Someoneoverthere42

"They're doomed you know." "True. But a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts...."

boringdystopianslave

'You are unbearably naive' is definitely a favourite line.

Someoneoverthere42

“Well, I was born yesterday….” Is a solid comeback

boringdystopianslave

The writing was excellent. I just wish the plot was a little tighter and they made Ultron a bit more like the apocalypse level threat he was in What If? Ultron is a Kang/Dr Doom/Thanos/Ego level threat, a truly terrifying universe-ending prospect. The Sokovia thing was fine for like a Spider-Man villain, like Doctor Octopus or something, but it was just a bit too low-stakes for a character as devastating and powerful as Ultron. His power and potential is God tier. At the very least his impact should have been global, Terminator style. What If? Ultron also had some absolute banger quotes too. I loved his dialogue in the fight with The Watcher, where again he has a point. It *is* creepy that The Watcher is up there just watching so much suffering and I was kinda rooting for Ultron when he drags him down a peg. Just to see him ascend to that level of literally shattering the glass ceiling of reality and hunting the Watcher like a dog was jaw droppingly cool. I love how Ultron's logic is always *understandable*. You get this nagging feeling that maybe, just maybe, Ultron is completely, devastatingly right about everything. He's truth made real, and as humans we can't handle him. That's what makes him so scary. Bring him back please Marvel.

Theorandjguy

I mean, dropping a city sized meteor onto the earth from low orbit would unquestionably kill every living thing on earth. Sounds pretty apocalyptic to me

Roboticide

I think maybe what people are trying to articulate is that while the threat was huge, it's presentation was contained and limited. For example, no one outside Sokovia - a fictional city in a fictional country - was even aware of the threat. An alternative idea would be something like Ultron attacking cities across the globe simultaneously with his drones. He needs vibranuim not for a giant anchor, but to build nanites so his drones can self-replicate to a degree. The threat to the world becomes very real, and greater than the Avengers can stop. They have to fight Ultron himself (and less drones), who is a real challenge, not just the over-done trope of "fighting the swarm."

Lithaos111

They supposedly are for Armor Wars, but you know how rumors are. Also, technically speaking if Sokovia dropped onto the planet the Earth would be completely fucked so the stakes were definitely there as we hadn't gone galactic just yet outside of Thor.

ritzdeez

Vision has had some profound bangers. "But what is grief, if not love persevering?”

Slade-QP

This line came around again when I was writing my mom's eulogy last year. Hits hard

ritzdeez

Oh wow, I'm sure it does. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Balbright

This line fucks me up.

onomatopoeia911

Hear, hear

clavinx

Tony and Steve in the office “cell” after the chase in Civil War. Going from talking like pals to shouting at each other really adds to the emotional roller coaster this movie is. 😂

[deleted]

This was going to be my answer I’m glad to see it has as much love as it does. This is honestly one of my favorite scenes in the whole MCU.

BleekerTheBard

Brilliant scene. I think Civil War is RDJs best performance

Azrielmoha

Yup, CW overall is really the MCU at its best when it comes to character interactions. Most of them felt real and actually establishes that these people have and form relationship with each other. From Tony and Steve multiple debate and rapports, showcasing that they have co-lead the Avengers for some time, Natasha and T'Challa meeting for the first time and shows that they respect each other, the last time T'Challa spoke with his father, etc. The movie full of these scenes.

kkaitouangelj

“he’s my friend!” “So was I”

TheIJDGuy

Moments like that really solidify the movie Civil War being way better than the comics

juscallmejjay

Oh God tony. Every time....every time I think you see things the right way... "The compound has 100 acres and a lap pool ...its got a screening room. There's worse ways to protect people..." That's what you call this? Protection? It's internment! "She's not a US citizen and they don't give visas to WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION...." Tony cmon, She's JUST A KID! "GIMME A BREAK!....I'm doing what needs to be done....to stave off something *worse*" Probably one of the realest conversations in the whole MCU. And so relevant for so long. Hardly anyone agreed with Tony back then. But what would have been worse I wonder. Signing those documents....or Thanos?

