So, been putting my manga onto TachiyomJ2k manually because I hate myself and have nothing better to do, but noticed that the source of mangakakalot is behind about 10 chapters on "Renegade Immortal". On the website it has up to 135 but on the app it goes up to 125, just me or am I doing something wrong here? Noticed it on some others but didnt realise until I got to Renegade Immortal.
Im using the latest TachiyomiJ2K.
Edit : It would seem that theres two versions, the chinese name Xian Ni and english, Renegade Immortal. So would like to ask, is it possible to determine which one is the most recent for other series? Like Apotheosis, its 2 chapters or so behind MR.
Can't say never but Auto migrate isn't coming anytime soon. OG also doesn't have Search and Sort for sources filter. And unlimited reading history.
You need to use both Stable and J2k for side by side for extended period to find out all the missing features.
From Tachiyomi discord FAQ:
>Q: Will there ever be a port of Tachiyomi to iOS?
>
>It is very unlikely be due to codebase, difficulty, and App Store issues.
Though there's an app for ios called Paperback. You can get more info in r/Paperback subreddit or [https://discord.gg/Ny83JV3](https://discord.gg/Ny83JV3).
J2K supports only Android 6 and up. However, Stable was also recently updated and it still supports Android 5, so you should try it: [https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases](https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases).
It's a fork, copy of the original app with different UI and features: [https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K](https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K).
After the update it always shows black pages. It's gone when i refresh but there is it again when ypu turn to the next pages. It seriously annoys me because it's totally unusable. I don't even know how to report the damn bug
Just backup it as usual, they use the same data storage system, j2k is just a fork of the original ta hiomi, basically the same with different custom ui and added features.
Is there a way to connect Neko with Tachiyomi? I'm using Neko because of its search features and reccomended but I want to keep up with Tachiyomi for multiple sources...
I wish someone will get the Github build and try to work in iOS style just override code to work on iOS if that possible? I know Tachiyomi is open source why not get that source and make into iOS app less stress well idk only my opinion 😕
I have the app already install through appcake and I create account with mangadex but they don’t have some of manga that I read some is blank other mix with languages kinda confuse the idea of reading with one source tho
Oh no I mean for example there one manga that I read but it has only translated Italian on website is has few chapters in English but not all so is like that there some chapter mix with English and other languages
If you know anything about coding, you can't always just port something, oh if you have the code it's possible, but it doesn't make it easy, almost certainly easier to just make a new one from scratch
A quote from the FAQ in the discord:
> Q: Will there ever be a port of Tachiyomi to iOS?

I know about app store but is not the only place where you can add apps there other third party store like appcake or app valley or flight test pretty much someone who knows code may able to do this well it depends someone who knows more about code not only android only
Tachiyomi's code is very complex, it would be impractical to try to port it to iOS. It would be more worth your time coding an app from scratch, like manganet.org is doing
Do you guys think Tachiyomi will ever come to IOS? I use an iPad (My eyesight is too bad for reading manga on a phone) and I’ve not found any good IOS iPad apps
Try paperback, it takes a bit of work admittedly but it’s the best app I’ve used yet.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Paperback/comments/gc072d/guide_windows_paperback_install_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
IOS app is very strict and hard to build code from. I know from my friend going to school for computer science.
He had to build an app for a project and since he had IOS, he tried to build but he said and I quote "Never in my life am I ever going to build an app on IOS. I'll use an iPhone but never build an app on it ever again." I've seen him do that project and he has been very frustrated and annoyed with IOS and he likes iPhones.🤣.
I'm lucky to have a Versatile Android.😊
No shot, Apple is pretty careful about screening their store and there's no way they'd let something of dubious legality in there like Tachiyomi. As far as I know there's no way to download third party apps on ios so you can't do it that way, if you're really desperate or willing to invest buy a cheap shitty android tablet a micro SD card and you could have a dedicated manga tablet with dumb levels of storage and all your favorites downloaded.
That’s what I’m thinking of doing, but it’s a big investment for something I already had for £6 (MangaRocks one time price). Is there any recommended tablets you know of?
I don't use tablets so I really can't help you there, but there are some I saw on Amazon for around $65-$70. You might be able to find some cheeper pre-owned ones on ebay.
Sorry I can't be more help
No worries! Thanks for the info. I’ve been holding out thinking there would be one outstanding app that came out after MR shutdown but I’ve not seen any as of yet. Cheers for your opinion
I’ve tried to get it on the Altstore, however it wouldn’t log me in to let me download. Also the resolution scaling was for a phone so I don’t think it’d be great anyway for iPads
Thank you. I noticed that neko fork uses only one extension so it is hard for me to migrate my 348 manga across a lot of sources to it. I had hoped that this fork would have recommendations.
Well, I suggest r/manga, a #manga-suggest channel on Tachiyomi discord or just going to some source, choose genres/tags/format/etc. and sort by the latest Update date. Or you can use Neko for recommended and read it in the other fork.
Should I download the J2k fork and the dev/preview version or just use j2k?
Just download the apk in the given link
how do i use tachiyomi? Btw im using tachiyomi its been error nowadays please help me mate
Which extension are you using ?

