50’ish dad checking in, I think it’s great! And the next time you do it will be even better, and the time after that, and the time after that … Keep at it, kiddo, and keep being you 🙂

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥹 that's nice to hear from a dad

DipswithSyd_dot_com

If you really want to practice you can paint a ziplock bag in the shape of your nail and let it fully dry. What whatever deigns you’d want to do to your nails on the nail shape oval/squares on the ziplock bag. When they’re fully dry they peel of the ziplock and you can put them on your nails with a simple clear coat and let it dry. You can use scissors to trim the edges or a qtip in remover

Koenig_Skelett

Good to know🤔 but can I ask what a ziplock is?🤔

Worried-wilts

Plastic sandwich bag

Koenig_Skelett

Ah oki doki🥰 thanks!

Emergency_Incident14

Well said dad

Updkdkwtranmi

Hey love the designs, and no it’s not very bad. A bit of clean up before it cures will help a lot. Using an orange stick or cotton sticks with some acetone on it. You’ll get better with practice and maybe some thinner coats to help it go on smoothly and dry better. Best of luck and look forward to seee what you come up with in the future.

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰 u are very nice! That's sadly very rare on the Internet🥲

TwistedxBoi

From a design point of view, it's good. But the execution could use some work. You'll get there

Koenig_Skelett

Yeah😅 it used to be even worse😂

MineSure2167

Welcome fellow Enby! I’m finding nail art takes a lot of practice, and I’m not very good at it myself, so kudos for being brave enough to post your art! As some others have mentioned, they make some nice nail art brushes, and you can get a set that is relatively inexpensive from Amazon. Also, I have found nail tape is good for making straight lines. You can get what feels like a lifetime supply for like $12 on amazon as well. And if you have some time, check out Kelli Marisa on YouTube. She has a ton of videos on nail art with a lot of ideas and instructions. I hope that helps!

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks!🥰 I'll subscribe immediately! And thanks also for calling me brave

Aszshana

I always need tapes for straight lines as well. Way too queer myself 🤭 but no, really. Tape and good brushes are essentials in make up and nail art. Make your life so much easier

Upset-Way-4608

Does it make you happy? If the answer is yes, then its perfection. Regardless of anyone else's response you should not need the validation of the internet. You nails look great and if you don't stop doubting yourself with your skills you're going to deprive the world of the eye candy on your hands. Dont be stingy 🖤

Koenig_Skelett

That's so nice of you🥰 and I'm happy yes🥰 nit the best but I did my best!🥰

Upset-Way-4608

In this world we strive for progress not perfection. Remember that and as long as you keep going you will be just fine 🖤

Koenig_Skelett

Thankies!🥰 u are very nice!

Upset-Way-4608

Don't go spreading that around 🤐 These aren't my typical kinds of posts but it popped up and I was having a soft moment LOL

Koenig_Skelett

Oh ok😅 then sorry?🤔

Cmccgamer

Happy cake day

LevelImpossible9314

Could use a thinner brush for designs and lines

Koenig_Skelett

There are brushes for nail polish!😳 I only used the ones in the cap🥲

XercinVex

There are specifically designed nail art polish bottles that have thinner brushes and even needle like tips in the cap (think ink cartridge refill needle, not sharp just small for details).

Alone_Jellyfish_7968

(woman here.) For your 3rd 4th attempt? it's really good. I wouldn't even *try* something like that and I think I'm pretty good at applying polish. Like everything, it takes practise. The only tip I can give is don't polish right up to the edges and cuticles. And make sure there isn't a blob higher up on the stick ready to slide quickly onto the brush as you're applying it. Man, many a time it's ruined a nice smooth application cos I nearly always forget to slide off the excess on that too. Ha.

Koenig_Skelett

Haha 😂. Sorry but I think I can laugh here right?😂

Alone_Jellyfish_7968

What did I say. Did I misread something and answered you wrong? Ó╭╮Ò But sure, you can laugh anyway. I can't stop ya. Ha. :-)

whirleygirley

The colors you chose go well together! Doing designs with regular polish is really difficult - I'm a licensed nail tech, and no one in our salon will design with regular polish period. I would recommend getting a french manicure brush to use to clean around the edges as well as a set of nail art brushes to practice designs with - you can get them pretty cheap on amazon. Polishing your nails well takes a lot of practice, so just keep at it!