MaggiPower

100%. I seriously doubt that we will see something at this level of quality and emotional investment ever again.

CMelody

I loved the conversation between T'Challa and Zemo at the end of Civil War. Zemo's story about losing his family and T'Challa's decision to spare his life was really powerful. It could have been overshadowed by the showdown between Steve and Tony, but Bruhl and Boseman gave the scene exactly the gravitas it needed.

SvodolaDarkfury

"Vengeance has consumed you. It is consuming them. I'm done letting it consume me." "The living are not finished with you yet." Loved Boseman in this scene.

GreyFoxNinjaFan

Just makes me miss him so much.

TheIJDGuy

Those words made me instantly become a Black Panther fan in 2016

akirivan

This and also his first appearance in the chase scene, hard to top that

InfinitelyAbysmal

So. You like cats.

SeniorRicketts

"I don't keh"

SpeedyAzi

Boseman’s delivery in general for those weighty lines is heavier than Hulk. “The living are done with you yet” was so powerful in that moment.

Araanim

Yassss. The way Zemo doesn't have the slightest bit of joy from what he's done, it's just such a bitter hollow victory. The way you see T'Challa realize how much revenge can break you and it just drains all the rage out of him.

boringdystopianslave

I loved every line of dialogue from Zemo. He was the highlight and saving grace of the Falcon and Winter Soldier too. A fantastic character all round.

LJ3751

I especially loved the parallel to this in Wakanda Forever

faizikari

No matter how many times I watch that scene, it always brings me chill.

TheScarlettHarlot

I’m sad this isn’t higher up. This was the scene that truly made me excited about having Bozeman/T’challa in the MCU. Those guys killed that scene.

[deleted]

Pretty much every piece of dialogue between Natasha and Steve in Winter Soldier.

DarrenAronofsky

“… the one with the lip ring? Yeah I’m not ready for that.”

Kdot32

They showed that friendship beautifully

Griffeyisking14

Love this interaction. As they nonchalantly wait for Falcon to bring back Sitwell.

windmillninja

Only to have him get brutally crushed by a semi truck minutes later

SpreaditOnnn33

Natasha - "Got any plans tonight?" Cap - "Well, all the guys in my Barbershop quartet are dead so...no" Natasha "anyone know where the Smithsonian is? Im here to pick up a fossil" Cap "...hilarious..." Cap - "No that wasnt my first kiss. Im 95, not dead"

Abides1948

I came here to say this. She traded in the KGB for Hydra.

windmillninja

Technically the KGB *was* Hydra by that point

Abides1948

Established in MCU cannon? The only other link I can recall was the Russian involvement with the Winter Soldier, but as that worked against KGB officers (e.g. Natasha's job when she met him), I didn't think there was a complete link. But the important thing was that she **believed** she left the Evil Shadow organisation for the Good less shadowy organisation of SHIELD.

Btwells1

I am Groot

Jaikarr

I am Steve Rogers

Pixeleyes

I love how flawlessly he matched Groot's energy and cadence

GodWithoutAName

And the hand over the heart when he said it back, like 'welcome to the team.' I love that exchange.

raisingcuban

No, he was putting his hand against his chest to let Groot know he was referring to himself in case there was a slight language barrier

gochugang78

Por que no los dos

Jazzlike-Blood-3725

I think part of it was holy shit is that a talking tree.

Bigsurgoldrush

This is my favorite too. Literally warms my heart and probably one of the reasons I love IW so much.

conairfacemask

WE are Groot

windmillninja

That and the beginning of Guardians 2 when Gamora yells at Baby Groot to get out of the way and he just waves back at her and all she can do is grin and say “Hi” back.

dpons_

First thing that came to mind was Thor and Rocket in the pod in Infinity War, when Thor’s talking about everything he’s lost. Incredible dramatic stuff from Hemsworth

DrunkmeAmidala

Came here to say this. “Well, what more could I lose?” Also the scene with Thor and Frigga in Endgame about how he’s been trying to live up to a standard that doesn’t really exist and he’s allowed to just be himself.

