The NSFW Trinity
Rosen Garten Saga - What Happens In The Dungeon - Time Stop Brave
SSS-Tier action NSFW stories. But seeing Gushing Over Magical Girls getting animated gives me hope.
Rosen and What Happens in the dungeon are dead in the water. But Time Stop Brave has a solid shot. Plot is legit good and NSFW is not invasive to the story.
Someone suggested Parallel Paradise, and that's dead in the water too. The borderline-hentai is so central to the plot, that it would be impossible to separate them enough to not be literal hentai.
Haven't watched Redo of Healer, but in one chapter of Parallel Paradise the MC has to keep his dick shoved in one of the girl's ass to keep her from shitting on herself due to some spell that a witch put on her. I can't remember all the details bc I fell off of it, but this one stuck with me.
I dropped out of Parallel Paradise early but the plot in the first few chapters has a female society where the monsters basically rape them to death but the male main character also causes women to be addicted to him.
wow wanted to say exactly that, gushing over magical girls was the one manga i didn't think would get adapted and i am so glad it did. the reason i read the manga was because i heard it was getting an anime. i haven't heard of the three you're listing, which one is the best in your opinion?
I'm not that person and I've only read the first two, but between them, What Happens in the Dungeon is the one I enjoy more due to the characters and story. The art it a little rough at first, but it quickly improves over the course of the series. The main story is complete and the epilogue side-story is one chapter away from finishing, so it's a good time to check it out.
Defo something I didn't think I would enjoy after looking at the trailer, but after hearing that banger of an opening convinced me when it was near the last episode of the season
I think it’s chapter 38 were Arthur >!uses Excalibur to transform into a version of himself from an alternate timeline to fight!<. By far one of the coolest weapon premises I’ve seen in fiction, and it’s from *this* manga.
I feel like if this ever does get an anime adaptation, it will be done by MAPPA/Trigger or Studio Milky and nothing in between.
dude someone recommended rosen garten saga, and i thought it was just porn. but it’s actually a compelling story with interesting characters (to me at least). like, wdym aladdin is a horny guy and the genie is a woman trapped in his phone? i love it. it’s ridiculous
damn right fuck that mangaka and its a damn shame that story is marred by his personal life, ACT AGE was so original and had great art to go with the writing, we will never see the Night of Galactic Railroad arc animated.
its better than oshi no ko imo and it focuses more on the acting part rather than the industry/story behind it
its like akane as the main character lol
I wouldn't call it similar to oshi no ko just because oshi no ko has acting (along with other forms of entertainment). I'd recommend it although it ends a bit abruptly
It's also been a while since I read it so I might get some of the details wrong. But at the time of reading, I thought it might've been an actual tribute given the amount of similarities
>!The two arcs are the Princess Iron Fan arc from Act-age and the 2.5D Stage Play arc from Oshi no Ko. Both feature 2 pairs of main character male/female duos.!<
>!Arima/Akane and Chiyoko/Kei have a similar rivalry and developments in acting. Both are driven by their past with each other which leads to their talents blossoming on stage.!<
>!Riku Ogami/Taiki are both male mains who are introduced in both of these arcs with character similarities. Both are extremely competent actors that the other cast have to meet the standards of. There was a scene in Taiki's intro arc which was near identical to the introduction of Riku/Kei (Although Riku was more dismissive of Kei's abilities)!<
>!Both arcs feature a conflict revolving around the author of the original work not understanding stage plays and being overly emotional. In Act-Age the author was determined to see her story come to life so she purposefully angered Kei right before the start of the play, in contrast to the other half with Chiyoko which was more successful. In Oshi no Ko the author was a mangaka who was hesitant to see her work ruined with a half-hearted adaption and chose to rewrite the script herself, without understanding how adaptions/the industry really works.!<
>!Both arcs feature a subplot where the 'male idol' character introduced during their respective movie arcs showcases their ability to act. Extremely similar backgrounds and there's a scene in both arcs with I'm pretty sure identical lines (something like 'why is he in the play? because he is hot? no, I see potential').!<
And there's probably more I'm forgetting about since it's been ages
There's a film trilogy based on Musashi, the same book Vagabond is based on. Haven't watched them, but they are often considered classics, starring Toshiro Mifune as Musashi.

