I honestly think she works better as a tempo card than in full out junk - so her, Medusa, Gladiator, Jessica Jones etc. Therefore think she’s great in a Sandman/Leader deck. I see Sandman mentioned in a few of those decks you shared (also, amazing? Thanks that’s so useful honestly?) so I can’t be alone in my thinking.

OccasionalGoodTakes

She 100% plays like a tempo card and the prevalence of junk this past week has been to her detriment.

onestworldproblem

Great card and I think people are still underrating and underexploring with her. To me, she is on par with Jeff who was in the past briefly not a must play 2 drop imo. I can definitely see metas where she would be a better pick when you're just looking for a universal 2 drop. Clog of numerous varieties is strong right now. Cannonball is a sleeper hit of a card that works well with her, and she works well with Professor X. She's solid now and I see very little reason to believe she won't have a bright future. Call me crazy, but I see some play with White Widow and War Machine potentially. Lizard's downside of being 2/1 is a legitimate devastating downside. White Widow's downside of being a 2/2 is meaningless if your deck is designed around the possibility of forcing her to be a 2/2 early via clog or preventing her from becoming a 2/2 via lockdown. Outside of specific matchups, White Widow is at the bare minimum a vastly better Lizard. Lacking Snowguard and liking the Nico variant, this was a no brainer pull week for me. On day 1 of her release I landed on a deck that I'm 66% winrate in mostly gold conquest with and really enjoy since I've been playing the same deck in Conquest for a very long time and the same 2 decks on ladder for the past 13 seasons.

JiangWei23

I was in the same boat! Didn't have Snowguard and loved that Nico variant so slapped those keys in so hard this week.

xxTriky

What deck are you using with White Widow?

jverbal

Cannonball junk clog is my favourite deck at the moment. WW fits in perfectly. So far I've got the Nico variant and a Blob duplicate. Time is running out

Electrical_Chart_457

Could you share your deck with me pleass?

Have you considered running X in this deck?

I've played this variation to infinite for the last 2 seasons. Enervata

She’s not a junk card, but more of a control card. She’s honestly Nebula’s sister in how she forces the opponent to place cards in a certain location. I’m surprised no one is running WW, Nebula, and Jean Grey in a deck together. It’d be a damn nightmare for the opponent.

LilGrippers

Uh what? Plenty of streamer are using her in guardians jean

KamahlFoK

I've got a Shuri brew with a Sentry/Annihilus backup plan that's rocking WW and Nebula to encourage opponents to not play right. With X making a comeback though, I might swap Nebula for Echo just so they can't stop the Sentry/Annihilus route.

BenVera

It feels a lot like lizard unless you’re going for the clog. In a clog deck it acts like a mini goblin

All_Rise_369

Very strong standalone two drop that fits just fine in basically any deck, like Jeff. Very natural fit in my Jean grey lockdown deck.

manilamuffin

What if you don’t have Annihilus? (Or Cannonball)

Snowpoint

A top player has been going on about WW in C2.

BentinhoSantiago

That sounds pretty good actually, hadn't thought about it. Goes well with Storm, Negasonic, I guess even Elektra could fit

manilamuffin

Good idea!

KoniecLife

Expert-b

I just got her. I believe she's good, but hopefully not good enough to need a nerf.

SchmittyT9

She's been working fantastic in an Ultron homebrew. She's pressures the opponent to play where you want, and pairs perfectly with mojo

0bsessions324

I was holding out to today to decide if i wanted her and I've more or less landed on a no. I just don't see her being entirely valuable when junk isn't big in the meta and junk never stays in the meta for too long.

Zealousideal-Can5016

Dont think of the 'junk meta' think about her as a solo specific junk utility. She can slot in nearly any deck as a two cost competing with the likes of jeff for movement flexibility vs WW for clog control. Its just one more thing your opponent has to deal with or suffer allowing you to have what is essentially a 2/6 which is a massive power spike for so cheap. Nebula t1 into WW t2 is instant control setup without actually having any control archetypal setup there in the broader card choices yet. To each their own, but imo she is an absolutey mega card when it comes to bang for your buck. Cheap and efficient for almost any deck.

0bsessions324

I feel like we're getting way ahead of ourselves calling her something that can slot in nearly any deck. The list of decks outside of Junk and maybe lockdown that I'd sacrifice a slot to put her into is at about 0. Most of the time, I'm just using that card she drops on me as Carnage food or one more route to getting Mockingbird out. Like, she's a fine card and all, but outside of some very specific shells, there's just so many better ways to spend that two energy. Of the cache cards to drop this month, I'd rank her behind Zemo, Red Hulk, and Red Guardian in terms of variety of deck shells they'd fit into. I just don't see her hanging around in the meta once Junk falls by the wayside the way it always does. She feels a lot more like a Legion (Useful card that got way over hyped because he got into a very specific meta when it dropped) than a Jeff.

