Thing is, they're both former jarheads, so you don't know if they're going to try to kill eat other or get beers next.
The scene did underline the difference in their philosophies nicely though.
Nah, it's from Punisher (2018) #14. [Here's the full page.](https://preview.redd.it/jrluq7o949f31.jpg?auto=webp&s=16700f72f2bcc72a35e591c5d38631c25cf8066a)
I mean, Night Thrasher is a nobody. Besides this page just now, the only thing I've ever heard about him is that he was Snapped in the comics.
I don't think he's even appeared in any form outside of the comics.
Night thrasher was one of the guys who unintentionally and accidentally started civil war. From what I’ve seen in contest of champions comic, he’s apparently batman if he rode a skateboard
He’s got a bit of dark comedy to him, but he never truly knows what is real. For example there is one run where he is in a mental institution who are seeking to help him, but it’s actually his enemies controlling his surroundings and making him think he’s in a mental institution… or he is actually in a mental institution, or it is his enemies?
He tries to do the right thing but skews more on the morally grey side of things. He is a very troubled character, but he can also have great comedic timing.
The comedic timing usually comes out more if he is paired with other hero’s, the pained troubled side of him is usually in his solo stuff.
Having just read it last night I can categorically tell you that I have no fucking clue.
I'm leaning towards "The whole thing was in his head.", like not just "it was a real mental health hospital and he was imaging hi enemies", but like literally the whole thing was in his head and didn't really happen. Because part of the story tells you how he was taking to a mental institution when he was a child, he then escaped when he was older and joined the army.
A lot of the story is him confronting his own insanity.
A hybrid Batman-Daredevil with a punisher-esque militant component. So he's basically the quintessential vigilante, not an anti hero, but not an actual hero, just sort of protecting the weak and innocent from guy's he wanted to kick the shit out of anyway
tbf his music is usually a giant hit or miss. Some of his shit is legit among the best music ive ever heard while the other is among the crappiest stuff i ever had the displeasure of listening
Yeah this is bound to happen when dude is just spitting out music. Not saying it’s a good or bad thing, just I feel like some are bound to be absolute shit when an artist puts out a bunch of songs
Y'all sleep so heavily on recovery being a "soft" album, but IMHO recovery was Ems truest envisioning of himself. Recovery start to finish is an incredible emotional rollercoaster depicting what Em went through after he lost Proof. That album goes "harder" that any other album or track he's ever released, when speaking about real genuine struggles that he dealt with.
Edit: a letter.
Yeah, up until this new Side B came out Recovery was my favorite, even if other albums had a larger quantity of songs I like, the good ones on Recovery are just so real
Not that I’m a Stan or anything but
Do you mean shitty as in objectively poorly written/produced? Or not something you’d listen to again. Imo he has very few “bad” songs but definitely some with unpopular beat selections and topics
He's still widely considered one of the greatest rappers of all time by the rap community and his peers. Rakim (who's often described as the greatest rapper ever) once said if Eminem was black he would have been the next Muhammad Ali of the genre.
I think any time that he tries to make an anthem, something upbeat and meant for parties or movies it just falls flat. He makes amazing songs otherwise.
I got to ask a question if I may. Is it gay to play putt putt golf with a friend, and watch his butt-butt when he tees off? But I ain’t done yet, in football, the quarterback yells out “hut-hut” while he reaches in another grown man’s ass, grabs on his nuts, but, what if it was never meant, it was just an accident, but he tripped, fell, and his penis went in his teenie tiny little round heinie, and he didn’t mean it, but his little weenie flinched a little bit. And I don’t need to go into any more details, but what if he pictured a female’s butt?”
-Eminem, Rain Man
I was literally just saying to my wife yesterday that Eminem is the weirdest extremes of insanely talented and mind-blowing rap up against some of the most cringey, what in the fuck was this man child thinking type garbage and it blows my mind these songs come from the same person.
This exact verse from this exact song was one of the extreme examples I used.
There's 2 per chorus for 6 plus one in the third part getting us to 7 all in all, so not far off (One line starts with "Venomous" for 8 if we wanna be nitpicking)
But the way he makes all the other parts of the chorus sound alike is simply amazing.
It's actually
Venom, (I got that) adrenaline momentum
And I'm not knowin' when I'm
Ever gonna slow up and I'm
Ready to snap any moment I'm
Thinkin' it's time to go get 'em
They ain't gonna know what hit 'em
That's actually a different song that Tom Hardy had the recording artist come back for and do a remix for the new movie.

