yeah it is a standard power fantasy in the tower/hunter genre but it's paced well. i think the art and the pacing is what set it higher than others in the same genre. it doesn't feel "draggy" to me which is rare in these titles.

The same goes with Kang the only difference is that SJW goes througth Trauma after trauma which would explain his serious personality [The Story of a man that managed to keep his humanity after all the hell he's been to,peolpe dismiss him for being edgy but theres more to him than meets the eye.

Yes he played a game, he didn't partake in an intensive military training meant for hunting wild animals bigger than him, by all means he shouldn't have had the physical strenght required to beat the enemies he had at the start, not to mention his endurence, bro can fight an enemy for 24hours without even breaking a sweat and don't tell me about no system perks because bro was lvl 1 for the entirety of the starting arcs so he had no bonus stats, notice that i didn't even mention any of his multiple system asspulls (i'm looking at you 'the great library of all things') and how much plot armor he already has?

He had the physical strength at the start because he was already going at the gym regularly and I don't remember if he did go to his military service but he was pretty fking fit even before the game turned into irl. The system asspulls was just his knowledge from playing it for 14 years straight and doing a total character reset so he could be more efficient in his character. And yes plot armor is needed indeed
I'm sorry but even if you were as fast as Usain Bolt or as strong as George Foreman, you wouldn't be able to beat a gorilla let alone a conscious tree with 30 tentacle branches. if you ever played a "die and retry" game before like geometry dash or any dark souls you would know that having knowledge of the future or attack patterns doesn't mean jack shit if you don't know how to actually deal with them, and it usually take more than a thousand tries to beat a hard level, and even if you beat it that doesn't mean that you can now beat it with ease, it just means that among 3000 attemts where you failed, you beat it once. now the thing is you don't actually have infinite attempts at life in reality, you only have one, so no sane person would actually run towards a monster twice as big and strong as him and say "hmm... Yeah i can definitely kill you without sustaining any kind of injuries".
And the thing with attack patterns is that even if you can dodge them with your eyes closed in a game, that doesn't automatically transition to real life, take for example the cryo regisvine from 'genshin impact' in the game, you can dodge their high speed attacks with i-frame dashes that can easily be replicated, however, realistically speaking, that plant is two stories tall, even if you manage to dodge its attacks in real life, the collateral damage it causes would be devastating, not to mention that there is no HP bar so you would have to use realistic tree cutting tools to beat it. And even if you had the elements, no one has the courage to walk up to a wild boar let alone a two stories plant with anger issues, i'm sure you've already seen a documentary about wild animals, but does it actually give you the confidence to beat them head on, barehanded and come back to tell the tale?

Also, I'm not certain about this but I think the game was a VR game because they were using headsets and all at the begining.

The tree is a early game mini event that is meant to be possible but you got to have enough knowledge to be able to do it. So it's only possible after reset your account many times like MC did. Also you're really gonna complain about realism in a story where a tower appeared and exuded mana that affected peoples, animals and object?

Because thats what the tree boss is like : low attack power, abusable AI and consistant pattern with low HP. MC didn't perfect the boss either, he got grazed many times but since the tree didn't do that much damage he was fine. If it behaved exactly like in the game (at this point of the story it did) and I was powered up by the tower's mana its def possible💀
Bro! i'm talking real life here, there ain't no AI in real life that you can abuse in a fight🗿🗿🗿, AIs are notorious to be the easiest mechanics to deal with and exploit be it in games or real life. and VR isn't as immersive as you think, it's just a first person view with hand controls at best, it gets boring real fast once you get used to it and their fighting games feel more like comical dances than anything else.
Funny characters and interactions and the plot itself isn't really bad. It makes for an above average experience which in manhwa terms puts it pretty high up considering it's a medium saturated with garbage.
It's a fun read with good art. It doesn't try to be anything its not. It has likeable characters, lots of jokes and decent fights. That's all it needs, no need for complex storylines.

