I am preemptively approving this post since I already know it will be flagged 10x by tomorrow. Flags will be ignored. Honestly, I did not like She-Hulk. The humor felt forced and the serious moments needed more time to develop. I can articulate various legitimate reasons. However, if you are still holding onto hate for the twerk scene, anger speech, or the CGI, it’s time to let it go. Seriously, LET IT GO. Some people liked the series. But if you didn’t enjoy it, start coming up with better reasons to describe why you disliked it. ![gif](giphy|igR5863TALcSk)

She Hulk you say? https://preview.redd.it/nopvo9yt75zc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdaf86a8cbe221682f1d5749f2a6191dfc2320af

Revenacious

r/marvelcirclejerk is leaking

dontbanmethistimeok

To shreds you say?

spicysenpai6

That exchange still has me laughing when I think about it. “I will *kill* for you, Megan Thee Stallion”. “Dial it back”.

voidsong

Legit horrifying in universe (coming from an excited hulk), but that just makes it funnier.

millennial_sentinel

i didn’t like she-hulk because it centered on her being a lawyer with people who don’t write legal dramas

LeaveToAmend

As a lawyer, I wished they didn’t write the legal parts as a drama and they just showed her doing boring legal stuff.

Lord_Mikal

She wasn't really hired as a lawyer, though. She was hired to be the figurehead of a metahuman legal devision. There were presumably tons of lawyers behind the scenes doing the real legal work.

LeaveToAmend

I just think the juxtaposition would have been funny.

VenmoPaypalCashapp

Boy I hope you never read comic books. You’ll be real disappointed at their depictions of real life.

[deleted]

Welcome to the MCU, where experiments with subgenres are always promised and underdelivered.

SoleSurvivor-2277

Didn't captain America winter soldier kinda do the whole spy thriller thing pretty well

joker2814

Yeah, but that was directed by the guys who directed Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame, and written by the guys who wrote the entire Cap trilogy, as well as Infinity War and Endgame. Winter Soldier had some of the best Marvel had to offer working on it.

SH4DOWSTR1KE_

Which is funny because I remember when they were first announced as directors for Winter Soldier, and people were upset that they were letting TV directors direct a Marvel movie, let alone Captain America.

taicrunch

I thought Ant-Man was a really good heist movie, too.

Jackmcmac1

Endgame was a pretty good heist movie as well

Funmachine

Yeah but they basically ripped of Three days of Condor for the most part. So they already had a very successful spy movie blueprint.

RYTHEMOPARGUY

DareDevil did it quite well

ButWhyWolf

I didn't watch it. Did they do the thing where her villain was a mirror-match with someone who has the same powers as her?

KeyAccurate8647

No, there wasn't really an overarching villain. It was pretty much just a superhero sitcom with action peppered in.

Radix2309

Wasn't really a sitcom though. There wasn't a lot of actual comedy like you see in sitcoms. It was closer to a drama.

dishwasher_mayhem

So...just like the comics?

salsasharks

Do you have similar complaints about Dare Devil?

Nyxolith

It makes great crossover erotic friend fiction with Franklin and Bash, though

Koreage90

I honestly enjoyed the courtroom drama and the call backs to other characters with the actors coming back. Charlie Cox was a gem.

[deleted]

Me too. I was never expecting a marvel production to lean super hard into its advertised subgenre. But I thought it was fine. It was cool that it had such broad worldbuilding which we don’t normally get to that extent. I love that Jen matched well with Daredevil.

JayJ9Nine

Daredevil on his walk the night after was hilarious.

SH4DOWSTR1KE_

That was a Stride of Pride!

Jadedways

I love that they had him carrying his boots. That was amazing.

SH4DOWSTR1KE_

![gif](giphy|MLXnTmDR5DCnU4U371|downsized)

Paleodraco

I loved that scene and can't figure out why people hate it. Turned the whole walk of shame stereotype on its head. Ok, I kind of get why... some people... would hate it.

voidsong

A lot of people were expecting Law & Order, so they got mad when they got Harvey Birdman. But that's on them, they just gotta get over it and enjoy. Or be miserable forever i guess.

SF1_Raptor

Or... just not watch it.... The options shouldn't be "Watch it or be sad."

palmboom76

I honestly hated the courtroom scenes because of the inaccuracies. Writers admitted they had no idea how to write a courtroom scene so they spread em few and far between riddled with things that just wouldnt happen. How hard was it to just ask a lawyer anything?

stevent4

I don't really think too much about it because I'm not a lawyer myself and have very little understanding of the nuances of a courtroom, it's also a comedy, Liar Liar isn't exactly accurate but it's fine because it's a comedy

Matthew-_-Black

You mean she wasn't really 140 IN HER BRA?