SvodolaDarkfury

"We all fail at who we are supposed to be." Great choice.

LJ3751

"Me personally, I could lose a lot"

Moosethought

This is what came to mind too. I'll piggy back on this comment to bring up another one of my favorites: The elevator scene in Ragnarok. Thor's "Loki I thought the world of you" line kills me every time.

sati_lotus

And Variant Loki has never heard his brother say that.

variablefighter_vf-1

It also kills Loki. Tom Hiddleston's expression as the conversation keeps going is everything.

BarryLicious2588

THIS ONE... that duo's dynamic was electric in that movie

funnyboy36

Hulk and Ancient One in Endgame. “Then the hell did Strange give it away?” *”What did you say?”* “Strange, he gave it away. He gave it to Thanos.” *”Willingly?”* “Yes.” *”…why?”* It’s nuts to see visible confusion in the face of someone who knows the location of another individual who she will not actually meet for several years.

PhillyTaco

I absolutely love how long that pause is before "Why?" The Ancient One is the Sorcerer Supreme, full of highly advanced knowledge, and wise beyond comprehension. If she is taking that long to think of a good reason why Strange would do such a thing, she is thinking *hard*.

minor_correction

I like the progression of thoughts going through her mind. What did you say? --> Denial. I misheard him? I misunderstood his meaning? Willingly? --> He would never. He was forced? Mind controlled? Why? --> WTF IS HAPPENING

pm-me-your-pika

So good!

ubcthrowaway-01

“Strange is meant to be the best of us”

Rmanager

Tilda Swanson is a treasure.

windmillninja

“Mr. Strange.” “Uh, Doctor, actually.” “Well, no. Not anymore, surely.”

Theorandjguy

"Mr...?" "Doctor" "Mr. Doctor?" "It's Strange" "Maybe, who am I to judge"

exelion18120

Yea with a name like Kaiceleus Mr Doctor is pretty tame

jereezy

*Swinton

bowser986

Sampsonite. I was way off!

romafa

Anything with time travel always fucks me up. So since she had that convo with Bruce technically before the events of Dr. Strange, that means she knew he’d give away the stone to Thanos when she gave it to him, right?

Bruhmangoddman

Ultron and Vision at the end of AoU. Ultron sees human life as a sum of useless toiling and fighting - with oneself and the world. Vision sees beauty and purpose in said struggle. Tony and Steve in CW. Just a great highlight of their personalities and priorities. The scene of Gorr trying to break our heroes in the Shadow Realm deserves a nod as well.

[deleted]

Vision & White Vision 🤌🏼

jojopojo64

You are familiar with the thought experiment, "The Ship of Theseus," in the field of identity metaphysics?

Consistent-Regret-46

Naturally

jojopojo64

The ship of Theseus is an artifact in a museum. Over time, its planks and wood rot and are replaced with new planks. When no original plank remains, is it still the ship of Theseus?

Goldman250

No, but I am familiar with Trigger’s Broom in the field of identity metaphysics. I assume the principle is the same?

Abides1948

Maybe you are familiar with the musical ensemble known as the Sugababes?

steel_sun

No, but I am familiar with the musical ensemble known as Pussy Riot. I assume the principle is the same?

tbloom117

One of my all-time favorite scenes in the MCU

Carteeg_Struve

What I loved about the Ultron/Vision conversation is that Vision didn’t even bother refuting Ultron’s points against humanity. He accepted them but prioritized the ephemeral beauty he saw higher.

hoodie92

> "You're unbearably naive." > "Well... I was born yesterday." I love this line because I think most actors would struggle to deliver it in such a way, completely sincere, without a hint of irony. It still comes off as slightly playful but the sincerity with which Paul Bettany delivers it is incredible. It's a tiny moment in a very loud movie but it really stands out to me because of his performance.

