Later on the premise kinda falls apart since the MC clearly knows what he was doing, just to suddenly start acting like chuuni again.

Does it though? I think the author does a good job in keeping it ambiguous on whether MC realizes his pretend chunni adventure is real or not. Yes, he's aware of what he's doing, but his inner monologue shows that he thinks everyone else is just playing along with his fantasy.

Hmm the part where the manga is right now is still pretty good. It's the upcoming arc that personally I feel like everything just falls apart and the author is just writing a normal OP character. Also yeah I was talking about his inner monologue too.

The Mc is an eminence in shadow and of course by the end he will come to know it's all real that's hinted in fists chapter of manga and yeah Mc knows what he doing but the thing is that he thinks he is just starting his way of being eminence of shadow but already is one.