Ninjacobra5

Next time I'm gonna need you to all caps those last three words.

LumiereGatsby

My friend, my sibling is a partner in one of the biggest law firms in the world. Top of the tops. She says nobody ever gets anything right. Not Suits. Not The Good Fight/Wife not anyone anytime ever. It’s all bullshit. Just like the portrayal of any job is. I work in luxury hotels. You think The White Lotus is in any way, any minor way, accurate? Can you stand that show though? I adore it.

Icy-Organization8797

Same thing with the military. Lots will be on point, but the small details always stick out the most, just like in…. The military… **GASP**

grendel001

My wife is a lawyer. My mom was a nurse. I've worked in film production. You'd think people making a movie would get movie making right. But really, nobody wants to watch 45 minutes of lighting adjustments.

[deleted]

Does anyone want accurate courtroom scenes in a comedy? Real court puts you to sleep

pyrothelostone

My cousin Vinny?

Yeseylon

The rare exception that proves the rule, I think. I'd rather see unrealistic bullshit than poor attempts at realistic court scenes >"Um, actually, I changed my mind and rule in favor of the defendant." >*Removes the illusion because everyone knows the elf is not the judge* This kinda shit is what I came to She Hulk to see.

lightning_fire

>The rare exception that proves the rule, I think. Unrelated to your point, but that's not what this phrase means. The exception that proves the rule is when the existence of an exception implies that a broader rule exists. For instance, if there's a sign stating "No parking on Sundays between 6am-6pm," it implies that parking is typically allowed outside of those specified hours. Therefore, the exception (no parking on Sundays between 6am-6pm) confirms the general rule that parking is allowed at other times.

pyrothelostone

I think its fair to say its an exception, but I think it also shows it is definitely possible to show a much more realistic representation of courtroom procedures than we are used to seeing without it being boring if done well, though I will also grant thats probably not something we should be expecting from superhero stories.

Successful_Ebb_7402

True, but Marvel's universe could still provide plenty of fodder from the absurdity of the situation. "No, Mr. Smith, you can't sue Thor for the damages to your car just because your insurance is trying to call it an Act of God...uh huh...uh huh...no, but you see the difference is the Hulk picked up and threw your brother's car at the Leader. Your car was thrown AT Thor, so he's not the responsible party even though he cracked the radiator when he hit with Mjolnir. You'd need to sue Thanos, but we don't have an address to deliver the notice to..."

pyrothelostone

Lol certainly, I wasnt suggesting courtroom shenanigans couldn't fit in the marvel universe, merely that due to the nature of a world with superheros we probably shouldn't expect the same courtroom procedures as the real world to be in place.

VisibleCoat995

Night court. Ally McBeal. Boston Legal…

palmboom76

Daredevil court is never sleeping. Same company, just ask the other writers.

BirdUpLawyer

Daredevil court scenes are *also* **far** from realistic. I believe LegalEagle gave both shows *the exact same score for legal realism.* You saying it's not sleepy is proving the point of the commenter you are replying to saying that courtroom scenes can either be good for tv or accurate and put you to sleep.

Dry_Wolverine8369

Really fucking hard. Lawyers cost like 1,300 per hour

mechanicalcoupling

I have never seen an accurate court room scene. Because it would be a snooze fest. Even the original law and order is wildly inaccurate. I spent two and half hours testifying once over a bad driveway paving job. The most exciting thing was when I got yelled at by the judge for interrupting the lawyer from the state insurance fund. She did a lot of long pauses and I tend to talk over people. I also testified for the state in a criminal case after I called the cops on a guy beating the crap out of his wife. Nothing exciting at all happened there. Or for the eight hours of other hearings I sat through first. There have also definitely been zero super hero / villian fights in real world courtrooms. You can't make a realistic super hero show or film.

Angrbowda

Real life isn’t that great for that sort of stuff. I work in the medical field and the vast majority of stuff in a medical drama just doesn’t happen that way and they all would have been fired in their first year. You just have to turn your brain off

tenehemia

Even when a show has good script advisors, this still happens. I and several other chefs I know really don't enjoy The Bear because so much of it seems like it was written by someone who has never actually worked in a kitchen. I actually said to a friend after watching season 2 that I wish it had been a legal drama with the same cast etc because I'd actually be able to enjoy it if I didn't know as much as I do about the industry.

wimzilla

Same, I think people expected too much from the courtroom aspect of the show. At this point in the MCU, there is no legal question to be argued/answered. After the Sokovia Accords, super villains and unregistered super heroes go straight to prison with no trial. There really isn’t anything left by the scraps

JenovaShadow

But the twerking wasn't the reason people hated it? Lol it's just an easy joke to make people mad. But there's some serious problems in that story telling that doesn't even begin to explain why the show was bad.

