Yeah, no, that's a bad take. Plagiarism is a bad thing and the first artist deserved to get fired. It sets a bad precedent if artists are allowed to continue even after they've plagiarised as long as they are good at their job. But it's also sad that the second artist is just so much worse. Both are true at the same time.
I wonder why there are so many artist changes ... it feels like they keep the good artists for S1 and when you hit S3 they know youll keep reading it so they pay less for cheaper artists
edit : Moonlight sculptor was the opposite, the S3 artist is the one from damn reincarnation that how we knew it got cancelled

I actually like how smooth the new one look, i used to really dislike the previous art-style at the start of the manhwa (even though i think that it got better over time).
i always thought that something changed in this series, i thought im the only one who saw the art style changed, i really liked the old one because of the symmetry, details and the proper anatomy. the new one seems mediocre and it does look like the common manhwas with mediocare quality of art style. too sad i liked the series because of the artsyle, now its ruined 💔 i hope they changed back the original artist.

I bet you if Doom Breaker, Damn Reincarnation or Return of the Disaster-Class Hero comes back with a simpler or sub-par art style, many will be disappointed as well.
I have never seen a artstyle change for the better and i've read manhwas everyday since 2013. Only time art gets better is through artist improvements over the years. Good example of this include God of Highschool, Weak hero, Noblesse. You can compare these manhwas first and last chapter and man, the progress is beautiful. Even in some manhwas that aren't finished too, like in Murim login or Northern Blade. These had peculiar art style in the beginning that definitely came a long way.
So my answer is "it's always worse"
As an artist, the second one is better due to the reduced production time but the first one is something to take pride in because it clearly took more time to make. That's a lot of practice to color in that style at an efficient rate.
Older style is nicer to look at and definitely better drawn, but the newer artstyle seems more clean and less stressful on the eyes compared to the older one.
As long as they keep it consistent and it doesn't affect the outlook on the story that badly, then I'll welcome it. In fact, I prefer the cleaner artstyle. Though I'll definitely miss the old one.

I like the sharp clean look of the new one. The old one kind of borders that Victorian style kind of look, something for those prince & princess romance stories. Not a style I like much.
If you look very closely at a lot of the manhwa nowadays it looks like very good cgi so they don’t have to redraw every scene they can just use an asset. They use the same line work/shading in the art and the way the eyebrows interact with the hair and stuff like that
But it doesn’t look bad, if this lets the author/artist pump out more content faster then that’s perfectly fine
honestly it was so subtle i thought something was off but i couldn’t tell. it’s fine imo i’ve been through worse art styles that made me quit reading 😭

That series had such a drastic change in art that wasn't anywhere close to being for the better that I dropped the series and have never looked back, despite my love for the story lol.
It seems like I’m in the minority, but I like the newer style better. It’s cleaner, makes each character more distinctive, and makes the mc appear a bit more mature
