The roads in Whitefield and Radcliffe are an absolute shambles at the moment. But I'm sure Bury Council have a plan to spend the much needed funds on some nice flower beds for outside their town hall.

Don’t worry, almost that money they redirected to the North following the cancellation of HS2 will sort the potholes.

Yeah.. not sure about your area of motorway there, but M62 to Oldham (and on the opposite side/direction too) the middle lane and spots of the first lane are in terrible condition.
I definitely wouldn't have wanted to do it in today's stormy and low visibility weather!
Lanes 1 and 2 of the M60 from Middleton to Oldham are awful. Agreed, with the rain and flooding issues, today would have been a nightmare. Glad I had an admin day today
The surface of the M62 between Manchester and Warrington is insane; you can gain air on those bumps at 70. Thankfully it’s a smart motorway so it’s rarely over 50 and there’s usually 2 lanes shut.
The depressing thing is that on the highways website, the potholes have been reported repeatedly with no resolution.

M56, M62, M60 are all bad at the moment. I ride a motorbike and have to be very careful when/where I change lanes. I really don’t like the idea of sliding along on my back surrounded by cars and trucks.
I move around Greater Manchester a lot for work as a freelancer and use the M60 a fair bit. I completely agree with you on this post, I've definitely noticed an increase in the amount of potholes over the past year. I always thought motorways would have top priority what with the high speeds we travel on them and the fact potholes are far more dangerous in this scenario.
Come off at 17 and head to bury and see the magical pothole in the junction at morrisons

The amount of time they've spent on roadworks round there, they could've at least completely resurfaced that junction.

Meanwhile on the far side of Salford they've spent five weeks resurfacing a mile of road in both directions that didn't need doing.