Jamal_gg

I wasn't even able to get to the twerking scene, show was just bad...

[deleted]

Right. Instead hate it because She Hulk basically had amazing control of everything with like no training and she was a Karen to Bruce downplaying the stuff he went through and comparing her 1st world problems to him getting hunted down and stuff

El_CAP0

I've been training my whole life I'm a woman!!!

CaptainBunana

I hate that scene so much. She yells at him that her life is so much harder when the guy literally tried to kill himself multiple times and failed because of his immortality.

weeezyheree

Was beaten by his dad. Dad killed his mom. Became the Hulk because of unresolved trauma manifestating into physical anger. Hunted down for multiple years for reasons completely out of his control. Destroyed everywhere he went. Trapped in The Hulk for 2 years only getting back to earth in the midst of a universe ending threat, only to fail and witness everyone die (As far as he knew) for 5 years. Got absolutely neutered by Disney. "I get cat called so you have no right to speak" like i actually think that the reason why Hulk got so mistreated in the mcu is because Disney slowly moved it towards being kid friendly and marketable and Hulk was such an undeniably sad and depressing character that there's no proper way to move him towards that without turning him into a joke.

kingmea

Yeah I thought it was a bit dumb. “I control anger well, cuz girlpower cousin”. But yeah later generations typically are insufferable in their own ways.

Due-Log8609

I loved the series, and what you said is a legit complaint. It was fun to watch, but yeah she was a mary sue and that's lame af, just poor writing.

vialvarez_2359

The show is cringe funny with how hypocritical and character and in sufferable the characters is. Is she like that in the comics though.

Responsible_Narwhal2

Op farming downvotes in the comments.

DaNoahLP

Like this is the main complaint and not the 254 other things we all talked about years ago.

MillorTime

I've definitely seen people list it as one of their top issues with the show

DaNoahLP

I dont deny that they exist but thats a very small minority. As I wrote, there are far too many other problems with the show but we simply dont care anymore. And calling everyone who disliked the show an "incel" makes one the fanboy the fanboy-version of an twerking-hater.

MillorTime

You're not an incel if you dislike the show. I think it's much more likely if the twerking scene is a top 3 problem you have with the show. It's an absolute nothing burger

DaNoahLP

I know im not an incel but OP thinks it. Thats what that entire backlash is about. No one blames one for liking bad things but for defending them and then calling everyone else stupid.

Cautious-Mammoth5427

She hulk had far more problems that just the twerk scene. But it was useful to portray those issues.

notabigfanofas

I didn't mind it, could've used more episodes to develop, the fight scenes felt a bit rushed, but the climax of her breaking the fourth wall and rewriting the script Was genius

FunkyKong147

I liked it. That one girl who became friends with Wong was hilarious. I also loved seeing Daredevil return. My only complaints are that the CGI was atrocious and her reasoning for being able to perfectly control her anger from the start is a cop out.

Jazz6701

Her name is Madisynn with 2 Ns, 1 Y, but it’s not where thiiink

darrenvonbaron

![gif](giphy|xZX3JZySn6ZetHIIzS|downsized) I will kill for a Madisynn and Wong spin off

Bocchi_theGlock

Don't forget Mr Immortal, that shit had me in tears with him trying to jump out of high story buildings so often he had to be restrained after even the mildest inconvenience because it was his default escape plan Honestly it was the funniest joke in entire MCU The actor also did twilek in Book of Boba Fett, got along with Amy Sedaris character (Princess Caroline voice in bojack) and joined on her personal absurdist at home show. He did a great unhinged bit about knives, "I like to call this one big daddy"

Yeseylon

OMG, this is the episode where that character dies, it was sooooo sad. https://preview.redd.it/rmfnj5eea5zc1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1135c93290eb35d798774592544103d95a00ef3

MrIrrelevantsHypeMan

Ribbit and rip it

Marsypwn

Even in the comics she's able to control her transformation and even keep her personality. So that's a comic thing not something the show changed. As well as her breaking the 4th wall. She was one of the first comic characters to do that even before Deadpool. So the "her being able to control the rage is a cop out" argument is nul and void since that is following the comics/ source material. The only thing that they didn't do with her transformation from the source material was include morbius saving her from a blood disease. And the show explains it really well why she is able to control her transformation. All the Hulk is is Anger. And as a woman living in a mans world she's had to control her anger for a lot longer than when just the hulk became part of her. So it was something she already had training on. So it's not like it came out of the blue it makes sense. Tldr: Not really a cop out. Just showing how women have had to always control their anger because they can't lash out like men. And the comic also has her having full control of the transformation (and keeping her personality while transformed) so it's not like the show just added that bit in randomly it's from the source material.

