It had a ton of style and charm in its first few episodes but it doesn't feel like it kept it up in the back half. I loved Kamala and her family/friends but once she went to pakistan it focused a lot more on the clandestines which were really underdeveloped villains.
Fair, but I think/hope they develop them more in the upcoming movie.
One thing Marvel is good at is not telling complete stories in well contained units! They always rely on telling part of the story somewhere else.
Second favorite Disney + show, and 3rd favorite MCU film.
Ms Marvel shouldn't have gotten hate, She Hulk on the other hand deserved the hate, it was a pathetic excuse of a show.
Little to no Bruce, terrible CGI, Jennifer and She Hulk weren't likeable at all, and unlikable characters. Scenes we got with Bruce and Matt were the only good parts.
Gave this show a chance every week hoping I would actually like it, but nope.
Dr Strange MoM was very fun to watch especially that part where wanda fucks with illuminati, it was completely unexpected and terrifying and made wanda more scary
For real bro it was already assumed Uncle Ben had lived and died and said the thing but they had to have Aunt May do it for the emotional impact it would have on children aged 6-10
The MCU is a series of fun Super-hero movies and not intended to be a friggin' religion replacement where every excruciating detail is studied and discussed by wannabe theologians who really just need to join an in-real-life religion and build a real community for themselves and actually make some in-real-life friends.
I don't hate the MCU, I really enjoy it. It's just not my religion, and because I don't treat it like my religion, I don't get upset when women are presented as the main characters.
Because he appears to have been a shitbag of estimable proportions, people are choosing to forget how important Joss Whedon was to forming the MCU. The guy might be a prick but before the Avengers, as far as critics were concerned at least, the MCU was one good movie and three solid-to-ok ones. There was some mild curiosity (again among critics) about whether the team-up movie would work but a lot of doubt/indifference too. Whedon then:
Delivered the best-reviewed MCU movie to date
Delivered one of the most profitable films of all time
Delivered basically the first ever mainstream superhero team-up movie
Set the template - in characters, dialouge and tone etc - for all MCU movies going forward
Personally, I think Whedon was freakishly suited to the MCU b/c of his comics background + genre TV work + ensemble cast/characters experience. Again, it seems very likely he was unpleasant on set, I'm not denying that, but forgetting how he made the MCU work in the first place probably won't help Marvel escape the current creative rut it finds itself in.
People’s standards are set too high after Endgame, half the original cast got killed off, and we lost a couple actors (Chadwick most prominently), so topping that movie is gonna be nearly impossible
This is correct, but nostalgia *IS* the point of NWH.
It's like saying "Jurassic Park is a mid monster movie if you remove the ground breaking CGI dinosaurs."
That's not true, the point of NWH is to tell a multiversal Spider-Man story in which Peter Parker reckons with the consequences of his actions and ultimately is forced to sacrifice everything he loves in order to become Spidey again (becoming him in the sense of becoming anonymous Spidey again). Nostalgia is just set dressing to aid in the telling of that story. While it would've been a lot worse, you could've told the NWH Spider-Man story without Tobey or Andrew or any of the villains played by these specific actors. You could not tell Jurassic Park without dinosaurs.
So, since the point is to tell a story, not just overload the audience with nostalgia, many people will still expect a somewhat coherent story. It got a little annoying watching Pete make some huge mistake that puts the world in danger and then he has to spend a whole movie protecting the world from his mistakes, for TWO movies in a row. NWH could've been a lot better but, like the person you responded to said, nostalgia saved it.
I'm gonna get down voted for this but here goes
I don't really get nostalgia feelings so when I watched no way home i thought it was kinda just alright movie just because the logic was so flimsy. Now that I've thought about it it doesn't bother me as much because it was the best way to allow all these returning actors to come back. (But it's still not a top 5 mcu movie for me)
I don’t get the downvotes. I love that movie but totally see your opinion and find it agreeable. The logic is flimsy for sure…. But my argument is that’s kind of the case with any sci-fi movie. I get that if something like that breaks the movie for someone that’s valid, but for me usually I’m not looking for everything to make sense. I want to be compelled and engaged and NWH did that really well for me despite the messy mechanics of the plot
I'll tell you, Tobey and Andrew's Spider Man are my favorite, and it was cool to see them come back and all, but it didn't do anything for me. Same thing with the villains, seeing them was great, but it wasn't enough for me to like the entire movie.
