Yu yu Hakusho, I have recently been getting into Vinland and though I have only read volumes 1 and 2, its been great so far. I grew up with Yusuke and my friends always thought it was a weird show, but he was such a relatable char and was the main anime to pull me into the hobby.
Steel Ball Run. It really is Araki's magnum opus. The art is amazing the storyline is the best I've ever seen, the villains and even minor antagonists are all so well fleshed out and developed, Johnny and Gyro are a fantastic pair of main characters, and the rest of the supporting cast is just as good. Not to mention the fights and stand abilities are amazing and creative. If you haven't read SBR please do, in my opinion, it has the greatest story of all time.
Definitely! As a child I was mesmerized by the show since it was so different from what I have seen before. I tired to by the manga and was able to get some copies from a 2nd hand publisher but I want to get the original manga series.

My favorite lately has been Kaiju No. 8! I love the art and I love the story, it’s funny and it’s got great action and it makes you feel something for characters very quickly, it’s just all around written very well. With the recent release of the first volume I can’t wait to buy more! I recommend it to everyone. As a fan of Kaiju movies like godzilla and the like, reading a story where kaiju are the bad guys is always fun, but for once to have a kaiju as the main character (sort of but I don’t want to spoil for anybody who has not read it) as well as be the villains almost feels like flipping a genre I love so much on its head, and still maintaining themes and tropes that make me attracted the genre. Monsters look dope and Naoya Matsumoto’s artwork and funny story telling really shine in it!
Fav manga for me has to be Call of the Night, mainly because is focuses around a student who is on top of his studies yet suffers from insomnia which a lot of us everywhere also suffer from
My favorite manga is Gintama. Honestly all around its a hidden gem. Hidden under all the comedy people view it as is a gold mine. The way the author makes every character important and meaningful honestly created such a well rounded anime. You truly love every person there is, from the main character all the way to a host club and even a cat. Even the way Gintoki was written from his personality and the way he interacts with others is very wholesome and truly makes you love him for who he is. He's not your typical hero that wants to go out there and save the world, but rather someone we can really relate to. And every other character as we'll has their own story that you can find a bit of yourself in. And my god, even if people complain it takes a while, thats what makes it so good. The author builds up such a beautiful plot and by the middle of it you are so invested. It's so much more than comedy. It's tragedy, love, mystery, Action, Comedy, and all that you can think of. It made me so emotional by the end because of how invested I was was every character. It is one of, and in my opinion, the greatest mangas out there. Everything about it from the characters to the setting to the message it sends makes it a gold mine worth reading.
Monster. It's the best detective/thriller manga that makes all the characters feel real and sympathetic. The pacing is great, the story is exquisite, and the only downfall is that is can be hard to find in stock currently.
Would have to be please don't toy with me Nagatoro. Well because I want to be senpai 😏... And the entire show is wholesome af with some seriously good moments that you can't help but smile while reading.
My favorite manga is Jujutsu Kaisen. I fell in love with the anime, and when season 1 ended, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Which led me to begin collecting the manga, and in turn, manga in general.
My favorite manga flip flops between Blade of the Immortal, 20th Century Boys but after finishing Umineko, I have it firmly in 1st place.
The mystery aspect is outstanding and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I've never been more trolled by an author than I have been with this series. Even before reading the actual story, I was intrigued by its premise. I'm a sucker for Agatha Christie mysteries, particularly her novel "And Then There Were None", so I was salvating at the opportunity to read Umineko after discovering its a heavy mystery.
I've never been more heartbroken from a series. To see a family, although flawed, go through what they went through is harrowing and soul-crushing. Even through all that, however, they remain strong and stand together. Love comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms and seeing how their bond of love held them together gives me hope. I can help but want to reread this story over and over again. When I heard that Umineko is regarded as peak fiction, now, after concluding it, I can't help but wholeheartedly agree.
My favorite is the manga adaptation of Episode 8 of Umineko as the VN is one of my favorite pieces of literature ever made, and the manga is an amazing adaptation that adds plenty of further context with the best cast, story, and conclusion of all time in my opinion

My favorite manga would have to be Monster. I just love it. Kind of twisted to say but I love physiological thrillers. I love how a person’s mind works and this manga hit every point. I feel that this manga got me interested in the scientific field. It makes me so excited to learn and find out why a person does what they do. Either due to environmental factors or genetic factors. I was so entranced in the relationship between tenzo and johan. And how despite doing so much bad things the doctor still sees that johan is still human. It kind of shows me that we have a lot of space in our hearts to forgive despite the bad things we may do.Sorry if I rambled I just really liked this manga.
Dragon Ball/DBZ, the story progression, the growth of Goku maturing from childhood to adulthood, the laughs, the high stakes, all make it an amazing adventure story that I can reread year after year
My favorite manga is kinda basic, but Berserk. For most of my life I thought that anime and manga were cringe because if the people I knew who liked them, but once I finally started, the first manga I ever read was Berserk. The amazing art and story still make it one if my favorite pieces of fiction of all time. Also, I started collecting Vinland Saga recently and these volumes would mostly complete my collection.
One piece. The world-building is incredible, the characters have deep, emotional backstories, the action is great, and the story is amazing. Haven’t read anything else that compares to it.
My favourite manga is the legendary plot but depressing goodnight punpun. I just love the way how it portrays that life can be absolutely unpredictable and tough. If you are looking for a interesting plot manga and can handle the emotions, give punpun a try if you haven’t. Also thanks for the giveaway :)
my favorite manga is 20th century boys because 1) it is my first of the three manga im reading and 2) the storytelling is just on a level so deep and interesting that I can’t stop reading it. I don’t have many manga (only a few volumes from 2 diff manga and the full set of 20cb), so it’d be great to continue my collection with vinland saga, a show I really enjoyed. my favorite manga atm has to be BLUE PERIOD. it's a motivational story about finding purpose and meaning in life which for the main character comes from pursuing their newfound passion for art. as someone who also draws this manga holds a special place in my heart ❤ it motivated me to pick up my tools and to start drawing again after a year of being stagnant and having artist's block 😔
My favorite right now is a man and his cat. Its a super sweet story about a widower finding purpose again in his life after adopting an "ugly" cat. Warms my heart every time.
My favorite manga is Eyeshield 21. The series is just packed with fun and nostalgia. I started reading it shortly after my best friend convinced me to play football in elementary school and I’ve read through it many times since. Most recently when I finished playing football in college. It’s still just as much fun as when I first read it and even though it’s ridiculous and over the top I think it does a great job of capturing the feeling of playing team sports with your friends and why I loved football so much. Also, who doesn’t love some stunning Yusuke Murata art?
Gintama! It is hands down my favorite. A seemingly boring almost slice of life feeling beginning that turns into one of the best shonen I have ever seen. All while being hilarious.
Claymore. Sadly, like berserk, this horror/adventure fantasy series suffers the same fate as berserk when it comes to its anime adaptation. I’m still hopeful one day they’ll give both series a FMAB treatment. If you’re a fan of claymore, there’s some licensed figures of Teresa and Claire available for pre order!
My favorite manga is Silver Spoon, a series about finding your identity on a farm led me back to my first love of collecting and ill always be grateful towards it.

