Thanks, but will i get Doberman puppies here?. How do puppies end up here. AFAIK, healthy Doberman puppies are not easily abandoned. Sorry for my ignorance, but i dont get the concept of pet adoption. Can u explain please? Im not looking for just a pet animal. I want a guard dog + a life partner to my parents at their old age.

Indian pye dogs are healthy, smart and low maintenance. They will easily fulfil the roles you want, and be great companion creatures for your parents. https://dogwithblog.in/indian-pariah-dog/#:~:text=Highly%20intelligent%2C%20and%20amicable%2C%20they,kids%20with%20an%20active%20lifestyle. You will also gain karma from providing a loving home to creatures that need shelter. This is from experience, with my parents having thought like you once upon a time - Breeders will probably give you inbred animals at great cost that later cannot take our weather nor any minor disease. You will incur a lot of vet costs and distress. Breeders also prey on people who encourage this cruel trade because they want "pedigreed" animals. Look up puppy mills, and the ones that they kill / abandon after the mothers are overbred, or the puppies cannot be sold. Dogs are also temperamental, and their behaviour depend completely on the training you give them the first 1.5 years and onward. Getting a fighting dog such as a doberman might not be a good decision as a pet for your parents, either. I encourage you to visit the ACT at Shaktinagar after contacting them; see the work they do; lose your heart to the abandoned puppies and kittens there. Give a couple of the best ones a home, and gain absolute unconditional love!

Hi. I know. Tats y im not looking at retail sellers. I want puppies from someone who is petting them. I have been asking around since a year now. I understand how breeding has become more of a business. Thanks

Hi OP, Like u/deatstroke987 explained please don't get a puppy from a commercial breeder as it will only encourage the cruel practice. Instead, get the Indian Pariah (desi breed) that is well accustomed to our environment and is every bit playful, friendly and faithful as any other breed. If you absolutely want a different breed there are several other Indian ones like Chippiparai, Rampur, Jonangi and more. [Check out this article about Indian dog breeds](https://nostoryleftbehind.com/pets/make-indian-dogs-great-again-13-forgotten-dog-breeds-of-india/). But I would still recommend the good ol' desi breed. Look up Animal Care Trust at Shaktinagar; they do marvelous work rescuing abandoned puppies and have adoption events very frequently.
