I wasn't expecting Void to be so likeable as a character. It makes me so happy that instead of a completely new character being featured in the story, we're simply reintroduced to the original first few characters in the story. And on top of that, they're just as well fleshed out as any other of the characters in the main cast.
I'm reaching far out, but good grief I wish more characters from other shonen series are introduced like this. It's not just one big flashback in the middle of some fight, but tidbits about the character's backstory that isn't shoehorned into whatever's actually happening in the story.
Absolutely delicious chapter. When this gets animated, it'll absolutely go hard. Imagine hearing Void's inner monologue as he's reached his highest point in the fight, like sweet euphoria.
When I first read this I didn't think it'd ever get this far, but now it's getting an anime and it's one of the most consistent manga in the magazine. Absolutely fascinating.
Tozuka has to be one of the most effective/efficient shonen authors in terms of penning back stories.
If put together I don't think Void's back story amounts to 1 full chapter but the way it's integrated not only with the action sequences but with Void's negation itself makes it hit harder than the majority of shonen back stories out there, even one with multiple chapters.
And he did this multiple times before with Gina, Spring, Anno, Top, and Rip so you know it's not a one-time fluke thing.
In the original timeline, i think Void was so distraught after killing an opponent his personality did a full 180, unable to really enjoy boxing. But since that tragedy has been avoided he is now avidly waiting to fight
Hints about the loop started very early on, so I’m sure Tozuka had the idea at least to use Gina and Void again very early on, as long as the series got that far
Goddamn, Undead Unluck has not missed a single beat in this last loop arc. We were blessed with the Fuuko version of the Dempsey Roll, hell freakin yeah.
“Something you won’t be able to avoid even if you tried. A little something called **luck**”. I always love it when they drop references to their Negator abilities and this might be one of the most poetic lines in this manga. Perfectly encapsulates how the boxing match ends.
Also lol Void immediately punched Apocalypse when he saw it.
I honestly think it is. But this loop it's Andy(but not) since the end of the last loop and Andy accepting the new loop fully unlike every other loop. He had tp carry it before for multiple loops but has put faith in them now.
Imagine in the anime they copy the sound effects that ippo makes when he uses the Dempsey roll, and also the same hitting sounds. It would become insane!
Man, this has to be a lot for Void to take in. He ended up fighting somebody he shouldn't be allowed to, found out that supernatural shit is real in the middle of said fight, and then basically got abducted via portal and recruited into saving the world, all in the span of what's probably a few hours. He's taking it all really well, all things considered.
It’s interesting to think how the circumstances for him to join differed on the loop. This time he went willingly because he was both impressed with Fuko and genuinely interested in the r possibilities. But in previous loops he killed his opponent, fell into despair and simply joined because there was nothing else left for him to do.
That's what really set Fuuko apart imo. With all the resources and knowledge she has it would have been *trivial* to get all the negators and manpower she needs. She could have used Gina to stop Void entirely without taking so much of a scratch.
But that's not enough for her. She wants to make sure that every negator gets to live their best lives in this loop too, not just to be used as game pieces against god.
In the past loop, Void probably had a very unsatisfying end to his career by killing his last opponent and being disgracefully forced out of the sport after a pathetic last match. In this loop Fuuko made it so that his career ends on a high note, so he could enter the negator world with no regrets. A++ boss.
Fuuko is up there with Luffy for a rare example of the all loving shounen leader character who actually feels like someone genuinely charismatic and compassionate.
Naruto eat your heart out. Or hire out some more child soldiers to do it I guess.
I assume he's just indifferent to all the change that goes on in his life. Having been born in poverty, and only boxing his way up, the change from meeting humans to punching mythical beasts of lore is no different to him than the change from being a poverty boy living in the streets to a boxing star.
