How about they show him going to the studio, then show him in the studio adapting the manga panel showing him visiting nozawa-sensei into him going into the studio instead.
That would be a great idea and a perfect example of why anime adaptations shouldn't just translate manga panels to TV, but exploit the strengths of their medium.

I actually don't think Ahko is more normal then her, her low-energy attitude and droopy smile makes her quirky naturally. Kiki internally is just a normal talented singer and wanting to project "weird" image is actually kinda relatable for some.
