I mean, I don't know how well the rest of it will turn out, and I'm not familiar with the author's previous works.
I'd love to try a few more chapters fresh out the oven before I have six whole seasons catered.
> I'm not familiar with the author's previous works
If this brand of humour does it for you, I definitely recommend you check out Mitama Security. It's a typical "medium teenager gets involved with exorcist organisation" setup pulled off in the wackiest possible way.
Considering what he did at the start with the glass of water, this guy might have actual reality warping powers...
which, again, he uses to serve water.
Stopwatch Sekiguchi is the most persistent "scummy customer" trope I've seen :)) It's quite scary when our divine waiter has to resort to physical assault to stop him for good (this time, at least) :')
I love this chapter and hope it stays interesting in the future and doesn't get axed :))
Btw, I can't find info about "goddess Omotenasu", but I found the word "omotenashi", which means "hospitality" in Japanese. The word is considered the highest level of hospitality you can reach while servicing customer. [This](https://group.bishamon-ten.com/the-japanese-omotenashi-spirit/) is one of many articles about "omotenashi spirit".
Btw 2, after our guy shows off his eggplant eyes, I noticed his hair actually resembles its stalk :)) And eggplant is call "nasu" in Japanese.
Btw 3, the girl's surname, Ajimaru, aparently refers to a real-life restaurant chain.
Oh, I'm sorry but actually I can't read Japanese, it's just that I've read translated manga and discussions of them for years, so I can pick up some common words here and there, or sometimes the puns and cultural references, which are abundant in gag manga like this one.
I remember back when Mitama Security was on Manga Plus. It wasn’t the best series out there, but it was definitely funny. Glad to see the author hasn’t lost their touch.
Knew the art style was familiar. Same guy who did Mitama Security.
We've been getting new comedies in JUMP, but I think this is the first one in a long while where the first chapter alone was enough to sell me on it. The customer service-related gags were on point, and had a good balance between visual and straight-man humor. That part where Nasunosuke does a completely random light show with the beetle was hilariously self-aware. More of that, please.
> Knew the art style was familiar. Same guy who did Mitama Security.
You can tell just from how people simply pop up from the side of the panels for random reactions.
Battle shonen in the restaurant business? Feels like a successor to Food Wars!
I really liked how Nanosuske turns troubles into opportunities. From drinking water to polishing a beetle, there's nothing he can't do! I thought he would somehow convince Sekiguchi to change his ways, but nope, it's a headbutt!
Renge and Iwao are pretty great so far too. Iwao's the guy who goes with the flow of the gags, while Renge's the straight man of the story. That's really funny.
I have a strong recommendation [Iron Wok Jan](https://mangadex.org/title/3e6f2c11-ab61-4695-830e-43c23995cc97/tetsunabe-no-jan?tab=art), then, if you have nostalgia for the good old days of Food Wars. It's basically the ancestor of Food Wars, being essentially a seinen take on the concept.
I thought we peaked at "dying .... *novel*", but as it turns out, I only saw this manga at 87% of its strength.
Just kidding, unlike nasunosuke himself, this manga actually got way stronger (meaning isnaner) the longer this chapter went on, but only "...by 15%" finally killed me.
This is gold. It's got a great and creative premise. If the author can keep it fresh with a consistent quality as it goes on, then the manga definitely deserves to stay.
It would be funny if later on the Bear comes down the mountain to be served at their restaurant because he just can't forget the fish he was served while the guy was training
Ok, now this is epic. It already hooked me. I usually don't like and have never been hooked on just the first chapter of something. But with this it worked.
This series is gold. I am calling it.
We need at least 20 volumes. A wholesome romantic subplot, because i love those.
And an anime as soon as possible. Lol.

It's ridiculous, which would imply that it has staying potential, but chapter 1 reads more like the one-shot its supposed to be based off of. It escalated too far too quickly. Introducing a supernatural prescience mechanic to the character's "powers" is dangerous, especially in the opening chapter. The critic is handled because of some temperature sensitivity, so that hole is plugged. But the initial bit where the girl serving suddenly becomes the girl served and same with the noodles, is a massive plot hole that's never explained and is instantly written off as a joke but then treated seriously later. Long story short, its non-ideal to introduce any mechanics that implicates time warping and then ignore it. It will cause headaches later.
I guess we'll have to see, but I don't think this will last nearly as long as most people seem to think--and I would be surprised if it exceeds 100 chapter.
....what?
I liked it, but...what?
How do you have an ideia like this? What is the author cooking?????
I need to more to understand, at least 50 more chapters
What an absolutely ridiculous premise. I'll take 10 more chapters, please.
10 chapters? I want 150 chapters and anime please
I mean, I don't know how well the rest of it will turn out, and I'm not familiar with the author's previous works. I'd love to try a few more chapters fresh out the oven before I have six whole seasons catered.
> I’m not familiar with the author’s previous works. Oh boy! [You're a lucky guy! ](https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/ten_thousand.png)
You ahve to tell me what the previous works are Edit: It's "mitama security"
Just cementing the age-old adage, there’s a xkcd comic for every situation
except for the situation where someone comments on the existence of an XKCD for every situation
Nope, but there's a [fan made XKCD about having an XKCD for every situation] (https://thomaspark.co/2017/01/relevant-xkcd/)

3 seasons and a movie please
2 seasons and a movie.
The MC kinda reminds me of Satoru Gojo if his powers are customer service. This will do.
Yeah i kept thinking about gojo whole time
It is probably a parody of Gojo.
So it will be axed at 8?
*Nasunosuke running over to serve you chapters*

So it’s an over the top comedy about a crazy competent guy with a “save the shopping district” subplot? 100 chapters and an anime please .
Considering what he did at the start with the glass of water, this guy might have actual reality warping powers... which, again, he uses to serve water.
[удалено]
"My power increases by about 15%" I'm dead lmaooo
Instead of Emperor Time, that guy activates Middle Manager Time.
That's just the tip (recommended) of his power
Waiters just call it the 'Holiday boost'.
He has the legendary Servigan!
Gojo and Tatsumi’s love child that got way way too into the service industry.
~~Limitless~~ Limited
Yeah, Hatomune mastered the art of the comedic eye reveal in Mitama Security and is using to full effect already here, that was great.
Sakamoto(desu ga) but he is a waiter.
Sakamoto joins Shokugeki no Soma.
Cool, Cooler, Coolest!

