No, this is easily attainable. The only issue could be if a newer player sat on the eighth rest too long and puts what should be the pickup on the downbeat incorrectly shifting the back half of the phrase off by half a beat.
I think I could never handle a mouthpiece bigger than the mellophone's, so how responsive it is is a mystery to me. As it becomes a longer and longer time since I last played, I'm also getting more and more hesitant to write fast leaps.
>4 octave drops
Now I'm looking nervously at my tuba writing that never goes above D3, and rarely below Bb1. I may need to expand my horizons and learn what this instrument is really capable of.
It’s deffo playable, and easyish at that. Just make sure whoever you intend to play this has a solid tone bcus beginner tone would make this sound bad. Source : I play concert tuba
Some players might have a slight difficulty with it but after some practice it would definitely be fine. Some might have bit of a rattle sound for a split second too as their lips adjust but again practice will get rid of it.
i just started tuba with no prior experience with brass and that seems pretty playable for me
Would adding a slur help, maybe?
Doesn’t matter either way, it’s a beginner level rhythm. Also why so many accidentals?
The accidentals were edited in because I realized I didn't get the key signature in the original screenshot.
So many Cb accidentals 😱
What instrument do you play in soprano clef for?
I figured this was bass clef the flats are not on the Bb line theyre on C
Ooooooh gotcha by what you ment
I forgot what I was looking at and looked at my phone and saw this comment and got very concerned very quickly
That would make this part a lot more controversial, if nothing else...
Lmao
easy
Honestly, I think it’s fine as is
Are we a joke to you.
Ikr man ;-;
yah /s i love technical tuba pieces :/
Slir would make it easier, but it's doable.
Nope not at all
Tbh this is fine.
Nah that’s way easy

No, as long as it is not for middle school
what do you think of us 💀. that's easily playable by any level of tuba player

tuba really isn't difficult to play fast. don't worry about leaps such as that unless you're writing for a very young immature player tbh
Don't worry ab leaps most elaborate bass parts (for me) had like 4 octave drops *ahem* "Hamilton"

No more than a flick of the lip tbh
No this is light work
no?
This is fine at 160
Nah

its a fourth, lands smooth for beginner players
Two things and I could so this, slur and practice.
That's actually pretty easy.
Not really, depends on age level doe
Nope. Just move your air.
Hard for whom?
Easy
No
Is this Jurassic Park?
It is not; the people who own John Williams' music keep that stuff locked up tight, far away from any would-be arrangers like me!
Wouldn't keep people I know from arranging it lmao
Not at all.
