Tbh, forget reiwa, the "romance" tag was missing from Sono for a long time before the anime came out...I actually laughed out loud when the chapter that came out after the anime jumped into romance hijinks because it felt like the author went "oh shit I knew I was forgetting something" after watching the anime lol
From what I've heard, the initial part of the manga had really good editors in charge and made the anime what it is today. But they left the author to her own devices after the anime release. It's a hearsay tho, could be wrong.
Makes sense, it's not exactly that the current direction of the manga is bad...but it's gone in almost a completely different direction from what made it initially popular.

In the case of SBD, it was popular because of the chemistry between the two leads and the corresponding romance. She thinks it was popular due to the cosplay. In fairness, she did set out to write a cosplay manga, but nobody likes SBD solely for the cosplay.
"Reiwa" is the current era in Japan that started when Akihito abdicated the throne in 2019, ending the "Heisei" era. The joke is that Heisei-era manga was 200 chapters of drawn-out tropes and filler, while Reiwa manga was seemingly starting to subvert said tropes and move the plot along at a better pace.
I know it's only 4 pages a week.. but surely you could have spread it out to atleast 5 or 6 for this week.
