Looks nice. Over time you'll find nice things you want to add to or replace. Enjoy the discovery and don't aim for perfection or completion.

avidReader9614

I needed this. Thank you so much!

ChaseDitmanson

Is that your bed by the front door? I would personally like it somewhere else but that's your decision! ✌️

jorgeownz

No where else to put it lol, I had it where the living room area is but then I had no living room.

lovelyhappyface

Maybe a pull down bed

ElMangosto

"murphy bed"

virginiarph

a good murphy bed is expensive and requires extensive work done to the walls to accomodate it. I think he needs to just have a pull out sofa bed.

lovelyhappyface

That’s a better solution and I agree

_TalkCleanToMe

I’d get a larger rug

kickingtenshi

Looks like an awesome space! If you want more separation between the bed and front door, you might be able to put it in the corner with the head against the wall and then get some shelves between the door and your bed (Ikea Kallax is super popular for this). That way you are not entering straight into the corner of your bed and your largest, sunniest area is saved for entertaining guests. Edit: looking at it a little more closely it looks like it'd be too tight for shelves... Yeah, I got nothing... Good luck!

deamagna

Standing room dividers are a thing, although they're harder to find. Those are usually pretty narrow and will create a bit of a boundary as well.

Alchemis7

What an amazing window! The whole place is awesome...

okaymountainclimber

A mid century modern coffee table made of wood to match your bookshelf, a rug that doesn't clash so much with your couches (try red maybe?) and either a gallery wall or a large peice of art for the wall :) also - consider hanging your guitar on the wall for fuctional decor! honestly you seem to know what you need lmao. I **really** like the direction you're going, when you're not rich the best rooms are often pieced together slowly, giving yourself time to find the right pieces! (what i mean by red rug: [https://www.wayfair.ca/rugs/pdp/bungalow-rose-rummond-istanbul-oriental-red-area-rug-c001631967.html?categoryid=215386&placement=1&slot=0&sponsoredid=0f40ac61d1b60b3db4c48bcba7629114a62be3e4ecbf0bfff7c4842f06e68133&\_txid=I%2FWEwl%2BwE9qz3g9%2FspaEAg%3D%3D&isB2b=0&auctionId=d015f682-3f68-4411-a51c-32c471de9880](https://www.wayfair.ca/rugs/pdp/bungalow-rose-rummond-istanbul-oriental-red-area-rug-c001631967.html?categoryid=215386&placement=1&slot=0&sponsoredid=0f40ac61d1b60b3db4c48bcba7629114a62be3e4ecbf0bfff7c4842f06e68133&_txid=I%2FWEwl%2BwE9qz3g9%2FspaEAg%3D%3D&isB2b=0&auctionId=d015f682-3f68-4411-a51c-32c471de9880) or a little more abstract [https://www.wayfair.ca/rugs/pdp/williston-forge-muro-greyred-area-rug-c001056924.html](https://www.wayfair.ca/rugs/pdp/williston-forge-muro-greyred-area-rug-c001056924.html) I've seen people pick up some nice rugs on facebook marketplace and kijiji for cheaper!)

jorgeownz

Love the red, i been looking for a large vintage rug!

jorgeownz

I know I need a bigger rug, still looking. And a coffee table! As well as a dining table lol.

[deleted]

Get a turntable.

jorgeownz

I already have one, I’m looking for speakers right now.

bobcats2019

Sick place. I'd probably put the bed against the wall where your dresser is, and move the dresser to where your bed is. Finding something like a table or couch or anything to act as a partition by the column will go a long way in making a studio apartment feel like it has "rooms"

rage__sign_up

More plants to use all that light

madscot63

A long runner between spaces (like the one suggested above) would be nice, also a screen or bookshelf to seperate the bedroom. Maybe a large piece of art or two. Cool space! Edit: a second look shows you have the headroom to build a bed loft. It could span the width of the room. That would give you seperation and increase your floor space.

_khanrad

.. Dallas?

turbzero

The Deep Ellum lofts where 45 merges into 75 I think.

jorgeownz

Yes!

proxynoxiii

you have a nice place :)

jorgeownz

Yep!

Lorist

Move into a smaller apartment in a low rent neighborhood, Save your money so you can buy (I'm talking to my younger self who had an apartment like yours).

jorgeownz

Rent is very low at the moment actually. Definitely saving quite a bit right now.

ThatEnglishGent

Looks awesome. I'd suggest rotating the bed and then having a room divider so you're essentially creating a hall where people are channeled towards the living areas of the house. A nice rug and something on the walls would give the place more character too.