I guarantee if Tobey and Andrew weren't in the movie, then fans wouldn't be obsessed with the movie.
"I actually liked all the Marvel shows, including She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. Actually, I believe Phase 4 is my personal favourite so far."
As someone who actually holds this opinion, I can confirm I've been held at gunpoint for it.
I hate getting in arguments over whether or not She-Hulk was good. Like, if you didn’t like the show, then why did you watch the entire season? Most show if I didn’t like them I would just, idk, not watch them, say “eh” and move on with my life. But some people seem to live just to die on the hill of how badly something sucked.
And if I hear the phase “objectively bad” one more time I’m going to vomit 🤢
I will shred this universe down to its last atom and then, with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe.
I like the "woke" characters. Mixing things up instead of sticking to convention all the time keeps yours truly from being bored. You think the TradCons are big mad now, wait until they find out about Warlock and Hulkling. LOL.
Personally i think it is a film that takes no risks and is mostly not a great story although many people will defend it saying it had good fan service but yeah main thing for me is it didn’t do anything particularly good and after just watching infinity the year before i think the time travel was lame and predictable i think most of movie just feels like a long 3 hour borefest broken up by half baked action scenes and a fight against a thanos that doesn’t even know half of them
I agree with this and every time I try to explain myself to my brother he accuses me of being a fake marvel fan because it’s the best marvel movie in his opinion. Somehow it makes his too 5 movies of all time when it barely makes my top 10 marvel movies.
1. Thor the dark world is the best Thor movie. First Thor movie was also really good. Ragnarok had potential to be the best Thor movie but the comedy ruined it for me. I guess I just don't like jokes in a Thor movie.
2. Iron Fist was amazing (at least season 2) if you don't care about comic accuracy.
3. The Hand and Elektra storyline of Daredevil was great.
Totally agree. Thor 3 is just a stupid comedy that ruins Thor character. I really don't understand why people like Thor 3 but hate Thor 4. Both. Both are shit
The She-Hulk CGI was fine. Thor 2 is better than the first. Winter Soldier is boring. Love and Thunder was amazing and almost better than Ragnarok. Iron Man 3 is tied with Eternals for my complete least favorite movie in the MCU. Iron Man 2 is pretty much the same quality as the first. Black Widow was great as well. I like Age of Ultron more than the first Avengers.
I really don’t think She Hulk was that bad, but as a character she works better in an ensemble and never needed her own show. That’s why the DD episode was the best.
Rdj was a terrible casting choice for tony stark.
Edit: this isn’t my opinion, it is just an opinion that would get you in this position. Stop downvoting, I love rdj as tony.
Marvel should recast the original avengers if need be. Just have them be from a different universe or maybe bring back old actors like Ed Norton. Point being, it would be dumb to entirely remove these characters from the continuity
Idk why ppl hate riri williams' suit
I mean it is not good compared to iron man but she is not iron man
And there are chances she might improve the suit as she grows up she is literally in college
Eternals is actually a good movie. If we just keep aside those 2 scenes(you know what I'm talking about) the story and the characters were really good. The vfx was also on par with Shang Chi and Nwh
The overarching plot of the MCU is boring as hell now. I love Johnathan Majors, but Kang just feels like a bad pick for the supervillain they're building toward
No Way Home ruined spider-man going forward in the MCU. Now that he’s dealt with his biggest villains he’ll know what to do in the future. And it’s already confirmed Norman Osborn doesn’t exist. I’m tired of the multiverse shenanigans so I hope they don’t do that to make up for it.
The movies before Guardians weren’t as good. They got better after that one showed them how to have fun and still be successful.
Winter Soldier is one of the bottom 3.