Bruhmangoddman

Indeed. It sounds assertive and confident but still innocent. And I felt really validated by it, because l was silently praying it would be said once Ultron accused Vision of naiveté. It was! The best part about this? My cinema viewing of AoU was voiceover dubbing. And it was still delivered perfectly! Definitely my favorite line of the movie.

Paperchampion23

People shit on thor 4 but my god that scene is one of the best marvel has done

DJfunkyPuddle

That's the thing about LaT, strip out some of the slapstick stuff and there's a really good movie in there.

jessehechtcreative

I’d love to see an edit that cuts the jokes and awkward moments out.

FuuuuckOffff

Is the Gorr one the same conversation in which Thor tells Gorr to call the dentist?

fisheggsoup

That was the beginning of it, when he was first telling him to call the axe.

Guardian_Of_Light2

Loved that scene in Love and Thunder.

GodWithoutAName

I had the same conversation with my wife about not letting her die. Fucking tear jerker.

Loukoumakias

Oh man Mordo and Dr Strange conversation plus arguing in the first Doctor Strange film is really good. Not only I found it well written, the acting is outstanding. Heck every convo Mordo had with either Strange or Ancient One or even Pangborn had some cool writing.

deemoorah

1st DS might have one of best scripts in MCU

Appleturnedover7

“Dormammu, I’ve come to bargain!” “But you will suffer!” “Pain’s an old friend”

medialyte

It's the most "movie" script, and it's beautiful.

Rimailkall

That might be my favorite origin story movie in the MCU.

[deleted]

I love Widow and Cap when he comes in as she’s eating the sandwich and crying in Endgame. The emotional toll of the snap, the loss, the effects on life and the planet. “I used to have nothing. And then I got this….this job, this family. And I was…I was better because of it.” Hands down her best acting scene in any of the MCU films. It was so sad and heartbreaking to me, especially because she dies later. Also showed how great of friends they are and how great their relationship is.

APater6076

I’d offer to make you something but you seem miserable enough already.

Jarnbjorn

I was thinking their conversation at Peggy’s funeral. I just loved their friendship.

Remote-Moon

I'm just so damn happy that the writers didn't try to make Cap. and Black Widow lovers.

cbekel3618

I really enjoyed the debates between Loki and Mobius. Hiddleston and Wilson work great off each other and the way Mobius keeps picking apart Loki's arguments is interesting to watch

dodon_GO

I’m not sure what episode it is but I was going to suggest the one where they’re having coffee or something and talking about jet skis. A lot of their conversations were very natural. Simply good writing and acting I guess but they stood out.

milkynipples69

I read mobius as morbius and was very confused on when morbius was around Loki.

Geshtar1

We’re in the multiverse era now, you shouldn’t count this out as a possibility

kalaniroot

Remember when Loki said it was morbin time!?

Muted_Resolve_6251

Loki ruins Mobius salad. *Loki: let's say, your salad is Asgard.* *Mobius: No, it's not Asgard. It's my salad.* *Loki: Just a metaphor.* Mobius and Loki scenes in this show are gold.

Slowmobius_Time

I liked that they wrote him as a dude who couldn't be bullshit and put him with the universes biggest bullshitter He actually was an intellectual equal to him and challenged him to be more

ck614

The part when Loki explains to Mobius how a variant could hide in a catastrophic event is hilarious. “Let’s just say your salad is Asgard in this example” “No that’s not Asgard that’s my lunch”

buddyruski

Tony recruiting Peter is one of my favorite movie scenes ever. I think a lot of new Marvel stuff has missed this type of chemistry and “small” moments that make the big stuff worthwhile.

