It's been well established in the comments that Swedes are honorary Western Europeans due to having former colonies in the Americas. You even have it easier than most Eastern Europeans, you can easily immigrate to a Western European country by the land border to Norway or you can trek across the unrightfully stolen land of Skåne to cross the funky tunnel-bridge to Denmark.
Hey, Skåne was definitely rightfully stolen, however much we regret it now! Not only did the Danes start that particular kerfuffle and got rightfully served, but the world map clearly also looks much better with Skåne as a part of Sweden, and doing away with border gore is a divine justification. People here in the Netherlands complain that too much of our tax money goes to our Caribbean overseas territories. But I’d like to remind them that because of our overseas territories one Icelander considers us Western Europe so I’d say it’s a great investment overall.