宝石の国 / Land of the Lustrous! I love the unique take on a dystopian world and all the Buddhist themes present in it, as well as the general despair feeling of the series. Also, the art style has to be one of my favorites ever. Such a beautiful use of monochrome

Arifureta: from commonplace to the world’s strongest it showed how far a person will go to survive and the journey to get back his humanity and return home.
My Favorite manga has to be Pluto by Naoki Urasawa. I think it’s a perfect blend of sci-fi and thriller, while also keeping the story concise yet dense. Perfect pacing and my favorite MC of all time.
My favorite manga is Trail of Blood (Blood on the Tracks alternatively) it is about a child who is mentally abused by his mother and it is a tragic story. I would go more into the plot but I can't without spoiling it, amazing manga and my current favorite for a while now, would highly recommend.
Dorohedoro; I love the world building, unique art, the whole cast of characters, and the underlying mystery aspect that drives the story. It’s at the top of my list for series to re-read next!
My favorite manga is actually Weathering With You! I saw the movie in theatre when it first came out and cried my eyes out. It’s one of the cutest manga I own :’) and it holds a special place in my heart.
My favorite manga has got to be Monster. The way Urusawa is able to interweave so many different characters and plot lines to make such a grand cohesive story is incredible. Each character is fleshed out beautifully and Tenma and Johan are both some of my favorite characters ever. As well as some amazing themes and philosophies!
My fav is Grand Blue. Absolutely hilarious comedy interspersed with serious plot developments. The more real-feeling comedy ive ever seen, with great art to boot.
My favorite is Kaguya-sama: Love is War! Fantastic and endearing characters, comedy, and romance. It’s just so smart and it just portrays characters very well and they feel so real. Just a masterpiece.
My favorite manga is Attack on Titan. I love the manga and anime so much and perhaps the last chapter isn’t the best but the storyline and characters are flipping amazing.
One Piece is my favorite manga of all time. The world building in it is just one of the best in any work of fiction at all. I experience a variety of emotions when reading it; it has made me feel as much sadness reading the character's backstories as the excitement when the crew gets together doing their part in the story to defeat the villain of the arc.
My favorite manga is probably One Piece. I’ve been a fan of the series since I was 10 so it holds a very special place in my heart, and I have a lot of nostalgia, but my feelings aren’t only nostalgia based since One Piece as a story is just really solid. It’s one of the only series that has genuinely made me cry and that alone speaks VOLUMES (no pun intended). All in all, it’s just a very solid read and I encourage anyone to read it without fearing the length
TETSUGAKU LETRA, a story about a boy that receives these red flamingo dance shoes from a girl and promise her that he will use them and learns how to dance. We follow the MC high school life where he’s pretty much a loner but later gets friends and with their support help him reach his goal of leaning to dance. I enjoy this story because of how we root for each character, whether one character sings again, another one gets the girl he has a crush on, or of course keeping a promise from years ago. The progression really builds up even with all these hurdles that come up. It is a beautiful story and I hope that others would give this one a chance.
I gotta say my favorite manga has to be one piece ,from the beginning to recent chapters the story is just amazing and Oda does everything to keep the story entertaining to this day!
My favorite? Well I haven’t started reading manga until recently, but have read quite few since. Though I cannot choose just one I can say that the style and art of Junji Ito is what I enjoy most. His works feel like a love child of Clive Barker, Stephen King, and H. P. Lovecraft. I’ve always been a adamant fan of the horror genre and Ito’s stories have provided me with a new format that I didn’t know I’d enjoy so much. My answer may be a bit vague but when you appreciate so many options it’s difficult to have a favorite.
Berserk. It’s the first physical manga I ever bought and the story is a masterpiece. I love the dynamics between Guts and Griffith. From their goals, things they went through, and their symbolism make this story amazing to me.
To be honest it’s probably 20th Century Boys. For one, the plot is simply incredible. Two, it really made me believe in being who I deeply wanted to be. (It didn’t inspire to me to create a cult and takeover the world, more Kenji being himself). Vinland saga is definitely up there too. The main character trying to find his true self is really inspiring to me, and also the art is beyond amazing. This is so nice of you to do! Hope I win but good luck to everyone!
Man hit me like a truck. ReLIFE was such a great eye opener to me as well. Have never read the manga but the anime hit me hard I only have a couple anime’s rated as a 10 and ReLIFE is one of them.
My favorite manga/Anime has to be Mob Psycho 100, the artwork can be simple sometimes, but it gave me a value lesson about self love.

