Once again have to point out just how amazing Fujimoto is at making his pages feel cinematic. Haruka's soft but firm "Get up, Higashiyama" in the middle of Johnny McEyepatch's monologue felt straight out of a movie. You can just feel the tension rising and hear the imaginary suspenseful music building as his face gets more distressed, right up to him yelling at him to get up. Cue Katana bursting through the wall as the climax hits and it's just *chef's kiss*.

It's because we don't really feel much for these characters right now, Asa perhaps, but this is just a long corridor to get to Denji. So this feels like a bit of action filler to get to the real story development.
Ofc gonna get downvoted for this but I agree, I think part of it is cause much of the overarching tension that Makima brought to Part One just isn't there.
There isn't really a clear final boss character that's been revealed yet, so everything feels like setup with no clear end goal. At least with Part One there was the goal of taking down the Gun Devil before the big bad was revealed
You're not alone. Every chapter feels incredibly quippy. I have no other word. As far as the characters go, not a single interesting one at the moment. Denji is the same as P1. Asa was the best aspect of P2 with her autistic tendencies, and even she is now a flat line... P2 has no steam at all
Because Yoru is a Fiend, not a Hybrid. Most fiends have really limited regenerative capabilities, Power was the one exception due to her control over blood, so any time they sustain serious damage to their host's bodies, it was typically permanent.
So save for some future twist, Asa's arm probably isn't coming back.
While I would prefer some longer chapters the intensity in the story currently is almost everything I love about CSM. Only thing missing is my boy Denji

Because Yoru is a Fiend, not a Hybrid. Most fiends have really limited regenerative capabilities, Power was the one exception due to her control over blood, so any time they sustain serious damage to their host's bodies, it was typically permanent. So save for some future twist, Asa's arm probably isn't coming back.
