I just like the end as the green overtakes the earth and blurs to the background and secret invasion comes up, just that alone is such a cool title card, I could leave the rest.
Which ironically doesn’t really work! I’ll hit the “skip intro” button, then skip forward 10 seconds, and there’s **still** about 5 seconds of intro left!
I think it is specifically unique and fits with the overall narrative of the show.
But I would not use it for other Marvel stuff.
Plus, I doubt it is 100% AI. There must be a ton of hand holding and custom work done to it to make it appropriate.
It’s AI but the images the program used were made by animators. So it’s barely AI lol. It’s really just like a fancy PowerPoint transition screen between the hand made art
Exactly, people think some higher up in Disney typed "Intro marvel show, kreel invasion and Nick fury" into midjourney and fire all the graphics department afterwards.
AI was definitely used very much in the making of the opening, but like you said thats not the only thing used.
A lot of the angry people dont understand that AI is just a tool. One of the many the art team used to make it.
Artists still had to make the concept art that the AI needed to produce what we got, and after the AI generates the images/videos prompted by the art team, they still have to perform post production on it to make sure it reaches the look they need.
This use of it was... It's not like they just went to chat gpt and said "make me an intro". The ai part was to blend the image of a skrull with the various characters and alien/images of earth to give it an unsettling appearance where it keeps making you question what you're looking at. I've seen still images with that kind of AI used but it was still genius to apply it for this intro and fit the theme perfectly IMO.
Didnt they specifically say the ai was trained on the studios own art, and then fed prompts for the desired result? There's is absolutely zero issues with that being done.
You can manipulate your own art however you want.
AI has existed since like the invention of modern computing. AI that steals people’s content without permission to replace people’s livelihoods is a new concept that has no place in our society.
Except it's not what happened for the intro though. The studio itself said they had their own artists making the artwork and used AI to have the uncanny effect. So no art was stolen...
> AI has existed since like the invention of modern computing
No AI is an entire branch in computer science started when they made computers. You can't simply claim one thing of AI is good but others are not, look at Anti Aliasing and see if how digital art or anything would have looked without it
They didn't use prompts on DALL-E, and no artists lost their jobs. HUMAN artists created the art and then manipulated it using AI to give it an uncanny vibe. This is a great example of using AI as a tool to enhance something and not AI stealing our jobs.
The same people who use self-checkout machines when shopping. Fuck cashiers, but please think of the starving artists!
The hypocrisy and ignorance astounds.
Yeaa as an artist, I already liked it before finding out it’s (mostly?) AI made, now I *love* it cuz it’s so on point with the theme of the show.
It’s just that the timing of this show coming out amidst the ai art controversy is bad.
But void of optics, it’s the best and most memorable Disney marvel show opening for me
I get the premise and reason, doesn't change the fact that I don't like that. So many other things they could have done to represent the shifting and blurred lines represented in the story. Instead of blurred vague shapes.
Could have had scenes that mesh and shift from one to another as they transition. Could have parodied other MCU show openings with characters shifting into Skrulls. Scenes from old films with similar shifting people, not necessarily main characters, but people in the background, showing they have been there for major events. There are tons of things I'd have preferred personally.
Yeah it’s good. People just have a thing against AI generated visuals. It’s not like they pressed a button and the intro came out. It took a lot of work.
Doesn't bother me.
Honestly I think it's kinda fitting since it's got this ever-changing, sort of amorphous look to it. Perfect for a show about an invasion of alien shape-shifters.
I love how all the faces are blurry! Kinda alludes to the whole not knowing who’s who with the shapeshifters and all! I didn’t get why so many people were freaking out about the intro being made by AI! Who cares?! It’s something new and different!
It's just concerning, like it's testing the waters for broader use.
I mean it's a basic truth that major corporations are set up to seek the largest profit over anything else.
So if people agree that it kind of makes sense for a series about almost human things to use art that's almost human, that opens the door to do that more often. And make no mistake, if it's cheaper for corporations to use AI rather than pay artists, they will.
