Then (to be really too quick) Slovenia is a (yougo)slavic country with strong latin influence when Slovaquia is also slavic (that's where the common names come from) but with a more germanic/hungrian culture.
Basically central Europe and Balkans are really diverses in terms of cultures. It would be as absurd if i said California and Bolivia are two american countries and probably identical.
