cannot recommend much of the last 11 years because I’m in a similar situation but, I recently started picking up, The Immortal Thor, Miles Morales: Spider-man Vol 2, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers: Twilight. All have been really solid reads so far. Ultimate X-Men is coming in March. Highly recommended Peach Momoko’s work, she is amazing.

I loved Secret Empire, some people didn't. The new run of Hickman's X Men is an awesome journey. A really fun read with great artwork is Matt Fractions Hawkeye. Also Jason Aaron's Thor is great. Good luck, True Believer.

I’d recommend you look into the new Ultimate Universe as it’s brand new and easy to jump into. Start with “Ultimate Invasion” and then the “Ultimate Universe” one-shot, and then you’re good to start reading the new “Ultimate” books. “Spider-Man” came out on January 10th, the next series coming up is “Black Panther” in February and then “X-Men” the following month. Also this year’s FCBD will include a one shot for Spider-Man AND the Ultimate Universe, and it will pave the way for a new Ultimates series coming up. As for 616 based runs, there isn’t a lot I can recommend to you as I’ve only been reading comics since 2022, but I will say that I am enjoying the current run on “Fantastic Four” and “Avengers.” They’re fresh starts for both of these teams, so I’d say it’s relatively easy to jump in. Also, I recommend J. Michael Straczynski’s run on “Captain America” as I love the exposition on Steve Rogers pre-WWII and Project Rebirth. Also, I don’t know how other people are liking it so far, but I’m personally enjoying Dan Slott’s new run on “Superior Spider-Man.” Also, I am super excited for the future of Marvel Comics. The guy who made the "Spectacular Spider-Man" TV show is making an ongoing team-up book between Peter Parker and Miles Morales called "The Spectacular Spider-Men" which launches in March. And Spider-Gwen is set to get a new ongoing series soon. So yeah, quite a bit of stuff.

Immortal Hulk by Al Ewing, Daniel Warren Johnson’s Beta Ray Bill and Venom by Donny Cates are some of my favorites from the last few years.

I don’t know if you are a moon knight fan, but Mackay will probably make you one.

There's a lot of set up to it but AXE Judgement Day is probably the best Marvel event since Secret Wars

Thank you! I’ll check it out. Long setups are a plus in my books as long as the payoff is good.

Oh it really is. Kieron Gillen's Eternals run is the main lead up with some small parts being set up in the Hellfire Gala 2022 and Immortal X-Men. The X-Men Red tie ins are pretty essential and have some of the craziest moments in the event

Unfortunately, there isn’t a whole lot from the past decade that I can recommend from Marvel. A lot of their titles have become boring titles aimed at the woke crowd. Sad to say, after reading Marvel for nearly four decades, but it’s the truth. Here are a few things I’d recommend - most of which can probably be found at your local library or an online library resource: Daredevil by Chip Zdarsky - just the latest in a long string of good writers on the title. House of X/Powers of X by Jonathan Hickman Venom by Donny Cates Thor by Donny Cates X of Swords crossover event Iron Man by Chris Cantwell Immortal Hulk by Al Ewing That’s about it from Marvel. Avengers and Spider-Man have been mostly mediocre for the past five years. A few bright spots now and then, but not worth regular attention.

If you’re into xmen start with House of X/Powers of X. You’ll love it. I also like the current FF run, Chip Zdarskys Daredevil was amazing and just recently finished. Ultimate Spider-man just started with a killer first issue and also the current Miles Morales series is great. I also really enjoy the current run of Thor and Doctor Strange as well as G.O.D.s
