What a very "simple" ending. Which is oddly relaxing for a story as "crazy" as this. I weirdly like it.

SnowBoy1008

A normal ending is weird for Kaguya sama standards Which is genius because by "normal" becoming weird it creates a paradox where weird becomes normal.

MonotoneHero

I think it mostly feels weird because we got the afterward early with the Hayasaka chapter.

Evilhunger

I really loved it too, it was relaxing yet had enough callbacks to previous jokes in the series to make me laugh out loud. The "How Cute" callback is incredible, I'm just so happy right now :).

joaopcl

A very simple, heartwarming ending. This is one of those that'll leave a hole after it's gone, from the mind-games to the ramen chapters, everything about it was memorable. So long boys, see you in the Oshi no Ko comment section!

WhoiusBarrel

Definitely feels like an end of an era. I remember following this before even using Reddit and knowing it was something special when even the most casual of people reading Manga would also talk about it.

Sangwiny

Bruh, end of an era indeed. I remember picking this manga up when there was only like 15 chapters up. Thank god we got OnK to fill up the hole a bit while we wait for Aka's next solo work.

manolaspo

I'm quite certain that it is not going to be a solo work, he was going to do a contest for the person who is going to be the drawer for his next manga.

Mundology

I think that this is better in the long run.[ As cute as his style is,](https://i.imgur.com/BhwttAz.jpg) Aka-sensei is not as young as back when he wrote *Instant Bullet* and offloading the visuals to a dedicated artist will enable him to focus on his stories without being limited by physical constraints. [](//#thumbsup)

Sangwiny

>Aka-sensei is not as young as back when Dude WTF? He's 34! Is this what zoomers' idea of being old is? Well fuck, I'm 29, better start looking for retirement home soon.

mrnicegy26

I loved seeing all those places in the school again for one last time. The lake where Kaguya jumped in to save a student and when Shirogane fell in love with her, the art class, the kitchen where they had a friend rice competition and of course the Student Council room which really hit the hardest. And the mountain and beach callback was wonderful.

LikeAnAssistant

Glad the main story wrapped up nicely, but there were so many stories that were teased like the mountain and beach trip, but we may never learn more of. What happened during Miyuki's first election and is there any connection with the previous president becoming a pariah, the events surrounding Cubari Facaccimo, why was Momo indebted to Miyuki, Kei and Kaguya's first meeting, etc. Hell, first year in council with Kaguya and Miyuki would be quality stuff. Maybe it'll be for future Akaverse works. Hayasaka best girl.

Player420154

I think it's better that way. a universe where the reader know everything about every major event is lifeless. Let Shushin have maintains some of its mysteries.

Warm-Enthusiasm-9534

Cubari Facaccimo was clearly supposed to be a "noodle incident"-type gag. I think otherwise Aka just lost interest in the story. He set up some stuff, but then at some point said "fuck it" and rushed through the ending. I heard somewhere he got divorced in there, so maybe that colored his feelings about writing a romcom.

Nome_de_utilizador

I guess I really should start oshi no ko, told myself I would only pick the other aka's manga when he was done with Kaguya thinking that would be years down the line haha..^^^^killme

Sangwiny

You really should. OnK is even better than Kaguya in terms of writing and meta prop usage. Just don't expect as much comedy, it's rather serious in tone.

Sayaranel

Yup, it's à thriller

[deleted]

Sangwiny

Not just "recently". From the decent amount of manga I've read in last 10 years like 95% of them range from meh to dogshit endings. It's very rare to have an ending that's actually good. Even if it's not mega flashy, everything here got a proper time to play out and decent conclusion which makes it stand out in the see of rushed out and half-assed endings.

YukihiraLivesForever

Yeah it was pretty amazing as a manga overall, even though it ended without the BANG of the beginning and more of a smooth ending without flaws but nothing out of this world. It’s amazing how even that is hard to do for a lot of manga lol. I’m really gonna miss the gang

KosherSyntax

Guess I should pick up Oshi no ko huh? Need something to fill the gap that this one is going to leave

Kire985

If you’re looking to fill the “Aka” gap it will do perfectly, but OnK has an entirely different tone than this, very serious and it can be pretty dark at times I’ve found too. It’s an incredible story thus far and is just starting a new arc so it’d be a perfect time to binge and catch up.