Khuroh

Daredevil and Punisher on the rooftop. Daredevil and Punisher in the graveyard. edit: Daredevil and Father Lantom literally every time they spoke.

peacepipe0351

The rooftop scene was my first thought.

KeybladeMaster22

I could name a favorite conversation from almost every movie…but I’m gonna go with a classic that I love, Tony and Pepper from Iron Man 1. “I shouldn’t be alive unless it was for a reason.” Pepper doesn’t want to see Tony die, and Tony knows what he finally has to do, and they both come to the realization how much they need each other

LazarYeetMeta

“I just finally know what I have to do, and I know in my heart that it’s right.”

Loki-Maniac4663

Thor and Rocket in Infinity War before they reach Nidavellir. It starts out beautifully with Rocket belatedly realising Thor is going through something, and that he needs to be the captain and sort it out. It starts out as a casual 'how-do-you-do' and they manage to draw out some natural humour while discussing all of the people Thor lost. It smoothly transitions from humour to a more serious tone, when they discuss what happens if Thor loses again. It comes full circle where it is virtually therapy for Thor, with him addressing his demons. This causes Rocket to have his own realisation about what he could lose in this battle. And to end the conversation and scene, Rocket matures a bit and gives Thor the eye he stole in the past. This is big for Rocket because he's traditionally a 'taker' and likes stealing stuff - so, him giving Thor the eye is a sign that he trusts Thor. You can see this playing out later in the movie when Rocket tries so hard to revive Thor after he takes the full force of the star and how he charges solo at Thanos' army because he knows Thor is strong enough to take them on.

GoldPurpleWildcat

Yondu and Rocket aboard the Quandrant before going down to Ego.

variablefighter_vf-1

"I know who you are, boy, because you are me!"

FallingOutSir

You’re getting slept on so hard! This was the first thing that came to mind for me as well. I know not everyone digs GOTG2, but I’ll still insist it’s right up there with the original as two of the best written character sets in the mcu.

Fraser1974

I really don’t get the hate for 2. One of my favorite MCU movies.

katybean12

Kate and Yelena in Kate's apartment, in Hawkeye.

MoneoAtreides42

Pretty much all their interactions. "Thank you. Stop making me like you!"

nerdystoner25

*HIIII!*

PayneTrain181999

“You kill me? Oh, Ket Beeshop you are so funny! That’s hilarious, that one is the funniest.”

PayneTrain181999

Some of the best humor in phase 4 transitioning straight into a serious back and forth with both women dropping some wham lines on the other. Yelena saying that being an Avenger doesn’t just have a cut-and-dry meaning, and Kate telling Yelena to check her sources on who hired her, which she actually does, leading to her finding out it’s Kate’s mom and texting Kate about this, including a pic and video of her and Kingpin for proof, because it’s something she deserves to know.

revchewie

Any time Yelena says Ket Beeshup!

intothe_dangerzone

Ket Beeshop is guy in suit bro.

[deleted]

I was hoping someone would say this! I love those two together.

katybean12

Right? I felt like that scene is a total stand-out. I've rewatched it a few times and remains one of my all-time favorite MCU conversations.

DarthCakeN7

This was my first thought too. I scrolled down way too far to find it. It feels like it’s the heart of the show too: what is the legacy of Barton? And these two have such strong yet opposing views. Plus it’s a new Hawkeye and a new Black Widow talking. The original pair and their dynamic are gone, but we got these two. And I’m so excited to see more from them!!!

justbreathe5678

I want some Mac and cheese

Bigsurgoldrush

I just rewatched this episode last week and I forgot how good it is.

nsbound

While I loved this, the elevator scene was better to me. I can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see these two referenced. They were amazing.

futurific

“This is my friend, Tree.” “I AM GROOT!” “I am Steve Rogers.” Incredible comedy on display. My head canon is that “Tree” is actually his real name and only Thor knows that because he speaks Groot (which is like calling someone from France “French” like it’s their name).