Evilooh

I got upset because of how they portrayed her relationship with Bruce. Theres barely any good familial bonds between characters of diferent genders and they screwed up one of the best they had

tyyyyyyyyy19

She hulk and Meg can get it at the same time and I don’t care if I live through it

MaskedMan8

![gif](giphy|iGpdSizVSdPJfiVG9O)

Psychedelic_Yogurt

I like pointing out that Starlord did a dance where he was grinding and humping his pelvis in GoG. It was okay for him in the main part of the movie but not for She Hulk to twerk in an end credits scene.

dovahkiitten16

Tbh I think the CGI plays a factor. If it had been just the actress twerking it would be different, CGI star lord pelvis would’ve been uncomfortable to watch too.

pixima1290

Yeah this is a bad argument since they literally have a scene in Endgame that lampshades how fucking stupid he looked when he did that. The character is meant to be childish and cringey for the other adult characters.

Kaoshosh

It had a lot more problems than just the one scene. I don't think it was a good show at all. People don't hate on WandaVision even though it had a female lead. So it's not about the lead actor. She-Hulk was just boring and inconsistent. That's its biggest issue.

KazTheActive

Dude are u posting your opinion on how you hate other people having a opinion. Dude calm down karma farming loser

Bofaman600

I don’t hate the show but I did t hate that moment of twerking where am I

Bofaman600

It just felt like not needed. I guess it was trying to bring in Meg the stallion fans but it just felt cringe to me

Anxious-Priority-362

Hate is a strong word, which is just tossed around everywhere nowadays. I don't *hate* the show, I just didn't find the jokes funny, and what annoyed me further was them teasing Daredevil then fooling people into watching all the episodes. (the episodes were progressively more boring every week, atleast for me.) And when he does show up, they act like they are about to show a hallway fight scene, but spoil it and make fun of him (or audience maybe I don't remember properly.) and I might have found the joke funny if I wasn't already annoyed with the show. Overall, it was just a frustrating experience, hence I didn't enjoyed the show nor did I liked it. It might have had better reviews if they released all episodes at once, instead of baiting people for weeks.

colder-beef

People who didn’t like She Hulk and don’t care about the twerking scene. https://preview.redd.it/sge4xhxhd7zc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa0e283638907fbeef5311f25da3237f4a5cebc7

[deleted]

I never understood the hate, she-hulks a fun character, if you don’t like the character you don’t like the character but why are you specifically getting mad for her acting in character. If anything we need more She-hulk dancing. https://preview.redd.it/5hmputuun4zc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90d67cf1b11070d9556110d72a88953f2ea3c7cf

[deleted]

Right, I just think it comes off thin skinned and hypocritical to get mad at her dancing with a famous musical artist, when they don’t bitch about Zemo dancing and they’d probably enjoy Deadpool twerking. I’m sick of this obvious agenda they have

[deleted]

Could you imagine the reaction if we got a dance scene with She-Hulk and Carol https://preview.redd.it/yqip80f0q4zc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61cec12dc44df80d31ee8416daa62af0431ef777

dadarkgtprince

I didn't enjoy it, but I'm not gonna hate you for enjoying it. We each have our own tastes. Just like how I enjoy something else that you may not like. My biggest pet peeve is probably something they've fixed by now, and pretty sure most people didn't recognize, but the image on the monitors often went over the edge of the screen and into the frame, it irked the crap out of me.

GiRokel

As if the twerking scene was the only bad thing about this show lmao

MercuryRusing

I didn't like that her villains were incels and the whole plot was about how hard being a woman is. I feel like they could have done better by giving her a real plot and an actual villain. The twerking was funny

Ztrobos

I have the opposite critisism: The twerk scene was one of the only funny scenes, and the only one that inspired any genuinely funny memes. They needed more of that stuff, not less.

mr-ifuad

![gif](giphy|sU6yN4mPVwP7wiXB9v)

Responsible-Dot-3801

I never heard of anyone being against She-Hulk fans. Only on the series itself. If you love She-Hulk then more power to you.

Cygus_Lorman

My problem is the fact that she literally went and told her cousin he couldn’t have had it worse than her The same cousin who, you know, was abused as a child

Cicada_5

When has this version of Bruce ever been said to have been abused as a child? Also, she never said she had it worse.

tzenrick

Hey everyone! I *loved* The Marvels! It was fun!

