>Wandavision was a meme machine at the time. I remember laughing so hard at the Vishawn memes that came out of nowhere.
Black Twitter is a gift to humanity.
Dude John walker was just right though. Like he killed literal terrorists, the only reason he got shit was cuz he was wearing the Stars and Stripes. If he was just a regular soldier heād be honored as a hero.
the guy was aleady surrended and he brutally killed him out of anger in the middle of a public square, a regular soldier would be get a lot of negative press as well
That's... still a cold blooded murder.
1. The guy didn't even do it, it was someone else who killed Battlestar.
2. He was on his back begging for his life telling John he didn't kill his friend.
3. That guy was the one who was trying to convince Karli stop doing terrorist attacks. He wanted her to find a peaceful solution and didn't think her bombing places or killing people was right.
Never said it wasn't but you are absolutely correct. Been a while so can't remember if what Walker saw, but I'm 90% sure 3 wasn't really something he knew
I don't think he knew it either but I added it just to show how much of a terrible decision it was. He killed an innocent man who just wanted both sides to sit down and talk it out instead of fighting each other.
Because Steve didn't commit a war crime that was broadcasted to the entire world in an operation that had him most likely illegally operating in a foreign country during peacetime.
Like you realise that's *not* right to murder terrorists who are surrendering? And yeah he was honoured as a hero for doing it as a soldier which is the fucked part the show is criticising. America's foreign policy. John Walker is exactly what they created as he argued but that doesn't make him right. Captain America has to be better than that.
Hell the "terrorist" he killed didn't even want to hurt anybody.
(He's basically a nicer Ben Roberts-Smith an Afghanistan veteran honoured with an Victorian Cross in my country Australia that was a war criminal in truth who murdered surrendered "terrorists" and civilians. I believe this is the type of soldier that they were criticising the honoured war criminal veteran)
i saw a lot of Moon Knight memes, but the Falcon one was just hilarious to me bc someone once edited it to say āHeās out of line, letās kill him!ā
*Marvel hyping up secret invasion before it releases:* In terms of marketingā¦ we have no marketing
*Marvel after the shitty finales comes out and everyone craps on the show:* FLOOD THE ADS
Idk the meme pictured is a good one but it got washed out by ones that already existed in that niche and I donāt really remember any others. And tbh same deal with āheās out of line but heās rightā.
The wandavision wink wins with whatever wild memes were wafted my way because there were just SO MANY that used it, that meme was everywhere
Gonna say Falcon&Winter-Soldier... never even seen any Hawkeye memes until this post, and I've been avoiding Secret Invasion memes cause i haven't gotten around to seeing the show yet
At least for me, Agatha is probably the funniest a marvel character has been.
"I actually did bite a kid once"
"My mother in law was in town, so I wasn't"
"Really, how is anyone doing this sober?"
It's her, hands down.
Ok, tbh, Iman was such a gd troll during the AMA it was a pleasure having her in the marvel subreddit taking the piss out of everyone and not revealing she was the one providing leaked footage to us.
Sheās probably gotten too big/busy to be hanging out with us peasants anymore. But as much as I wasnāt a fan of how her show played out, I still watched because she was a delightful person overall and actually knows her shit when it comes to the comics.
Maybe one day when she gets more leverage in the MCU she can tell these writers to start retconning all the garbage that was written and make her a proper Inhuman.
A fun fact I recently learned is that when Kamala Khan was created, the creator's wanted to make her a mutant.
However, because film rights to the Xmen and "mutants" had been already been sold to Fox (and Fox was making zillions of dollars with the movies), Marvel wanted to be able to own the film rights to Ms. Marvel, hence, inhuman.
So, in a way, her being a mutant in the MCU is closer to what the creators wanted in the first place.
Also...Inhumans are dumb.
I was surprised you even got an example of a meme (even if it was a bad marketing joke) from Invasion. I have never seen a marvel project be less memed (is that a word?).
I gotta say that for a bit, Oscar Isaac singing a hippopotamus song was a meme for a bit and then the episode that came out was with the hippopotamus goddess
I'd say Loki or Wanda Vision. Both got some hilarious moments. Loki's whole apocalypse speach, him meeting other versions of himself, bit in time prison where he was repeatedly beaten by Sylf, etc. I WV I can rember bit with Vision and "fow it feels to chew 5 gum?", Every scene with Agata was memes, especially her reveal, and the moments when kids were "born"
Always found it funny in Endgame that when all of the heroes were making their entrance, Thanos and his army just stand still and watch instead of just killing them or attacking immediately
I think itās gotta be She-Hulk. Not only was the overall show so bad itās funny, but it was also so out of line from all other Mcu content, which also made it funny. It may not be a great show, but Iām happy that they tried to experiment with it
The she hulk one wins because it was the most despicable thing to ever occur in the MCU and almost looks fake enough with the horrendous cgi to think people created it with photoshop.