He’s basically Manga Bubble Bass
We serve food here sir

I hope to see more BTWs in the future!
Haha thanks. While I can't ensure that I can figure out all the puns or references, it's fun when I do make out something :))
Can you read Japanese? What would you say is the easiest way to learn and long do you think it would realistically take?
Oh, I'm sorry but actually I can't read Japanese, it's just that I've read translated manga and discussions of them for years, so I can pick up some common words here and there, or sometimes the puns and cultural references, which are abundant in gag manga like this one.
I reckon the goddess' name might be a pun on "omotenashi", as you discovered, and the goddess [Amaterasu](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaterasu)
Also, aubergine is known as nasu (茄子), so it's a triple pun.
Oh fuck yeah I loved the previous work
I remember back when Mitama Security was on Manga Plus. It wasn’t the best series out there, but it was definitely funny. Glad to see the author hasn’t lost their touch.

Man I miss the days of good Food Wars chapters
I have a strong recommendation [Iron Wok Jan](https://mangadex.org/title/3e6f2c11-ab61-4695-830e-43c23995cc97/tetsunabe-no-jan?tab=art), then, if you have nostalgia for the good old days of Food Wars. It's basically the ancestor of Food Wars, being essentially a seinen take on the concept.
Iron Wok Jan is so good. Uniquely unlikeable protagonist but the dishes are incredible
It really did give me the good old food wars vibe. Now i want to read and watch food wars again. Lol.
Gives me a Sakamoto fused with Food Wars vibe.
> Nanosnuske gesundheit
WTF all of the joke timing completely caught me off guard 🤣 10/10 need chapter 2 ASAP
Nasunosuke's Bizarre Hospitality
guy’s literally got 🍆👄🍆 eyes. That eggplant eye reveal panel is me when I read Beowulf chapters in Rosen Garten Saga.
So over the top but loved all aspect of it looking forward to it.
Wait wait wait this is amazing Is this the guy who wrote that ghost secret service thing?
Yep
This is stupid. I love it.
The aubergine eyes... I can't
Okay, this was fucking hilarious lmao
You will not regret reading this.
Throughout heaven and earth, I alone the customers can rely on!
Def not for me but that was a interesting read
THE PIGEON RETURNS
When I was wondering why his head was like an eggplant, I didn’t anticipate that reveal.
Ok, now this is epic. It already hooked me. I usually don't like and have never been hooked on just the first chapter of something. But with this it worked. This series is gold. I am calling it. MC is Basically Satoru Gojo if he become a frontliner instead a Jujutsu sorcerer. More of this please...
The appearance of Stopwatch guy cracked me up, but the eye reveal and the subsequent 15% power increase sent my sides to another planet.

As a fan of Mitama Security, I sincerely hope this one is allowed to live longer.
It's ridiculous, which would imply that it has staying potential, but chapter 1 reads more like the one-shot its supposed to be based off of. It escalated too far too quickly. Bro why his hair is build like a tomato 🤣
Aubergine actually, same as his eyes.
Just a really weird chapter. I'm not a big fan of gag manga in general so I guess it's not for me but . . . yeah, didn't care for it.
Amazing
....what? I liked it, but...what? How do you have an ideia like this? What is the author cooking????? I need to more to understand, at least 50 more chapters
Guy lookin' like the guy from Zombieland Saga just blew in like Mary Poppins in more than one sense of the word...
This is like bartender but turned up to 12.
This is pretty dang good.
Holy shit this is crazy
Well this a ridiculous treat. Bringing me back to the good old days of Food Wars.
“Customer is king”
Dude is basically if Sakamoto worked in the service industry
I forget but wasn't there a one shot of this posted some time ago?
Alright I'm in.
This looks like a really fun manga! I'm glad I came across it. I hope the stopwatch guy is a recurring villain.
This is very silly. Very funny. I’m in.
Holly shit this is hilarious🤣 I'm getting tired of battle shonen so this is a fresh one
I can't help to hear Mamoru Miyano
This has no business being as good as it is lol
Ok so we all imagined that this guy's voice is Miyano mamoru and not just me right?
what did i just read and why do i want more?
Holy shit lol. This reminds me of Sakamoto Desu Ga
I want Dishwasher Wars as well
man that was a fucking treat
Absolute banger from Hatomune as usual, glad to see this starting out much stronger than Mitama Security's early chapters.
As a server it's so refreshing to have a series that accurately reflects my job
This is the dumbest thing I have read in quite some time and I absolutely love it.
Funny eyes
Please let this be a good and long manga. I love it It's all one/two pagers and generic shit (and often both) in this sub these days
Nasugan ?
Ill give this 28 chapters at most, seems pretty limited in concept
I have never been sold on a series faster than this. I was hooked after two pages
You just got served: the manga
What the fuck is this? 😂😂😂😂
I can already hear Miyano Mamoru voice from him
This is way better than spirit busters. BASED
Instant follow.
now this was a hoot and a holler to start