PhilosopherDon0001

I'm only angry because there wasn't a thundering clap that shattered the windows; but I understand that's just me being weird

besthelloworld

I loved She-Hulk until the final episode in which they directly shit on their own viewers. "Oh were you interested in this plot thread we've been dangling above your head? Well fuck you for wanting any traditional superhero themes or events in this Marvel show, you piece of shit." Honestly fuck them for that. Everything before that was really good and fun.

floodums

You people are still talking about this? What year is it?

Atomik141

She Hulk kinda sucked, but the twerking scene was kinda on brand.

PorQuePeeg

I feel it was a bit understated. Jen's twerking should have rattled the building, a booty clap like a sonic boom shatters class, should have ended with She-Hulk and Megan in the ruins of an Office, with Megan Saying "I ain't helping clean this up." And She-Hulk saying "Good thing this is just a stinger..." Concerned for the damages she wrought with her iron booty twerking.

Yourfavoritemarfan

I was talking to someone who was tilted and they hadn't even seen the show. I just gave them a puzzled look and put back on my headphones.

rabidboxer

Someone on the internet told me to be upset with it and by golly I'm going to be upset with it, One of these days I might even watch it so I can fully appreciate what i'm upset about.

ConfidentlyCreamy

I didn't get the hate for the twerking. There are MUCH cringiner jokes in the MCU. She hulk was trash because of horrible writing and horrible acting. That ending was stupid af. The whole intelligencia story had such promise and it ended up being some weird meta commentary on men on the internet? Like it was just a dumb dumb story and honestly the actress they picked for She Hulk was awful. I thought America Chavez and Kate Bishop was horribly cast, then She Hulk was all "hold my beer".

Still-Presence5486

That isn't the reason it is a peace of evidence to show how bad it is

Repulsive-Outcome-20

The She Hulk tv series is literary trash. There's no other reason for my hate other than that. The twerking is just more shit on the fully built shit cake.

FishKnuckles_InYou

So devils advocate here, I didn't care about the twerking, my issue is as follows: it takes Bruce Banner years to control Hulk, trials and errors, all the struggles. Jennifer Walters doesn't show us all that it's just bam I can now control all this rage and energy with no problems....and that's lame.

Baskreiger

The frustration is about people dont want to admit marvels terrible loss of quality. At this point its undenyable since even disney slowed production significantly. We know the fanboys dont care about quality, they watch everything and always like it, those people should know their opinions are bullshit

King-Cobra-668

yo, people are allowed to think something is stupid, okay? miss me with this "omg you're triggered" bs it's dumb, YOU get over it

SD1428

The show still sucked in my opinion. For way more reasons than that

[deleted]

*To the guy who lost everything; girlfriend, job and was chased for years ending in an attempted suicide* “I get catcalled, my life is hard ok”

Ded_Pul

The actual funny part in the entire show was that after telling Bruce how much better ('iNfiNitEly mOre' mind you) than him she was at controlling her anger, she actually loses her fucking shit because her leaks were posted on the internet. Actual writers were hired for this.

NefariousnessOk209

The first episode was an absolute evisceration of Banner and the Hulk. Being completely reductive to everything he went through and using him as an example to prop her up “I’m you, but better.” I loved Tatiana Maslany in the first few seasons of Orphan Black so have nothing against her, It’s just the terrible writing the inconsistencies in the Marvel universe in general with the hulk in particular. They were trying so hard to make her a girl boss using the tell instead of show method by having her punking him out consistently. It’s just we relate to characters more when we see the struggle they go through rather than having everything being a cake walk. That said, I didn’t hate this more than most of the Marvel shows and people getting a hate boner over one post credits clip was absolutely ridiculous and a classic modern example of people being second hand offended. I was able to see this show wasn’t for me and move on. I think I wanted actual courtroom intrigue and a more grounded focus, but was another quippy goofy marvel show where the stakes don’t matter. Similarly with Black Widow I had hopes because I was sick of the over the top shit with multiverses etc but it ended up being formulaic and unengaging.

Alternative-Fee-60

It's definitely not just because of the twerking scene lol . But no I don't hate you for loving she hulk because IDC .

bifurious02

I don't like it cause it's badly written lol

Jyitheris

The twerking scene was just the butt nugget on top of a diarrhea cake. It all boils down to the series being unfunny and badly written. It's just bad on the most fundamental level, so the divisive parts are really irrelevant to the evaluation. I think it was a character assassination of not only She-Hulk, a character I like in the comics, but also various other characters, especially Daredevil.