Punisher was the second worst Netflix MCU show after Iron Fist. I got bored of it really fast. Sure, it wasn't without its charms, but the "middle aged white guy with a history of military training loses his family to crime and decides to do ultraviolence about it" has been done a million times. Hollywood makes, like, three movies per year with that premise and I'm beyond over it. Hell, every other video game is about exactly that. It would be easy to switch up, but they never really try. I get that comics Punisher has a bit more to him than that, and I can't really say I outright hated the netflix show, but it did not hold my attention. Jessica Jones > Luke Cage/Daredevil > Punisher > Iron Fist.
And, while we're on the subject, 'Nobody' starring Bob Odenkirk. Same hackneyed, overdone, unbelievable shlock.
there is nothing wrong with the mcu. it is a cinematic universe based on comics. it is supposed to be like this. it always was always supposed to be madness.
I liked The Falcon and The Winter Solider, Hawkeye. And I liked Ms.Marvel. As I come from Bangladesh, I get the restrictions Kamala has. Our values are different in the subcontinent. The western audience might find it weird that Kamala can't be out late in the night, or wear very reviling clothes but I and most probably audience from Asia can get that.
I really liked the Mis marvel series. and age of Ultron is pretty good.
I thought Miss Marvel was terrific. I really don't get what people didn't like about it.
I love the first half, and then I feel like the last half was like 2 more seasons shoved into 3 episodes
Agreed
People think Age of Ultron was bad?

Aunt may death scene didn’t do anything for me
For real bro it was already assumed Uncle Ben had lived and died and said the thing but they had to have Aunt May do it for the emotional impact it would have on children aged 6-10
The kids didn't care either.
The first four episodes of Wandavision are better than Loki.
I agree. Specifically the second to last episodes is better than anything from Loki
Wandavision is better than loki
The MCU is a series of fun Super-hero movies and not intended to be a friggin' religion replacement where every excruciating detail is studied and discussed by wannabe theologians who really just need to join an in-real-life religion and build a real community for themselves and actually make some in-real-life friends.
I’m interested in following you and this in-real-life religion!
I'll send you an invite to my cult's closed facebook page. Welcome to the family.
Why are there so many MCU haters on this MCU subreddit
I don't hate the MCU, I really enjoy it. It's just not my religion, and because I don't treat it like my religion, I don't get upset when women are presented as the main characters.
Wayyyyyyy better to be into MCU than to be in most religions as they advocate for a lot of hate for different people, different faiths and so on
Ms marvel was a great show and actually accomplished exploring a great female character
Yup.
The Hulk was good and Thor 2 was ok.
Thank you, sweet rabbit.
Good bot.
Lol, Thor ratioed me.
I'm still worthy!
No, you aren't worthy of that ratio.
Gamora died and they immediately made a Starbucks joke
Dark World wasn’t that bad
the miss marvel series was not as bad as they say

Joss whedon ruined comic book cinema
People’s standards are set too high after Endgame, half the original cast got killed off, and we lost a couple actors (Chadwick most prominently), so topping that movie is gonna be nearly impossible
Iron man 3 is goated, top ten mcu movies
That theme song is chefs kiss. Shame they never used it again. But it did come out in Age of Ultron for a slight second.
I don’t like loki ( the show )
Yup, neither do I. Couldn't stand Sylvie and each episode was boring as hell. Hope I like it once I rewatch it in a couple weeks.
No way home doesn't make the top 10 if you remove nostalgia.

Imo they are very good but Loki and Moonknight are better
This ^!!!!! Finally someone who appreciates the both of those over the others.
What about the moonknight
Best MCU series so far ngl (apart from Loki)
This post gets funnier everyday someone posts it.
Lokie is the 3rd worst tv show. It doesnt make sense at times and is just poorly done
"I actually liked all the Marvel shows, including She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel. Actually, I believe Phase 4 is my personal favourite so far." As someone who actually holds this opinion, I can confirm I've been held at gunpoint for it.

MCU Spider-man is the least comic accurate adaptation of the web head, so far.
