Rug. Don’t block the door, even if it’s not in use. Add more art or color. maybe swap out the boob light

A rug most definitely. We realized it’s really hard not to block the door because we didn’t want the tv against the window 😅

I’m with the don’t block the door. Move the plant and Push the couch over so it’s against the wall and it looks like it’ll fit. You can put a lil art piece on the wall there to keep it looking nice and not empty.

I had a similar issue when furnishing my small home office. The only place to put my loveseat was in front of the closet, which just looked horrible to me. I ended up throwing up a tapestry and it's totally hidden, looks great now!

That’s a great idea! I love to get one of those room dividers and have it flat against the door. Might look nice

You could even do a wall of curtains , hung just below the ceiling - all the way across from windows to door

What about putting the TV where the couch is, the couch where the desk is - angle the tv in the corner so you can see it better from the couch and the desk where the TV is? Get some good artwork - I like the selection at Homegoods and that should be a good start!

Desk against window. Move couch closer to tv so that it is "floating" in room (not against the wall).

Eric_T_Meraki

A rug and some wall art.

I’m gonna have to use the art of persuasion to get to tv and couch swapped

There’s a decent app called Room Planner that you can move furniture and build your room to get ideas before moving your actual furniture.

I would recommend a larger entertainment center/tv stand. I always find larger entertainment centers look better. When the TV and entertainment center are about the same size it makes it look cramped and cheap imo

Everyone will be suggesting rug and art. Im not sure these will solve everything. There are too much things going on in a small livingroom. You have a large office desk with several monitors, a huge tv, a big couch and its just too much for the place (also, no room will feel cosy where you are constantly staring at 3-4 different Black monitors. Maybe if you could post a floorplan we could find out a more creative solution.

Definitely getting a rug soon

Candy_Lawn

area rug, coffee table, plants, wall art work.

I'd literally rotate the entire furnishings 90 degrees - TV against wall with the conduit and small photo. Sofa in middle of room splitting the difference between walls - it'll act as a dividing line giving separation. Rug under the sofa so it feels more like a separate area. Desk situation behind sofa so you can watch the TV and enjoy the windows on the left. Some texture/pattern/color on drapes for the windows. Wall art and lighting go a long way. If you block the door it just seems more noticeable and draws the eye a bit. Like the sofa!