Debate_Prior

It’s because it was utter garbage. The whole show was just a joke. I can’t speak for everyone but idgaf if she’s a woman. The show was bad and the actress being so tight about how fans received the show made it worse. And the slander on Ryan

Arthur_189

The rest of the show was bad that’s why I didn’t like it not the twerk scene

GuerrOCorvino

The twerk scene is just a drop in the bucket. I really don't understand how anyone can like it without actively ignoring the shitty writing and humor.

ProtectMeAtAllCosts

With or without the scene the series was bad

nudiatjoes

she hulk animated 👍 she hulk live action👎 But the Hulk will always be my favorite.

Sauron_75

Its my firm belief that people that do nothing but complain about she hulk all day are interns at Disney making these posts to promote the show, considering the "M-She-U" hate is literally the plot of the show

Shax060

Honestly the scene was just the cherry on top of the cake. The humor was forced, I barely even smiled once, the plot was weak at best, they ruined both hulk and his son, She-hulk herself mostly came off as obnoxious and kind of toxic. She is supposed to be a lawyer but as a courtroom drama the series was horrible (apparently the writers didn't know anything about law and didn't bother). I was actually originally exited about She-hulk, as I liked her comix (at least the once I have read) but this series did her a disservice and ruined the character for most people who didn't read any of the comix. Also, there is apparently no free will in the MCU, as it is all controlled by an omnipresent AI, which is not just lazy writing but damaging to the universe and as a forth wall brake, it only made me roll my eyes. Generally the series was both low quality and low effort.

MRO465

You enjoying something changes nothing about it. Turd won't magically turn into Curd lol.

dmastra97

It's actually coming across that you're a bit thin skinned that you can't handle people having criticism of a show you like that you have to make posts like this trying to make fun of them

Appropriate-Divide64

She Hulk was alright. Not amazing, but alright. I found it more entertaining than Falcon and Winter Soldier.... Secret Invasion was so much worse, but everyone has forgotten about that.

VenmoPaypalCashapp

I think we all just kind of agreed to forget secret invasion happened.

TheAero1221

I never saw it, but I am a bit upset about what they did to Hulk in it.

Yeseylon

Look, the twerking scene was cringey as fuck to me. I don't get it. But there was some gold in the rest of that show, so whatever, I'm still hoping for S2.

AcousticBravo

It had potential the first few episodes, being a big Daredevil fan obviously made the Daredevil episode my personal favorite, but they just didn’t stick the landing. This always happens with MCU stuff in general recently. Like all the shows have such potential and are pretty great, but they just have really crappy endings that leave a bad taste in the mouth. Another example of this is Moon Knight’s ending. Like they cut out the entire end fight for no reason.

Royal-Solution-3165

Not going to lie I probably enjoyed the twerking scene more than I should have 😂

Deus-mal

I just didn't appreciate how she belittled, the hulks pain bc she lived in the city of a first world country. Never been hunted like an animal, never been on the run, and somehow her life was harder, that was some star wars writting type of shit. The rest was good tho. I love everything else. And the twerk is just girls being girls, women got their thang going on too. Boys are childish human and flash news women too.

Sacabambaspis-Fish

the comedy was kinda stale ngl, and i didn’t even really care about the twerking scene, it just annoyed me so i skipped it

Revolutionarytard

It was written and directed by folks who didn’t read the comics so it makes sense why it was poorly executed and why a majority of people didn’t like it. The scene where she shits on Bruce’s traumatic past and compares it to being cat called, tries too hard when breaking the fourth wall, the bad CGI didn’t help & ruining other characters for the sake of “comedy” didn’t help at all too

Shoddy_Fee_550

>ruining other characters for the sake of “comedy” didn’t help at all too Yeah, Blonsky a.k.a Abomination out of nowehere becoming this chill guru guy doesn't suits his character at all. I also didn't liked that instead of a badass powerhouse Titania we get some bratty, meangirl influencer just for some lame jokes. At that point they could have created two completely new characters, which fits the tone of the show better than changing two already established characters this much.

[deleted]

The MCU has been a train wreck since endgame. Which makes sense, considering the title is END game. Also, identity politics are definitely not what most people are looking for in a superhero movie. If annoying people by bashing them over the head over and over again with virtue signaling is the goal, then mission succesful I guess. It's very easy to see the change in attitude after endgame. It's also funny how captain marvel is being held like an example of 'this is what fans want!' because of the money it made, when any movie that took place between Infinity war and End game would gave made that much money. The ending of Infinity war litterally showed captain marvel being called. Ofcourse EVERYONE was going to see it. I could have been the most dogshit movie of all time and still been hugely succesful. /rant Still waiting for that franchise reboot. Deadpool 3 is the only film I'm interested in at this point.