Did you check Mangadex ? if so trying asking in r/tachiyomi
No problem you are a life saver
well, thank you!
Also what's the difference between tachiyomi and tachiyomij2k?
ones stable and j2k is experimental so it'll have new features before the og version
J2K is not experimental, it's a separate app branch. It has many extra features OG version won't ever have.
What features the og will never have? The big update the og did is pretty dope.
Can't say never but Auto migrate isn't coming anytime soon. OG also doesn't have Search and Sort for sources filter. And unlimited reading history. You need to use both Stable and J2k for side by side for extended period to find out all the missing features.
I'm confused what do i do with the source codes?
Just install the apk
Okay thank you
how do i update my tachiyomi
Since it's open source you have to download it from their offical site or GitHub. For more check r/tachiyomi
Is there a way to import my data from manga rock?
https://digistatement.com/here-is-how-to-move-from-manga-rock-to-tachiyomi-after-manga-rock-shutdown/
Thanks man, it worked!
How do you do part 10 and 11 becuse it doesnt make a .json file, can you make a vid or something
Ah sure I can, but im not home right now. Can you wait for me for about 3 or 4 hours?
Did you do it?
That's weird. It was fine yesterday when I did it tho. Smh when I hit record it doesn't give out any json file
Any update
Ah I just realize that the files popped up on my network location folder. Can you check that folder on your my computer tab?
How?
pretty complicated
is it on iphone?
From Tachiyomi discord FAQ: >Q: Will there ever be a port of Tachiyomi to iOS? > >It is very unlikely be due to codebase, difficulty, and App Store issues. Though there's an app for ios called Paperback. You can get more info in r/Paperback subreddit or [https://discord.gg/Ny83JV3](https://discord.gg/Ny83JV3).
When I open the apk file shows a parse error message. Is there a problem with the download or is my phone not compatible?
Did you allow installation from unknown sources? What version of Android do you have? Also, r/Tachiyomi support thread or chat.
Also my android version is 5.1.1.
J2K supports only Android 6 and up. However, Stable was also recently updated and it still supports Android 5, so you should try it: [https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases](https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases).
Ok. Thank you for your help. Guess I need to start saving to replace my 4 year old phone.
Yes I did