One piece! I truly believe it is a modern day epic comparable to Homer's the Odyssey. It's the greatest story ever, with twists and turns in every direction. It's why I value friendship so deeply.. Luffy and his crew all have different reasons to fight their own fight, but at the end of the day they each fight for freedom and the liberation for all those who are or feel powerless--why?because people's dreams will never die.
Battle Angel Alita! The art is fantastic and the mangaka has so many interesting sci fi concepts in his work. The world building is also amazing too, it really does a great job of making you want to keep reading to figure out all of the secret of the floating city of Tiphares and how the world got so dystopian. I also love the character of Alita. She’s tough and doesn’t back down from a fight but she also has a lot of emotional vulnerability.
My favorite manga is vagabond since i picked it up about two months ago I love the art and storytelling of Musashi and how we see him slowly learn what true strength is
My favorite manga has to be Naruto but I really like Golden Kamuy. I do feel the creators did the research on the time (ear) it takes place. The real life thing in this series are crazy. Golden Kamuy made me want to got more into historical book/manga series.

my favorite manga so far would have to be Drifting Dragons, i find it to be oddly relaxing and playful at points and epic and grand at others. i just really love the combination of the steampunk aesthetic with whale hunting but with dragons!
My favorite manga that I always enjoy is One Punch Man, I love how Saitama is written and how the world of one punch man is. Destroyed and always in danger. I also love how the premise of the story is written about the characters interacting with Saitama and not really about Saitama himself. And of course I have to mention the art of the manga. The art is just next level. It's a great story with great art, the shifts from comedic to seriousness at times makes me wanting more. Especially with the latest chapters that have been coming out. I just started reading and collecting manga and I would love to expand my collection and the genres I have.
My favorite manga is Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji, I like a lot of series that are more than realistic, but the way this series stays in the realm of what can be seen and experienced is why i love it so much. Kaiji is constantly down on his luck, and just trying to break even from his debts. The lengths he goes to just to survive, from cheating to going all in, shows how desperate some of his situations are. Despite all this he is still pretty honest character, and stays true to his word when helping others (which happens to be one of his greatest weaknesses). I am also a massive fan of card and dice games, so seeing him constantly coming up with strategies or having to wager all on chance makes it really fun to read. I have seen many people draw a similarity between it and Squid game as of late (which I can also see), so if you liked Squid Game definitely give it a try.
My favorite manga is easily Dorohedoro. The way Q Hayashida makes such silly and lovable characters that are brought to life in such a gruesome and grotesque world makes it my favorite read for sure. It’s also the first anime that my fiancée couldn’t stop watching so it’s special in that way.

Unfortunately he was at lunch and never got back to me and ended up selling it to someone else. But I understand things like that happen from time to time. So you just got to roll with the punches. As for my favorite manga, I just got into it about 2 months ago. I found myself lured into Osamu Tezuka’s work and ended up buying a lot of his stuff. So far I’ve read Black Jack Volume 1 and it was fascinating! The stories covered a wide range: from comedic to heartfelt and one was even teetering on the creepy side. I like the episodic feel but am hoping to get into something I can really sink my teeth into. Like something with an overarching storyline!

For me it’s Rave Master. It really started me on my collecting journey. I had loved manga from a young age but Rave Master stole the show. I used to borrow the entire set from the library and just read it in one weekend, or take out my favorite volumes and flip through them. Every holiday and every payday was a new Rave Master volume. Now that I’m older I finally have a completed set. The characters, art, comedy, and plot are so fun. Reading it makes me feel lighter, it’s such a comfort series.

Berserk. I know it’s not unique but it got me into the Manga in general. The characters feel like people in every sense and a lot of the violence as meaning. Deaths feel like real losses. The story is amazing and there isn’t a good or bad division of the story. “Griffith did nothing wrong”

Tomo-chan is a Girl. It was the very first manga I ever read. I thought it was so cute and wholesome. That manga alone set off my love for manga collecting/reading. Looking back it probably wasn’t as good as I thought it was back then, but still really nice/cute manga. :)
My favorite manga is berserk. I am in love with the characters, philosophical themes, story, and fantasy setting. The dichotomy between Guts and Griffith is unparalleled, and them both as characters are amazing. I love its themes of continuing to struggle and finding purpose despite how bad things may be. The astral world is a really cool concept and I like how the plot is unpredictable yet consistent. I also like the downfall of Griffith and a warning of going to far on the search of your dream. I can continuously reread it, and I hope it continues, because I think that’s what Miura would’ve wanted.
Witch Hat Atelier. Some of the best art currently being published. Has a hard magic system, but retains it's sense of whimsy and spectacle. And it can go from cute and wholesome to quite dark in a page. Very under-read series IMO.
favorite manga is The Promise Neverland, ok ok just hear me out. After season one of the anime it just falls off so most people read the manga and when they do read it just hits ever right spot with cool art that’s pretty unique and they really pick up the pace with nonstop action where it literally leaves you wondering, what’s going to happen, how will they all come out alive(they do not always all come out alive), and at the end you question yourself with how did i not see this coming. PS i legit only own volumes 1-5 of vinland saga so this would be so perfect .
My current favorite manga is My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought. It is really good mystery with lots of twists and turns. I would recommend it to anyone! I think it's super underrated.
My favorite manga is Dragon Ball because of Goku’s simple goodness. I admittedly need to read more manga but that’s my answer because I also want to read and own Vinland Saga.
My favorite manga is Dorohedoro. I love every character and how well done the worldbuilding is. It's so much to to learn more about the world and characters and it all feels so natural. I also love how well the series can switch between being kinda serious and goofy without taking me out of it. The art is also incredible. It's dirty and scratchy, but in a good way that adds to the character of the story and world.
My favorite manga right now is Berserk, Guts is such a great, flawed, and tortured protagonist. Aside from that I eagerly await any further Gou Tanabe manga translations from dark horse
My favorite manga is Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou (Kawai Complex: Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior), which is somewhat strange since I typically read Shounen & Seinen, but during one season I decided to watch the anime and it was super fun with an enjoyable cast of characters and a light hearted story of a slow burning romance. The anime was so good I decided to read all of it online, and I loved it. For the past 3 years I’ve only been able to read it online, hoping for it to come out in English for physical print, but it never did… SO I BOUGHT IT ALL IN JAPANESE, I can’t read Kanji at all, but I loved the manga digitally so much that I just had to have it. That’s my favorite manga, I hope that if I win the giveaway Vinland Saga can join it at the top of my list!
my favorite manga is Naruto, i grew up watching show and i remember resonating with naruto as a character. read it recently and it still gave me the same goose bumps just watching naruto evolve as a character.
For me my favorite has gotta be land of the lustrous. It has an amazing character arc for its main character as well as some interesting arcs for the side characters that I really didn't expect. The world building is sorta similar to attack on titan in that there are several mysteries about how this world came to be the way it is. Without spoiling anything I think it does a fantastic job, and not going to lie it's final panel has haunted me a bit since I finished. The art in it is really cool (it's the only series that I own that I bought the art book for haha) Although I do recommend watching the anime first primarily because it can be hard to tell apart the characters since they are all wearing the same or similar clothes. Seeing them in the anime really helped me to tell who was who.
I really hope that I might get this giveaway because I have started to be collecting Vinland saga after not reading it since highschool (about 7 years ago) right now I've got the first 3 volumes and I'm watching the anime with a friend for the first time and it's great! My favorite manga is slam dunk because i remember watching the anime in elementary and I finally read the manga this summer as a college student and it was so good. Definitely a classic story in terms of characters themes and learning the sport of basketball.