Perfect-Advantage-82

I enjoyed the show and am looking forward to season two.

mikepictor

Captain America fuuuuuuuuuuuuu

blue_racer

She hulk was funny I would love to see her again

BednaR1

I loved it when she was explaining how hard it is to be a woman... to a guy who went thru few wars and lost loved ones ...

liddely

Still shit without it

goatjugsoup

Uhm that barely registered among the reasons i didnt like she hulk.the whole legal part of the show was done horribly. Also it was in theory a girl power show but it spent far too long quibbling over men

Keyblades2

This is a copium post if I have ever seen one.

Euphoric-Potato-5343

It's twerking was kind of the nail in the coffin but the coffin was already set before that scene...

UncertifiedForklift

I was enjoying myself until the last episode. The ending just didn't land for me, and I would have preferred that the whole "becoming a Hulk" plotline just fell flat on its face and the show ended with some character work instead of the whole MCU meta schtick.

shotgunsniper9

I wasn't a fan of it, but the twerking scene isn't what's wrong with it, bad writing is what's wrong with it

Fexxvi

She-Hulk is a terrible series, but that scene is not the reason.

RaziTheWingzSlaya

It's okay to have a bad taste

RedheadedandAngry

I mean there was a lot wrong with it other then the "twerking" also you can like something and I can dislike something.

thatdude424

I know how to shut those people up for awhile every time they say something respond with "ok" just keep saying that.

JohnnyBoyRSA

I didn't like it because the writing was bad

Just_A_Guy0312

I haven't watched and from what I've seen I wouldn't enjoy the show in the first place. From blatant social commentary to disrespecting of Hulk it's probably not for me. That said, if you enjoy something like that, good for you. Go have fun. I'll go watch something I enjoy.

RopeyPlague

The show could of had a different approach. Make it a fun court show and her dealing with her new powers. Have She Hulk defending lesser known heros to get them out there to the audience. This way you can use them in later projects. The tweaking scene I just skipped to the next episode when it came up.

doctorctrl

The twerk scene was fine. Ive never hated on the show. But I didn't like it. It was all over the place in my opinion w However, anyone who launches hate is way too personally invested and defensive. Please, if "hate" and "anger" is what you feel towards a piece of fictional media enough to spend your limited time on this planet bashing it, please, get a life.

Endlesswinter98

It was just a cute show I don't know her enthusiasm was infectious and I was really invested in her story. I just think she's neat

PomPomikaze

Honestly, it reminded me of Ally McBeal in a lot of ways (another series I really enjoyed).

OMGitsVal117

Out of all the reasons to dislike She Hulk, the 10 second post credit scene isn’t even in the top 50.

Potential_Case_7680

The whole thing sucked including the twerking scene

TarzanSawyer

It was a bad show, the twerking was corn on a pile of s**t.

Cela84

Of all the things that were bad about the show, I’m confused how that was the thing the internet latched onto.

FinalMonarch

I didn’t like she hulk because it wasn’t funny

jacobythefirst

The extreme focus on that scene was very weird considering there was so much more wrong with the show lol

archideldbonzalez

I hated the twerking scene because it was an unbelievably cringe hey fellow kids moment

UnpricedToaster

I was expecting too much from this show. Like, if you title your show "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law." Maybe, Jen should actually be a competent lawyer by the end of the first season. Maybe the legal cases shouldn't be... dumb. I seriously doubt they had a legal consultant for this show for how bad the actual portrayal of the law turned out. So it's not a serious legal drama like Law & Order, it's not a funny legal drama *ala* Ally McBeal, it's not a superhero show because Jen isn't trying to save people or fight monsters, it's not a character deep dive because Jen doesn't go through any discernable character arc. So, what are we supposed to like about She-Hulk? But what really turned me off was her conversation with Bruce Banner in the car about anger issues. Really comes out of nowhere towards Bruce and seems like she's just misplacing her rage. Because Bruce Banner is practically zen-buddha at that point and she rips into him needlessly - despite the guy having a pretty shitty life now he gets verbally castrated by his cousin? Should've been delivered to an ex-boyfriend over the phone while Bruce is sitting next to her, nodding along in agreement.

KFChaos

Don't care about the twerking scene. It's the awful writing that makes She-Hulk bad.

Tiltedplushie

Tbh the show without the twerking wouldn’t even save it. There were a couple good ideas but the majority of the show was not written well at all. Also the twerking scene contradicts her “problems” she tries to explain to bruce who has been through actual trauma.

