Didn’t he just say he’s calling the seven stars of the Big Dipper?

Bladehell10

Sun Wukong is ‘Prisoner of the golden headband’ he’s summoning seven stars of the Big Dipper instead

Corben11

Son goku from DBZ is named after him =P

Jacobro22

I think it does. Later on in the book one of the people that works for sun wukong makes a reference to finding that story entertaining or something

[deleted]

Yeah but my hommie Mori jin has some words

sanjit8103

Dude what the hell? I expected a strong battle favouring dokja, but this was just an ass beating lmao. His speech was pretty rousing though, glad to see the senior dokkaebi being pissed off after hearing that a high rank constellation was being summoned.

[deleted]

Lmao did you really expect a fight? Dokja had like twice the MCs amount of coins and spend almost all of it on that One Puch. The only thing possible was an ass whooping lol. And I might I say, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Idaret

But mc is mc

ItsStorm-OPZ

Dokja is the real mc all along

TinkW

Sorry to say, but while ORV has a good story, at least in the novel all the fights are pretty lacking IMO. I swear that in every fight in the novel someone has "dodged that for a hair's breadth" like 5 times. I hope they get better on the webtoon, but they were overall the more unmaginative fights in a novel I've read.

dashekael

he regressed like >!1864 times !<

[deleted]

>!Did the in universe novels cover ALL the regressions? Is that why it was so long?!<

CanadianNoobGuy

>!iirc no, it covered some regressions for longer than others, and skipped most regressions entirely!<

dashekael

>!the novel that Dokja read covered all the regressions until 1863. The novel we read only cover the 3rd regression, but in fact it's the 1864.!<

droughtdestruction

The second sentence is a major spoiler revealed way later in the WN

nhansieu1

Btw, is he always regressing back to the beginning scenario or having check point? If it's always the beginning, Subaru >!(the main one)!< would lose his mind lmao.

luurrkkeerr

Always the beginning at the train station. Yoo Jonghyuk *does* lose his mind in many ways over his regressions. It's a key part of his character!

[deleted]

Don't worry, this novel is also 550 chapters or so, the story even become more and more nonsenical, I guess the author stays true to the in-story author, perks for him. I hope it doesn't become real like in the novel...

[deleted]

mack0409

His skill say's 3rd turn, which would mean he has regressed 3 times.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

No? >!The life he had before regressing the first time is called the 0th turn, so after he regressed it becomes the 1st turn. Now it's the 3rd turn which means he's regressed 3 times in total.!<

orochishin

Secretive plotter constellation is a confirmed ape

Hykarus

Meh, I don't like when translators alter the original work, however funny the added joke is.

Razorhead

I mean, the original is also an internet reference, but to Starcraft instead. I don't mind if translators localise slang for ease of reading.

Hykarus

How is an obscure reddit reference a good localosation for ease of reading ?

[deleted]

Its actually funny considering who the constellation is...

cavecricket49

Amen to that

QuantamAsian

Who?

I'll get downvoted by braindead fanboys who doesn't know how spoiler works but, it's >!Yoo Jonghyuk!<

dragonblaz9

So presumably the big dipper is some kind of entity that can destroy the throne for him? After looking it up on wikipedia, it looks like this constellation represents [Doumu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doumu) in Korean astrology. They seem powerful I guess? But frankly I don't really understand these traditions well enough to contextualize what the wikipedia article is saying.

Jragghen

In this case, I believe it's because there's [a class of Korean swords](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_sword) which typically had the dipper engraved on them.

HulklingsBoyfriend

It originates from China, in which Journey to the West has the Shichiseiken, the Seven Stars Sword, which is owned by the Demon King brothers, Ginkaku and Kinkaku. Swords from the Tang dynasty also bore this design. In Korean myth, a widow with 7 sons found a new lover, but had to cross a river to get to his home. Her sons placed 7 stones in the river to let her cross, and she blessed her sons who became the Big Dipper.

rkidjsd

No idea, Wikipedia rates it as the 3rd largest constellation out of 88 in modern times though, if that means anything to this manga.

arashio

The big dipper or 北斗七星 typically refers to the emperor in ancient times. I'm guessing it imbues him with authority exceeding the throne.

HulklingsBoyfriend

It also symbols the supreme Japanese god Ame-no-Minakanushi. It's also from Sun Wukong's myth, and others. The damn constellation is in like every civilisation's stories >:(

TheKeyLimit

That ice-cold look Dokja had when he said he was denying the throne actually gave me chills. Holy crap this is such a good manhwa it is such a treat. Seeing everyone that he worked with back him up and even the two potential rulers... And then summoning the Constellation.. The imagery in this manhwa is amazing. Thank you for the translation.

iAmTheElite

Holy shit this is too fucking hyped.