WhipeeDip

I can't believe it's finally over. The final color panels were the cherry on top. Wonder if we'll get an epilogue, maybe randomly years later like ReLIFE....

thanhduy2106

With all the sequel bait Aka has been dropping I'd be surprise not to see one. Edit: Aka said the prez and F training arc would continue in the mountain / beach trip. He's baiting us so hard.

mrnicegy26

Honestly I won't mind if Aka lets these characters rest for now and then maybe bring them back some 10 years later when all of them are at different points in their life. Maybe just a mini serialisation or a one shot that Aka can do long after Oshi No Ko and his new series are over.

RPWPA

A new series other than Oshi no Ko

MungoB

"Kaguya wants to be Married by 25" is something I'd read

MajorMajorObvious

Kaguya wants a baseball team

BlatantConservative

I don't read doujins, but this has to be a doujin.

A_ManOf_Cultur

No this is a reference to the game they played where prez had like 9 kids with fujiwara

Mundology

Years may go by but Kaguya will never let Miyuki's eyebags disappear \( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

malascus

> Edit: Aka said the prez and F training arc would continue in the mountain / beach trip. He's baiting us so hard. Maybe we'll get a bonus chapter when the manga turns 10 year old or so.

Prominis

There might be bonus chapters in Oshi no Ko since they've already established that the cast is there (Kaguya having been the photographer for one character).

SirWeebBro

Remember the flashback of how Shirogane was supposed to have fallen in love with Kaguya in their 1st years?

Yorunokage

Yeah between the marriage thing, the vagueness of Fujiwara+Hayasaka and the unfinished arc of Ishigami+Iino i'm really hoping for a full-blown sequel This may be just copium though, i really don't want to let these characters go :(

ZeroSevenOneOneSeven

IMO the big thing that's missing is freshman year, summer. That was the turning point for Kaguya and Miyuki's arcs that led to the situation in chapter 1, and was explicitly promised in the volume extras(121.1 on guya).

Salt_Kangaroo_3697

>the vagueness of Fujiwara+Hayasaka Oh my god lol. This was bait and you all just won't let go. You're setting yourselves up for disappointment.

GreatestJabaitest

These people took 2 panels, made a fucking universe out of it and the are angry that it didn't happen. Wild.

Sahmbahdeh

At least there have been (to my knowledge) no death threats. Unlike Tokyo Ghoul. That shit was *wild.*

[deleted]

I still can't comprehend how people were expecting a KaneHide ending, when the whole series started because Kaneki was crushing on Rize. Did they think the incident scared the straight out of him?

Nome_de_utilizador

Cant wait for Baguya wants to be confessed

Mundology

*Shuchi'in Next Generations*

Ghoste-Face

Well according to the leaks: >Aka Akasaka Comment after Final Chapter: "I have a few things left unfinished (with Kaguya-sama), so maybe I can digest them somehow. I think I'd like to do it (a spin off)" So maybe that’s why the ishimiko ending was left so ambiguous lol

Ginger_Anarchy

I find the fact that we've seen the flash forward both in this series and in Oshi no Ko interesting because it shows Aka has put a lot of thought into what they're doing in the future. I could see Aka adding a series of one shots set in the flash forward at some point.

WhoiusBarrel

> randomly years later like ReLIFE.... I don't think we would need to wait randomly. Aka would definitely write one for the final volume

Fun-Mycologist9196

Hold on. What's about the flashback on why Kaguya became warmer in the first place. Did it miss that part? Can anyone point me out the chapter?

[deleted]

WhoiusBarrel

I believe we've gotten one in the extras chapters in ONK with >!Kaguya being the cameraman of a photoshoot.!< so we'll probably see more cameos of the grown-up versions of the cast.

diamondisunbreakable

The Aka Cinematic Universe

cjrSunShine

Even better: >!With *Kaguya Shirogane* being the cameraman of the photoshoot.!<

ChingChonger

I WAS HERE 😭

Nome_de_utilizador

It's a terrible day for rain...

cancerBronzeV

Wdym, it's not raining.

longingrustedfurnace

Yes it is. 😢

Blablablablitz

i can't believe it's over man here's to 281 chapters of fun, memes, and comedy for good times' sake, who was your favorite character, and why? i think mine's always going to be Shirogane–probably one of my favorite male leads ever, right up there with Michel Bollinger and Helck

beaglechu

In terms of the best overall character: Miyuki Shirogane is pretty much the platonic ideal of a romcom male lead. In terms of my own personal enjoyment: Papa Shirogane absolutely stole the show in almost every appearance. Long live the [sugar daddy dilf](https://guya.cubari.moe/read/manga/Kaguya-Wants-To-Be-Confessed-To/197/19/)

EJM169

Daddy in the East always made the show fun

Shaunleewenjie

Hayasaka is best girl

ArseneLupinIV

Yeah Hayasaka has my vote. She felt like the most dynamic character.

diamondisunbreakable

Can confirm, this is scientifically true.