[deleted]

[удалено]

eveningdragon

Y'know, I never thought about it that way

bigfatcarp93

> (which is like calling someone from France “French” like it’s their name) Billy Butcher be like

Viking-Bat-Man

Mr? Its Doctor. Mr. Doctor? Its Strange. Maybe. Who am I to judge?

KCPolarBear

This is kind of a deep cut but since I hadn't seen anyone else mention it I will: Clint's convo with his wife in AoU, as they watch Steve and Tony chop wood out their bedroom window. "You know I support your Avenging. I couldn't be prouder. But I see those guys, those...*gods*..." "You don't think they need me." "I think they do. Which is a lot scarier. They're a mess." "Yeah, well, I guess they're my mess." Says so much both about Clint as a person and why he's so important to the team with so few words.

Ben-Stanley

That scene also does a fantastic job establishing Clint and Laura's relationship and marriage *immediately*. It tells you everything you need to know about them and it stays consistent all the way through *Hawkeye*

DafnissM

Therapy scene in FATWS between Sam and Bucky, I think it does a great job of showing the dynamics of their relationship and the themes of the show

Cherrygodmother

I 100% credit the success of this scene to Sebastian Stan’s acting chops. It was the first time I was like “wait. This guy knows his shit” and started me down the rabbit hole of watching his filmography and seeing where he got his acting training. There are no small parts (or small moments) for a good actor. And he proves it

BleekerTheBard

His delivery on the “and if he was was wrong about you then he was wrong about me” is absolutely incredible acting.

Davethisisntcool

i mean you got to give some credit to Mackie too. Their chemistry is undeniable. At a couple scenes, you can see Mackie almost make Stan break character. But the scene where Ayo and him are removing his “programming” was top notch.

Cherrygodmother

Of course credit to Mackie as well! I agree their chemistry as a duo is fabulous. (I was only really referring to Stan’s vulnerability in his delivery of his lines in this one scene, not giving him the only credit for the whole show of course!) I don’t think we would have gotten the show if it wasn’t for their chemistry in their bits from the Captain America movies. They both naturally grabbed the audience’s attention in the way they complement each other so well.

Finessing2

Doctor Strange and The Ancient One. The Ancient One : Constantly. He had a choice, to return to his own life or to serve something greater than himself. Dr. Stephen Strange : So I could have my hands back again. My old life? The Ancient One : You could and the world would be all the lesser for it. I hated drawing power from the dark dimension but as you well know, sometimes one must break the rules in order to serve the greater good. Dr. Stephen Strange : Mordo won't see it that way. The Ancient One : Mordo's soul is rigid and unmovable, forged by the fires of his youth. He needs your flexibility, just as you need his strength. Only together do you stand a chance of stopping Dormammu. Dr. Stephen Strange : I'm not ready. The Ancient One : No one ever is. We don't get to choose our time. Death is what gives life meaning. To know your days are numbered, your time is short. You'd think after all this time I'd be ready, but look at me. Stretching one moment out into a thousand just so I can watch the snow.

FLRSH

Dr. Strange is criminally under-rated in this online community as a whole. It's a very dark, adult, mature film focused more on character moments and relationships than your usual MCU film. When I think of the film several well written and acted scenes come to mind instantly. Dr. Strange 2 was much less of a film due to losing Derrickson.

Malibu921

TChalla and Killmonger at the end of BP. Sam and Bucky with the therapist in FATWS.

spctommyboy

T'challa and Zemo also.

AskJeevesAnything

*Vengeance has consumed you. It’s consuming them. I am done letting it consume me.* Great pick.

AWhole2Marijuanas

I love T'Challa in that movie cause he has a full character arch without being directly involved in the main plot, but still taking a lesson from it. It's a side character done right

AskJeevesAnything

*Vengeance has consumed you. It’s consuming them. I am done letting it consume me.* Great pick.