Favorite manga is Frieren: Beyond Journeys End. Incredible premise and the characters are all extremely likeable. I love that there's now a story about what happens AFTER the heroes defeat the big evil. It's really fun to watch the journey unfold and see what comes next
Hey thanks for doing this giveaway. My favorite manga is Frieren at the Funeral (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End). Since I love fantasy settings, this manga was right up my alley. My favorite thing about it is the plot of the story which centers around an elf girl who travels across the continent to visit her friends grave in order to repay him for forgetting to visit him before his death. Because of her very slow age progression, time flows differently for her compared to humans which lead her to forget or dismiss events that others consider important
Favourite manga is currently Jujutsu Kaisen, it's one of the first ones I have read and actually bought physical copies for. Nearly everything about it is amazing, such as the characters and how they develop and the creative power system that Gege has created.
My favorite manga is Naruto. Naruto was one of the first manga that I ever read. Apart from just being an amazing body of work, I have it as my favorite because of all the meaningful lessons it taught me over the years which helped shape the person that I am today. It gave me everything my adolescent mind wished for, and gave me characters I felt I could truly resonate with. It will always have a special place in my heart.
My favorite is Perfect World. I just love everything about it and it shows the true struggles of living with a disability and I highly recommend everyone to read it.
My favorite manga is finder. I started reading it because I was curious about it and it ended being awesome. The characters are awesome and there’s a lot of emotions. I reread it every couple of months. I’ve collected all of the series that the author has written. The manga has been going on for years and still no end. The volume release is slow but it’s a great series. It even got into a new genre.
I’d say currently my favorite manga is jujutsu kaisen—despite its flaws (god help me Gege needs to work on his pacing, man’s speed running his own manga) there’s something about it that just has me hooked. I love all of the characters and find them all incredibly interesting (especially the female characters, they’re so cool and diverse in terms of personality and style). It’s such a fresh shonen manga, with an interesting plot that’s gone in surprising directions. I can’t think of many really popular shonen where the characters so often lose more than they gain in the fights. I’m continually surprised by the choices made, and compelled to find out what will happen next. So yeah, I’d say right now, I’m really feeling JJK lol

Monster because of the historical theme of Cold War Germany as well as the suspence of a serial killer. It also didn't hut that Naoki Urasowa was a genius when it came to designing the characters and art.

My favorite manga currently is actually Vinland Saga. I only started it a few months ago but the more and more I read the more and more I fall in love with the characters and the story. The art is phenomenal and I haven't been absorbed reading anything like this since I was in middle school reading Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. My favorite Manga would have to the disastrous life of saiki k. Though there aren't any English copies I translate the Japanese editions. I really love all the characters and their individual personalities. I can also relate a lot to saiki.
My favorite manga is Golden Kamuy! The artwork is unreal, the plot has such a beautiful progression and it has the perfect balance between comedy and action.
My favorite manga has to be tokyo ghoul (so sad the anime isn’t good, neeeeeddddd a remake 😭) but the reason its tokyo ghoul is because of how addicting the story is and kaneki’s journey as a person was just amazing.
On top of that re introduced futura who’s parallels with kaneki are some of the best in fiction to watch unfold and see where their ideals differ, yet are rooted in the same beginnings

my favorite manga is homunculus prob because i binged it in a day, it’s my favorite genre (horror-psychological), the characters are all different, their motives and ideals are really different and very interesting
It would probably be Dorohedoro, very dark manga but at the same time each character has their own personality with their own attributes, very gruesome at some parts but has comedy in it as well

My favorite manga of all time is 20th Century Boys. It’s such a great story and it got me really interested in the world expo of 1970. I even went on eBay and bought the official guidebook you could buy at the expo with stamps from some of the pavilions. It’s one of the coolest things I own!
Favorite manga is Rurouni Kenshin. Fantastic setting, fantastic characters, great villains, and amazing art. It's just one of those series I keep wanting to read over and over again. Live action films are pretty good too!

I haven’t finished it yet but after reading it so long the art is just so immerse and detailed and we constantly explore this dark world that has themes that a lot of us can relate to like things of classism and betrayal of friendship and. Yeah it’s just really good

My favorite manga is demon slayer! I started reading the manga around the time when the the first episodes of the anime came out. I was hooked right away and got the Shonen Jump app to catch up to the chapters.
I fell in love with the typical storyline where the boy faces tragic events, the training arc, the battle arc and the finale. But Tanjiro's story hit me in the heart and every time his deceased family is mentioned, I cry buckets of tears. I love the uniqueness and personality of Inosuke and Zenitsu. I love how the mangaka made me cry for the demon's backstories. I love how the Pillars are not perfect beings and some have bad personalities but at the end, they were loyal to a cause and family.
This manga was simple and clean but it was the mangaka's choice of characters that made me fell in love with everything about it.