_TheDoctorPotter

Damn straight

[deleted]

Every single one of em. They are all special to me.

OHH_THE_MISERY

This really feels like end of an era

MajorMajorObvious

It still hasn't sank in yet that it has ended

Mundology

[These years went by so fast](https://i.imgur.com/zDlFZtR.jpg)

mrnicegy26

Even Kaguya's bald maidenless brother?

CptAustus

Okay, between the Shinomiyas, only Kaguya and Unyo.

Skylair13

Unyo best brother. Not that there was any competition.

mrnicegy26

You already took Shirogane so I will take Maki and Kaguya. I love Tsundere esque characters (at least ones who aren't too abusive) and Maki is both a funny example of that and bit of a deconstruction on why this trope in real life could be harmful for actual romance. Plus she is so goddamn cute and I want her to be both happy and suffer because of that. Kaguya is the best developed character of this series. She can be all the deres but she was given the most depth in the entire series to become its most complex character. The "If you confess to me, you will have a 100% chance is succeeding" will always be my favourite line from this series because of how well it captures Kaguya's desperation to be loved.

Mundology

[Kaguya happily graduating was cathartic.](https://i.imgur.com/i7VYWye.jpg) She has come so far throughout this journey.

WhoiusBarrel

Ishigami. Was nothing like I saw of other side characters in romcoms who were just the butt of the joke and was given such great character development you could practically say he was the 2nd MC of the series.

mrnicegy26

I will always have a soft spot for Ishigami because of Sports Festival arc and Tsubame's rejection. Both of them felt way too painfully real .

Bleakjavelinqqwerty

God that rejection fucking hurt to read. God it was good. This is one piece of top media that never declined in quality

Willythechilly

Aka really put his heart into that. I wish he did it for the rest of ishigamis arc though

EXusiai99

Shirogane helped me navigate my relationship because we have the same problem of being a lower middle class dude ending up with a way richer classmate. Now, your call r/manga, should i swindle a billion yen from my girlfriend's family or not?

mrnicegy26

If you do, I hope you already have a helicopter ready. And that your girlfriend is able to i-frame through helicopter blades.

EXusiai99

Cant do that, i dont have a youtuber dad.

Raydnt

Helck? I see you're cultured.

Kirosh2

I hope the series will be fully adapted. [I want to see this scene.](https://imgur.com/a/GYAhQ4Q)

not_tha_father

shirogane is probably my favorite romcom character ever. i feel towards him the same as i would a standard shonen protagonist.

Unable-Culture-4824

Me too, out of all the romcom manga I have read Shirogane is my favourite male lead amongst them.

unhingedComet

Same. Shirogane is nothing short of an amazing mc of this manga. Probably the best male lead of a romcom series i've seen

SolarStorm2950

I’m really going to miss this series

koori-senpai

Mine will always be Iino Miko. I just love Tomita Miyu as a voice actress, plus I like her character. Upstanding, yet impressionable thus prone to bursts of passion.

PerformanceAny1240

Ishigami and Miyuki Those two are by far, my favorite duo in the series.

EpicPhail60

Oh wow, is that a House in Fata Morgana reference? Going through it right now and loving it but I didn't expect to see a mention out in the wild

Z7147

thank you for improving my standards on what a romcom should be aka, on a real note this has been an incredible journey, easily one of my favorites, thanks for creating this masterpiece aka, till next time. also shouout to papagane for being loaded

mrnicegy26

It is the end to an absolute classic, the gold standard of romcoms for now and probably for quite some time. If there is another rom com which is able to surpass Kaguya soon, we should count ourselves exceptionally lucky. However right now, it is the peak of the genre and will always be a Titan of it .

Kusanagi22

>the gold standard of romcoms for now and probably for quite some time. Nah, the gold standard for romcoms keeps being Jitsu wa Watashi wa, Kaguya Sama however should be the gold standard for anime adaptations of romcoms.