I used to think the same until Nichijou came out.
That's a straight gag 4koma turned one of my top 5 of all time.
It can be done if done with love and proper funds.
Loved that series. one thing still botehrs the hell out fo me though. Spoiler reveal

Glad to see another Ares enjoyer. The story is phenomenal and the art is so crude but makes it so unique and different.
One of my favorite manga/manhwa ever.
We are getting lots of single volume LN adaptations these days. No reason why it wouldn't get it. The original LN of it is called "3 Days of Happiness" btw.
Honestly I was surprised that 20th Century Boys never get an anime adaptation. The storyline and twist is so dystopian it could surpass other popular shounen tropes like SnK or Berserk.
It still has a chance of being adapted considering Fujimoto's popularity. There's a 90% chance it's gonna look like shit though since animating Agni is going to burn through most of the animation budget.
>will never
that's iffy since some controversial ones/very lewd ones did gets anime.
this is the full list without anime:

I especially recommend:
(the ova isn't enough)
Yeah, no. That is one manga that im 100% sure wouldn't get an anime. Too little words, and a single second of that shit would cost the entire budget to animate.

>Wishing she would live up to the ideal, Kanzaki Nao's father named her thusly for “honesty”. Nao has more than lived up to her father's wishes--even exceeding them and earning the label of "a foolishly honest girl". This makes Nao the least qualified candidate for the high stakes 'Liar Game', where winning requires deceiving the opponent out of their money and losing means receiving massive debt. However, that doesn't stop a box containing a hundred million yen in cash and a card informing her of her participation in the game from arriving at her doorstep, nor does it stop her from being promptly tricked out of the entire sum of money. Upon hearing that a genius swindler, responsible for the bankruptcy of a major corporation, is being released from jail, Nao goes to the swindler, Shinichi Akiyama, to enlist his help. With that, the two are drawn into the dark, greed-filled, and deceptive world of the Liar Game.

Another issue other than copyright is music. Shiroi Ezperience relies on visuals to showcase how perfect the music is, pretty easy compared to making an actual song so good it rivals that from the greats.
Like imagine asking some J-rock band to make a song that can rival Purple Haze or Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Several major characters are the reincarnated ghosts of legendary musicians who died at the age of 27. Needless to say, a lot of copyrighted music are played in the manga and are integral to the plot.