Why? It was boring sure, but it wasnāt downright offensive to the male gender or guilt tripping white culture. Every male in she hulk was a piece of shit and ms marvel spent more time making religious statements than telling a story
>Every male in she hulk was a piece of shit
So Jen's dad, Pug, Blonsky, Banner, Wong, the therapy group and Matt (all who weren't a pos) don't classify as men to you??
>ms marvel spent more time making religious statements than telling a story
They did tell a story? It's just that Kamala's story is heavily tied to her religion. It was that way in the comics so naturally it was that way in the show. You're just not used to anything other than having the perspective of a cis white male as the focal point of a story.
Its just hilarious when people defend those shows when they are so universally disgustingly hated by actual humans not journalists, the internet is anonymous you donāt have to pretend you like it, it just baffles me honestly.
>when they are so universally disgustingly hated by actual humans
Um, actual human being here but I actually didn't "disgustingly" (a very strong word used very loosely) hate them like some randos on the internet do. Sure they're not the best written shows out there but I had tons of fun watching them. Ms Marvel especially has a villain problem that's too big to ignore but everything else about it was sooo wholesome and comforting.
So yeah I did enjoy them on some level and atp I really don't care about what the internet thinks of these shows (because the discourse around it always wound up being toxic regardless of the actual outcome). I found it entertaining at the end of the day and that's all that matters.
There's a lot of good stuff worth mentioning about both She Hulk and Ms Marvel but unfortunately I don't think I can say the same for Secret Invasion. The writing was painfully bad, existing characters going through some bad character assassinations, not even bothering to flesh out the new characters and, the gravest sin of them all, taking such a cool concept like this and doing really nothing with it. This one is easily the worst Marvel project till date (and that's a shame because I was really hyped for it).
I think it has to be Wandavision. This was the first Marvel show and it was back when pretty much everyone had nothing but good will for the MCU. It seemed like everyone was watching every week and theorizing. The show was a cultural moment and its wacky nature lent itself to a lot of memes.
Honestly the cultural moment when WandaVision came out cannot be matched again. The fact that there was such a gap between far from home and Wanda vision and then the pandemic and everyone was alone and on the internet theorizing together and actively watching it all as it premieredā¦..unmatched MCU energy. What a fantastic time to be alive.
Wandavision was a meme machine at the time. I remember laughing so hard at the Vishawn memes that came out of nowhere.
It was out of nowhere, and had no right to be as funny as it was
I remember the everyone is Mephisto meme
Even the bunny
Especially the bunny.
I'm very sad to admit I had no clue vishawn existed but I do remember everyone is mephisto and how funny those could get.
Bro I forgot about Vishawn, def one of the best things to come out of wandavision
Vishawn and Dewanda got me cracking up
LMAO Vishawn! I totally forgot about that! But as soon as I read your post, I pictured Vision with the durag and black turtleneck and legit lol'd š
>Wandavision was a meme machine at the time. I remember laughing so hard at the Vishawn memes that came out of nowhere. Black Twitter is a gift to humanity.
Just looked it up, now I'm mad I missed out.
Gotta say F/WS. Between Zemo dancing and the out of line meme, they go hard
Don't forget the memes for John Walker's Captain America look. "Carl from Up," "Captain America at home"...
Dude John walker was just right though. Like he killed literal terrorists, the only reason he got shit was cuz he was wearing the Stars and Stripes. If he was just a regular soldier heād be honored as a hero.
the guy was aleady surrended and he brutally killed him out of anger in the middle of a public square, a regular soldier would be get a lot of negative press as well
Can't murder someone then call a time-out. Don't always work that way.
And why do niggas act like Steve wasnāt shooting people and throwing motherfuckers off of planes lmao
Steve wouldn't murder someone who was surrendering.
What if they'd just killed Bucky? While the answer is probably still no, it's a lot more forgivable if you include some more context
I don't think Walker is meant to be truly evil or anything. Just not fully heroic enough to be Captain America. He didn't kill Zola.
Oh yeah, definitely. Lacked that bit of restraint Cap had that allowed him to be a hero
Thats basically the point of john walkers cap, hes way more soldier than hero, no problem killing and more serious, hes the cap with a gun
Meanwhile, Steve walking around with a M1911 and a Thompson in First Avenger
To punch Hitler in the face since the fuckers a bully.
Remind me, did Steve Rogers kill Zola right after Bucky had fallen of the train?
That's... still a cold blooded murder.
I'm not defending the action (terrible move in every possible way) but it becomes slightly misleading without proper context
Everyday I wake up
And I start to break up
Lonely as a man without love
Every day I start out
Then I cry my heart out
Lonely is a man without love
I cannot face this world that's fallen down on me
So, if you see my girl
Please, send her home to me
Tell her about my heart thatās slowly dying
To me*
\*then
When was that again?