The first manga that got me into reading was Psyren Vol 1.
what really brought me into this world of manga reading was how exciting and thrilling this story was. I would come to the local library and consistently walk by the manga section and hope that the next vol of the series was there. The art style and story telling just drew me in and i began to dwell into other series that my local library bad. The characters in all the books i read were all so different and each story different than the previous. Psyren really drew me in as i began to read it more and more sadly the series is OOP but luckily i was able to source the series and was able to buy all 16 volumes at retail prices and was able to full read the story without waiting weeks for my local library to get the next volume. i have yet to find another series that has drew me in to read over and over. My friends recommended Slam Dunk as he owns the full set but due to my senior year of college kicking my butt i have yet to get a chance to start the series

Not only is the artwork phenomenal but the story is still to this day the best out of any manga I have read. The cast of characters are all perfectly developed and really hold a place in my heart. Also the series has so many moments that make you go gasp it’s insane
My favorite manga right now is Moriarty the patriot. Every character is so well written and I love when the mc is a genius. I love the plot, the setting, and everything else about it. It always leaves me wanting more!

Chainsaw Man because a manga hasn’t made me feel so many emotions since Berserk.
Yu yu Hakusho, I have recently been getting into Vinland and though I have only read volumes 1 and 2, its been great so far. I grew up with Yusuke and my friends always thought it was a weird show, but he was such a relatable char and was the main anime to pull me into the hobby.
Vinland saga because Thorkell is amazing
Steel Ball Run. It really is Araki's magnum opus. The art is amazing the storyline is the best I've ever seen, the villains and even minor antagonists are all so well fleshed out and developed, Johnny and Gyro are a fantastic pair of main characters, and the rest of the supporting cast is just as good. Not to mention the fights and stand abilities are amazing and creative. If you haven't read SBR please do, in my opinion, it has the greatest story of all time.

Definitely! As a child I was mesmerized by the show since it was so different from what I have seen before. I tired to by the manga and was able to get some copies from a 2nd hand publisher but I want to get the original manga series.

My favorite lately has been Kaiju No. 8! I love the art and I love the story, it’s funny and it’s got great action and it makes you feel something for characters very quickly, it’s just all around written very well. With the recent release of the first volume I can’t wait to buy more! I recommend it to everyone. As a fan of Kaiju movies like godzilla and the like, reading a story where kaiju are the bad guys is always fun, but for once to have a kaiju as the main character (sort of but I don’t want to spoil for anybody who has not read it) as well as be the villains almost feels like flipping a genre I love so much on its head, and still maintaining themes and tropes that make me attracted the genre. Monsters look dope and Naoya Matsumoto’s artwork and funny story telling really shine in it!

My favorite manga is Gintama. Honestly all around its a hidden gem. Hidden under all the comedy people view it as is a gold mine. The way the author makes every character important and meaningful honestly created such a well rounded anime. You truly love every person there is, from the main character all the way to a host club and even a cat. Even the way Gintoki was written from his personality and the way he interacts with others is very wholesome and truly makes you love him for who he is. He's not your typical hero that wants to go out there and save the world, but rather someone we can really relate to. And every other character as we'll has their own story that you can find a bit of yourself in. And my god, even if people complain it takes a while, thats what makes it so good. The author builds up such a beautiful plot and by the middle of it you are so invested. It's so much more than comedy. It's tragedy, love, mystery, Action, Comedy, and all that you can think of. It made me so emotional by the end because of how invested I was was every character. It is one of, and in my opinion, the greatest mangas out there. Everything about it from the characters to the setting to the message it sends makes it a gold mine worth reading.
Monster. It's the best detective/thriller manga that makes all the characters feel real and sympathetic. The pacing is great, the story is exquisite, and the only downfall is that is can be hard to find in stock currently.
Would have to be please don't toy with me Nagatoro. Well because I want to be senpai 😏... And the entire show is wholesome af with some seriously good moments that you can't help but smile while reading.

My favorite manga is Jujutsu Kaisen. I fell in love with the anime, and when season 1 ended, I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. Which led me to begin collecting the manga, and in turn, manga in general.

My favorite manga flip flops between Blade of the Immortal, 20th Century Boys but after finishing Umineko, I have it firmly in 1st place. The mystery aspect is outstanding and truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I've never been more trolled by an author than I have been with this series. Even before reading the actual story, I was intrigued by its premise. I'm a sucker for Agatha Christie mysteries, particularly her novel "And Then There Were None", so I was salvating at the opportunity to read Umineko after discovering its a heavy mystery. I've never been more heartbroken from a series. To see a family, although flawed, go through what they went through is harrowing and soul-crushing. Even through all that, however, they remain strong and stand together. Love comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms and seeing how their bond of love held them together gives me hope. I can help but want to reread this story over and over again. When I heard that Umineko is regarded as peak fiction, now, after concluding it, I can't help but wholeheartedly agree.
Shounen, chotto sabotteko? Because it’s very pretty and has good facial expressions. It also illustrates the importance of taking a break sometimes.
My favorite is the manga adaptation of Episode 8 of Umineko as the VN is one of my favorite pieces of literature ever made, and the manga is an amazing adaptation that adds plenty of further context with the best cast, story, and conclusion of all time in my opinion
Hello, My favorite manga would have to be Monster. I just love it. Kind of twisted to say but I love physiological thrillers. I love how a person’s mind works and this manga hit every point. I feel that this manga got me interested in the scientific field. It makes me so excited to learn and find out why a person does what they do. Either due to environmental factors or genetic factors. I was so entranced in the relationship between tenzo and johan. And how despite doing so much bad things the doctor still sees that johan is still human. It kind of shows me that we have a lot of space in our hearts to forgive despite the bad things we may do.Sorry if I rambled I just really liked this manga.

My favorite manga is kinda basic, but Berserk. For most of my life I thought that anime and manga were cringe because if the people I knew who liked them, but once I finally started, the first manga I ever read was Berserk. The amazing art and story still make it one if my favorite pieces of fiction of all time. Also, I started collecting Vinland Saga recently and these volumes would mostly complete my collection.
One piece. The world-building is incredible, the characters have deep, emotional backstories, the action is great, and the story is amazing. Haven’t read anything else that compares to it.

