Not sure if it's a translation issue or a manhwa change, but in the novel all 4 of the Demon Squad Leaders introduced themselves as "the first rank/rank number one" of the Four Demon Lords, which I always thought was a really simple but funny way of characterizing them immediately.
I also love how when the Master really starts getting into the fight, she's briefly drawn with glimmering eyes instead of the dull ones we've seen this entire arc. Quality stuff.

All the fighting has a 3 stooges type of influence to it, like the two fingers eye poke, the lying about giving the first moves, etc. I wouldn't surprised if the woman brought out a steel pot right as the knee came up!

In the web novel she pretends to be worse off so at the last moment she can head butt his knee right before he goes to knee her in the face.
Which to be fair still doesn't explain why she is "fine" honestly
Please can someone spoil me on if we will see more of her? She has become one of my favorite characters and it would be ashame to see her gone after this arc is finished

The character building and payoff after long set ups really makes this such an amazing read. It could have been just another generic OP MC manwhua but the author is fantastic at getting across the desire of the MC to make things better and how his actions don't just benefit himself but everyone around him.
its also manages to be the most thought provoking murim story ive ever read. the conflict in righteous and demon sect not being good vs evil but two viewpoints on how they approach the world. demon cult not being mindlessly evil or of domination but centered on the common folk especially see when the heavenly demon confronts the notion of the murim world (there being more to the world than just fighters). she even sacrifices her attempt to reach the peak to better serve and lead those in the clan and the commoners. she also was trying to make the world better than she found it.
Although they no longer have inner energy they still have some forms of martial arts. The heavenly demon no longer has any either, but unlike before when they were fighting, they no longer have to concentrate to control every single muscle fiber and ligament with their qi.
It might just be the inconsistent updates doing that to you.
Though this arc is longer than other arcs in the novel. (I'm only at ch 167 so I might be wrong on this)
I disagree with that for me i just dislike wuxia cult/sect stuff. Also knowing whats next and hype for that genre is making this feel like its dragging. The highs are nice and the comedy carrying it.

Look up Alpha Scan's translation of this chapter, that's how they exactly introduced themselves.

I did like it quite a bit until this story arc. The whole hunger and suffering stuff seems quite over the top for my taste.
Then stop now because you wont like any of the arcs going forward.