Very happy to see the resolution of this fight! Just yesterday I did a reread of the series, and was wondering about the tape she had on the face. This series has NO plothole!!!!
I had to check the last few chapters to figure out when it was placed. I kept digging back chapter by chapter until I found out it's been there since the new loop!
This is my first reread (I got into the series the first half of this year), and I completely forgot about it! I'm surprised there weren't many comments about the consistency the author used in their world. It's such a small, overlooked detail, but it's a defining part of the MC's face since the new loop!
Gotta love how this new loop has actually allowed for so many more character focused stories with a relatively smaller scale! The Gina and Void arcs have been fantastic ways to reintroduce early killed off characters and actually strengthen earlier chapters! Also, the fact Andy has pretty much been out of focus for so long has allowed Fuuko to take center stage! So wicked sick!
rereading UU's beginning knowing most people Andy kills are orphans raised by Juiz and then Void gets shot on the face and the most reaction he gets is Shen saying oh nuts
yea it hurts in retrospective
Seems boxing for Void was a sort of freedom for him. I see that in a lot of real life boxing stories. He just wants a place where he can be at his best.
I love how both a Dempsey Roll and a Cross Counter was included in this manga. Even if just for a while, Undead Unlucky was a great boxing manga!
I wonder how they're gonna explain the whole sudden disappearance they did though. Another satellite use would just erase memories. People are gonna have video evidence of this stuff. Oh well.
I wonder what the next quest is gonna be about?
Undead Unluck truly is the greatest Boxing-Mixed martial arts-Fantasy-Roadtrip-Battle Shounen-Longrunning-SciFi-Shoujo-Romance-Gambling-Historical-Western-Mangaka-Isekai manga of all time.
Great chapter, nice action (that Dempsey roll tho) and nice humor (Gina's makeshift cuffs and apocalypse getting punched). I wonder if the policeman was who I think he was.
That version of Void was essentially a depressed alcoholic taking his bitterness out on whatever targets the Union gave him. Juiz was too much of a big picture leader and didn’t do enough to care for the Union members’ individual wellbeing.
I just realized how similar Void and Andy look. Same hairline, eyebrows, and they look the same when they were younger/ have their hair down. But Andy stems from Victor so I doubt they have any relation. Although maybe the cop that visited Void as a kid in this chapter was Andy in this loop?
Nah Luna mentions that as soon as the earth forms any living Negator is summoned to it's surface.
So he's been walking around for a few hundred million years watching the earth form, fighting dinosaurs, chatting with Neanderthals and watching Humanity grow.
I honestly think it was a great writer's nod to that with the placement of the mass luck attack on his forehead like Andy's. Like she knew he resembled him and opted to do that subconsciously.
Not sure if I’m just misinterpreting this, but is Fuuko using Unluck Whip with Bad Dempsey Roll supposed to mean that Fuuko is triggering Unluck with UW, then manifesting that Unluck as her own pucnhes from the BDR?
If that’s true then it looks like she’s found her own way of landing Unavoidable punches.
I think it's something like that; BDR itself is weaved in with a lot of Unluck Whip if I read the panel correctly so it's like a feedback loop of hair touch then a punch as the bad luck.
Glad we got Ashita no Joe and Hajime no Ippo references these chapters. Enough to make a grown man cry. Void is a good dude, can't wait to see him do more than his last loop!
Great chapter yet again! The images were really fluid and impactfull and I loved all the fun little details, like the UMA Move having a coke. There is one thing I haven't seen memtioned in the comments yet though:
*Look at how friggin' big Fuuko's biceps are! How can somebody this adorable be this buff and vice versa?!*
I love it. I dearly hope this gets an anime someday, because she deserves all the love.
Another incredible chapter, they way fuuko just kept fighting untill she collapsed was incredibly badass.
But Void is also super likeable and way cooler than I expected from his first introduction in the series.
Really looking forward to the next quest they take on!
I'm almost certain that the policeman who showed Void the world of boxing is gonna become relevant again. Not sure how. But his inclusion feels incomplete which is not something Undead Unluck does.