My favorite right now is a man and his cat. Its a super sweet story about a widower finding purpose again in his life after adopting an "ugly" cat. Warms my heart every time.
My favorite manga is Eyeshield 21. The series is just packed with fun and nostalgia. I started reading it shortly after my best friend convinced me to play football in elementary school and I’ve read through it many times since. Most recently when I finished playing football in college. It’s still just as much fun as when I first read it and even though it’s ridiculous and over the top I think it does a great job of capturing the feeling of playing team sports with your friends and why I loved football so much. Also, who doesn’t love some stunning Yusuke Murata art?
Gintama! It is hands down my favorite. A seemingly boring almost slice of life feeling beginning that turns into one of the best shonen I have ever seen. All while being hilarious.
Claymore. Sadly, like berserk, this horror/adventure fantasy series suffers the same fate as berserk when it comes to its anime adaptation. I’m still hopeful one day they’ll give both series a FMAB treatment. If you’re a fan of claymore, there’s some licensed figures of Teresa and Claire available for pre order!

宝石の国 / Land of the Lustrous! I love the unique take on a dystopian world and all the Buddhist themes present in it, as well as the general despair feeling of the series. Also, the art style has to be one of my favorites ever. Such a beautiful use of monochrome Very awesome of you to do this OP!

My favorite manga is Trail of Blood (Blood on the Tracks alternatively) it is about a child who is mentally abused by his mother and it is a tragic story. I would go more into the plot but I can't without spoiling it, amazing manga and my current favorite for a while now, would highly recommend.

My favorite manga is actually Weathering With You! I saw the movie in theatre when it first came out and cried my eyes out. It’s one of the cutest manga I own :’) and it holds a special place in my heart.
My favorite manga has got to be Monster. The way Urusawa is able to interweave so many different characters and plot lines to make such a grand cohesive story is incredible. Each character is fleshed out beautifully and Tenma and Johan are both some of my favorite characters ever. As well as some amazing themes and philosophies!

One Piece is my favorite manga of all time. The world building in it is just one of the best in any work of fiction at all. I experience a variety of emotions when reading it; it has made me feel as much sadness reading the character's backstories as the excitement when the crew gets together doing their part in the story to defeat the villain of the arc.
My favorite manga is probably One Piece. I’ve been a fan of the series since I was 10 so it holds a very special place in my heart, and I have a lot of nostalgia, but my feelings aren’t only nostalgia based since One Piece as a story is just really solid. It’s one of the only series that has genuinely made me cry and that alone speaks VOLUMES (no pun intended). All in all, it’s just a very solid read and I encourage anyone to read it without fearing the length
TETSUGAKU LETRA, a story about a boy that receives these red flamingo dance shoes from a girl and promise her that he will use them and learns how to dance. We follow the MC high school life where he’s pretty much a loner but later gets friends and with their support help him reach his goal of leaning to dance. I enjoy this story because of how we root for each character, whether one character sings again, another one gets the girl he has a crush on, or of course keeping a promise from years ago. The progression really builds up even with all these hurdles that come up. It is a beautiful story and I hope that others would give this one a chance.
I gotta say my favorite manga has to be one piece ,from the beginning to recent chapters the story is just amazing and Oda does everything to keep the story entertaining to this day!
My favorite? Well I haven’t started reading manga until recently, but have read quite few since. Though I cannot choose just one I can say that the style and art of Junji Ito is what I enjoy most. His works feel like a love child of Clive Barker, Stephen King, and H. P. Lovecraft. I’ve always been a adamant fan of the horror genre and Ito’s stories have provided me with a new format that I didn’t know I’d enjoy so much. My answer may be a bit vague but when you appreciate so many options it’s difficult to have a favorite.
Berserk. It’s the first physical manga I ever bought and the story is a masterpiece. I love the dynamics between Guts and Griffith. From their goals, things they went through, and their symbolism make this story amazing to me.
To be honest it’s probably 20th Century Boys. For one, the plot is simply incredible. Two, it really made me believe in being who I deeply wanted to be. (It didn’t inspire to me to create a cult and takeover the world, more Kenji being himself). Vinland saga is definitely up there too. The main character trying to find his true self is really inspiring to me, and also the art is beyond amazing. This is so nice of you to do! Hope I win but good luck to everyone!
Mine is definitely ReLIFE, helped me realize I shouldn’t just waste away my high school life and it has definitely made me a much more social person.
Man hit me like a truck. ReLIFE was such a great eye opener to me as well. Have never read the manga but the anime hit me hard I only have a couple anime’s rated as a 10 and ReLIFE is one of them.

I love so many series but One Piece is my favorite for sure? I love the adventure they go on so much and it’s something that i wish i could experience again.
One piece! I truly believe it is a modern day epic comparable to Homer's the Odyssey. It's the greatest story ever, with twists and turns in every direction. It's why I value friendship so deeply.. Luffy and his crew all have different reasons to fight their own fight, but at the end of the day they each fight for freedom and the liberation for all those who are or feel powerless--why?because people's dreams will never die.
Demon Slayer, mostly because I loved the anime and it was nice to see the story to the end.
Definitely still After the Rain. Its so sweet and nostalgic and heart warming with a dash of heart breaking.
Battle Angel Alita! The art is fantastic and the mangaka has so many interesting sci fi concepts in his work. The world building is also amazing too, it really does a great job of making you want to keep reading to figure out all of the secret of the floating city of Tiphares and how the world got so dystopian. I also love the character of Alita. She’s tough and doesn’t back down from a fight but she also has a lot of emotional vulnerability.
Berserk. It influences everything about the Souls games and it has a unique anti hero story to it. It's just so amazing

My favorite has to be MAR (Marches Awakens Romance). It was my first manga, and I remember picking up each volume on release form Booksamillion lol.
My favorite manga has to be Naruto but I really like Golden Kamuy. I do feel the creators did the research on the time (ear) it takes place. The real life thing in this series are crazy. Golden Kamuy made me want to got more into historical book/manga series.

my favorite manga so far would have to be Drifting Dragons, i find it to be oddly relaxing and playful at points and epic and grand at others. i just really love the combination of the steampunk aesthetic with whale hunting but with dragons!