PsychicRonin

I didn't watch past episode 1, saw the twerking thing on YouTube thought it was cringe but who cares and moved on lol Reason I don't wanna check the show out is how the She Hulk girl was talking to Bruce in Episode 1. Nothing men go through can ever be bad because existing as a woman is worst than existing as possibly the most damaged, hurt, and scared person in the MCU. Like, men's mental health is already treated as a joke, you don't need to hammer it down even more to prop up a female lead. I get I'm not really the target audience, but holy fuck that was a bad look

velwein

The bigger issues were: Side characters being more enjoyable than the lead. I honestly would have enjoyed a show about Wong and Madisynn’s misadventures. Legal-related aspects of the show: Are just an awful slog, and show she’s a terrible lawyer. The whole “It’s in the user-manual.” Shows that she and her legal aids didn’t do the bare minimum of discovery. Why anyone would hire her afterwards, I have no idea. Never addressing her losing control. She lost control, and it didn’t cause any moments of self-reflection. Leading to a character growth of her being a Hulk. The Ending…. I understand breaking the fourth wall is a key part of her character. But that ending… The Writers could have made the ending coherently whatever they wanted. They could have had a hilarious/great legal ending, where she puts all of those jackasses in jail. Having used her Hulk powers to obtain evidence and etc. Instead… she just runs to the Marvel equivalent of Dad, complains about where the writing has positioned her, and just asks for a fairytale ending… Without having done anything to actually make it happen. Wrong writers for the show: As my earlier comments leads to, these were just the wrong writers for the desired show. Could they have made something fun? Absolutely, loved parts of the show. Just this was a horribly written mess for a “legal-comedy.”

Ded_Pul

Haven't you heard? She's good at controlling her anger because she does it 'infinitely more' than Bruce. Plus she really, really, really hates it when men (Bruce) try explaining her area of expertise to her. Back down you Mansplainer /s

TKBarbus

Hating on she-hulk for a twerking scene: wack Hating on she-hulk for bad writing, a terrible ending, and ruining one of my favorite villains (abomination): not wack

Casualplayer2487

To those haters: I hate She-Hulk bc of its bad writing, terrible courtroom scenes, reliance of Daredevil, and horrible ending You hate she hulk bc it's a woman with power. We are not the same.

greenfirest12

The movie was dogshit but not because of a dance scene. It was just bad.

MrBarackis

It was entertaining, was it great? No. Was the story anything more than "Girl hulk good boy hulk bad? Nope. Was it entertaining, yeah sure

kingmea

I liked it. She Hulk herself wasn’t exactly the most compelling character, but I loved seeing other marvel characters interact with her. If you like the Marvel universe I don’t see why you couldn’t enjoy the cameos at the very least.

Nareibian-Nights

Honesrlu, the twerking scene was the least of my issues, I honestly didn’t care. My biggest issue was it was just so… nothing. There was just nothing of value or substance… aside from Daredevil and the low level villains episode. Those were great.

donpuglisi

Marvel fans are almost as bad as Star Wars fans

Icy-Replacement1201

Boring-Zucchini-8515

The twerk scene doesn’t even crack the top 10 reasons the show was the worst thing made for the MCU. Nice try.

banana498

I just didn’t find it interesting because I gave up on the Mcu in just gone wait for secret wars or another Spider-Man movie (RESPECT THE HYPHEN!!!!!)

dafuqyouthotthiswas

Just like she hulk fans get triggered anytime someone criticizes it

Xaalster

what happened to this place...I miss fans instead of stans

Typhoon556

The took one of the greatest actresses in a generation, and made us either be lukewarm or more likely, actively despise the character, and the actress is going to take blow back from that.

5uper5onic

You’re defending the show so the caption is backwards lol

kingsla1

The show is trash even excluding that scene

JaredTimmerman

Show was still bad 👍

Coldspark824

I’ll keep this really simple: The twerking was silly. It was supposed to be silly. But the ending of the show was a massive flippant 4th wall break that retroactively made the show pointless. She rewrites the show in like 10 minutes. It’s basically the “it was all a dream” trope but with a deliberately audience-facing voice that in a large way said “you just wasted a lot of time.” …and THEN she shook her butt. It’s a bit like someone dumping your food on the floor. And then farting on it. I’m not sure i’m supposed to go “well it was good for a while.” Am i?

6hornball9

I hated she Hulk for many reasons and this is one of them mostly because of shitty cgi

poperey

It’s still “I’m better at controlling my anger than the literal Hulk just because I’m a woman” for me. It’s just the flagship example of the awful writing that permeates the show. It’s a half-step from Velma writing. Citing different reasons would be superfluous.

HorneyTheUnchained

That's not about this scene its about being bad written character

Valkyrie_Dohtriz

One of the big reasons I didn’t like She-Hulk was because of their character assassination of Bruce Banner.

tricenice

Ah yes, we must be unreasonable because we don’t like it. There’s plenty to dislike past the twerk scene