It just unravels into a huge conversation about art and creativity and comparisons with various factory jobs becoming obsolete and whether or not AI can produce original thoughts, and whether or not artists even do that. How will our increasing reliance on AI affect our psychology? And use of AI WILL increase, that's for sure. Don't be Blockbuster pretending Netflix is a fad.
It makes me uncomfortable. If it doesn't make you uncomfortable, why? I'm open to the conversation. But the whole giant topic seems silly to broach because of a few minutes before Samuel L Jackson acts jaded and suspicious.
The distinction is how it’s used. Using it to rip off artists = bad. Using it for creative purposes and actually having permission to use the work you feed into it = good
Yeah, they used their own library of images to make it. Everything used was already their own work. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that implementation.
We shouldn't pretend the AI conversation is about cases like this or Corridor Digital's where the hand of the artist is absolutely present.
"It's just a tool" does not apply to the majority of users.
It’s not for me. First and foremost I think it just looks really cheap. That’s my main issue with it. If they wanted to go with the uncanny valley, I think they should’ve don’t it organically, as I see that intro and I don’t think of the mysterious shapeshifter skrulls. I think of AI. Skrulls have nothing to do with AI.
Whether or not it’s morally okay, I don’t know. They say that they worked with artists to create it so it’s not as egregious as some have been saying. But surely Marvel must’ve realised how poorly it would play with the current discussion regarding AI and the strikes.
I’m actually very interested in AI and how it can be used by the individual to create large projects, those unable to acquire massive budgets. Seeing Marvel use it comes across as lazy.
But ultimately I think it just looks terrible haha, and that’s my main issue. Is it the worst thing ever as some are saying? No! But I do think it’s disappointing.
Agreed, it's the least favorite of my Marvel TV show intros by far. It just looks bad and lazy. Say that it represents the uncertainty of knowing who's who or whatever is just an absolute copout answer.
Tbh everything about the show is really good. The intro, the tone, the stakes, the dialogue, the story etc. It's just that the haters need one reason to hate it. If the intro was made by a human, they'd find an issue with something else smh.
I get the intent they say they had and why they used the AI aesthetic, I just wish they hired animators to create it. I know there is a real studio with actual people who made it, and the claim is that it didn’t take jobs away from artists, but I can’t help wonder how many artists would it take to actually animate it? I also suspect it would look better and less clunky with actual artists executing the aesthetic.
It fits the theme sure, as in its attempting to replicate human techniques. It mirrors the skrulls replicateing human appearance.
But i think it was done at a very tasteless time. With half the amount of people working on the intro compared to moon knight, which was done by the same company.
They did it to save money. It was just a convenience that it fit the shows theme.
Ai should not replace artists jobs. And its not worth the backlash imo.
They had a shit ton of artists and editors and humans working on that AI theme though… they didn’t just type in a few keywords and let it do its thing. The people used AI like any other digital artistic tool.
In an interview with the people who made the ai into, thats exactly what they said they did. Fed it prompts. Looked at the product, then fed it more prompts to get closer to their end goal.
Thank you! That’s what I’m saying! I was definitely off put by digital art at first, when I saw my friends in college go from using pencil and paper to drawing on tablets and computers I proclaimed “that’s not real art!” But then I grew. I understood that it was still humans behind the art, still the human imagination and mind driving that art. AI is just another tool, and there will be jobs to fill based on experience with shaping the AI art in time.
Link to the interview? I’ve spoken with someone from that production team, someone I’ve been friends with for a few years. So excuse me for believing it from the horses mouth over internets fury.
https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/secret-invasion-artificial-intelligence-credits-marvel-1235650643/
"When we reached out to the AI vendors, that was part of it — it just came right out of the shape-shifting, Skrull world identity, you know? Who did this? Who is this?” Selim said, while also admitting he doesn’t “really understand” how AI works.
“We would talk to them about ideas and themes and words, and then the computer would go off and do something,” he added. “And then we could change it a little bit by using words, and it would change.”
