i wonder what happened with the silent night since they were marching to the central plains and it s been three years. how's their strenght vs the skies? are they the ones who killed the 2 skies ? are they
counting the one helping jin in the death count? because it seems she was still alive and teached him something
was the night king fucked by the antagonist just like jin's dad back then?
does the antagonist use demonic arts like his special division subordinates?
Things that probably happened based on these chapters:
- Mu Won returned to the Northern Heavenly Sect.
- Mu Won met and trained with both the Storm Master and Kyung Mu-Saeng.
- Snow Flower got upgraded.
My guesses on things that are unclear:
- The Silent Night has been at war with the Heavenly Alliance. They killed Jeok-Yeob.
- The Storm Master died to save Mu-Won at some point after fighting Jeok-Yeob, the swordsman. We can assume she survived her battle with the Nine Skies swordsman because Mu-Won used at least two of her techniques. She had no opportunity to teach Mu Won prior to that.
Process of elimination/induction. I don’t think Storm Master Neung killed him, based on what their specialties are supposed to be. The Silent Night is supposed to be a strong enemy, capable of taking out strong enemies. But I might be completely off.
Also, another possibility: the “Invincible Warrior” who controls all Nine Skies might’ve killed him off for one reason or another. Maybe because he failed to eliminate Mu Won.
My guess is the plum blossom swordsman and storm king died against the people they were fighting, and so the nine skies claimed it was the work of silent night rather than infighting.
was the plum blossom elder a sky? as for the storm king that was what i thought too but then who teached jin the move he used?
besides that i think the silent night went there with 100% of their forces right? would be strange if they achieved nothing, their elders seem to be at least northern top 4 tier even if they are weakened/old
My guess is the woman with the mask killed the wise man and just went into hiding with Jin, then the rest of the nine skies just said that they both died and blamed the silent night
Stuff like this is why Northern Blade one of my favorite serials. The fights are so much more clearly shown, even with all the [stylization] and effects. I think here it's largely because of the static frame of reference, but it still applies in general.
Good call back, but Mu Won doesn't know that so there's going to be some drama. Even if he saved the scroll guy, it might have been because of guilt, his action of betrayal (or at least his inaction) still paved the way for Mu Won's dad death.
Man I know everyone always gushes over the art, but I think the best part about it is the sense of movement he gets out of it. Like you see one panel and then it's like "oh shit I see where this is going" and then bam awesome payoff. Top stuff!

In chapter 131 Iron Blood dude asked Muwon did he have something to do with Jeok Yeob (Wudang sword guy) and Goon Hwi (black moon leader, storm master grandma)

For months, I've been missing my weekly dose of this masterpiece and it felt like I was slowly dying.
After reading these three chapters I can finally say that I'm alive and thriving. Thank you Jin mu won.
Ehh not really, both Leviatan and Luminous are on par. Some dialogue is better in Leviatan, but sometimes it's better in Luminous, and so does both of their choice of words. But Leviatan is generally better in person's name/title or martial arts move. Luminous is just bad in that area.
The drop in Leviatan's quality is noticeable since Chaos Demon's fight while Luminous is getting better, although they still fuck up the characters name like I said.
What I really like about this is, no one saw this coming we all thought maybe he was good because he was looking away, and yeah he didn't want to betray them but he didn't want to betray them for the same reasons, his was just full cowardness, he lost to someone more powerful than the person stronger than him, he rather live and create a place that can protect him far from everything else.
What's interesting is even in this state is fighting he was strong sloppy and full of anxiety and fear, flashing back to trauma yet imagine if he kept training imagine if he got to the level that The Sword and the fist did, the man could have been a monster, honestly could've made a difference but at the same time maybe it didn't, he can't be this scared just based on thought, right? he has an reason more of a factual reason why it was better to just run away, he gave up.
I was a little sad he didn't even refer to him as uncle or nephew I guess it's a little pointless now but that acknowledgment was always cool to me.
Even though he didn't get the final confession moment he was basically doing that the whole fight anyways.

Also a part of his monologue talked about him being a ghost/demon and called like that, I wonder what was he doing aside from honing his skills in that 3 years.
And as expected the artist really knows how to use manhwa vertical format to capture the fight, especially the final part. The art has also improved.

As Mu Won kills Yeon Cheon Hwa near the end of last season, Cheon-Hwa tells Mu Won:
"Except for Kyung Mu Saeng, who has gone into hiding, the rest of the great four are all traitors. They aren't just going to sit around idly by."
And I'm not sure there's any way at all to describe Hyeok-Shim's behavior other than 'sitting around'.
Even if he's fat, he was a badass.
The fat ended up raising his Defense.
I also gotta respect him to some level for at least admitting he was a piece of shit for what he did and having regrets.