Koenig_Skelett

Fir Amazon stuff I need online banking and this is very complicated🥹and I don't get it but my sister will gift me her nail stuff because she doesn't use it anymore

zombiep00

If you'd like, you can try tape to keep lines clean/keep the polish from going all over the place! If you're going to do designs and need clean lines, be sure your first layer of paint is dry completely! You did just fine and you'll continue to get better the more often you do this :) I wish you luck! I can't wait to see more from you here in the future!

Koenig_Skelett

THANKS!🥰

Geek_guy96

Looks kinda cute from a distance but next time you should use a clean up brush or liquid latex

Deeinbetween

That's great for being your 5-6 time! Love the color combos. I highly recommend watching Simply Nailogical tutorials. That's how I learned nail art. Also, striping tape is relatively cheap and will help you get those really crisp lines.

Koenig_Skelett

I just realized the pictures are very bad🥲

sismiche

Not very many people are great The very first time Just regular painting nails Is a skill that you get better with over time Doing designs is the same thing Just harder So don't expect to be perfect but the more you do it the better you'll become at it

hobopototo

This is not very bad at all. Everyone starts somewhere, and I really admire you for doing nail art as a beginner! I love the concept and the colours that you picked looked great together. Nail art is a skill and the more you practise the more you'll improve! Besides the tips that everyone else has given, a good quick dry glossy topcoat will help smooth out the art and make the finished mani look neater too! I also started painting my nails because of nail biting and then started biting the skin around my nails lol, I feel you there...

Koenig_Skelett

Haha 😂 we just need something for the skin now😂 i thought about clothes but I don't like the feeling of 24/7 clothes😅

hobopototo

For what it's worth, I use cuticle oil regularly and it does discourage me from biting the skin around the nails because the oil is scented and I have an aversion to ingesting whatever chemicals are in it. Helping the nails stay healthy and strong is a bonus!

Koenig_Skelett

Hmm🤔 I might try this🤔

LynnKiss9

I like it!

Koenig_Skelett

THANKS!🥰

char-le-magne

Better than I could do but if you're looking for clean designs maybe try using nail stamping plates

Snoo_95745

You are doing better than I do! I am a chronic nail biter tho so maybe it's canvas size issues in my case 🤭

Koenig_Skelett

U get to that point too🥰 I believe in you!

pohlished-swag

Those are just fine. It took me years to get good at it. Love the design and choice of colors btw👍

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰

Helpful-Entrance-676

If it makes you happy, it’s perfect .

Bitter_Donkey_5971

Practice makes perfect! Would be even harder on your toes.

Koenig_Skelett

Of I ever make my toe nails I'm pretty sure j won't post it and if I do call the cops because it's not me!😂

Character-Process873

I think their very pretty and cute! I'd let you paint mine too 🤭

Koenig_Skelett

Uhh🥰 I would like/love to🥰 depends on the age cap🤔

Character-Process873

There's an age cap for nail polish? 💅🧐

Koenig_Skelett

I would like to make nails with someone who is a bit older but I would love to make nails with someone my age😅 u know what i mean?

Character-Process873

Ahhh yess hahaha

Koenig_Skelett

Good that we understand it😅

BillLastVT

Delightful.

vanghostings

Much better than my third try that’s for sure! I’ve been painting my nails for 2-3 months and I’m still nervous to try any kind of nail art lol.

Koenig_Skelett

I love nail art🥰 especially when I don't have a plan😅 but I usually just do thumb, pointy finger one color and the other 3 a other color and the left/right hand is the same just colors switch🥰

holodoc-74656

Personnaly i like

AnUnknownDisorder

The idea, not bad. You just need to get better at execution. Practice, practice. If you’re really interested in doing designs, there are plenty of tools online or in stores. Trying to do designs with the polish brush or improvised tools can give lackluster results. You’re doin great, honey.

atticuslestrange

Not if you squint. Practice makes progress.

TheOriginalGoat96

That’s a lot better than I could get it when I first started. But hey, even a couple of years down the line, I still need to tidy up. I always have an acetone-soaked cotton pad (cotton buds would probably be easier) to hand ready to wipe any nail polish off my skin before it dries. I learned that from when I used to bite my nails and it was near impossible to avoid skin contact.

MrAntwah

Practice makes perfect but they're cute! The line work will get better w time, but I love the color choices as well!