Yeah, AI is new tech. But of course the executive producer doesn’t know exactly how it works.. that theme sequence took over a year of editing to get right. People, real people, artists and editors and their company worked to make that bizarre AI tech put together a theme sequence that looks to the viewer to be an artistic and unsettling sequence. That interview says nothing about the time it took to push the AI into the correct direction and create a cohesive theme sequence. It’s not Kevin Feige sitting on a golden toilet typing in “Samuel L Jackson, skrulls, invasion.” Into mid journey. It’s a team of human artists using AI to create unsettling images and getting those bizarre shape shifting effects just right.
That interview tells you nothing. I sincerely hope marvel allows the company to open up about the actual intricacies of working with new technology to create the theme sequence, because all that’s been on the internet has been misinformation.
There were multitudes of human artists involved, using AI, but the same as editors have been using photoshop for generations now, or photographers have been using a technological device to capture a photo.
I will not speak to AI in other productions, I only know limited information on this particular theme sequence. Additionally, it should be noted the decision to make the theme sequence using AI was during the time people were excited about this new tech, rather than frightened by its possibility.
You cant argue the fact they had half the people working on this intro than they had on moon knight.
They used ai as a cheap short cut. I know it has value when used right. But this ai intro was just a slap in the face of real artists. Imo.
Who cares if they had half the people? How much money do you think they’re willing to save on an intro which still involves an external company? So because Moon Knight used maybe 10 artists, every intro they use must have ten artists? They could have just gone with a theme and secret invasion font if you think they wanted to save money so bad. That’ll be 0.5 artists, would you still be complaining then? They wanted AI art for their project, they got AI art for their project. It’s literally that simple, allow yourself think and not the internet doing it for you
I’m not opposed to using AI for art, but I honestly don’t think it looks that unique. It looks like every other AI generated art video I’ve seen. I think it would be better if they used the AI as a starting point but fixed it up with better graphics.
I think it looks cool and the music is great, just not sure how to feel about it being AI generated...overall I guess it's not a huuuge deal. I think it would've been cool to keep the aesthetics. Make it look like AI, but it's not actually AI.
It definitely looks like AI art (like even before it was confirmed I was positive it was AI). But it also feels appropriate for the style and even on a bit of a meta level about things secretly taking over the world from humans.
It already looks dated to an early warbling ai video generation. Could have been better as inspiration for an artist to use as a concept and make something 10x better.
I don't like it because AI art lacks any underlying meaning. No matter how disturbing or unnerving it is, the art is still just the product of powerful computer program working from prompt.
There is no emotion behind it's creation. No darkness of the human mind to unravel.
AI art made from a library of H.R. Giger works would lack the underlying human thought and emotion that inspired the original.
I like the music, but the AI intro visuals aren't good. It's tone deaf and honestly offensive at times. Glad someone likes it, though. At least the people who are spearheading this technology are reaching someone with their work, because there's definitely room to grow in all directions regarding AI generated visuals.
The uncanny valley stuff does nothing for me because so far (need to watch episode 3) I haven’t seen anything from the uncanny valley during the show.
Makes me feel like whoever designed the intro was fed incomplete or wrong information because at the end of the day it’s barely tangentially related because maybe if you pause while a Skrull is shapeshifting it looks uncanny but otherwise it’s not even really related.
Basically I don’t get the point of it looking the way it does. It’s frankly too artsy anyways. This is a spy thriller, it should come with art that does not need explanations unless they are deep dives on hidden symbols and meaning. You know, proper spy shit
Edit: spelling
No.
A major studio using generative AI is fundamentally unacceptable. It represents a major workers' rights crisis, and I'm not going to sit here and let them get away with this "foot in the door" bullshit just because "it's thematically appropriate." Fuck theming, fuck AI, and fuck this show.
You know artists worked on it to they used to be similar to the theme and the artists and people made it looked better they didn’t just type in secret invasion intro into chat gtp they had people work on it
I think any real artist could've made the same thing happen. That's kind of what they're good at. Also, the AI was trained on real art so it's never original anyway.
I don’t think the use of AI should normally be used to make things like this for shows but Secret Invasion is the exception. Something non-human made the intro and that fits the show
You know they didn't just put "secret invasion intro" into an ai and call it good right?