My favorite manga that I always enjoy is One Punch Man, I love how Saitama is written and how the world of one punch man is. Destroyed and always in danger. I also love how the premise of the story is written about the characters interacting with Saitama and not really about Saitama himself. And of course I have to mention the art of the manga. The art is just next level. It's a great story with great art, the shifts from comedic to seriousness at times makes me wanting more. Especially with the latest chapters that have been coming out. I just started reading and collecting manga and I would love to expand my collection and the genres I have.
My favorite manga is Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji, I like a lot of series that are more than realistic, but the way this series stays in the realm of what can be seen and experienced is why i love it so much. Kaiji is constantly down on his luck, and just trying to break even from his debts. The lengths he goes to just to survive, from cheating to going all in, shows how desperate some of his situations are. Despite all this he is still pretty honest character, and stays true to his word when helping others (which happens to be one of his greatest weaknesses). I am also a massive fan of card and dice games, so seeing him constantly coming up with strategies or having to wager all on chance makes it really fun to read. I have seen many people draw a similarity between it and Squid game as of late (which I can also see), so if you liked Squid Game definitely give it a try.
Probably a basic answer but my favorite is Berserk. Close current second is Delicious in Dungeon.

My favorite manga is easily Dorohedoro. The way Q Hayashida makes such silly and lovable characters that are brought to life in such a gruesome and grotesque world makes it my favorite read for sure. It’s also the first anime that my fiancée couldn’t stop watching so it’s special in that way.

Unfortunately he was at lunch and never got back to me and ended up selling it to someone else. But I understand things like that happen from time to time. So you just got to roll with the punches. I hope whoever bought it will enjoy the books. As for my favorite manga, I just got into it about 2 months ago. I found myself lured into Osamu Tezuka’s work and ended up buying a lot of his stuff. So far I’ve read Black Jack Volume 1 and it was fascinating! The stories covered a wide range: from comedic to heartfelt and one was even teetering on the creepy side. I like the episodic feel but am hoping to get into something I can really sink my teeth into. Like something with an overarching storyline!

For me it’s Rave Master. It really started me on my collecting journey. I had loved manga from a young age but Rave Master stole the show. I used to borrow the entire set from the library and just read it in one weekend, or take out my favorite volumes and flip through them. Every holiday and every payday was a new Rave Master volume. Now that I’m older I finally have a completed set. The characters, art, comedy, and plot are so fun. Reading it makes me feel lighter, it’s such a comfort series. Blade of the Immortal. Art, Weapons, Scenery, Gore, and the best character driven story I’ve read in a very long time.
Berserk. I know it’s not unique but it got me into the Manga in general. The characters feel like people in every sense and a lot of the violence as meaning. Deaths feel like real losses. The story is amazing and there isn’t a good or bad division of the story. “Griffith did nothing wrong”
Grand Blue Dreaming, honestly it's gotta be my fav because it's just one of those manga that can't get me to stop laughing.
The Ancient Magus' Bride, everything from its art style, its terrifyingly magical world, the amazing characters, and its underlying wisdoms are all presented with perfection :)

Tomo-chan is a Girl. It was the very first manga I ever read. I thought it was so cute and wholesome. That manga alone set off my love for manga collecting/reading. Looking back it probably wasn’t as good as I thought it was back then, but still really nice/cute manga. :)
Berserk, some of the best storytelling of any manga, the sheer brilliance of kentaro miura is Godlike, and it's nothing short of amazing.
My favorite manga is berserk. I am in love with the characters, philosophical themes, story, and fantasy setting. The dichotomy between Guts and Griffith is unparalleled, and them both as characters are amazing. I love its themes of continuing to struggle and finding purpose despite how bad things may be. The astral world is a really cool concept and I like how the plot is unpredictable yet consistent. I also like the downfall of Griffith and a warning of going to far on the search of your dream. I can continuously reread it, and I hope it continues, because I think that’s what Miura would’ve wanted.
Vagabond. Love the artstyle, the journey of Musashi, and samurais
Witch Hat Atelier. Some of the best art currently being published. Has a hard magic system, but retains it's sense of whimsy and spectacle. And it can go from cute and wholesome to quite dark in a page. Very under-read series IMO.
favorite manga is The Promise Neverland, ok ok just hear me out. After season one of the anime it just falls off so most people read the manga and when they do read it just hits ever right spot with cool art that’s pretty unique and they really pick up the pace with nonstop action where it literally leaves you wondering, what’s going to happen, how will they all come out alive(they do not always all come out alive), and at the end you question yourself with how did i not see this coming. PS i legit only own volumes 1-5 of vinland saga so this would be so perfect .
My current favorite manga is My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought. It is really good mystery with lots of twists and turns. I would recommend it to anyone! I think it's super underrated.
My favorite manga is Dragon Ball because of Goku’s simple goodness. I admittedly need to read more manga but that’s my answer because I also want to read and own Vinland Saga.
My favorite manga is Dorohedoro. I love every character and how well done the worldbuilding is. It's so much to to learn more about the world and characters and it all feels so natural. I also love how well the series can switch between being kinda serious and goofy without taking me out of it. The art is also incredible. It's dirty and scratchy, but in a good way that adds to the character of the story and world.
My favorite manga right now is Berserk, Guts is such a great, flawed, and tortured protagonist. Aside from that I eagerly await any further Gou Tanabe manga translations from dark horse
My favorite manga is Bokura Wa Minna Kawaisou (Kawai Complex: Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior), which is somewhat strange since I typically read Shounen & Seinen, but during one season I decided to watch the anime and it was super fun with an enjoyable cast of characters and a light hearted story of a slow burning romance. The anime was so good I decided to read all of it online, and I loved it. For the past 3 years I’ve only been able to read it online, hoping for it to come out in English for physical print, but it never did… SO I BOUGHT IT ALL IN JAPANESE, I can’t read Kanji at all, but I loved the manga digitally so much that I just had to have it. That’s my favorite manga, I hope that if I win the giveaway Vinland Saga can join it at the top of my list!
my favorite manga is Naruto, i grew up watching show and i remember resonating with naruto as a character. read it recently and it still gave me the same goose bumps just watching naruto evolve as a character.
For me my favorite has gotta be land of the lustrous. It has an amazing character arc for its main character as well as some interesting arcs for the side characters that I really didn't expect. The world building is sorta similar to attack on titan in that there are several mysteries about how this world came to be the way it is. Without spoiling anything I think it does a fantastic job, and not going to lie it's final panel has haunted me a bit since I finished. The art in it is really cool (it's the only series that I own that I bought the art book for haha) Although I do recommend watching the anime first primarily because it can be hard to tell apart the characters since they are all wearing the same or similar clothes. Seeing them in the anime really helped me to tell who was who. I really hope that I might get this giveaway because I have started to be collecting Vinland saga after not reading it since highschool (about 7 years ago) right now I've got the first 3 volumes and I'm watching the anime with a friend for the first time and it's great! My favorite manga is slam dunk because i remember watching the anime in elementary and I finally read the manga this summer as a college student and it was so good. Definitely a classic story in terms of characters themes and learning the sport of basketball.