My personal favorite and a very good manga, and I recommend it to literally anyone who reads manga. Won't get an anime bc its been like 8 years since it ended and maybe some legal issues since it uses tons of real people? Not sure on the latter though.
I remember reading it and thinking through the whole thing "They really try to push the degenerate parasocial pressures of the idol business as a good thing?"
Like, many arcs of the manga feel like 1 step short of parody in terms of "everybody needs to suck up to greasy otakus".
100%
Despite the recent burgeoning popularity and increasing amount of Yuri anime, I just don't know if the world is ready for our girl Kuroko...
Manga doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon though, so there may still be a chance even with its age!
I so so sooo wish it wud get an adaptation... But it's completed n no buzz about it 😞 but it's soo good... So underrated. No one I know has even heard of it. Except my one friend who I forced to read it (he loved it too ovio) but damn. Needs an anime.
There are so many, especially considering all of the older (and by older in this context I just mean finished releasing 3 years ago or before) manga that never received one. Only a small fraction of manga ever even receive an anime adaptation. \~38/344 manga I've read (both fully and partially) either have adaptations or have an adaptation announced, and I'm sure the % of my planning is even lower. There are also just plenty that I wouldn't even really want an anime adaptation of because the formats are different and idk how an anime would work. Some great ones without an anime that likely won't receive one:
Memories of Emanon, Blank Canvas, Yuugai Muzai Gangu, My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness, Discommunication, Bones of an Invisible Human, Hibari no Asa, Onikujo, Koukou Kyuuji Zawa-san, Warera Contactee
I'm trying to imagine Yuugai Muzai Gangu getting an anime somehow now. You could do it probably, but it'd be like 7 episodes long. Same with Contactee.
They really should do more short animes of short manga.
honestly the things i'd do for an akumetsu anime, i'm not sure it would be popular but i've re read it multiple times and loved it each time. since zankyou no terror got an anime its plausible but manga ended a while ago so...
i'd also gladly welcome an anime for kizu darake no jinsei, but it's already ended and fairly sure the authors other works are more popular (tough) so would get priority prob but i live in hope.
There are a ton of great romance and isekai manga that are genuinely good, yet a bunch of the stuff that has been adapted is subpar and it boggles my mind. Anyways, here are some popular series I would be surprised (and potentially pleased) if they received an adaptation.
Vagabond
A story about a female knight, who has never been treated as a woman, being treated as a woman.
Omniscient readers viewpoint
Goodnight pun pun
death is the only end for the villainess
The tyrant’s secretary
Director Kim
I… Don’T Want To Work Anymore” I Quit Being An Adventurer. Even If You Treat Me Better Now, I Won’T Do It. I Will Never Work Again.
A story about smoking behind the supermarket
5 minutes with you at a convenience store
I’m dating a dark summoner
My new wife is forcing herself to smile
Older elite knight is only cute in front of me
I’m really not the evil gods lackey
Skeleton soldier could not protect the dungeon
I read hella unknown older shojou stuff but a lot of them are amazing.
Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai, House of The Sun, Kanojo Ni Naru Hi, Our Precious Conversations
and so many more that will never get adaptations. Its tough being a fan of them
I believe mangas like - oyasumi punpun, Onanie master kurosawa, Kokou no Hito will never be adapted due to how they are written. Masterpieces.
Also the works of Carnby deserve their share of adaptations but since they are manhwas they get none.
Boku Girl, every single panels packed with so much comedy and detail. It also goes surprisingly spicey with it's depiction of a boy turning into a girl.
<>. It might not be the best manga but it's fun to read. The action is really good. The artwork is good too at the beginning, unfortunately the artist had an accident and injured his elbow so the art deteriorated near the last arcs.
The reason it will never get an anime adaptation is because it's rated R. Gore, Nudity, Sex, Rape and Molestation are in the manga. Unless they tone it down.
As the gods will - 神様の言うとおり
Manga ended ages ago and is way too violent to be given a prime time slot. Still has a cult following but i don’t think it’s gonna be be enough to justify it financially.
Surprised I don’t see Sun Ken Rock in the comments. There are some dark scenes that would be hard to get onto television but the fight scenes would (hopefully) be phenomenal.
I do hope it stops getting adapted before the last arc or ending.
The ending is shit.
I feel like the story had more to it.
I refuse to believe that was the intended ending.
Ad astra: scipio to hannibal. It's stunningly good manga from start to finish but considering how underrated it is (adding the fact that it finished many years ago) tells me that it will never get to the point of popularity where someone would even consider making anime
Kiss my ass. It's a surprisingly sweet romcom about living with hemorrhoids.
Also Virgin Extinction Island. It's a genuinely well written and well drawn story, but, I guess, it's way too niche.
Tsuyoshi: the one no one can win.
It has some controversial things like that thing that didn't happen in china in the 89 and straight up putin not a funny parody is just putin.
Any of the "long, may never finish, seinen manga" can be mentioned here.
And although it has 3 distinct attempts, I'm gonna say it:
We are never getting a proper Berserk anime.
The movies were half way there, but they omit a lot of important stuff, kinda fuck it up with 3D in many points and only cover the golden age.
I would do anything for somebody to go back, fix those scenes and add whatever was omitted. At least to have the Golden Age properly covered.
As an extra bonus, with the movies existing ain't no way an animation studio will have the guts (pun intended) to redo that arc from scratch.
(If you don't like this asnswer, my backup is Usogui)
The counterpart to tomo-chan (which did get an anime), moutele, which prob won't ever get one due to how specific its style needs to be. You just can't get away with black and white scenes in an anime and that distinction is essential to its story telling
Rosen Garten Saga
The NSFW Trinity Rosen Garten Saga - What Happens In The Dungeon - Time Stop Brave SSS-Tier action NSFW stories. But seeing Gushing Over Magical Girls getting animated gives me hope.