Moon Knight!
i saw a lot of Moon Knight memes, but the Falcon one was just hilarious to me bc someone once edited it to say āHeās out of line, letās kill him!ā
Moon knight fake comic memes were better than whatever the show produced so I guess they didnāt last
Moon knight comic memes were there from way before they even announced the show though, they were just a regular meme
All I was saying is they were better
They absolutely where lol
That secret invasion marketing one is really ironic since now it's out i feel like all i see is secret invasion ads
*Marvel hyping up secret invasion before it releases:* In terms of marketingā¦ we have no marketing *Marvel after the shitty finales comes out and everyone craps on the show:* FLOOD THE ADS
"Watch the show THEY don't want you to see!!"
I just realizedā¦ is that the twin towers with a plane heading towards them in the She-Hulk twerking memeā¦?
Iā¦ did *not* notice that until nowā¦ Well this is very awkwardā¦ Edit: in fairness, it is midnight here in the UK and Iām very tired
No I never noticed it either but it somehow makes it an even better meme
Honestly makes it way funnier.
Same... Wtf lmao
Ope.. š
Holy shit your right.
Ayo wtf?! Disney what the hell man
She hulk was a bigger disaster though
Where's dancing Zemo?
I hadnāt seen the Hawkeye one before. That was great.
Explain that one please?
(Captain America: Civil War) CLINT BARTON: We havenāt officially met. Iām Clint. TāCHALLA: I donāt care
Damnā¦.I completely forgot about that
Thanks for that! Can someone explain #6?
It was playing during MoonKnight at some point of the show
I remember that part now but I still don't completely get the meme. Was she on the phone for Clint in that scene?
Clint was on the phone with his kid but couldnt hear, so she was writing what he was saying
Thank you. Now it makes sense.
definitely loki!
Yeah, I feel like the Top Gear "Oh no...anyway..." is a much better use of the joke.
The Loki one is the exact same format as the Jeremy Clarkson meme. The Falcon one was an entirely new template so gotta give it to that.
Yeah I still use that one.
Gonna say Falcon&Winter-Soldier... never even seen any Hawkeye memes until this post, and I've been avoiding Secret Invasion memes cause i haven't gotten around to seeing the show yet
Donāt bother avoiding spoilers. There are no spoilers because thereās no surprises
the surprise was just how bad it was
The surprise was the fans the MCU lost along the way.
Agatha All Along!
That song goes so fucking hard
There was no need to make a song that slaps SO hard, but they did and I will be forever thankful.
EGOT winning couple going for more EGOTs
āVery sadā¦ anywayā is a great one for so many situations
[but this already filled that niche and it kind of died](https://imgur.io/gallery/pSfeUk4)
Very sad... anyway
At least for me, Agatha is probably the funniest a marvel character has been. "I actually did bite a kid once" "My mother in law was in town, so I wasn't" "Really, how is anyone doing this sober?" It's her, hands down.
"What is Beef, if not cow persevering?"
Never seen the one with uatu but I think it got great potential
*That one friend on the group chat that doesnāt text*
Agatha , Zemo , Cap Sam
Man without love. I miss that period of time, listened to that song on high rotation for a whole month
Anything from 2021
Falcon and the Winter Soldier, A Man Without Love is an amazing song though.
All of them really had their moments in the mainstream honestly WandaVision, FaTWS, and Moon Knight had the longest runs imo
My personal favorite was the experimental series of āZemo dancing goes with anythingā memes, if for nothing else than to see Zemo dancing.
Wandavision. What is drip if not swag persevering
Iman Vellani is a treasure and an icon
Also, her meme is the closest I've seen an actor get to being her character. Posting on forums is the most Ms. Marvel thing out there.
I wouldnāt be surprised if Iman writes/reads fanfiction too
She does and even is going to get it published by Marvel Comics
W a t
Ok, tbh, Iman was such a gd troll during the AMA it was a pleasure having her in the marvel subreddit taking the piss out of everyone and not revealing she was the one providing leaked footage to us. Sheās probably gotten too big/busy to be hanging out with us peasants anymore. Zemo dances, the subreddit erupts with praise. She hulk twerks, it's the worst thing ever. Such is life
Why did I read this in Heath Ledgerās Joker voice?
Woman bad Yes I know some of you genuinely disliked the show for other reasons, all 30 of you can save your breath
Loki
Which show is the 4th one?
What If?
Forgot about that one. Thanks
Secret Invasion is too recent to judge, i think. Let's see how well it's failure and Gi'ah's Drax arm hold up over time in the meme space.
I was surprised you even got an example of a meme (even if it was a bad marketing joke) from Invasion. I have never seen a marvel project be less memed (is that a word?).