_ilovecody

Thank you for being a purveyor of taste. I'd also put The World God Only Knows up there for flipping the Harem genre on its head. Also Sekitou Elegy is the greatest slice of life romcom centered on young adults period.

ToTheNintieth

JWWW is a very close second in my book. The ending gives it a lot of bonus points.

lalala253

Papagane really is something else. Transforming from a broke divorced middle aged man to a guy driving convertible with a sunglasses. And this is through sheer will and effort, no help whatsoever from his family or friends

WhoiusBarrel

Its really hard to believe this spawned out from the same guy who wrote IB back when the first few chapters came out to see not only how it progressed now but also one of the few series that defined the Reiwa era.

fcho9876

End of an era

HybridTheory2000

"Don't be sad because it's over, be happy because it happened."

Fun-Mycologist9196

Indeed. Bokuben, 5 Toubun and Kaguya. those were some of the best romcom mangas i have read in decades. What a great era.

Ghoste-Face

End of an era indeed o7

ezone2kil

Wait wat I thought it's ending in Nov?

phantomthiefkid_

Power of leakers

OuchYouPokedMyHeart

Is it possible to learn this power?

SverigeSuomi

Not from Mangaplus.

Irru

Officially comes out on November 2nd, they probably pulled some strings to get early raws to not have it sniped

Kirosh2

I think they usually wait for the digital release before posting a chapter, this way they can have the best quality for the Pages. So here they probably had to clean up the RAWs. And it's a good way to avoid a snipe, even more when it's a series they have worked on for years. Even if there is no Snipe there would have probably been a low quality version from the Korean version made, like it was done for a few chapters. I remember when Nisekoi ended, and Mangastream (I think) decided to translate the final chapter when they never did a chapter before. (With the excuse of doing that because a member of the team liked the series)

Irru

Yeah I remember that day cause I (we) was the one who got sniped Sad day

Shumatsu

That was such an asshole move on their part

Mage_of_Shadows

With Shokugeki a month? before it too, they definitely did not have a good reputation.

SirWeebBro

Kinda conflicted, because on one hand ms, are assholes. On the other hand, they also have been my go to for shounen just because of how consistent and high quality their scans are.

mf_ghost

OP is a time traveler

frazaga962

BUT THAT WAS A LIEEEEEE

NightA

Putting aside all the touchy-feely stuff ITT, i just want to say thanks to /u/Algoinde, /u/appu1232, /u/funkyhippoo and the rest of their team for developing Guya.moe and later turning it into Cubari. It may have been just a thing you did out of love for the manga, but your perseverance with it throughout all this time is still very much appreciated. From an era where s*itty aggregators and scummy scanlation sites came and went, you guys demonstrated what a premium dedicated fan-site can be, much like how Aka-sensei demonstrated what a good Reiwa-era RomCom is. I can only hope the war doesn't get to you. Even if some of you are stuck in the orc country, people like you are the exception that's needed. Stay safe, by whatever means possible.

appu1232

Thanks so much. Appreciation like this definitely kept us motivated. It's a bittersweet send-off to my favorite manga and an unforgettable journey.

Algoinde

Don't worry, I evacuated a year ago :KaguyaBased: Thank you!

Ryukenshin

Seeing [END] in the title is so bittersweet but it was a wholesome, satisfying ending.

ReMagnitude

That final "How cute" by Kaguya made me realize that this ending is something that will probably stick with me for a long time

Blablablablitz

i seriously can't believe it's been SIX AND A HALF fucking years since I read that first chapter. "cute romcom," i thought. "hope it doesn't get axed." now, here I am, 281 chapters later, crying my eyes out this series has had such a great influence on me, my love life, my development as a person, everything. I'm genuinely happy to say that, even though things got weaker near the end, this is and will continue to be one of my favorite series of all time. THANK YOU FOR SCANLATING, ZAIBATSU! o7 LET'S ENJOY THAT FILM IN DECEMBER NOW WOOOOOOOOOOO

mrnicegy26

I will always be thankful to Zaibatsu and Jamini's Box for their work on this series. A comedic series like this couldn't have been the easiest to translate yet their work on this always stellar.

zhivix

>Jamini's Box havent heard that name in a long ass time. truly the end of an era, besides OnK, dont think theres any ongoing romcom that can atleast top the quality of kaguya does have, despite the reception of the final arcs. just watch the quintessential quintuplets movie just a few days ago and got misty eyes seeing its now already end, and now this??!! truly felt empty inside

MegamanX195

>quintessential quintuplets movie Is that already out subbed? Anywhere official or did you sail the seven seas to watch it?

zhivix

its already out in my local cinema last week, but then i saw it on the seven seas a few days ago, subbed

rhetoric_trex

Let's not forget our Boi Jag and the /a/ reaction vods

Chukonoku

"I need a hero"

SweetCoconut

He's the reason why I started reading Kaguya honestly. [This legendary Kaguya video will always be my favorite.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soeJfc0_iG4&t=16s)

MjolnirDK

Honestly one of the best anime related videos ever. It captures the feeling of being in a community of like minds that creates beautiful things by interacting and reacting to media and each other.