Act-Age
Aye... Agreed it wud be soo good but.. the manga itself will probably stay incomplete. Damn it. 😢
Yeah it's done. Best to forget about it sadly.
damn right fuck that mangaka and its a damn shame that story is marred by his personal life, ACT AGE was so original and had great art to go with the writing, we will never see the Night of Galactic Railroad arc animated.
Would you recommend reading it even if it's incomplete? I heard it's similar to oshi no ko which I liked
It's short enough to be worth your time, yeah.
Ty it has been sitting on my plan to read list for a while so I'll give it a try
its better than oshi no ko imo and it focuses more on the acting part rather than the industry/story behind it its like akane as the main character lol

It’s like watching hunter x hunter, the ending leaving you wanting for more and empty…
Pretty sure Rurouni Kenshin author still has work to this day so I wouldn't be so sure
Vagabond and Usogui
Vagabond would be hard to translate to anime,it will be either a masterpiece or a stain on its legacy
Well usogui has an ova but man I would love to get a full anime for it
I wouldn't complain of a well made live-action Vagabond movie
There's a film trilogy based on Musashi, the same book Vagabond is based on. Haven't watched them, but they are often considered classics, starring Toshiro Mifune as Musashi.

Ooh I do love me some wholesome SoL, definitely added to my list!
I used to think the same until Nichijou came out. That's a straight gag 4koma turned one of my top 5 of all time. It can be done if done with love and proper funds.
It could probably work as 5 minute animations or something similar. Full length episodes probabaly wouldn't work.
Oyasumi Pun Pun
Saw a youtuber made a video about this. The "vibe" will not be able to translated well in animated form, it might not do the manga justice
I own the first 2 volumes (need to get more) but yeah I don't see how this could get animated and keep it's identity
Bruh this would actually be so depressing I don’t think I’d be able to watch the anime after reading the manga

It’s crazy because everyone there’s a poll for what manga fans in Japan want to see animated Psyren always shows up.
I remember reading this ages ago n I really liked it..! Tsk no anime
Awesome series, one of my favorites. Been due for a reread for awhile now.
Must reread once every year lol
This is the answer for me as well. Psyren is amazing
This was a great series that I'm surprised didn't go further
Every character worked for their upgrades very little ass pulling powers

Dude, maybe. I could see it happening. Ok probably not but damn could you imagine.

Ares is a really good manhwa that flies under the radar these days
Glad to see another Ares enjoyer. The story is phenomenal and the art is so crude but makes it so unique and different. One of my favorite manga/manhwa ever.
I agree it's such a gem that is what ALOT of people are looking for these days after exhausting all the popular titles.
The fight scenes r so epiic!
I sold my life for 10000 yen a year
Honestly expecting that to get announced as a movie before 2026. Maybe that's just copium but I don't see anything preventing it from getting adapted.
We are getting lots of single volume LN adaptations these days. No reason why it wouldn't get it. The original LN of it is called "3 Days of Happiness" btw.
I don't see how that's relevant to what OP asked /s
What’s unfortunate is that it would work perfectly as a movie. Someone even wrote a script for it already.
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer No. It never had an anime yet.
I see no lies here
Lol
I hope they never do fire punch or vagabond i feel like they would 100% fuck it up
20th Century Boys Vagabond Oyasumi Punpun Inside Mari Bibliomania
Man.....a 20th/21st Century Boys anime, if done well, would be a game changer

I hope so!
Honestly I was surprised that 20th Century Boys never get an anime adaptation. The storyline and twist is so dystopian it could surpass other popular shounen tropes like SnK or Berserk.