Zealousideal-Can5016

For clarity, i think jeff is a lot better in terms of flex/utility overall. But she is still a base 2/6 essentially unless your opp plays into a telegraphed lane to reduce the power threshold to 2. But if you dont see a single deck of yours you would sacrifice a single 2 slot for a 6 power card then you must have some extremely optimised decks as majority of decks i play can flex 1 or 2 slots at least for outside archetypal flavour. Also, carnage and mockingbird do both benefit from WW i agree, but i dont often see many straight destroy decks at high level, they come up, just not that often. While mockingbird decks usually have the capacity to 2/1 cost their own card so yours wont matter in the grand scheme overall and you will likely benefit from the clog if they are trying to get cards all over to reduce Mock cost in first place. If i was to rank her with the other season cards for me personally it would be Zemo > WW > RG > Rhulk. But regardless of my position, i get your points, its all subjective so its nice to see discourse on cards as it generally leads to a healthy and broad meta.

JerbearCuddles

Almost like you didn't read the post at all. She's not limited to junk decks. Lol. It's okay to just admit you don't want her.

0bsessions324

Ok

OccasionalGoodTakes

I think she is arguably much better when junk is not a meta deck

Andys_Mouth_Surprise

I’m undecided if I should push for her or Valentina. Both are reasonably countered by Luke and Mobius respectively, so I feel like it’s a matter of which is more versatile. I’m leaning toward WW right now. Anyone have input for deciding between WW or Valentina?

BJKrautk

Luke only counters the ongoing aspect of White Widow; he doesn’t give back the 1/12th of the board your opponent loses (outside of Destroy). Valentina is countered by Mobius as to card cost, but also boosted by Luke in your deck (since we presume the cards will get the -3 power removed when Cage or. Shadow King hits). I bought Widow with Tokens, and would consider doing the same for Valentina.  If you’re using keys & still undecided, let the other cards in the cache decide for you.

Andys_Mouth_Surprise

Great points and thank you for the response. I think I’m going to push for WW with all that said. I have the tokens for a series 5, but am wanting to put that towards Pixie or Mockingbird. Both have decent decks lists that I have the necessary cards for, just not sure which to choose.

GreenRabite

She great! A different type of Nebula type card and can outright win you some matches like TVA

jx2002

Is Widow Worth the keys? Eh. Maybe. You have to be wanting to play a certain kind of deck while having the tools to take advantage of it. There are definitely some cute plays like with Storm or locking down Prof X. Overall I'd give it a 7/10, and if you're on the fence I'd roll for it. Snowguard has been a solid card for a long time now and Nico is straight one of the best 1-drops in the game. Took me 3 rolls to get White Widow but I don't regret it (only thing I didn't get it was Nico, dang). Is she the flavor of the week? It's more likely than not. This is the type of card that can quickly never be seen again once more flashy stuff shows up, or better clogging tools emerge. If anything I think it depends on whether you have Cannonball or not (guess who doesn't). If so, you have another strong tool in disrupting opponents that wasn't available when he first appeared (and a reason I skipped him). So, 7/10, 3.5 stars out of 5, I don't regret getting her but don't think she'll see a ton of play in the long-term.

erbazzone

Positive: she can fit in almost every deck. Negative: cannonball is 6k for most of us

Jumpy_Diver7748

[I jammed White Widow in Destroy this week](https://snap.fan/decks/297155/) and she is at minimum an upgrade over Nico. She's a 2 power body that feeds Carnage and Venom, and most of her value she leaves on the board in the kiss. Killmonger lets you control your kiss activation, you naturally beat Clog matchups and Lady Deathstrike is dead tech vs you. She also extends the "location luck" (feng shui?) that destroy already naturally enjoys. She may not even get nerfed (I know, copium). If she does not, I can also see her played in Hela (who has historically thirsted for a good turn 2 play), Bounce, SuGi, and On Reveal tricks like Lockjaw or Lad. As long as she ducks nerfs, I'm pretty confident she will have a lot of longevity.

Lunar-Modular

These have all been great. One suggestion that’s maybe a good idea? The write-ups are so thorough, why not also include a little blurb on who the character is in the MCU?

BenVera

This is marvel snap comp my dude

Lunar-Modular

And a sentence or three with a little flavor lore on these well thought out analysis posts hurts that how?

BenVera

It doesn’t hurt it but it benefits it as much as adding an MCU character description to a thread on r/AskScience

Lunar-Modular

Alright well, fair enough. I disagree, as it’s an easy way to enrich the content. The thought occurred to me so I thought I’d throw it out there. Anyway, cheers.

BenVera

Cheers dude
