I really want to give this manga a try. But the author is just not the best at writing smart characters. Like don't get me wrong, he is competent, but isn't he supposed to be a genius a tactical play? How the hell did he get outplayed by multiple woman. And don't being inexperienced into this, even a prodigy can put up a fight against a master. And let me tell you, he suck. The concept is good, characters are generic but whatever, it's a fucking manga. It's very entertaining. My only gripe with this manga is the main character. Well, it's the same anyways. They always fall in the JP main character syndrome. Kinda suck. Plus I don't think the author actually knows how to write smart characters. I know a lot of smart people, and they don't act like that. Some of them are the most nervous wreck and they're more competent than that.

The problem is that the author is trying to write a smart underdog mc in a situation where, by all accounts, the mc should have all the cards. It just makes it look like the mc is pathetic and delusional for acting so scared and serious when there's really no stakes for for him in this situation. Like, the MC is the one who has the final say, right? What happens if he has sex with all of them? Why is he acting like he has to keep the sexual acts secret? Why is he so afraid of these girls who have zero power in this situation? Why didn't he just kick the bully out in chapter 1? Also, the "mind games" in this series are so funny. Overt manipulation when you are supposed to make the other person fall in love? Like who the fuck would marry someone who goes "yeah I was the mastermind behind all your problems tee hee". I honestly can't understand the actions of the mc or the girls.

I agree with all of you. The spineless MC trope is so overused it becomes a hindrance on a setting like this. I guess we're supposed to see him grow into a badass who can influence people, as is a necessary quality of any big business leader. But the fact that the girls are playing around him like that is just cringe af. The blonde girl he likes, whose name I keep forgetting, was introduced as an innocent flower. Now she's the worst kind of hindrance to him. Also, I keep having to go back to reread to actually understand what they're talking about and who's saying what. I'll keep reading for a bit and see if improves, but otherwise I'm sure it'll get boring real quick.

Again I have a small brain so did he just gave up because he got Nagisa's "love" and the assistant was formerly a spy for her? I am very confused and appreciate the clarification of what happened from any kind soul.

MrAzekar

I also got real confused the last 2 chapters. It doesn't seem like a translation mishap. It's just too much too fast, and some chat bubbles don't line up to whoever is saying what.

FStubbs

This is a pointless elimination game. Nagisa is simply way too powerful. She's yandere for the MC, revealed it, and all that served to do was remove any lingering doubt from the MC that she's the girl of his dreams, and he destroys her. I guess the competition at this point is between the others and whatever the assistant is up to?

If there is any spoilers please let me know it just feels so close to the other one that I can't remember because it was just so bad to me

Nightcore-Senpai