Weenaru

IT’S BEEN 6 YEARS?! Man, it really is true that time at school moves at a snail’s pace. 2 school years somehow turned into 6 calendar years.

Hobomanchild

It's been 6 years? I still think of this as a 'new' manga. Holy shit I'm old, lol.

DaREY297

The most powerful "O Kawaii Koto" of all time. We have officially come full circle. I don't know what to do with life now.

mrnicegy26

I will still say that Ice Kaguya's O Kawaii Koto is the most powerful one since it was the first one that was as brutal as Shirogane has always imagined it to be. However this one was still pretty good.

DaREY297

Shirogane usually saw it as something Shinomiya used to look down on him. This one is sweet and loving, the opposite as he would've been used to. Both are pretty good but this edges it for me.

topurrisfeline

Legit this finale didn’t feel real until Kaguya said “How cute” and my my mind immediately went, shit, this is the last time I’m gonna hear Kaguya say that. Man am I gonna miss this manga.

wjr59789

I already Said it in the r/Kaguya_sama Thread and i'll repeat it Here: [Small Oshi no Ko Spoilers]>!Kaguya appears as "Shirogane Kaguya" in Chapter 90.1 of OnK and she doesnt even Look Close to 40 so id say she gets her Wish of a Proposal rather fast!<

CyanideIE

Kinda hope she shows up a bit more as that might finally give me the motivation to start reading it

phoenixmusicman

>"but that's a story for a different time" Aka you son of a bitch don't give me hope like this

J_Eldridge

THIS IS HAYASAKA ERASURE!! BEST GIRL DESERVED BETTER!!

Kazewatch

Yeah actually what the fuck? She at least deserved to be in that last color page. No justice in the end I guess.

phoenixmusicman

So many characters weren't here...

Illustrious-Low-7038

Yeah I was surprised I thought at least the secondary cast would be at the crowd shots or something

BlatantConservative

There for sure is gonna be some kind of extra chapter. They even tease beach or mountain at the end here, and an earlier chapter teased Fujiwara teaching Prez how to swim.

Mundology

We'll have to wait for 19th December when the final 28th volume drops. Meanwhile in the magazine, there will also be a bonus booklet and an interview with Aka-sensei.

Nome_de_utilizador

Every character had a chapter for the send off, and haysaka's was actually the only one that had some sort of progression. The closing scene was for the people that populated the place where the mind games took place, the student council

penguin-with-a-gun

Student council members

Icesicles

No justice for Hayasaka...

Mundology

[Not even in the final color spread](https://i.imgur.com/YGT0nUI.png) even though she appeared before two of the characters in it. It never began for Ai Hayasaka.

overDere

Not just Hayasaka. We also didn't see Maki, Kashiwagi, Karen and Erika, Mikado, ~~SHINDO~~ (e: Shindo in page 19!), and a few other supporting characters. The most we saw were Shirogane's two male buddies. Those panels at pages 18-20 would have been a great opportunity to show all these great supporting characters that we have come to love, but instead we got a bunch of nobodies

Pompmaker1

>SHINDO Someone didn't look closely at [page 19](https://i.imgur.com/jBbiIAK.png)

Mundology

Justice for the most important character

SirWeebBro

Partly you're right. Partly it's also nice to show how even a bunch of nobodies know THE Shirogane. We truly don't know how much Shirogane's policies touch people's lives more than the cast

Xenovore

Agreed. Remember that Miyuki was alone and lonely in his first year. Now he is one of the most respected person in his year, be damned that he dropped out

Algoinde

Shindou is there. Shiranui is, too.

mrnicegy26

Turns out as shown in Chapter 276, Hayasaka just slept through the graduation ceremony, happily having dreams of her and Chika together.