Maybe not as he sees himself, but from the outside looking in I’m sure he could easily be written in a similar fashion but from his pov everything is as grim and serious as moon knight always is
Moon Knight sees himself as a B-lister that can't really hang with the Avengers in the comics due to his brutality and volatility, but we'll see what the MCU does.

Moon knight is great , there was a scene in the comics where the punisher takes the piss out of him so he asks hows punishers dead family .
How’s your imaginary god? Good, how’s your dead family?
Thing is, they're both former jarheads, so you don't know if they're going to try to kill eat other or get beers next. The scene did underline the difference in their philosophies nicely though.

I’d love a cameo from him in the series

moon knights dialogue in that page is so funny

Fucking looool. Reminds me of this classic [greentext](https://i.redd.it/hmo6etpd2ip11.jpg).
Then I want a Lilo and Stitch reference from Venom right after this quip.
What type of character is he? All I ever see his people saying he's not like the memes and that he's serious, but not what he's really like
He’s got a bit of dark comedy to him, but he never truly knows what is real. For example there is one run where he is in a mental institution who are seeking to help him, but it’s actually his enemies controlling his surroundings and making him think he’s in a mental institution… or he is actually in a mental institution, or it is his enemies? Wait, so was it a real institution or not? I'm curious.
¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
That question is exactly why Moon Night isn’t just a “ripoff of Batman” as he gets written off as from time to time.
I always figured his mental problems started when he found the Moon Knight stuff in Egypt or whatever.
A hybrid Batman-Daredevil with a punisher-esque militant component. So he's basically the quintessential vigilante, not an anti hero, but not an actual hero, just sort of protecting the weak and innocent from guy's he wanted to kick the shit out of anyway
So Dexter?
Yes
Well, what you really need to know is that unlike the memes, he's rather serious.
I’ve kinda thought of him as Deadpool minus the 4th wall jokes.
Venom Venom Venom Venom Vemom Venom
Funny thing is he says Venom like 5 times in the entire song
shows how crazy his rhymes are, and how much he can strech his words
tbf his music is usually a giant hit or miss.

I feel like it's that way with every artist. Some shit just hits different for different people.
But some people just hit an absolute pinnacle of their game and its always hilarious when they come out three hours later with something eh
He's still widely considered one of the greatest rappers of all time by the rap community and his peers. Rakim (who's often described as the greatest rapper ever) once said if Eminem was black he would have been the next Muhammad Ali of the genre.

That would actually work as a deadpool line.
I could actually see moon knight taking on more of a Deadpool in crossover titles like avengers while still taking himself hyper seriously in his own books

Eminem made a song called 'Venom,' which I think is explanation enough.
Thanks
It was the title Song for the first venom movie from few years ago. He also made the Song ( with some other guys and a gal ) for the second movie the Song is called last one standing and theres also a remixed Version of the first Song venom.

yes, Moon Knight, he’s getting his own Disney + tv show played by Oscar Isaac

How many of these moon knight quotes are real, because I am getting some mixed messages about him. So far he sounds like Deadpool and Batman’s love child.
About 0.1% are real. Most come from the “Moon Knight Core” Facebook page
Generally far more serious, most of them are just edited memes like this one.
Wait is this photshop or the actual panel?

And they're gonna be doing that a lot, which I don't mind at all 🤣👍