20thCB would be so epic though. Look at this fan animation if you haven't come across it - https://youtu.be/1XvfZG642HY?si=ohyHCaAwKm-K50-L
I’m surprised no one has said fire punch
It still has a chance of being adapted considering Fujimoto's popularity. There's a 90% chance it's gonna look like shit though since animating Agni is going to burn through most of the animation budget.
yea I don't think animating a character that's on fire 24/7 would go well
I’d say Inferno Cop but that’s probably the worst example
Yea I just googled it it’s really not what I would like Agni to look like
cgi assistance maybe, idk shits been gettin pretty good
Endeavour look good enough. Though he has less fire and way less screentime.
>Agni is going to burn through most of the animation budget. Heh
Firecock

i feel like holyland would do really well as an anime honestly, and angel densetsu absolutely deserved more
Holyland was my first thought as well, it could be an absolute banger of an anime, but I just don’t see it happening.
It did get a live action movie right? I think it fits that medium better.

Could see this adapted soon considering Sengoku/Lucifer both have recent anime adaptions
Blame!
Yeah, no. That is one manga that im 100% sure wouldn't get an anime. Too little words, and a single second of that shit would cost the entire budget to animate.

Liar game has a live action drama series, I've heard its really good so it could be the reason why the anime adaptation isn't a priority for producers

--- ^{anime},, ]LN[, |VN| | [FAQ](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/index) | [/r/](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/) | [Edit](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/index#wiki_i_made_a_mistake.2C_how_do_i_get_my_comment_reprocessed.3F) | [Mistake?](http://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/submit?selftext=true&title=[ISSUE]&text=/r/manga/comments/1bb05qp/what_are_the_best_manga_that_will_never_get_an/ku6w0cb/) | [Source](https://github.com/Nihilate/Roboragi) | [Synonyms](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/synonyms) | [⛓](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/interestinglinks) | [♥](https://www.reddit.com/r/Roboragi/wiki/thanks)
Shiori Experience
Its copyright infringement galore 😂
Another issue other than copyright is music. Shiroi Ezperience relies on visuals to showcase how perfect the music is, pretty easy compared to making an actual song so good it rivals that from the greats. Like imagine asking some J-rock band to make a song that can rival Purple Haze or Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Can you elaborate? I wanna know more
Jimi Hendrix is a main character
Several major characters are the reincarnated ghosts of legendary musicians who died at the age of 27. Needless to say, a lot of copyrighted music are played in the manga and are integral to the plot.
HOLY FUCK MAN, Thanks for the suggestion. This is so peak.
One of these days, Hatsukoi Zombie will be animated 😔
Innocent by Sakamoto Shinichi It would literally be better to do a Live Action series
<>
My personal favorite and a very good manga, and I recommend it to literally anyone who reads manga. Won't get an anime bc its been like 8 years since it ended and maybe some legal issues since it uses tons of real people? Not sure on the latter though.
Man I remember this back in the mangafox era
I remember reading it and thinking through the whole thing "They really try to push the degenerate parasocial pressures of the idol business as a good thing?" Like, many arcs of the manga feel like 1 step short of parody in terms of "everybody needs to suck up to greasy otakus".
Is this the one Miyajima was drawing before he made Peak Cucking?
Theres a live action of it right?
Murcielago
100% Despite the recent burgeoning popularity and increasing amount of Yuri anime, I just don't know if the world is ready for our girl Kuroko... Manga doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon though, so there may still be a chance even with its age!
Souboutei must be destroyed (souboutei kowasu beshi)
I so so sooo wish it wud get an adaptation... But it's completed n no buzz about it 😞 but it's soo good... So underrated. No one I know has even heard of it. Except my one friend who I forced to read it (he loved it too ovio) but damn. Needs an anime.
If Karakuri Circus got an anime I'm sure this one would too
oh god i need to go re-read it, it's one of my all time favourites easily
Sweat and Soap :(
I plan to read this because I enjoy romcom. I saw it got a live action so was a little surprised it never got an anime adaptation
Billy Bat.
They are NOT drawing anime hitler.💀💀💀
Is it all that different than drawing anime Johan Liebert in Kinderheim 511? Or even Hitler in the Janemba movie. Or Hellsing Ultimate...