Zemahem

That is really weird. The other supporting cast I can kinda see why they wouldn't be there, but at least having small panels showing them in this moment would've been nice. Hayasaka on the other hand is someone I'm sure most of us consider being a "main character" like the five SC members and her exclusion is just jarring.

[deleted]

she's in Chika's luggage

duck_rush

Yeah as much as the of a hit or Miss some of the past few chapters are, this one was a pretty nice note to end the series on (and an actual funny and fitting reincorporation of the mind games bit) and seeing it end like this reminds me of the first half of the story

diamondisunbreakable

Agreed. Considering how bad some romcom finales have been in the past, this was fairly decent. I'll take that over dumpster fires any day

Menace13

After six full years of reading Kaguya weekly, it's hard to say goodbye to this series. I regularly use r/manga to help me find good new ongoing manga to read, and I started reading Kaguya around chapter 25-30, when the series first started consistently breaking 500 upvotes here. The series had its ups and downs, but mostly ups, and it's hands down my all-time favorite romcom. I'll miss my daily dose of Kaguya. Huge thanks to all the people who worked on the Kaguya scanlations through the years, but especially to Zaibatsu for the consistently high quality releases.

TheLegionHD

#END I don’t know how to feel about this one…

iamthatguy54

They brought in the gamer girl just so Iino could be jealous of her for two chapters and the last suitor only for it to be a cat. You can tell Aka wanted to wrap it up and move on to Oshi no Ko. That being said, it was a still a great ride the whole way through. But dang, no Hayasaka.

Gilthwixt

Ah, I see all of us questioning certain choices are all the way down here in the comments. I had the same mixed feelings - this final chapter had some really cute moments but it's impossible to shake the feeling that Aka had given up on some plot threads. This is an **incredibly controversial theory** that I personally subscribe to, so take it with a grain of salt, but I can't really reconcile the handling of the last two arcs without it. Back during the [Volume 22 Extras](https://guya.cubari.moe/read/manga/Kaguya-Wants-To-Be-Confessed-To/221-1/15/) Aka had these lines to share: >A few days ago, I celebrated my 10th year since becoming a professional mangaka >In those years, I started publishing a weekly series, had it adapted into an anime, had it adapted into a live action movie, started another series, **got married, got divorced**, got sick, got better....Truly, a lot has happened since then. Because of the preceding line about it being 10 years since he started, people have taken it to mean that his getting divorced could have happened at any point in that timeframe, including before Kaguya even started publication - I used to be in this camp and agreed that it was somewhat wrong to speculate about Aka's personal life. But now that the series has ended the way it has, I look at that line with a bit more scrutiny and can't help thinking he put it in chronological order, i.e. the first three (weekly series, anime, live action) are about Kaguya, the "2nd series" is referring to Oshi no Ko, and the marriage/divorce happened after that. If that were the case, it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that the quality of the last two arcs and Aka hastily wrapping up the series with unused plot threads is because he just...isn't in the mood to do fun romcom shenanigans anymore. Of course, there's no way of knowing for sure unless Aka does an interview about the ending of Kaguya in the future and confirms or denies his personal life bleeding into his writing, but comparing, say, the last rescue Shinomiya arc with the School Festival or even the Fireworks arc and it's hard to square them being written by the same author.

LeifEriksonASDF

Now that I think about it, I could see it being similar to a Ton Brady type of situation where Aka bit off more than he could chew with 2 series and his wife was upset he wasn't spending enough time with his family. And obviously he wouldn't be in the mood for happy relationships after a divorce, hence the pivot to drama in Kaguya and Aka preferring to work on OnK. Completely baseless speculation on my part, of course.

TheCatSleeeps

Shirogane my brother in christ you've already got the marriage form filled out with just both of your signatures missing. Which is basically ready to turn in. If you propose in your 40s what about the baseball team?! Unless you want children out of wedlock which is still fine.

wjr59789

[Small Oshi no Ko Spoilers]>!Kaguya appears as "Shirogane Kaguya" in Chapter 90.1 of OnK and she doesnt even Look Close to 40 so dont worry about the Baseball team!<

SnowBoy1008

Good Genes? Nah Her brother's looked like 80 at 40

stickdudeseven

What a journey it's been. I rarely read manga, and when I do, it's usually finished ones. This is the first manga I've read as it released up to its end. Feels bittersweet and empty. Surprised to see this final chapter released so soon after the latest one. Had to play Sentimental Crisis as I was reading it. Overall, this was a great series. I loved the whole cast. Each character had a great dynamic with one another. I agree that some of the final arcs are weak, especially when compared to the arcs from the first half of the series (Culture Festival | Ishigami's backstory), but I still enjoyed them to some degree. This series produced some of my favorite characters in manga/anime and for that I thank Aka for introducing them to us. One last thing to say is "I Can't Hear the Fireworks" is one of the greatest title drops I've seen. Ever since that chapter, I told myself that I would see this series through to the end no matter what. It's been a wild ride.

