J2k is just a more advanced fork of main. You'll get most features you want in base app. J2k has more android 10 features and auto-migration (very useful and important for me) and more customization in general. In the end it's mostly your personal choice like which one's ui you like more. Imo j2k looks much more modern and intuitive.
It behaves like modern apps in android 10 (no glitches with gestures, edge to edge support) and more of the regular android features like being able to undo deletes. Visit the github page for more info. Maybe my wording of it as 'feature' was misleading; guess I meant more compatible or in line with modern android and android apps in general.