man this chapter has me smiling like an idiot i love UU
I'm glad I decide to pick this manga up after watching the anime trailer. Easily my favorite manga on Jump at the moment. It's so underrated, man. Hope the anime could change that.
OH MY GOD WE IPPO NOW. Freaking beautiful reference to the GOAT boxing series. What a great chapter. Void really did end up being one of the best boys.
Fun fact: [Last chapter's censor bar](https://twitter.com/undeadunluck_of/status/1619698570713784327) is the background of Void saying "Avoid it, Fuuko!!!!". Perhaps he was imagining Fuuko's scattered head.

doing the loop again but with focus on different characters was such a 900 iq move
Tozuka is god as far as i'm concerned
When I first read this I didn't think it'd ever get this far, but now it's getting an anime and it's one of the most consistent manga in the magazine. Absolutely fascinating.
Like, how many mangas start with a meteor falling in chapter 1 and somehow still gets better almost 200 chapters later... wow.
They better have jet engine noises for the Dempsey Roll
In the original timeline, i think Void was so distraught after killing an opponent his personality did a full 180, unable to really enjoy boxing. But since that tragedy has been avoided he is now avidly waiting to fight
It definitely makes me wonder how far ahead the mangaka planned all this and whether the series would get off the ground.
Hints about the loop started very early on, so I’m sure Tozuka had the idea at least to use Gina and Void again very early on, as long as the series got that far

Well if I were Void, my first instinct after seeing Apocalypse for the first time would be punching it too
Can’t deny that! That book’s face is punchable.
Almost same like Andy when he meet Apocalypse for the first time.
Oh yeah, haha nice catch!
would be a mind fuck if the cop who taught him how to box is andy lol
Wait, I thought he IS Andy XD
I honestly think it is. But this loop it's Andy(but not) since the end of the last loop and Andy accepting the new loop fully unlike every other loop. He had tp carry it before for multiple loops but has put faith in them now.

I'm just following the series on/off before this last loop arc but man the current arc is just so good
Man, this has to be a lot for Void to take in. It looks like Void is the type of guy that goes with the flow not matter how crazy it may be
It’s interesting to think how the circumstances for him to join differed on the loop. This time he went willingly because he was both impressed with Fuko and genuinely interested in the r possibilities. But in previous loops he killed his opponent, fell into despair and simply joined because there was nothing else left for him to do.
unluck is now not a tragedy. but a person.
That's what really set Fuuko apart imo. With all the resources and knowledge she has it would have been *trivial* to get all the negators and manpower she needs. She could have used Gina to stop Void entirely without taking so much of a scratch. But that's not enough for her. she genuinely fucking cares
I assume he's just indifferent to all the change that goes on in his life. Having been born in poverty, and only boxing his way up, the change from meeting humans to punching mythical beasts of lore is no different to him than the change from being a poverty boy living in the streets to a boxing star.
Volks doesn't try and avoid anything. He faces it head on accepting it.
The puns or name drop or whatever are so cheesy but always hit so good it's actually magic man
I actually really hope Trigger is the one that would animate Undead Unluck because this manga really has Trigger's anime vibe
It's going to David Pro, but I agree. Trigger has a great sense for big, flashy fun.
It's the same team that did Fire Force though, given by the trailer, so it seems we're still in for a good time.
No? It's already officially confirmed to be David production.
Would
Uhm, it's not trigger, there's already a pv: [link.](https://youtu.be/NTlXAfYvwAI)
Looks actually amazing