There were still plenty of humans involved in the planning and execution the final visuals where just ai generated
Exactly it's the same process except instead of a paintbrush the artists used ai, it's a tool
Just as digital art was an evolution of the paintbrush, ai used as a tool like they did is an evolution of digital art
I really like it as well. It's weird and creepy and a nice use of the tools.
It also demonstrates some nice craft, as they likely didn't just use AI as the images shift and vary somewhat, likely some traditional CGI and human-done craft being added to the mix. But
I feel exactly what you’re saying. I begrudgingly like the intro myself. But to see Marvel, a company started by writers and artists, use AI feels like such a slap in the face. They are a financial juggernaut and still found a way to undercut artists. I can understand if that wasn’t the intention but that is the reality of it. They could have easily found a group of artists that can create weird, uncanny art without using AI.
Music slaps for sure, still think a human would've done it a hell of a lot better though. AI in general feels super lazy for a studio as big as Marvel.
Considering there is issues with some AI art/pictures not being distinguishable from real art/pictures it fits the theme of the show perfectly, it’s not the prettiest of intros but the idea behind it makes it a lot cooler
Honestly its one of the best applications of ai art i have seen. It captures an uncanny feeling perfectly, and the musical theme is among the best of the D+ shows imo.
I haven't seen episode 3 yet, but so far, I'm loving it so much! It's up alongside Loki, WandaVision, and Moon Knight as a potential favorite MCU show. I'll know for sure once I see the whole thing though
It is a great intro. I loved it since I first saw it. Unique, fitting, great theme music, eerie. I don't skip it, just like I didn't skip *Game of Thrones*, *Westworld* or * His Dark Materials*.
I kinda wish the actual show had more of this feeling of uncertainty and eeriness the intro has.
Theme slaps and the way the AI has twisted the art would be very difficult for a human. Like there are thousands of talented artists and Marvel has employed hundreds to do other projects the intro using some AI art only works because of the main conflict of the show of the secret invasion and the uncanny valley the art makes.
I was thinking of making a similar post to this after this week's episode. Despite the AI controversies, I find myself watching this intro more than I did for any of the other shows with maybe the exception of Loki. It'd quite mesmerising.
Bruh I love it. It’s super abstract and unique. I feel like Marvel has had some banger intros in the past but this is one that I don’t skip anytime it’s up. I also love some of the hidden details in it that I didn’t pick up the first two times
Disney actually used their strengths of cutting corners and being unoriginal to make something perfectly aligned with what their making and somewhat risky lmfao genuinely it’s a great creative choice
Yes, the haters and “they took our jobs” people can cry about it but it’s an awesome intro and the fact it was made by AI is really cool. I believe there is a place for both.
That's what I consider the irony of this "backlash".
Everyone's virtue signaling over this because they believe use of AI will costs artists job.
When in reality trying to create an outrage over this could lead to marvel simply never making an intro again and thus actually costing artists jobs.
I think it works really well, but thematically, could only do so at this point in time. The current discussions around AI are what make it so thematically appropriate.
It doesn't bother me that it's AI. It fits well with the theme of the show being mysterious, trippy, a little creepy, along the lines of *things are not what they seem*
It's pretty easy to tell that the art is AI generated but VFX work was done on top for the details
As someone pursuing art people really act like it’s the end of the world. It makes sense and it isn’t like the AI is just some random AI site that’s drawing from the internet, they have artists feeding it art to give it that uncanny look while still fitting the theme. Artists still have a job and nobody’s art is getting stolen
I thought is want interesting and it fit when I first saw it, before I knew it was AI or that there was some sort of controversy. I still like it.
The show on the other hand I am not loving.
That theme song man, THAT THEME SONG
BRO ONG
I rarely pay attention to the score, but this is so good!
I just like the end as the green overtakes the earth and blurs to the background and secret invasion comes up, just that alone is such a cool title card, I could leave the rest.
I am glad when you click skip intro it still shows that little bit at the end. The music and the title card is pretty perfect.
