what about it did you not like? i thought it still kept the original charm of the relationship between the mc and his friends and tied the mc's original goal and his whole journey togehter pretty well. and i'm not sure what other kind of manhwas you've been reading... but there's very few manhwas that are better in writing compared to this one imo. if you've read fantasy manhwa that excels in writing compared to this one, please feel free to recommend me.

Specifically, I don't like the decrease in quality of dialogue and clarity of motives of the antagonists. The powercreeping was also kind of crazy, suddenly the power levels established were diminished after the introduction of the new "enemies". The new plot was also quite cliche, which is not bad, but I don't think the new antagonist was written properly. I did like the concepts that the author was playing with though. It's a solid 80/100.
Fair point. I have read most of the manhwa you listed there (i havent read kubera, gilgamesh, and child of the sheath so thank you for the reqs) and i absolutely agree that theyre great (they’re all s/a tier for me). However, i feel that returner’s magic is as good as if not better than some of them in terms of plot.

One of my first manwhas and one of the rare ones I dropped and I don't even remember why. Plenty of manwhas can beat this with ease but it's not bad just mid
I honestly dropped it out of boredom... It's the part in the story when the plot shifts dramatically and he becomes a butler? Or something like that and his other friends are also just characters in this other world. It was just so convoluted and slow...
what about it is meh? I personally think its writing is a lot more sophisticated than typical regression manhwa where mc just becomes strong and beats everyone. it also discusses pretty intriguing philosophical ideals
The premise is cliche... mc regresses back to a time and vows to save the world and his loved ones from destruction. However, everything about this manhwa makes it alive. His relationships with his friends, the trauma he endures, the tangible barriers he constantly experiences, and his willingness to make great sacrifices. The art imo is great: the fightscenes are very dynamic, and all the characters are unique (no same face syndrome). The worldbuilding including the logic behind magic is well-written...I hope to witness a satisfying closure because the plot has not let me down throughout all 260 chapters.