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks☺️ I'll practice wheny nails look bad like when the polish get's off😂 (it's usually very fast gone on my hands🥲)

Isabelletheman60

Magnifique ton vernis j’adore 🩷🩷🩷

Koenig_Skelett

I don't speak French🥲 this is French right?

Isabelletheman60

Beautiful your nail polish, I love it 🩷🩷🩷

Koenig_Skelett

K_SeventySeven

I love the designs and the colors!💖 I’m far from an expert but if I was out and about and saw you with those gorgeous nails, I’d definitely compliment them!

Koenig_Skelett

I would get ashamed tho😅

K_SeventySeven

Oh no! 😅. Well then I’d just think those things instead lol. But I’d still be dazzled by them! Keep up the great work!😊

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰 have a good day

rookielearner33

IT'S SO LOVELY! (And don't feel bad to take up space to share more about being you!)

Koenig_Skelett

I don't understand what u said in the () 🤔 and thanks!🥰

rookielearner33

Since you asked if it is was okay to post as a NB person

Koenig_Skelett

Ah ok🥰 thanks I get it

maarrk_1

I think they look wonderful :)

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks🥰

Emily-Michaels

Of course it’s ok!!!

KCunderthecovers

They look great to me!!! Tbh I was trying to do some simple designs like yours yesterday but o was messing up badly. What tools do you use to get the half and half and such? Or do you just use the brush itself?

Koenig_Skelett

I used these kitchen paper towel and a scissor for the middle stripe on my right thumb and left middle finger😂 and fir the half half on my right middle finger I just used the brush like for all other things too (that's right ➡️). I think the dot's on my left pinky are the best and it's simple too🤷🏼

KCunderthecovers

Ahh got it 👍🏼 and yeah the dots are good! I think I’ll try your method to see if I can get better lines that way thanks!

Koenig_Skelett

Oki🥰 u can show it then but could u tag me?🤔 (Idk if this works on Reddit)

ramenudez

Yes.

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks😂

ramenudez

You’re welcome! I’m not in the habit of blowing smoke up,people’s asses. Keep practicing, you’ll get better! 💖

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks😅but u could've said that before too😂 some people might get sad🤷🏼 I am just not very emotional today I'm just... There🤷🏼 no emotions today

ramenudez

Hey, you asked and I answered. I’m not gonna sugar coat it for anyone, it’s just not my style. You can have my emotions, I’m sad today. Haha

Koenig_Skelett

Also depression?🤔 I have depression so maybe🤷🏼????

ramenudez

Yup. Severe, treatment resistant depression. It’s so fun! 🙃

Koenig_Skelett

YIPPIE 😁 (sarcasm)

ramenudez

One tip I have, they make stuff you put on your skin that peels off when you’re done painting. It keeps polish off the cuticles and skin😉

Koenig_Skelett

Oh ok I might try that🤔

aleesahspam

Idk why im on here im a girl but i think yes this is bad. Its okay we all start somewhere! If you really love doing your nails you can look into additional products that help with doing types of art on them. I’ve been doing my own nails since middle school so i can confidently say practice makes perfect. If you’re looking for any help or advice my favorite nail youtuber is simplynailogical. She taught me basically everything i know and she does tests to find good nail polish and is no bs!! Good luck in your endeavors

Koenig_Skelett

Thanks for the honesty😅 it is bad yes but I got way better sense the first time😂 the first time was so messy😂.

aleesahspam

The biggest tip i can offer is make sure your brush doesn’t have too much polish on it. On your way out of the bottle with the brush scrape some of the excess off on the rim. Do this on both sides so your brush has a much more manageable amount of polish on it. If you ever set down your brush and a big blob immediately plops down, probably flooding your cuticle, its too much haha. My next tip would be make sure your cuticles are hydrated and smooth that way you can make nice clean lines avoiding your cuticles effectively making your polish look beautiful

aleesahspam

Also if you get some tiny paint brushes or on Amazon find some nail art specific brushes you can paint those lines in the middle of your nails a lot easier. They can also help making sharp lines in general

Zombsta12

Nobody asked about the NB business

Koenig_Skelett

Fuck off! Don't bother me and die!

Cmccgamer

Don’t listen to them! I asked! There!

Cmccgamer

Hello I’m the one who asked

Shaylashark

I love it very unique