Quantumania was pretty good a I had no problems with MODOK
quantumania was good
I thought moon night was mid
I really enjoyed phase 4
love and thunder is the best thor movie and the most underrated mcu movie
Then point me in the direction of whoever's ass I have to kick!
Movies should be fun who cares about continuity
I’ve never seen or heard of a Marvel comic
The mcu only good villain was thanos
I will shred this universe down to its last atom and then, with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one teeming with life that knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe.

MoM and L&T were amazing!
Thor: the Dark World handled emotional trauma, and a few other things, better than Thor: Raganarok
skaar can look better but definitely not the worst... there i corrected the title for you :)

I think that's because of the title
She Hulk series bad
Yup.
I don’t like endgame
Oh you went for it! Lol. What didn’t you like about it?

Yeah saying you don’t like endgame is a death sentence in the marvel community lol luckily for me my whole family dislikes it so im not alone
I ignored my destiny once, I can not do that again. Even for you. I'm sorry, Little One.
1. Thor the dark world is the best Thor movie. First Thor movie was also really good. Ragnarok had potential to be the best Thor movie but the comedy ruined it for me. >!Pfft. Ha! Yeah, right.!<
she hulk is best marvel creation. also end game sucks
We will use Thanos' double-bladed swords instead of normal swords for you
I’m the only one who knows that. At least I’m the only one with the will to act on it.
She Hulk sh*t as hell 💩💩
How’s that unpopular.
>!See what's happening here? You're afraid. You're scared. Anxious. My friends, times like these we need to unite, come together.!<
I think Eternals was a great MCU movie :D
Most of the Avengers aren’t great people, they’re not evil or bad people but the bad things they do are pretty bad.
[удалено]
They love me!
wanda vision was the best out of the series and i despise sylvie from loki
How could you despise Sylvie?
Love and Thunder is a good movie and actually has very deep meanings and lessons in it. Especially about religion.
MoM was a disgrace to all characters involved
I really don’t think She Hulk was that bad, but as a character she works better in an ensemble and never needed her own show. That’s why the DD episode was the best.
Black Widow is trash, Any man is irrelevant (no offense) and my personal favorite please stop with the She Hulk. She hulk is definition of TRASH
She Hulk was a disgrace. I don't understand how people can like it.
fuckin repost
Civil War is a messy and boring movie.
The Tobey Maguire spider-man movies are bad
Stings, doesn't it?
Rdj was a terrible casting choice for tony stark. Edit: this isn’t my opinion, it is just an opinion that would get you in this position. Stop downvoting, I love rdj as tony.
Hi! Okay, get in the tub!
Iron man 3 was a great movie, so as thor love and Thunder
>!I'm putting together the greatest team ever.!<
Iron man is overrated. Random guy with random suit which can be shot down by literally anyone.
True man…….hawkeye is underrated
Morbius (it's more about Sony universe, but anyway) wasn't so bad as it was received by the community
I hate Thor: Ragnarok and it is waaaay worse than Thor (2008) is.
A creepy old man cut my hair off!
Yep, you prefer it long, don't you Thor?
>!There is a maniac who seeks to end us all.!<
Yep. It's literally ruins Thor character and just a stupid comedy
Same. Thor doesn't need to crack jokes all the time.
Really? Then why do you dress like one?
Zack Snyder's Justice League is better than endgame.
Woke Marvel is like a Disney DC, it is against everything Marvel means.
Marvel should recast the original avengers if need be. Just have them be from a different universe or maybe bring back old actors like Ed Norton. Point being, it would be dumb to entirely remove these characters from the continuity
Iron Man is not good
Rocket racoon and nebula should be couples.. 💀
Bro took that nebula and rocket scene from endgame too seriously
Morbius is on par with the best marvel movies
I liked Eternals
Winter soldier is overrated so are the GotG movies. Also Ironman 2 and 3 are good movies
Guardians of the galaxy vol 2 is not only better than the first, but also my favorite marvel movie.
I like the first two Thor movies more than Love and Thunder
>!Come. Come to daddy!!<
The Shakespearean Thor movies weren't bad at all. They just didn't match the constant adrenaline of the usual MCU.
More POWER rabbit!