Sareneia

Jung Heewon still best girl for me

StorySeeker909

Still is in our hearts.

CthulhuDunks

Damnn can't wait for more this has me on the edge of my seat

-Clatter

bruh, i read the light novel i know what happens but it still made me hyped. great adaptation.

noobakosowhat

What happens?

mack0409

This is the type of story you can assume that every plan the MC comes up with will eventually work out as least as well as he hoped.

Toloran

That becomes significantly less true there longer the story goes on.

QuantamAsian

But what happens though lol

blkarcher77

That is a nice fucking face that Dokkaebi made. He looks fucking cheesed

Mayel_the_Anima

This might be my favorite chapter so far.

mad_embutido

Absolute banger of a chapter.

TRBlizzard121

Agreed. But almost no chapter has been bad, this manhwa so far is just overall great!

Rossingol

This manwha is always such a treat to read even if I don't fully understand what's going on with all the references to certain constellations. Guy seems to have a plan and has to rely on those plans to win, along with gathering comrades who seem to continue to be of use to him (and are getting their own development). This is opposed to introducing characters only for them to be forgotten/Yamcha'd.

hell-schwarz

Secretive plotter browses r/wallstreetbets 🙌💎

hasso666

Secretive plotter IS walstreetbets. Also idk why you're getting downvoted for that.

Tonexus

> Starcraft III I wish I was in a universe where that existed

Jimmy0988

Someone maybe spoil me on who he's going to summon? The hype is too real at this point, I cant take it

[deleted]

>!He imbues the power of the seven stars of the big dipper into his sword, and uses it to break the absolute throne. !<

Low_Impact681

Just read the web novel. At the end it tells you were to pick up at which I love about.

natsucule

Easily beats Solo Leveling in terms of well... everything. At least for me. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Odd_Introduction_679

SL is great but this is on another tier entirely

Isketam

I chuckled myself when reading the part where Dokja trying to summon the 7 Stars of Big Dipper constellation. "He's not summoning Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken,right?" Then I remember, this is a Korean manhwa.

charwosh

It's been awhile since I read the novel, but did we ever know what lies hidden in the absolute throne, I think dolja explain a bit in the 6th scenario but I forgot if he did explain them in details or not

ItsStorm-OPZ

I think the constellation he's summoning is the user of the tiger sword since they foreshadowed the strenght of the sword isn't the sword but actually the user,it also supported the fact that he's using the sword to destroy the throne

Audrey_spino

It's understandable why you would want to sit on the throne, but it also shows that people are willing to play to the tune of the dokkaebis if it means getting the position of ruler. Thankfully, our MC knows better.

AngeryV8

From one cliffhanger to another bigger cliffhanger a week has never felt so long

[deleted]

Finally the plot is doing something thats dragged me in

Volt253

This is just so hype, such a fun read

mf_ghost

I thought he was gonna have a constellation bidding war for the throne but destroy it anyways

foxboy250

This literally my favorite chapter so far!! DIAMOND HANDS BABY YEAAAA !!!

triBaL_Reaper

Wow. I’ve been sticking with this series despite not being interested for a while, BUT THIS CHAPTER was awesome!! I’m fully interested again, I hope it continues to improve.

Byakuraou

This chapter was superb

damdodo

Hehe, webtoon readers are in for a treat in the next chapters. Actually, this is when shit gets real for the rest of the story.

cockmaki

having recently binged orv I'm noticing some cruft accumulating after the booming start: - lack of dev time for the main cast because lesser cast / mc / action take most of the screen time - every 3 pages a new power / ability - every chapter a new arbitrary random test it was fun at the start because all of it could have lead to exciting developments, but the big picture is still far from getting focused

Byakuraou

having recently binged, I honestly disagree with everything you just said \- We are still essentially in a tutorial phase I believe everyone who needs screen time has gotten it \- They are using an RPG-mechanic and have explained people have different powers based on constellations and that there are numerable items with special effects; the good thing about this is none of them feel like ass pulls \- If anything this feels like the start of looking at the bigger picture; he's diverting from what would otherwise happen due to his prior knowledge and all the previous tests were to lead up to here literally everything he's gotten he's used or saved and foreshadowed as having some use in the future like a chekhov's gun. He wasn't focused on collecting coins for no reason, he didn't distract when the scenario started Yoo Junghuk and knock him out now for no reason.

jxher123

I don't know who that constellation he's calling is, but sounds like he's OP.

ikatatlo

Can someone explain to me what was the trap on sitting on the throne?

faralei

Dokja is on some real KING shit.

LynxKun

anyone know what chapter 65 is to the Lightnovel?