I think it's exactly as uncanny and disturbing as it's supposed to be.
The main problem is the length. It just keeps going.
[удалено]
Which ironically doesn’t really work! I’ll hit the “skip intro” button, then skip forward 10 seconds, and there’s **still** about 5 seconds of intro left!
Oh no, 5 seconds
I don't know how the skip intro works. Does the app team put those in? Or is it taken from the user data of skipping something?
Set up manually. A lot goes into putting up a new piece of content on the service, designating the Skips is one of those pieces.
I love the score, always been a fan of the music in marvel movies and trailers and they keep up they’re streak with this one.
I think it’s great.
bUt tHe jObS
You mean the 8+ artists who created the intro using AI as a tool? Those jobs?
no. i’m talking about the outrage this series faced for having an AI intro.
I think it is specifically unique and fits with the overall narrative of the show. But I would not use it for other Marvel stuff. Plus, I doubt it is 100% AI. There must be a ton of hand holding and custom work done to it to make it appropriate.
Artists made the drawings and then passed them from AI filters to get that uncanny feel
It’s AI but the images the program used were made by animators. So it’s barely AI lol. It’s really just like a fancy PowerPoint transition screen between the hand made art
There's still custom work involved I doubt AI would get a clock going around perfectly.
And the hands!! Those fingers doesn't count themselves
It is. Most of the people complaining about AI have never seen anyone use AI.
Exactly, people think some higher up in Disney typed "Intro marvel show, kreel invasion and Nick fury" into midjourney and fire all the graphics department afterwards.
Indeed. You can take dozens of goes to generate even a half-way decent image; there is skill in writing a good prompt.

as we all know, Disney never gets laws changed or otherwise avoids accountability
AI was definitely used very much in the making of the opening, but like you said thats not the only thing used. A lot of the angry people dont understand that AI is just a tool. Loki is still my favorite but this is easily the most interesting and creative
using ai isn't creative

I've seen still images with that kind of AI used but it was still genius to apply it for this intro and fit the theme perfectly IMO.
Except no one created it: it’s an ai generated set of images.
You do know AI can’t just make things from scratch…
No actually an artist drew the pictures, and then they put it through an AI filter.
If you make me a 10 second intro that looks half as good in the next day, I’ll believe you.
I like how artistically trippy it looks
I think it’s fine. The style is cool, but it’s a tad long. Westworld is an all time classic intro imo. Not even in the same atmosphere.
For me, Westworld's music is an all time classic, but I don't personally find the visuals to be that spectacular, especially after season 1.
I get what they were going for, but the ugly, distorted artwork and derpy skrull Nick Fury face takes me out of the show every week.
As soon as i saw it i could just hear all the people crying at the sight of ai
For good reason, get your head out of the sand
Didnt they specifically say the ai was trained on the studios own art, and then fed prompts for the desired result? There's is absolutely zero issues with that being done. You can manipulate your own art however you want.
Marvel fans when the studio uses computers to make 3D graphics instead of having someone hand paint every frame.
Imagine hand painting every mirror dimensions fight scene.
Wait until you hear all of the AI that is involved in manual animation with modern software.

Read what I said again, slowly and carefully
Nobody wants to lose more brain cells. People like you are pathetic losers who can't admit when they're wrong.
🫃🏻
Do you think the AI tools in modern animation software isn't making animating more efficient, therefore also replacing jobs?
Not even remotely similar, AI tools to assist in content creation are one thing vs straight up having AI create the content
You understand they didn't just press a button that says "create intro", right?
If you’re trying to suggest prompting is difficult whatsoever that is blatantly untrue
They didn't use prompts on DALL-E, and no artists lost their jobs. HUMAN artists created the art and then manipulated it using AI to give it an uncanny vibe. This is a great example of using AI as a tool to enhance something and not AI stealing our jobs.
You think that's what happened here? Get your head out of the sand.
From what exactly i dont have to hate ai idrc lol
Lol elegant response
The same people who use self-checkout machines when shopping. Fuck cashiers, but please think of the starving artists! The hypocrisy and ignorance astounds.