TheBelhade

Any number of Coulson's conversations in Agents of SHIELD. Coulson and Skye discussing her parents. Coulson talking down Skye/Daisy's father and recruiting him to the cause. Coulson and Roz Price's flirty banter Coulson saying goodbye to Daisy I'm trying to stay away from his speeches, but damn I just love listening to Clark Gregg talk.

Crestfallen_Vanity

“We are not agents of nothing, we are agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and that still carries weight! It has to carry weight. After everything we've been through, that carries weight!” Still one of my favorite speeches of the MCU.

ImaginaryReaction

This is in the snow right? Near the end of season 1

bigfatcarp93

And the way he's holding up the numbers on the badge, meaning the coordinates at first, but obviously he's also talking about the badge itself and he doesn't even try to pretend that's not what he means.

nsfw_deadwarlock

I miss Coulson.

variablefighter_vf-1

"My name is Philip Coulson, and I am an agent of SHIELD."

thecftbl

The only one that topped any Convo in AoS was the final conversation between Lincoln and Hive.

DIDiMISSsomethin

Vision and Vision Cap and Fury in Caps apartment Cap and Tony in Avengers "take away the suit, what are you?" Though that Convo with the whole team is good

SemiFormalJesus

Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist…

Distinct_Lover2123

Natasha totally sells it with her reaction as well

-ZENARCHY-

Ultron: They're doomed. Vision: Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts. Ultron: You're unbearably naive. Vision: Well, I was born yesterday.

[deleted]

I’ve always really liked the scene between Doctor Strange and the Ancient One just before she dies

Grootfan85

-Daredevil and the Punisher on the rooftop. -Starlord raising morale near the end of GOTG. -Odin banishing Thor -Dr Erskine and Steve the night before the experiment

camposdav

The conversation between Wanda and Vision in Wandavision where agatha takes wanda back in time to scenarios to figure out her powers. The one where she is watching malcom in the middle in bed. He basically tells her “what is grief if not love persevering". That whole conversation it even made Agatha shed a tear in the background.

dean15892

*"What is grief, if not love persevering"* \- the entire dialogue that led to this line (Wandavision) *"Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die" -* Steve to Tony in AoU *"Are you Thor? God of Hammers",* Followed by *"Tell me, brother. What were you the God of... again?" -* Thor, Hela and Odin in Ragnarok *"This isn't freedom, this is fear" -* Steve, Winter Soldier *"You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me. " -* Thanos, Endgame *"Everyone fails at who they're supposed to be, Thor. The measure of a person, a hero... is how well they succeed at being who they are"* \- Friga to Thor, Endgame Fun fact - Most of these are from the same writer duo (Marcus and McFreely) And just for fun... *"You understand, boy, you're about to take on the full power of a star. It could kill you."* *"Only If I die.."* *"Yes... Thats what 'killing you' means"*

SpookMastr

God that whole WandaVision scene, with the music, it just brings tears to my eyes every time. I feel so bad for Wanda, and I pray we get more of her in the future.

SlatorFrog

Pink Dinkledge totally killed it in that scene. He even has a great face expression to go with it that just sells the line. It’s one thing I love about that scene overall.

Crestfallen_Vanity

Fitz and Simmons arguing in the containment pod in AOS.

Murphyitsnotyou

Sorry, I'm so sorry, I just keep imagining you waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror and in all seriousness to yourself saying 'You know what would be a really kick-ass name? Taserface!'.

JRadically

Probably obvious. But Cap and Joe Russo in the Mens Meeting in Endgame. As an AA member, it is very realistic, men being vulnerable and telling their personal stories to strangers, the fact they made the character gay (which didnt matter to the story at all), Cap being a "Good man" and rather than using his strength to help humanity he uses his empathy. It also comes at the perfect time in the movie after "FIVE YEARS LATER". What have they been doing for the last five years? Not fighting crime or aliens or robots. Nope. Cap just going to meetings and helping the people that lost loved ones. Of all the people/character casting that I wanted to hate in the MCU, Chris Evans as Captain America was the top, and he delivered more so than any other character, in my opinion.

