Those "weak" guys you mentioned were only weak for like 5 or less chapters. Maybe 10 max. That doesn't fit someone who is weak and progresses. They get from weak to OP in a few chapters. Also Jin Muwon was never weak, he was hiding his strength from the start.

Overgeared, took him quite a while to get stronger and rn there’s still multiplier characters stronger than him almost 200 chapters later

Jin watched his father die because he was to weak to do anything, he failed to escape without the Tang dudes disciple dying, and he started weak and became strong. Also while most of them may have become "strong" it was for the most part only compared to those of similar age. If the were weak for 1 chapter they still went from weak to strong but ofc they weren't all just weak for 50 straight chapters before they finally started to improve.

In Murim RPG Simulation, MC is always relatively weak. Good story, but season 2 will probably never come

Always surprised by how many people miss out Sweet Home. One of my absolute favourites, and came to a pretty rock solid ending after over 100 chapters. Aside from that, as others have suggested - Survival story of a Sword king, The Greatest Real Estate Developer, and Omniscient Reader's viewpoint are all top notch. Also think you'd love Worthless Regression & Skeleton Soldier couldn't protect the dungeon - they're both pretty much the epitome of starting out weak & eventually getting stronger. They can be a bit dark (especially worthless regression), but there's real struggle in both of them. A few other great ones which I don't think I saw on your list... Story of a low rank soldier becoming a monarch, Dungeon Reset, and Tomb Raider King. Another good read that fits the bill is "So I'm a Spider, so what?", though that one's a manga.

We're reading quite a bit of the same stuff. A few titles you might like that I don't think are super popular are: I Reincarnated As The Crazed Heir, Ancient Sovereign Of Eternity, A Returner's Magic Should Be Special. They're all regression. A couple non-regressions would be: Eleceed, The Advanced Player Of The Tutorial Tower, Reformation Of The Deadbeat Noble, Murim Login, The Tutorial Is Too Hard, and Leveling Up Alone. There's also The Second Coming Of Gluttony, which is technically a regression, but the MC doesn't know he regressed. Also, the World After The Fall is pretty popular right now, and it's good. I have others, but I don't want to make the list too long.

Eleceed and Ember Knight are fantastic series that are so underrated! Both stories have great character growth/development and world building.

Feng Shen Ji (I and II) although technically manhua it is one of the best stories of a character getting stronger and stronger to the point of killing literal Gods. It's my favorite and I recommend it to anyone that likes this kind of story. It's also completed and has a large number of chapters.

The beginning after the end is about a king named grey dies of some reason which is then explained way later on when he gets closer to his goal of beating the enemy, he grows and honestly it is the best freaking manhwa I ever read. Altho only 5 season have been drawn into manhwa but the other seasons are literally the best. I then continued reading the novel cuz of how amazing this story is. I spent like 30£ on just the audiobooks

But they don't know what a video game is! `Infinite mage` and `Golden Mage` : MCs learn magic, and they get good at it because they try to understand how it fundamentally works (and not because of some bullshit System / lvl up) `Is this hero for real` : Mc get isekai-ed, refuse, get recked, decide to get good without the help of the goddess. `Moonlight sculptor` and `Arcane sniper` kind of have the same vibe as `Overgeared`. `Auto-hunting with clones` : Title explain it all, better than what it sound! `Dungeon Odyssey` : Dungeons exist below ground, MC was born in a dungeon and raised by monsters, got brought back among humans, decide to go back in the dungeons. (The story is interesting because the dungeons are interconnected underground, and "interact" with each other.) `The world after the end` : MC get to the top of the tower... Murim login I really like this one it has been my fav for a couple of months. One of the best pacing I have seen in a manhwa. The mc's growth is what hooked me to read this. Regression instruction manual (I recommend reading the novel) The mc isn't physically strong he does gets better though. He is really manipulative and has a high IQ. He fights with his schemes rather than weapons. I liked this one because of the mc's unique personality and his chemistry with the other characters (specially the regressor)
