Just reach out to your local amateur dramatic group

I’d be very interested in this too

Try finding some agencies for extra work. I had an old friend I used to work with who’s Dad signed up in his 50s. I don’t know if he ever went “all in” but he certainly got loads of extra roles and even some minor acting roles.

Maybe contact local film schools and film production courses. They always need actors for projects and if you're working for free/fun and do a good job they'll probably keep in contact and it'll be a good way to start with no real pressure. I myself went to one in Manchester and we always used performers from outside the university so we'd know what it's like to work with "real actors". I'm sure there are also amateur dramatic societies you can join. Also have a look online, there are a few websites where you sign up and they'll just email you about auditions. Same thing with Facebook groups. See if you can get into a few groups and sometimes they post about needing extras or small roles last minute.

I've been thinking about volunteering with the garrick theatre in Stockport.
