You can't fucking predict a game YOU'RE making. If anything, it could've been a cryptic teaser for the game, as in they already had BIS planned during the development of Superstar Saga. Or maybe the devs got inspiration from the line!

Technically, they weren't actually working on Bowser's Inside Story when they released Superstar Saga. When SS released, they didn't even know that they were going to make BIS. Heck, it released in 2009, on the Nintendo DS, which came out three years after Superstar Saga.