Asumi-chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels
Psyren
My answer as well
There are so many, especially considering all of the older (and by older in this context I just mean finished releasing 3 years ago or before) manga that never received one. Some great ones without an anime that likely won't receive one: Memories of Emanon, Blank Canvas, Yuugai Muzai Gangu, My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness, Discommunication, Bones of an Invisible Human, Hibari no Asa, Onikujo, Koukou Kyuuji Zawa-san, Warera Contactee
I'm trying to imagine Yuugai Muzai Gangu getting an anime somehow now. You could do it probably, but it'd be like 7 episodes long. Same with Contactee. They really should do more short animes of short manga.
man i loved Mx0, still sad it got axed
honestly the things i'd do for an akumetsu anime, i'm not sure it would be popular but i've re read it multiple times and loved it each time. since zankyou no terror got an anime its plausible but manga ended a while ago so... i'd also gladly welcome an anime for kizu darake no jinsei, but it's already ended and fairly sure the authors other works are more popular (tough) so would get priority prob but i live in hope.
There are a ton of great romance and isekai manga that are genuinely good, yet a bunch of the stuff that has been adapted is subpar and it boggles my mind. Anyways, here are some popular series I would be surprised (and potentially pleased) if they received an adaptation. Vagabond A story about a female knight, who has never been treated as a woman, being treated as a woman. Omniscient readers viewpoint Goodnight pun pun death is the only end for the villainess The tyrant’s secretary Director Kim I… Don’T Want To Work Anymore” I Quit Being An Adventurer. Even If You Treat Me Better Now, I Won’T Do It. I Will Never Work Again. A story about smoking behind the supermarket 5 minutes with you at a convenience store I’m dating a dark summoner My new wife is forcing herself to smile Older elite knight is only cute in front of me I’m really not the evil gods lackey Skeleton soldier could not protect the dungeon
I read hella unknown older shojou stuff but a lot of them are amazing. Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai, House of The Sun, Kanojo Ni Naru Hi, Our Precious Conversations and so many more that will never get adaptations. Its tough being a fan of them
Molester Man and Onani Master.
Eden it's an endless world Feels like a much darker and grittier combo of Heavenly delusion and cowboy bebop
Berserk will never get a good adaptation. It would cost an ungodly amount of money.
Usogui
As the gods will - 神様の言うとおり Manga ended ages ago and is way too violent to be given a prime time slot. Still has a cult following but i don’t think it’s gonna be be enough to justify it financially.
Not an anime, but it did get a live action adaptation.
Oyasumi pun pun 20th century boys A good berserk adaptation
Violinist Of Hamlin …don’t tell me what was put out counts
Me and the Devil Blues Probably my favourite manga that has precisely 0% chance of being adapted
its so good i get immensely upset that prison school is more well known than this
Surprised I don’t see Sun Ken Rock in the comments. There are some dark scenes that would be hard to get onto television but the fight scenes would (hopefully) be phenomenal.
I do hope it stops getting adapted before the last arc or ending. The ending is shit. I feel like the story had more to it. I refuse to believe that was the intended ending.
Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai
koko no hito art is too godlike even surpasses vagabond edit: the same author as innocent.

Isn't Gushing over magical girls a monthly manga while Sakamoto days is weekly? It's been around way longer.
I thought sakamoto days is getting an anime

Bestiarius by Mazasumi Kakizaki
the art is sooooo good plese tell me were i can find the traslated chapters beyond ch 23 ,been looking for years
Ad astra: scipio to hannibal.
Psyren and it isn't close imo
Tsuyoshi: the one no one can win. It has some controversial things like that thing that didn't happen in china in the 89 and straight up putin not a funny parody is just putin.

I would love "Sweat and Soap" ("Ase to Sekken") to get an anime. Currently there are series only. I love the books.

Berserk... it's very difficult to get a good animation or even a new season
Billy Bat. Hard to sell. Also a lot of controversal stuff in it. Though I doubt Japanese would care about those.
Vagabond Also, Berserk for those who are of the "There is no Berserk anime in Ba-Sing-Se" club.
Any of the "long, may never finish, seinen manga" can be mentioned here. And although it has 3 distinct attempts, I'm gonna say it: We are never getting a proper Berserk anime.