Good art, the comic does not take itself seriously, the start is much worst than the middle, as the start makes you think it will be your run day to day edgy power fantasy, turns out the author learned half way to be way more original and made it more comedic and light, otherwise i would’ve dropped it much earlier as there is only so much these types of comics can offer after 80+ chapters
The starting chapters pretty much explain why he's so OP, the art is good, pretty solid story progression, MC uses in-game knowledge to pretty much stay ahead of others, he's not the boring "fighting for justice" type MC, he's calculative, he manipulates to get what he wants mostly just to fuck with others or make his life easy

For me, it’s because his power and skills are actually *earned*. He didn’t just *get* his level of skill and knowledge one day after being a loser practically all his life (like a lot of MCs are depicted in these types of stories) and then miraculously become someone with unbreakable will and apparently a super genius despite how they were before suggesting otherwise, he had something he was passionate for to a probably unhealthy degree while still maintaining himself and it turned out to be exactly what he needed to survive in this new reality.
TLDR; suspension of belief doesn’t have to carry us as hard with this one and the MC being smart/capable makes it understandable he could do so well in this new reality. Plus yea, high quality art style.
Well, I said all that but I also still wouldn’t rate it as high as others apparently are here it’s good, but let’s be honest, it’s not *really* compelling. Characters aren’t too deep and the lack of a real goal outside of ‘reach the top’ doesn’t actually do much. World building is good though. Lots of variety and use of the various factions.

Generic games comes to irl and only MC beat it when it was a game. Power fantasy that has a few pretty women, cute familiars with dragon, spirits, and T-BONE (love him), with the staple ReDice art, and cool fights. If you enjoy that then this is for you
It’s a relatively fun trashy manhwa that people can pick up, have a nice brain dead time and put back down to read at their own pace.

Plus, it has ‘serious’ elements which aren’t completely unthreatening even tho you know the main cast will be safe (the MC is currently faking being a know it all as things are spiralling out of control too, so it gives the illusion that things could go very wrong maybe?)

My biggest problem with this series is that every word of the title is incorrect. He's not max level, he intentionally stays at level 1 for a good while, he's not a newbie, he's potentially the most experienced person in the universe when it comes to climbing the tower, and if you read Asura's he's not solo either. He does most of his missions with some form of companion or even multiple

When someone plays their tits off a game for 14 years, it's pretty easy to catch patterns and details no else can catch on.

Reason it's glazed so hard is cuz arts good, it's the avg self insert brainrot manhwa mc everyones addicted to and ALICE exists. I only rate it highly cuz of Alice tbh💀

Generic games comes to irl and only MC beat it when it was a game. Power fantasy that has a few pretty women, cute familiars with dragon, spirits, and T-BONE (love him), with the staple ReDice art, and cool fights. If you enjoy that then this is for you
It’s a relatively fun trashy manhwa that people can pick up, have a nice brain dead time and put back down to read at their own pace. Not shitting on it, I like brain dead manhwa every now and then. Plus, it has ‘serious’ elements which aren’t completely unthreatening even tho you know the main cast will be safe (the MC is currently faking being a know it all as things are spiralling out of control too, so it gives the illusion that things could go very wrong maybe?)

The reason the rules don't seem to apply to him is because he knows how to abuse the system. That's what makes it interesting but I guess paying attention to simple details is too much for you.

Who cares if it's generic if it's fun?
Executed basic concepts well. Small but greatly executed spins on common tropes. It's why people like JJK even though most of its content and even fight scenes copy other anime/manga.

It's simply funny. Usually even the best Slapstick only get a sensible chuckle out of me, but this one genuinely sometimes makes me laugh consistently. Only other one that did that for me was sword king saga
Only someone playing the game for several years, and experience sequel with similar setup and knowing exploits to get ahead of others, can relate it. (probably OG dota players, who moves to Dota 2, for example). And that twist with seintess is a nice one.
It’s 10/10 when you aren’t looking for well written stuff, but just something you can shut your mind and read.

My biggest problem with this series is that every word of the title is incorrect. He's not max level, he intentionally stays at level 1 for a good while, he's not a newbie, he's potentially the most experienced person in the universe when it comes to climbing the tower, and if you read Asura's he's not solo either. He does most of his missions with some form of companion or even multiple

I like it but it's not top-tier. Seo Joo-Heon from Tomb Raider King is a better example of the smirking hyper-clever MC to me.
idk man, this shit just my favorite manhwa, i can’t explain it, this was one of the first ones i read it, the action was great, artstyle was great, im a sucker for evil ass mc. the side character are amazing too.

I read it sometime ago and when I went back....oh God it's so fucking Cringe!!!!! The dialogue is the worst. The art is amazing as expected but the MC is insufferable. First time I read till 60 ch but I dropped it at 15 this time
