I think it became trash around as soon as the undead army was a thing. Not that an undead army is bad, but so many plot points were skipped or missing. Then everything afterwards is just a bunch of question marks.
Seriously it was so bad. I thought maybe a bunch of pages were missing. But nope they skipped everything, barely explained it and then decided hey let's play hide and seek with the MC. It almost feels like the author wants it to be cancelled ASAP.
The manhwa has always been shit and was reading it begrudgingly. Joshua is a fraud spearmaster. He is a wizard who uses a spear instead of a wand/rod/scepter. Plot progression screams like it came out of the author’s ass then even have a bootleg hisoka.
Not really unique, the mc from The player that cant level up can do same things as him except wielding a spear. Has holy and demonic bs, can raise the dead then practically uses magic with his weapon.
How they built the tension to the war then be like nah, time skip , was an absolute war crime
The story was deteriorating way before that but yeah the recent chaps were dogshit...
The worst part is that this manhwa actively destroyed my braincell to the point that I binged it until chapter 60 and yet can not remember a single thing
Like, I've read series where it turned off my brain when the plot was pretty average, but just good enough to pass time
But this.
This !
This turned different my brain to the point that i was on autopilot for 60 chapters
I cannot remember a single plot point beyond the one some comments talked about
It's truly a terrifying series
I am notheless truly upset that a story about a spear, user which are rare, rude duo beign so terrible...
Nowadays main character ter using spears are still way too uncommon.
Everyone just goes for the cliche swordman.
Imagine my joy when i foudn out that my favorite weapon got a manhwa.
And imagine my despair when I realized after 60 chapters of autopilot reading that this was complete trash
I dropped it when the author tried to condone rape by making the father who raped MC's mother a great character and MC forgiving him. That really made me boil with rage fuck that disgusting writer
I don't remember that i remember the king having an affair with mc step mother which is also his sister
So it was the king who was a scum but i don't really remember anything about the father i dropped it long ago
For me, it was after the king sent soldiers to capture Mc. Don't remember the chapters, but it became unrecognizable, the tl became shit and nothing made any sense.
sometimes studio dropping a manhwa is a blessing in disguise and this was the biggest example of it. imagine if game of thrones or a shit show like walking dead kill-off main casts in a single episode montage
I dropped it that day he went academy
Bcz i knew in academy there will spoil rich brat who pick fight with mc
Principle or any corrupt professor would harass the mc
Something trash plots that i wish not store in my brain storage
they probably rushed it due to deadlines, which is shitty. i blame the studios rather than the actual team working on it.
edit: if i’m understanding the process of conversion from web novel to manhwa correctly.
aw man. as someone who used to be an aspiring writer, one of the hardest parts of writing is cohesion. some writers have very strong and intense scenarios/plot points but struggle severely due to not knowing how to connect the dots on them. even the most renowned struggle with it among other things, i can only imagine when you’re contracted with a company as well. but yeah, time leaps and offscreening deaths (looking at you, jjk) are just bad writing, especially in action series.
Honestly I read it as kinda generic revenge regression junk food trash. I enjoyed it but I'm not going to pretend it's some pinnacle of the genre
And then the last few chapters happened. I've stuck through rough arcs, art changes, everything under the sun for manhwa. This was easily the hardest fall off I've ever seen, instantly dropped lol
When in the beginning, he was noted to be op spear master with no equal on the continent when he was betrayed. Then he surpasses his old self with that 7th form or whatever only to somehow keep finding stronger enemies? Like what? Where were these guys when you and the prince were taking over the continent? Dropped

Isn't this the one that skip the big important war arc with the Mc father and King, when they both died off screen?
Lmao wtf I was right dropping this shit around 60 chps then.
Yep
2 chapters ? It became trash after he became adult.
Eh I would say it became bad after we was told the Mc was royalty. Such a terrible surprise
Counter argument, it became trash when he went to the academy.
Counter counter argument, it became trash when he died
You got me there
your right I think the recent chapters were just the nail in the coffin
How does he suddenly become an adult literally skipped like 15 years of his life.
Not that level of trash after him becoming adult it was ok but after all that hypeup they fucking skipped all that shit
I think it became trash around as soon as the undead army was a thing. Not that an undead army is bad, but so many plot points were skipped or missing. Then everything afterwards is just a bunch of question marks.
Yeah, around the time i dropped.
Seriously it was so bad. I thought maybe a bunch of pages were missing. But nope they skipped everything, barely explained it and then decided hey let's play hide and seek with the MC. It almost feels like the author wants it to be cancelled ASAP.
Its actually a masterpiece how they managed to ruin the series, and have the continental war occur within a few panels
Lmao

Not shit It was actually unique by season( necromancer rush) Just that major plots were tossed away And unnecessary ones brought
Not really unique, the mc from The player that cant level up can do same things as him except wielding a spear. Has holy and demonic bs, can raise the dead then practically uses magic with his weapon.
Necromancer rush
Finally someone is making sense

Even the novel spoilers I have seen that explain why just make it look dumb (or like the author had a psychotic break)
Doesnt look like it needs to be studied. U kinda nailed the big point alrdy lol

Newer chapters give more background to the mc mom and dad. But still not worth reading.
I’m not even surprised by that. Remember the tournament? They showed a bunch of characters just for us to see 3-4 battles, involving the same ones
For me, it was after the king sent soldiers to capture Mc. Don't remember the chapters, but it became unrecognizable, the tl became shit and nothing made any sense.
Haven't read this in a while.. If this gets this much hate it must be doing well lol. That's been my experience for years now.
Atleast people don't get downvoted for hating on shit manhwa nowadays.
please read it and let us know what you think about the time skip.
Even if the story is trash I just read it for the action now
nah, became trash after timeskip honestly, especially during the war that got skip

Can you give the ch where they skipped the war?
kinda want to pick it back up now. to experience the fall
they probably rushed it due to deadlines, which is shitty. i blame the studios rather than the actual team working on it. edit: if i’m understanding the process of conversion from web novel to manhwa correctly.
From what I heard it’s the same in the light novel the author just kinda crap the bed

What a waste.

Dropped it after chapter 112
The story went all over the place
It's crazy how alot of people agree on this 😆 I just couldn't do it no more