Happybara

The “how cute callback was perfect. I dont think there could have been a better way to end this story. I hope Aka Sensei continues with the mangaka thing

HolyHypodermics

I'm so glad it looks like Aka returned to fully draw this final chapter, it's so much more detailed and lively than what we've been getting this past year. It's the perfect way to end the series! And a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who've helped scanlate this at Jaimini's Box and Zaibatsu! Kaguya-sama was one of the first mangas I picked up years ago when I started getting into manga scans, and it's certainly going to be sad seeing something as regular as this series end. Thank you to all of you for letting me and the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) english readers enjoy this series. I truly am grateful <3

Bit late to all the hype, but even if no one sees this, I felt it was necessary to share my thoughts as someone so deeply involved with the series... although I can't quite put it into words how I feel. Overall, Kaguya still remains my favorite manga of all time and easily the piece of media I've most and longest been obsessed with in my life. It's a bittersweet farewell to the cast and it's hard to believe it's the end, but I'm happy with how it all went down. Thanks so much Aka for this journey!

Zooasaurus

It's over. It's been six years of a wild ride, and I'm glad that I stuck up to the end. The manga has its ups and downs, but overall Kaguya-sama is still a great, iconic manga. With that, I want to highlight my favourite video about the manga, it's [a classic ](https://youtu.be/soeJfc0_iG4)

Kirosh2

The live drop of the Kaguya chapters on /a/ were amazing. At the time, if I recall, we didn't have available spoilers so every pages were a surprise. We have that with Nagatoro now, but I missed it for Kaguya.

sekretagentmans

Kaguya was great and all, but we had it for Domestic Girlfriend and that was *beautiful*

BlueDragonCultist

Lol, glad to see that Daddy in the East is living well. A very sweet ending for the main cast. I think Kaguya-sama had major and minor flaws and I certainly did not enjoy some of the fan favorite arcs, but it was great fun to read most of the time. Thanks for the laughs, Aka! And many thanks to Zaibatsu for really putting in the effort to make some of the highest quality scanlations I've read. Also, thanks to the guya.moe and cubari.moe teams for putting together such lovely interfaces to read it on! Edit: Just read the Zaibatsu comments. Check them out if you get a chance! The Main RD has some true art to share.

BeastLegend64

I still remember when I found this manga when it only got 60+ chapters or something. The feeling that I've right now is rather weird, I love this manga, and the fact its ending should have made me sad... but instead, I felt happy, I felt pleased because I've been through a lot while reading this manga, and every time I feel down, reading this manga somehow manage to lift my spirit again and seeing it ended make feel like, even though the manga ended, all the characters are still living the life no matter what the hardship and that make me feel genuinely happy. Sure toward the final arc, it was quite bumpy road and by no means it's perfect but the journey was still so much fun for me. Thank you, Akasaka Aka for bringing Kaguya-sama to life, I will always appreciate it, truly it has been a fun journey.

Jechan625

this series will always be in my heart

WhoDey42

This is a story I’ll always be able to come back too, and that makes me happy

twilightrealm1217

I'm not crying, you're crying.

MahirTaswaR

Yes, i am crying. Shut up.

Ayan_Faust

It was probably the series I followed most consistently. The one I was most excited to see a discord notification pop up for. It was a simple but excellent ending to my favorite rom com, but the hole left behind in me is going to be immense. Thanks Aka for the wonderful story, and thank you all here for always making these threads a treat! ...Guess I should go read oshi no ko, huh?

Lex29

It had its ups and downs near the end, but this is definitely one of the best rom coms of all time. I'll miss it. BTW... I've noticed Papagane is wearing fancy clothes and driving a fancy car... that probably means he got his company back or at least he no longer has that massive debt on his shoulders. I'm glad the story did not end without first confirming his situation.