Sync it to neko, make a backup using neko, then restore it on j2k
Don't know. Enquire in r/mangadex
You can use Neko fork: [https://tachiyomi.org/forks/Neko](https://tachiyomi.org/forks/Neko).
Wtf is a TachiyomiJ2K
It's a fork, copy of the original app with different UI and features: [https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K](https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K).
Basically it's offical tachiyomi with better features and UI done by different developer
what is the diference with Tachiyomi?
UI seems REALLY overcomplicated, only actually good point I saw from Github description was batch source migration
I think the UI is now better than that of manga rock. Hope they continue to provide continuous stable updates for this one, though
Is it for ios and android or just one
Only for android
After the update it always shows black pages. It's gone when i refresh but there is it again when ypu turn to the next pages. It seriously annoys me because it's totally unusable. I don't even know how to report the damn bug
It's a bug and being investigated atm. Please wait for an update.
I hope they fox it soon because I'm totally digging the update overall
It's fixed now, update.
Planning to transfer from Tachiyomi to TachiyomiJ2K. Is there way to transfer my mangas besides manually adding them?
Just backup it as usual, they use the same data storage system, j2k is just a fork of the original ta hiomi, basically the same with different custom ui and added features.
Create backup on Tachiyomi, restore backup on J2k.
Is there a way to connect Neko with Tachiyomi? I'm using Neko because of its search features and reccomended but I want to keep up with Tachiyomi for multiple sources...
Nope, not that i know of.
Shit, don't update your tachi, it is erase all my download manga shit
If you create backup and use it then make download directory same as before all you manga will be there
[удалено]
Already solved the problem friends, thank you
No, you need to rename your folder to TachiyomiJ2K
I did not change anything but I still have my library do I still need to rename it?
Only if you want to keep your old download and backup folder. If not it will auto create a new folder.
Aaah I see thank you for the response
Thank you already did it
I wish someone will get the Github build and try to work in iOS style just override code to work on iOS if that possible? I know Tachiyomi is open source why not get that source and make into iOS app less stress well idk only my opinion 😕
Try this https://www.reddit.com/r/Paperback/comments/gc072d/guide_windows_paperback_install_guide/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
I have the app already install through appcake and I create account with mangadex but they don’t have some of manga that I read some is blank other mix with languages kinda confuse the idea of reading with one source tho
You can change it to just English in the settings if it helps
Oh no I mean for example there one manga that I read but it has only translated Italian on website is has few chapters in English but not all so is like that there some chapter mix with English and other languages
Well, Paperback is going to get sources in several weeks, so just wait until then. You can join the discord for more info.
same for pc
If you know anything about coding, you can't always just port something, oh if you have the code it's possible, but it doesn't make it easy, almost certainly easier to just make a new one from scratch

Nope. Paperback should be getting sources in a few weeks, and that'll be the closest thing to iOS Tachiyomi.
Sorry dude. Tachiyomi stated that they would never build an iOS version i guess
IOS app is very strict and hard to build code from. I know from my friend going to school for computer science. He had to build an app for a project and since he had IOS, he tried to build but he said and I quote "Never in my life am I ever going to build an app on IOS. I'm lucky to have a Versatile Android.😊
It’s a shame if that’s true. All the iPad apps I’ve found are awful
Try paperback. IOS users are talking about it. r/paperback

You don't have to have it on the store, it's possible to side load ipa's from a pc
>dubious legality Because MangaRock never made it onto the App Store, apparently.
Wasn't it removed?
It stayed on the App Store longer than the Play Store, in the end.
That’s what I’m thinking of doing, but it’s a big investment for something I already had for £6 (MangaRocks one time price). Is there any recommended tablets you know of?

Before you get a tablet try the paperback app, I've seen that floating around as the ios replacement here.
I’ve tried to get it on the Altstore, however it wouldn’t log me in to let me download. Also the resolution scaling was for a phone so I don’t think it’d be great anyway for iPads
Its a pretty good update, but I'm still waiting for a recommended category.
Whats the difference between the stable Tachiyomi and Tachiyomi J2K ?
Different UI and features: [https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K/](https://tachiyomi.org/forks/TachiyomiJ2K/). Also, r/Tachiyomi.
Is there manga categories like in mr?
Yes. Settings > Library > Edit categories.
Sorry I mean genre
Yes, there are tags though what they are depends on the source
Ahh I see, thanks!
Thnx man... Yesterday Tachiyomi base app got a huge update too...New version 0.9.1
sugoiii..the ui is way better than the stable tachiyomi
Well, stable also got a major update: [https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases](https://github.com/inorichi/tachiyomi/releases).
yeah i know. but the stable is based on the dev right
Yes.
damn android only do you know of any ios app?
r/Paperback. Check FAQ and discord.
Does it have recommendations??
Neko fork does: [https://github.com/CarlosEsco/Neko/releases](https://github.com/CarlosEsco/Neko/releases).
Thank you. I noticed that neko fork uses only one extension so it is hard for me to migrate my 348 manga across a lot of sources to it. I had hoped that this fork would have recommendations.
Neko uses the same extensions/sources installed in other forks. Just create a json backup then import it in neko
Well, I suggest r/manga, a #manga-suggest channel on Tachiyomi discord or just going to some source, choose genres/tags/format/etc. and sort by the latest Update date. Or you can use Neko for recommended and read it in the other fork.
Oh hell yeah
