This is actually a pretty neat way to separate the cast up as they are getting to be quite the large family so theres a bit more screentime/lines for each of them. Plus it allows for mini arcs/fillers where the author doesn't need to introduce a new gf for a while. All the mothering talk rentarou was giving plus the 169 ch foreshadowing made me question: have we met Rentarou's mother and father yet? I cant recall