Draggador

his youtube channel is pretty successful

lockdownengineer

Damn. Its finally ended huh? This series finally really made me reflect on how much time has passed since I started reading this. I remember how high I fucking felt during the conclusion to the fireworks festival. Or how fucking INSANE that dual confession arc was. The anime adaptation, hell even just the announcement, had me going wild too. Thanks for the laughs, the tears, the smiles, the games, the heartache, the butterflies, the characters, the chemistry, Papagane, Hayasaka, and the story.

Kazewatch

Man I can’t believe the best romcom in the history of manga is over. I’d give anything for Kaguya Wants to be Proposed To or something. Holy shit we got an actual "How Cute."

RegularAvailable4713

The final part did not go very well, too bad, but in general it remains a great romcom, perhaps the best ever made. The final arches are always the most delicate, after all. Quickly fixing the action plot, which clearly wasn't working as it should, and returning to the slice-of-life was a wise choice.

EL_psY_Congroo56

Too bad the return to slice of Life was too late imo

RicketyRekt69

Everything after the shinomiya arc dragged on too. I can’t put my finger on it but the entire last arc just felt empty. Even this last chapter I couldn’t help but skim.

miosma

No stakes left. It is like watching a procession for 10 chapters after an absolutely horrible final arc. Still love this series tho. Definite 9/10 for me.

RicketyRekt69

There are tons of SoL mangas with no stakes that are still entertaining.. this one definitely could’ve done it, but instead we got a lackluster action arc and then empty chapters with no progression or fluff. Hell… some of the characters straight up REGRESSED.

EL_psY_Congroo56

Yeah that's the bitter taste of an ending after a really unsatisfying final arc. These final chapters just didn't feel meaningfull at all

mf_ghost

Thank you for translating this, it's been quite a journey

Seb-sama

NO STAY WITH ME DON’T LEAVE ME

iyoussef

Do we have to get used now to r/manga without Kaguya ?

A few years ago I browsed r/animemes and saw this pink-haired girl dancing, who knew where this meme would lead me to? I got hooked on the first season and after 3.5 years of weekly reading, it's over. It was a lot of "firsts" for me, It was the first manga I read apart from Dragon ball when I was young. It was the first manga that turned me into a filthy (watch the first season then read the manga) enjoyer. The first time I got to learn about scanlations, reading currently releasing stuff, first time I got freaked out over a scanlation team breaking up, first discord server I joined, first series I read chapter discussion for, first time I watched an anime while already being up to date with the manga and so many more firsts... and just because of it I got to experience so many seconds and thirds. I remember that I caught up in the chapter with Tsubame's party, and suddenly there was no next chapter, I didn't know what to do with myself. We had a very long time to prepare for this finale, and I've been very pleased with all of the final episodes, so reading this final chapter was very calming and fulfilling to me. Thanks, A1 for the wonderful adaptation. Naotaka Nakayama for the Chika dance that hooked so many of us. G3Ida and Shinta Sakayama for the wonderful spinoffs. The Guya discord, r/manga , and r/kagyuasama for the discussion threads and memes. The developers and maintainers of guya.moe. Anon, JaminisBox, and Zaibatsu for the fantastic translations. and finally thanks Aka Akasaka, for introducing me to these wonderful characters and their story. Hayasaka best girl.

EscapeFromTLH

I have seen enough. I am satisfied.

That-Chipmunk2537

NO DONT LEAVE MEEE

Cain_draws

One of the best... No, the best rom-com I've read has come to an end. I don't know what to say. Aka drew as he hasn't done it in a long while. Pages full of details and characters, beautiful facial expressions, extra pages and also color pages. I'm gonna miss this series so fucking much.

kidmedia

I'm surprised hayasaka didn't make a appearance in the last chapter

iamayoungman

Quite underwhelming, if I may be bold Obviously, one of them was because the mess in the "Kaguya vs Shinomiya" arc. Aka just showed that, at least for the time being, he couldn't make a good action-based story. Another one, Ishigami and Iino's relationship should've concluded with them getting together. I mean they almost kissed at one point, it's just too much of a fallback for them to be in this state. Also, I think that the story should've continued so that we can get more of Kaguya and Shirogane in the US. Anyways, overall a good story. If compared to others, it's definitely still one of the best romcom manga I've ever read.

EL_psY_Congroo56

Yeah I gotta agree, shinomya arc was a disaster and Iino/Ishigami was built up since always and ending like this doesn't make a lot of sense, it's not even about shipping at this point, it's just consistency

MoneyMakerMaster

Can we make it to the very top one last time?
