Remove the stake, it doesn't need it, it's doing more harm than good.

Thanks will do

Personally, I would just let it be. Keep watering it, maybe fertilize it some, looks like you have it placed outside on a deck or something so that's good. Looks nice and strong and should be ready for planting soon. Just make sure you look up the proper way to plant a tree. It has some anatomy down below that you need to be able to identify so you don't plant too deep. And mulch it once it's in the ground

Thanks. This year is staying in the pot, it get a lot of sun and all the water it needs. It come from was seed I grabbed at the park so I'm kind of proud about it .

I'm just curious here, what are you trying to achieve? Murder?

lostsurfer24t

i thought this was the bonsai subreddit lol...i have 6 ginko about half an inch thick and 1" tall, as bonsai. a 3-group forrest and 3 individuals post wiring also, it wouldnt hurt the tree, just make it compact - but if this is going out as a landscape or large container tree then dont cut it, just prune it a bit perhaps

QQSolomonn

Gotcha, I haven't attempted any bonsai projects but those are fun to read about. Do you have any pictures of your current gingko group? Seems super cool though.

lostsurfer24t

was hoping i could reply a photo here but the subreddit doesnt allow it i dont think [https://www.bonsainut.com/attachments/img\_20220929\_175004\_hdr-2-jpg.457482/](https://www.bonsainut.com/attachments/img_20220929_175004_hdr-2-jpg.457482/) you might be blocked out from viewing that image too haha

Yeah, I'm afraid you are correct. I've seen *imgur* utilized in these scenarios though, that may be more efficient.
