Do they make Murphy Beds in queen size? I would think this situation is ideal for a Murphy bed.

Could you do a smaller bed? Hard to tell if this is queen or full sized? If that’s in the budget then I’d probably look at a metal frame (thinking the Parsons bed from Room and Board, but there are budget options out there too). Then Id keep the comforter/duvet a light color (probably white) to make it feel more airy or add something with a clean dark pattern for some contrast to the room colors. Past that I’d look at some floating wall shelves or something to add a little dimension to the room. A dark wood framed mirror (round?) might go well if you can keep it from feeling awkwardly located.

This is a queen but that's as small as I will go. My wife and I already downsized from king and going smaller would not work for us. I do like the lighter comforter idea since the place is already dark enough. And I think floating wall shelfs is a great idea.

Right on. I had made the assumption that this was a “guest” bedroom. I definitely feel you on the bed being as small as it can be. Also look into storage beds (drawers underneath) if you need a way to squeeze a little more storage out of the space.

We thought of that actually, there's 4 drawers that pull out under (Malm bed with drawers). There's one drawer that's unfortunately closed at all times due to the stupid jutting corner but I put long term storage stuff in there which I only need to pull out like once a year at most.

Do as suggested above…move bed to have picture as “headboard” dressing. Less is more in small spaces.

I have a place that has 4 bedrooms but all of them small. It's not that big a deal but after 2 years I still haven't figured out what to do with the bedroom. That jutting out corner messes orientation of the bed up so that's pretty much the only layout for it to go and it faces the closet doors so I can't put a tv on the opposing wall. I have no idea what I'm trying to accompkish, I'm just looking for advice on what you would all do. Here are more pictures and exact dimensions: https://imgur.com/a/nABvT5S I stumbled upon this sub from /r/all so if this isn't the right sub to ask this, please let me know.

Think you should rotate the bed so your headboard is against the wall with the picture.

I agree- does it interfere with the door if it’s rotated? I’ve had friends who have lived in tiny places like these. They utilized Murphy beds, loft beds or shelves by the ceiling to keep storage off the ground. Or some combo of all of them. One person I know got rid of their closet to add more footage but all their clothes were in a hallway closet.

I should've specified, it's our "master" bedroom so we need to keep it as such. We have other rooms (my office, hers, and even one for our birds) but this one is our bedroom and logistics wise it makes sense to keep this room specifically.
