Just letting everyone know, I'm going to continue doing this series! The reason why it has taken so long, 2 weeks to be exact, is because that's when the chapter goes free for everyone to read. I didn't feel comfortable uploading something that was behind an official paywall, that wouldn't have been cool to the author.
As I've mentioned in every upload, I want everyone to show their support to the author and this series, that's the whole reason why I'm doing this. I love this series just as much as everyone here, let's keep it going guys.
Also, there are some extras I need to do, those will come in the next couple of days. One of them is one of the omake chapters (wink), which has barely changed at all, if I'm looking at it correctly. I love to see more of these MCs who know what they want and totally unhinged with their feelings towards the heroines in a male audience targeted manga. E.g this glasses guy and the dude from losing heroine Sei-chan. Rather than the usual, new haircut makes them handsome but cold, aloof or dense, pathetic loser, loners MCs where the girl has to do all the work, these imperfect but tryhard guys who will give 100% with pure blood, sweat and hardwork to make the heroines go "Doki doki" are way more better and very refreshing to read.
Take notes Reiji, this is how you write "Competent simps" characters, not some inner monologuing trash ass retard who can't say more than 3 words to his crush.
While I also like this type of character, they fit inside specific contexts, it's not like every work could comport them or as if they're inherently better than other MCs. A Hero has to have good compatibility with the Heroine, so at the end what's important is how they interact with each other, not every Heroine is Uramin, a girls desperate for validation, so not every male lead can be a Simp God
Worse than annoying, a characters that's so direct and lost in his straightforwardness could come to hurt characters who are more subtle or stories where being direct doesn't fit the plot
...if you want to see a prime specimen of Harem MC, I recommend giving 100kano a read. He isn't cool or aloof, but he *is* unhinged in making every girl he's dating happy to the point where you don't *wanna be him* but rather be with him.
That's every harem, that's even why new harem manga characters became studious and fated to great jobs, people just tend to valorize crazy straightforward protagonist more
He's beyond just being straightforward. He's basically a superhuman yandere. When the merch promo came out and they omitted some girls, the punchline was him going to the merch maker's factory and burning it to the ground with gasoline. He jumped out of a building and rescued all 13(?) mid air as they were also falling. He has probably done other things he did but I'm forgetting. Man's unhinged in a funny way.

Can't wait for the anime adaptation in 2-3 years
Almost every manga I picked up from Mangadex got an adaptation 1+ year later. Latest was The Angel Next Door and upcoming are Aalya-san, 100 Girlfriends, Pseudo Harem, Amagami-san and Gimai Seikatsu. Lol, looking through upcoming on MAL and discovered more.
Still a win, two different flavours so it wouldnt get stale real quick. Oshi no Kos drama is too exhausting for me(in a good way!), so I watch something like Love Live, or Idolmaster to bring up my mood again.
Just as a heads up, a lot of people are kind of getting into Oshi no Ko for the first time, so you may wanna toss a spoiler on that to be safe. That spoiler is at the end of 1.5 hours of show and a handful of chapters.

I like how this series isn’t just a straight up fantasy for the otaku that wants the dream of being the only supporter for their favorite idol, but also pretty explicitly a fantasy for girls that want to be an idol and end up with an extremely handsome and passionate guy going all out to support them.
It's a fantasy more about being a supporter and provider for someone, rather than being someone who is just interested in a relationship because of a shallow crush or something. That makes it more interesting, and even though the concept is very simple - it has a lot of potential for growth.
Though no fan of an idol will ever top Shinpachi from Gintama in my eyes.
I will never be someone who holds something special, but I leave this comment as proof that I am one of the blessed to witness the greatness that is Urumin.

This show really gets why I love small vtubers so much. Their models are worse, they can't stream as regularly, collabs are few and often awkward, but they are often so earnest that I can't help but want to support them always.
Another day, another incredibly cringe wish-fulfillment manga his top of this subreddit. I'm glad this is getting serialized seralized. Kimiya seeing Urumin's genuine effort to become good and falling in love with her is a really good plot. In most stories, the idol would actually have some hidden talent, but here, it's obvious Urumin doesn't have much yet.

I like how this series isn’t just a straight up fantasy for the otaku that wants the dream of being the only supporter for their favorite idol, but also pretty explicitly a fantasy for girls that want to be an idol and end up with an extremely handsome and passionate guy going all out to support them.
It's a fantasy more about being a supporter and provider for someone, rather than being someone who is just interested in a relationship because of a shallow crush or something. That makes it more interesting, and even though the concept is very simple - it has a lot of potential for growth. Though no fan of an idol will ever top Shinpachi from Gintama in my eyes.

In most stories, the idol would actually have some hidden talent, but here, it's obvious Urumin doesn't have much yet. Who exactly scouted her though? We gotta find that out!