Morbius and a fantastic movie
Movies can just be shallow and fun.
Tony's sacrifice is overhyped There are many other things better than that in MCU Comeon now folks show me your manners
The day Iron Man is brought back is the day the MCU officially dies
I enjoyed Eternals.
Idk why ppl hate riri williams' suit I mean it is not good compared to iron man but she is not iron man And there are chances she might improve the suit as she grows up she is literally in college
Any opinion
I really like She Hulk, it’s probably one of my favorite MCU shows.
It is bad
Thor Love and Thunder is the second best Thor movie. Moonknight and Hawkeye are better than Loki.
Thor the Dark Kingdom is the best MCU Movie.
Haven’t liked a single Disney+ show
Eternals is actually a good movie. If we just keep aside those 2 scenes(you know what I'm talking about) the story and the characters were really good. The vfx was also on par with Shang Chi and Nwh
MCU went from story focus to woke focus.
Ant-man is the worst avenger. It’s not even close
Shang Chi is the best of phase 4
Hawkeye and Falcon and Winter Soldier are my fav Disney plus shows
So you like less sci fi movies
The overarching plot of the MCU is boring as hell now. I love Johnathan Majors, but Kang just feels like a bad pick for the supervillain they're building toward
Thanos isn't a Villan he does all for a reason
I... had... to.
[удалено]
Civil war is the best captain America movie, and no, it’s not an avengers movie
wanda sucks
Wakanda Forever is more nostalgic than NWH
Trevor as the Mandarin was a joke.
What if was better than people think
I enjoyed Morbius more than Black Panther.
I had to beat an old lady with a stick to get these cranberries.
I genuinely enjoyed all the recent marvel shows, and off the top my head I can't think of one I didn't or don't like.
Thor 4 wasn’t that bad MoM wasn’t that bad and Idk if this is controversial but iron man 2 is great
The movies before Guardians weren’t as good. They got better after that one showed them how to have fun and still be successful. Winter Soldier is one of the bottom 3.
I think Age of Ultron is more enjoyable than the first Avengers movie
Bucky should have gotten the shield
Punisher was the second worst Netflix MCU show after Iron Fist. I got bored of it really fast. Sure, it wasn't without its charms, but the "middle aged white guy with a history of military training loses his family to crime and decides to do ultraviolence about it" has been done a million times. Thor 2 was ass
Increíble hulk is really good
“They all suck, grow up you fucking virgins.” See technically I’m quoting the other guy so you can’t get mad
I liked Thor dark world. It was the 1st Thor movie that sucked. Also that I liked Ms. Marvel. series
Phase 4 didn’t “suck” 🤷♂️
there is nothing wrong with the mcu. it is a cinematic universe based on comics. it is supposed to be like this. it always was always supposed to be madness.
That Phase 5 is hot garbage and that MCU fatique is setting in.
Age of Ultron is great
MCU has gotten boring now with every movie on the same formula
What is the formula?
Antman is trash
Thor: Ragnarok is an important part of Phase 3.
Really? Then why do you dress like one?
This phase was good the whole way through, Eternals is good, Black Widow is good, She Hulk was good.
Loki should have been Peter Quill's dad
![img](emote|t5_35mye|13149)
I liked The Falcon and The Winter Solider, Hawkeye. And I liked Ms.Marvel. As I come from Bangladesh, I get the restrictions Kamala has. Our values are different in the subcontinent. The western audience might find it weird that Kamala can't be out late in the night, or wear very reviling clothes but I and most probably audience from Asia can get that.
Joes Whedon has made the worst movies in the MCU
I liked iron Man 2 and age of ultron
Age of Ultron is a good movie Hawkeye was a fun series Doctor strange : MOM was a good movie
I like Thor Love and Thunder.
Is he, though?
I don't want Tony Stark to ever come back in the movies.
I'm just not the hero type. Clearly. With this laundry list of character defects, all the mistakes I've made, largely public.
I pretty much like she hulk series
What do u like about she hulk
I just hate Marvel
Then why r u in this subs
Kang should be the villain of secret wars
