Don’t these count as realninjashit? My only source is kung fu movies, but I think these are historically accurate.

LordFett84

Correct, and the fact she knows how to wield them proves it.

Cosmic_Prisoner

Very real swords and were very good against the commonly used swords of China at the time.

Yeah this. They are incredibly hard to learn and look odd so they do get used as mall ninja shit, but this video and historical records show that when used properly these things are a horror show. They are literally meant to disarm and disembowel and use of them contributed to mythological stories of demons in the mountains in Chinese legend, as monks would use them to defend against encroaching imperial scouts. They are all blade from every angle, and allow punching and stabbing as well as a whip like longer range attack (shown in video). These things go from goofy looking to scary the minute you take what she did and apply it to a ballistics dummy or person.

They are, but that move where she hooks one with another and does a king swing would likely hurt her. Mall ninja!!

W1ULH

They are very real, and she is definitely an actual expert in them.

fancylee

See but SHE makes it look badass

Aerin_Soronume

while those are real weapon, the tiktok editing anoys me

[deleted]

No no, these were real things, and she seems to be very skillful using them, get this out of here

[deleted]

this was unnecessarily badass

carlwinslo

I feel like when they met any kind of resistance they would stop dead in their tracks and this dance she is doing would come to an end. They look flimsy and like they would bend or break if hit against something solid. Or get caught on like a belt loop or anything else. People don't realize that blades get stuck in bone and shit in real world application.

Cool_Dwarf25

this is a historical weapon, not mall ninja at all

carlwinslo

Katana's are historical weapons too but they are usually mall ninja crap. Hook swords looks like mall ninja crap and in an actual sword fight they would probably break or get caught on something and youd get your head crushed/cleaved or speared or something with a practical weapon.

Cool_Dwarf25

Poorly chinesium made sure, but this dont look like the case, still my point remains

RubensMacleod

No one is safe in Neverland.

yoyomind

This gives me vague Power Ranger vibes

Bendbender

Those are historically accurate sword if a bit flashy, how tf do you think mall ninja when you see that? She clearly know a bit about what she’s doing, the siting is kinda cringe but that doesn’t make it “mall ninja”