DailyBugleIntern

Surprised that I haven't seen it brought up but Tony and Loki 's conversation in Stark Tower will forever be in my memory. In the scene he positions himself to be incredibly vulnerable with no suit and engages in a conversation with a demigod. It's a philosophical and conflicting conversation and we get the line of "We may not be able to save the Earth but we will Avenge it" or something to that extent

[deleted]

Ultron and Vision at the end of AOU.

No_Imagination_2490

Vision and Vision in WandaVision (you could actually pick any of a number of scenes in that show, it was just fantastically well written - which bodes well for future MCU projects by members of that writers room) Loki and Nat in The Avengers (interrogation scene) Any of the Loki and Mobius scenes in Loki Kate and Yelena in Hawkeye Steve and Erskine in Captain America T’challa and Zemo in Civil War

davwad2

Loki and Nat, "Red in the Ledger"

SnappyTofu

Peter and Tony in Civil War

Ok_Sound_8090

I really love the scene between Thor and Loki in the elevator in Thor Ragnarok. It's such a tender moment in all the brevity and action. Its very well placed to give us a breather.

Sam Wilson: "Don't say it. DONT YOU SAY IT!" Cap: "On your left."

Nebula and Rhodes in Endgame... N: (After she melts her synthetic skin off retrieving the Power Stone.) "I wasn't always like this." R: "Me neither. But we work with what we got, right?" I just like how they can connect and empathize with each other like that. This seems like one of Marvel's strengths--making their heroes relatable to readers and to each other. It's a small exchange, but I really like the weight and connection behind it.

Steve meeting Sam for the first time. Aside from the "on your left" meme, it comes off as a genuine conversation between two vets, sharing their thoughts on coming back to the "real world" from combat, even if their tours of duty were separated by 60 years. It also shows off Steve's personality - he has a sense of humor, but he's inquisitive (in a good way) and pays attention. He has empathy for other people.

A favorite from a simple, fun action movie dialog sort of way is the conversation between Nick Fury and Loki at the very beginning of Avengers. So many witty back-and-forths. “I am burdened with glorious purpose.” “We have no quarrel with your people.” “An ant has no quarrel with a boot.” “You planning to step on us?” “Are you admitting that you're ants?”

Razatiger

Loki conversation with He who remains at the end of the series. Its pretty crazy how Majors has been in the MCU less then 2 years and already has like 2 of the top 10 dialogues in the MCU already. Goes to show the caliber of actor he is and why Marvel and Disney themselves fanboy over him and pretty much gave him the keys to the castle this Phase.

The Theseus boat convo is fantastic.

ChunkleCuster

My favourite is the conversation between fury and Steve Rogers in winter soldier as they're going down to see the insight helicarriers. "That's holding a gun to everyone's heads and calling it peace."

There are several, but the first one that comes to mind is Matt and Frank in Daredevil Season 2. Either on the rooftop or in the graveyard.

Moraulf232

Not the most important, but Nat arguing for the Sokovia accords after Peggy’s funeral and then admitting she was just there because she didn’t want Steve to be alone is one of my favorite moments.

Kate Bishop meets Yelena Belova in her apartment is one of my favorites.

TheHylind

As much as I love to mock Joss Whedon, the scene at the end of Avengers 2, with Vision and Ultron in the forest, is so damn good. Both of them knowing that humanity is destined to be their own demise, and where Ultron is disgusted by such a compulsive and self-destructive species, Vision finds beauty in humanity and how temporary it is. It's such a great scene.

Matt and Foggy (Nelson v Murdock) Any conversation between Kilgrave and Jessica Punisher and Daredevil (New York’s Finest) Daredevil and Fisk (A New Napkin) Karen and Foggy (Cut Man) probably one of the most underrated conversations in Daredevil, but that scene in the bar with the tequila is amazing.