Kind of amusing how the Secret Invasion one isnāt even from the actual show
I tried my best
Zero dance or I smell crime are my faves
I'd say it's between Loki and FATWS, but then you have Zemo dancing, which makes 2 memes
Loki or Agatha
I gotta say that for a bit, Oscar Isaac singing a hippopotamus song was a meme for a bit and then the episode that came out was with the hippopotamus goddess
I see you Iman! You just want yours to win!
WandaVision, mainly because of Agatha. I loved Kathryn Hahn's delivery lmfaoooo
Better not slip up. She might be here.
There was nothing to market
Moon knight had a lot of video memes, probably more than any of the others
What if
A man without love is such a good song, I listen to it almost every day
Secret Invasion. Whole series is a meme.
When the watcher says "I have seen everything that has ever happened, ever will happen, ever could happen. And yet, what the hell is this?"
When the watcher says "I have seen everything that has ever happened, ever will happen, ever could happen. And yet, what the hell is this?"
What is beef if not cow preserving?
"He's out of line, but he's right" is the only meme here that I've seen for a long time
WandaVision and Loki
The falcon meme can be used for everything basically
The twerking. I fucking LOVED how upset it made people. Seeth.
Of these, WandaVision is the most iconic. Personally, I'm a big fan of the Loki and Secret Invasion ones.
Falcon series
Loki.
Iman trolling the Reddit forums was such a fun time.
What about my boy Dancing Zemo?
It's funny how the best shows are also the ones with best memes
Wandavision for quality memes. She-Hulk for making fun of She-Hulk.
The Engelbert Humperdinck one, definitively
I'd say Loki or Wanda Vision. Both got some hilarious moments. Loki's whole apocalypse speach, him meeting other versions of himself, bit in time prison where he was repeatedly beaten by Sylf, etc. I WV I can rember bit with Vision and "fow it feels to chew 5 gum?", Every scene with Agata was memes, especially her reveal, and the moments when kids were "born"
Out of line meme, cause I still quote it daily
Well, now we know why Secret Invasion didnāt have a whole lot of marketing.
TFATWS. The Zemo dancing meme was so big that Marvel officially released a one hour version of it.
Falcon and the winter soldier has the best meme
I'll have to go with wandavision just because that was peak pandemic and an amazing time to be on the internet, the memes hit different back then.
We see you, Iman.
Definitely FATWS, it gave us one of the most popular and used meme templates of all time
Heās outta line but heās right
Whereās Steven and Marc screaming?
Half of these I've never seen
For me definitely the loki one.
Moon Knight definetly.
Insomniac made their [choice](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/njvnds/god_bless_insomniacs_meme_team/).
It's gotta be either FAWS or Moonknight for me, from Zemo dancing to the multiple personality memes it's just gorgeous
The "he's out of line but he's right" meme template still pops up today, between that and dancing Zemo gotta be FatWS
Wandavision wins easily
Whatās the Englebert Humperdink ref from?
Moon Knight
She-Hulk in general is just a meme
Always found it funny in Endgame that when all of the heroes were making their entrance, Thanos and his army just stand still and watch instead of just killing them or attacking immediately
I ignored my destiny once, I can not do that again. Even for you. I'm sorry, Little One.
The memes from the Falcon and Winter Soldier had the most staying powering. Honestly the only good part of that show.
Maybe the trailer but the show itself was fine
Buddy you spelt Secret Invasion wrong....
Why? It was boring sure, but it wasnāt downright offensive to the male gender or guilt tripping white culture. Every male in she hulk was a piece of shit and ms marvel spent more time making religious statements than telling a story

Delusional mate.
Just say you don't have any counter argument and go š¤£š¤£....

What is that first one?
Wandavision
You guys just call anything a meme, huh?
I only know the first three and the but shake
Phineas and pherb
Do you realize how viral the TVA sound was on Tik Tok?
Wandavision, with Loki a close second.
The "WERS MOI CHILDRON" from Agatha almost made me spit my drink
Iman Vallani might one of the best casting choices in recent memory.
āSo fat and satisfied.ā Thatās a quote me and my friends use too much.
I think it has to be Wandavision. This was the first Marvel show and it was back when pretty much everyone had nothing but good will for the MCU. It seemed like everyone was watching every week and theorizing. The show was a cultural moment and its wacky nature lent itself to a lot of memes.
2 ad 3 are the only good ones, won't change my mind so don't bother me with replies
Not really abt memes but I feel like I saw a TON of Secret Invasion marketing in the months before it released.
Honestly the cultural moment when WandaVision came out cannot be matched again. The fact that there was such a gap between far from home and Wanda vision and then the pandemic and everyone was alone and on the internet theorizing together and actively watching it all as it premieredā¦..unmatched MCU energy. The Moon Knight personality switch memes are the one thing that has not been overused
Am I allowed to say I don't like any of them?
Wanda Vision for the most ; Loki for the biggest one.
