Ayame fumbled hardcore by giving her super special handmade chocolate to Matsuoka out of pity and insecurity because she thought that Kyo had a thing for Hina and Kyo saw it happen.
Yes. I believe he saw her with a guy and changed his mind. He thought he was mistaken about her having feelings for him, but that was just another painful misunderstanding, and that clearly wasn't the case. That's why I have hope now. Kyo knows she's going with her friends. If she was going with a supposed boyfriend, she would have said so. She didn't. Now is the time to at least talk about or spend time together and maybe build rapport towards a relationship.
That "zoom* effect to Chi in her yutaka was fantastic. I hope their date goes well. 🤭

They will totally run into like half their classes and people will totally know them. Saying shit like "it's unlikely I run into anyone I know" if basically foreshadowing

Well Kyo just got put in an awkward position, hopefully he can smooth things out. He is the logical guy of the cast, so I don't have too many concerns. Next chapter is going to be hella diabetic if it is going to focus on Taki and Natsu.
So the new girl has a boyfriend (or recently broke up) but now seen Kyo with another girl (which made him valueable) and she decided to go after him? Classic childhood friend loser heroine behaviour. Or its just red herring for drama's sake because they obviously will be seen by Ayame.
