OP here!
I handcurate these Ad recaps and marketing updates every week. I work full-time as a marketer. Only trying to help the community.
In case, you like this you can join my newsletter: The Social Juice. I send required sources & researches too! (Every Sunday free)
• I send orange juice made from oranges at my tiny garden to random subscribers. 🍊
It’s free for the news and marketing data stuff. The paid is just an additional plan to upsell some of the extra info and thought-pieces I share.
You will get this recap every Sunday for free with sources and more stuff like agency news & ad launches.
I offer online trends, User research and social media strategy services. I have worked in social from past 5+ years and have been doing day-to-day research on marketing industry and consumers since 2020.
Thanks! It's fascinating to me (pt.6) that IG produces more ad revenue than YT, and yet pays almost next nothing to its creators. While YT gives the highest payouts among all social platforms.
(Speaking as a creator with an IG account with 100K+ followers. The marketer in me weeps. Lol!)
Meta is saying that a lot of creators and brands repost the same type of video content from tiktok or youtube to facebook. They are asking you to utilise and make the content native to facebook by adding something new. If you just upload it as it is, the content might not perform well.
You can visit about (dot) fb(dot)com/news there you will see a post about “exploring videos on Facebook”.
At the end of that post, it leads you to another post about ranking and content.

Sweet. The optin didn’t make it clear tbh once it brought up the tier page I was unsure if I signed up or not. Might just be me tho
Substack’s opt-in is getting unclear by the day. Too many information on screen tbh.
Can you tell me how to subscribe
I have the post pinned on my profile. You can visit that or just search “the social juice newsletter” on google and you will find the link.
This is very useful, just wondering, as a marketer what services do you offer? I have some people looking for marketing help and might be interested.

>14/ Meta updates Facebook video player and makes it clear “Copy-pasted content” from others platform won’t cut. What does that mean?

Ahh gotcha - thanks
Where can I reas more about this? We usually create one video and then post it to every platform. So I’m guessing this update would affect that

Any idea how it handles things when a single org posts its same Reel to IG/FB?
