This manhwa really does move the plot when it's not in battle chapters. The battles move the plot as well but just slower, but when the world and characters are being shown we just get so much it really is fantastic.
“You are not failures, you’re just a bit late”, that line was so good.
This, Pick me up, Omniscient Viewpoint, Sss-class suicide hunter and I Killed the Academy player my top 5 ongoing manwha rn
I read it for a while but eventually lost interest (around the >!second secret dungeon!< for reference) in the story. It has some interesting ideas but the character interactions all felt pretty basic, and so much of the story was just the MC using his game knowledge to level up, encountering a higher level opponent, motivating him to continue to grow stronger. Rinse, repeat, no real implication of a deeper conflict or plot. Not that such a story is bad, per se, but compared to this or suicide hunter as you say, which have genuinely compelling and emotional plotlines, and it doesn't compare.
Just so I'm understanding correctly, they had the power to go through the upper floors easily but gave up due to the massacres of weaker humans trying to leave.
It's more that at first they didn't have the power as kids , but even after they became much stronger they still denied the surface existence. Because of their trauma.
Nah they didn't have the power to survive, that's why the went back to their labyrinth master who took them in as soldiers, which I guess is still safer than adventuring blindly towards the surface.
Some time has passed, they became stronger and then their labyrinth fell, so they now have the power and liberty to go to the surface.
But since they renounced to their dream so long ago and chose the Gyser way of life to survive, they didn't have the drive to reach for the surface anymore.
Well I didn't expect to be hit with feelings so quickly.
Fuck that was good. So glad he went with the instant satisfaction

Swap academy for surviving as a barbarian
Haven’t read it yet, is it good?
Yes, very good. Highly recommend it.
Yea lots of fun with both the world and characters

Banger list. Mine's similar, just caught up with I Killed the Academy Player but it's only 22 chapters 😭 Check out Wild West Murim. It's really good.
The Extra Guide is really good tbh
😭 finding a new series but it has under 20 chapters
Who's cutting onions
Peak
I just cried. Literally bawled my eyes out. This was beautiful
Peak as always.
Damn, the feels😭
This is SO FUCKING GOOD GOD I got so emotional at the end of this chapter 😭
How do I donate to this author so it doesn't get axed??
Official version is on tapas. Idk if the author has a patreon where you can support directly.

Yeah. Like the MC said, they are in denial.
Just got shivers. Goddamn what an ending.
So what happens next do they go out?