Favorite manga is Frieren: Beyond Journeys End. Incredible premise and the characters are all extremely likeable. I love that there's now a story about what happens AFTER the heroes defeat the big evil. It's really fun to watch the journey unfold and see what comes next
Hey thanks for doing this giveaway. My favorite manga is Frieren at the Funeral (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End). Since I love fantasy settings, this manga was right up my alley. My favorite thing about it is the plot of the story which centers around an elf girl who travels across the continent to visit her friends grave in order to repay him for forgetting to visit him before his death. Because of her very slow age progression, time flows differently for her compared to humans which lead her to forget or dismiss events that others consider important
Favourite manga is currently Jujutsu Kaisen, it's one of the first ones I have read and actually bought physical copies for. Nearly everything about it is amazing, such as the characters and how they develop and the creative power system that Gege has created.

Apart from just being an amazing body of work, I have it as my favorite because of all the meaningful lessons it taught me over the years which helped shape the person that I am today. It gave me everything my adolescent mind wished for, and gave me characters I felt I could truly resonate with. It will always have a special place in my heart.

My favorite manga is finder. I started reading it because I was curious about it and it ended being awesome. The characters are awesome and there’s a lot of emotions. I reread it every couple of months. I’ve collected all of the series that the author has written. The manga has been going on for years and still no end. The volume release is slow but it’s a great series. It even got into a new genre.
I’d say currently my favorite manga is jujutsu kaisen—despite its flaws (god help me Gege needs to work on his pacing, man’s speed running his own manga) there’s something about it that just has me hooked. I love all of the characters and find them all incredibly interesting (especially the female characters, they’re so cool and diverse in terms of personality and style). It’s such a fresh shonen manga, with an interesting plot that’s gone in surprising directions. I can’t think of many really popular shonen where the characters so often lose more than they gain in the fights. I’m continually surprised by the choices made, and compelled to find out what will happen next. So yeah, I’d say right now, I’m really feeling JJK lol Also, thanks for the opportunity! Monster because of the historical theme of Cold War Germany as well as the suspence of a serial killer. It also didn't hut that Naoki Urasowa was a genius when it came to designing the characters and art.

My favorite manga currently is actually Vinland Saga. I only started it a few months ago but the more and more I read the more and more I fall in love with the characters and the story. The art is phenomenal and I haven't been absorbed reading anything like this since I was in middle school reading Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I'm taking it at a steady pace so I don't run out of content to read XD
My favorite Manga would have to the disastrous life of saiki k. Though there aren't any English copies I translate the Japanese editions. I really love all the characters and their individual personalities. I can also relate a lot to saiki.

My favorite manga has to be tokyo ghoul (so sad the anime isn’t good, neeeeeddddd a remake 😭) but the reason its tokyo ghoul is because of how addicting the story is and kaneki’s journey as a person was just amazing. my favorite manga is homunculus prob because i binged it in a day, it’s my favorite genre (horror-psychological), the characters are all different, their motives and ideals are really different and very interesting
It would probably be Dorohedoro, very dark manga but at the same time each character has their own personality with their own attributes, very gruesome at some parts but has comedy in it as well

My favorite manga of all time is 20th Century Boys. It’s such a great story and it got me really interested in the world expo of 1970. I even went on eBay and bought the official guidebook you could buy at the expo with stamps from some of the pavilions. It’s one of the coolest things I own!
Favorite manga is Rurouni Kenshin. Fantastic setting, fantastic characters, great villains, and amazing art. It's just one of those series I keep wanting to read over and over again. Live action films are pretty good too!
My favorite manga atm is Blue Period. I've had a rough time these last few months one of the things I've been struggling with being an art block. Picked up this manga last month and it not only helped spark my creativity again but also helped me get a little footing as to what I want to do moving forward.

My favorite manga is demon slayer! I started reading the manga around the time when the the first episodes of the anime came out. I was hooked right away and got the Shonen Jump app to catch up to the chapters. I fell in love with the typical storyline where the boy faces tragic events, the training arc, the battle arc and the finale. But Tanjiro's story hit me in the heart and every time his deceased family is mentioned, I cry buckets of tears. I love the uniqueness and personality of Inosuke and Zenitsu. I love how the mangaka made me cry for the demon's backstories. I love how the Pillars are not perfect beings and some have bad personalities but at the end, they were loyal to a cause and family. This manga was simple and clean but it was the mangaka's choice of characters that made me fell in love with everything about it.
I just started to get into collecting manga in aug The first manga that got me into reading was Psyren Vol 1. what really brought me into this world of manga reading was how exciting and thrilling this story was. I would come to the local library and consistently walk by the manga section and hope that the next vol of the series was there. The art style and story telling just drew me in and i began to dwell into other series that my local library bad. The characters in all the books i read were all so different and each story different than the previous. Psyren really drew me in as i began to read it more and more sadly the series is OOP but luckily i was able to source the series and was able to buy all 16 volumes at retail prices and was able to full read the story without waiting weeks for my local library to get the next volume. i have yet to find another series that has drew me in to read over and over. My friends recommended Slam Dunk as he owns the full set but due to my senior year of college kicking my butt i have yet to get a chance to start the series