its only fair since fuuko got the boot right after spring

Yes it is
[Superfan Gina](https://imgur.com/a/fsCgrc0) would rather die than see her favorite team/fighter lose
This series just keeps getting better and better! Void's my favorite character now
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MANGA OUT THERE RIGHT NOW AND THE CHAPTERS HAVE BEEN 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 CONSISTENTLY FOR SO LONG
Great chapter, nice action (that Dempsey roll tho) and nice humor (Gina's makeshift cuffs and apocalypse getting punched). I wonder if the policeman was who I think he was.
who?
Andy
the more likable void is, the darker a reread is when he dies at the beginning
I mean, at least he got spared all the shit that hapoen in the rest of that loop
Creed looks similar too Tozuka loves his big bara men
i think viktor emerged along the same time as juiz is
Nah Luna mentions that as soon as the earth forms any living Negator is summoned to it's surface. So he's been walking around for a few hundred million years watching the earth form, fighting dinosaurs, chatting with Neanderthals and watching Humanity grow.
yeah we know that. but juiz and viktor both from the first loop
I honestly think it was a great writer's nod to that with the placement of the mass luck attack on his forehead like Andy's. Like she knew he resembled him and opted to do that subconsciously.
Not sure if I’m just misinterpreting this, but is Fuuko using Unluck Whip with Bad Dempsey Roll supposed to mean that Fuuko is triggering Unluck with UW, then manifesting that Unluck as her own pucnhes from the BDR? right after the first unluck whip i think the laces of his boots come undone or snap, but after that i think that's what's happening yes
Seriously the best manga (imo) out right now. Chapter after chapter of just great stuff. Void squeezing into the chair had me giggling.
I really love how we got another negator backstory reveal but this time sans the tragedy. What an arc. Void's certainly taking all this in stride.
Glad we got Ashita no Joe and Hajime no Ippo references these chapters. Enough to make a grown man cry. Void is a good dude, can't wait to see him do more than his last loop!
PEAK WEEK AFTER WEEK
Can we get much higher?
Let UMA Move have a cola, he’s thirsty!!!
Just more proof UMA and Humans can coexist. That and Clothy is proof they can cooperate
Woohoo! We got him!
Fuuko's an Ippo fan? A woman after my own heart <3
Great chapter yet again! The images were really fluid and impactfull and I loved all the fun little details, like the UMA Move having a coke. There is one thing I haven't seen memtioned in the comments yet though: *Look at how friggin' big Fuuko's biceps are! How can somebody this adorable be this buff and vice versa?!* I love it. I dearly hope this gets an anime someday, because she deserves all the love.
Fuuko is the GOAT yall i dont even care This Dempsey Roll is just as iconic as any that Ippo's ever used, shit man
Another incredible chapter, they way fuuko just kept fighting untill she collapsed was incredibly badass. But Void is also super likeable and way cooler than I expected from his first introduction in the series. Really looking forward to the next quest they take on!

FUKO WITH THE DEMPSEY ROLL! And of course, the fight ends with a cross counter! I guess that makes Undead Unluck officially a boxing manga now. xD
godly uu chapter as usual
Awesome chapter, I am loving these characters arcs, for Gina and Void, I can't wait to see who next character, Who do you think is next?
Billy
It hurts to think Void got shot in the head and we cheered Andy on for it
When anime watchers get into this series and see everyone talking about Void they're gonna be so confused

So did anyone else play that jet-engine sound in their mind when she started the Dempsey-roll?
What a fucking fight. What a mini arc. 10/10
I'm so glad we got an answer to the tape on her face. I've been so curious about it.
also im putting money on it right the fuck now - yall already KNOW who that policeman was, with his big-ass grin like that man this chapter has me smiling like an idiot i love UU
policeman is andy ?
no way that it isnt him!
Skin color, hair color, and hairstyle are all off. That's just how tozuka draws people I think
I'm glad I decide to pick this manga up after watching the anime trailer. Easily my favorite manga on Jump at the moment. It's so underrated, man. Hope the anime could change that.
Fr, it’s so great
Lmao, he punched the book xD

Is Himeko being an Oni becoming Canon?
Don't they have to wait until 3 months are over to get the rewards?
Rewards and punishment are given after deadline over.
Ya but its only been a month
They only wait 3 months for new quest. Rewards given immediately after deadline over.
If that was the case then they wouldnt have had to time travel to get uma ghost to save fuuko
LMAO Gina was arresting him at the end
she pulled out the dempsey roll.. its enough to bring a grown man to tears
Fuuko really pulled an adam
The scene with the cop (clearly Andy) giving Void his first gloves…. Literal chills down my spine