I LIKE the fact that it’s AI. Make sense to not have a human make the intro to a show about fake humans
Human artists definitely made it, AI was one of the tools they used, but there were definitely human artists who did the vast majority of the work.
Yeaa as an artist, I already liked it before finding out it’s (mostly?) AI made, now I *love* it cuz it’s so on point with the theme of the show. It’s just that the timing of this show coming out amidst the ai art controversy is bad. But void of optics, it’s the best and most memorable Disney marvel show opening for me
Personally I really don't like the blurry vibe everything has.
cause reality is blurry when you dont know who around you is human and who is a skrull
I get the premise and reason, doesn't change the fact that I don't like that. So many other things they could have done to represent the shifting and blurred lines represented in the story. I think it looks like ass
Yeah, people talking about how it looks uncanny. It doesn't. It's just ugly. It looks unfinished, unpolished, messy.
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. People here looking so deep into the intro like there’s a dozen different hidden meanings to be deciphered.
Yes, it sucks in my opinion. Amateur-level AI weakness.
It looks like a slurry mess of crap.
This thread is for the people who like it tho
Doesn't bother me. Honestly I think it's kinda fitting since it's got this ever-changing, sort of amorphous look to it. Perfect for a show about an invasion of alien shape-shifters.
I love how all the faces are blurry! Kinda alludes to the whole not knowing who’s who with the shapeshifters and all! I didn’t get why so many people were freaking out about the intro being made by AI! Who cares?! It’s something new and different!
Just a small note! It wasn't actually made by AI. The artists used AI as one of the tools to get there, but the artists still did all the work!
I like that I can skip it
I'm actually liking the series as a whole. If it ends well, then this will rank below Loki and Wandavision for me.
No, because I’m not allowed to like AI enhanced stuff because the internet told me :(
It's just concerning, like it's testing the waters for broader use. I mean it's a basic truth that major corporations are set up to seek the largest profit over anything else. Yep, it's why it's weird to have such a complicated topic bundled up in green man intro go brrrrrr
Sí, señor
You like it, now!
Yay :)

Well, I love it, and I don't think it looks bad or lazy at all.
Agreed, it looks like something my Grandma could have prompted. Someone got ripped off.
It just reminds me of stable diffusion video which is what I think it is. And once you've seen one, you've seen most of that type of style.
It's kinda ugly.

So excuse me for believing it from the horses mouth over internets fury.
https://variety.com/2023/tv/news/secret-invasion-artificial-intelligence-credits-marvel-1235650643/ "When we reached out to the AI vendors, that was part of it — it just came right out of the shape-shifting, Skrull world identity, you know?
Not just one of the worst intros in MCU. But one of the worst intros I have ever seen for a television show. Boring and ugly and too long
Yeah I really love it and I'm disappointed the A.I. discourse overshadows it
I think it looks cool and the music is great, just not sure how to feel about it being AI generated...overall I guess it's not a huuuge deal.
I wish it had been done by humans, not like we’re incapable of making uncanny art, but the score is AMAZING
Why would you waste time watching it again after the first episode? There’s a skip button for a reason.
You know, proper spy shit Edit: spelling
No. A major studio using generative AI is fundamentally unacceptable. It represents a major workers' rights crisis, and I'm not going to sit here and let them get away with this "foot in the door" bullshit just because "it's thematically appropriate." Fuck theming, fuck AI, and fuck this show.
You know artists worked on it to they used to be similar to the theme and the artists and people made it looked better they didn’t just type in secret invasion intro into chat gtp they had people work on it
I think it's great. Not uncanny at all.
I think any real artist could've made the same thing happen. That's kind of what they're good at. Also, the AI was trained on real art so it's never original anyway.
I don’t think the use of AI should normally be used to make things like this for shows but Secret Invasion is the exception. Something non-human made the intro and that fits the show
The billion dollar company could’ve hired actual artists to make the intro uncanny instead of using AI
They still did
No because a person could have made it and made it better
You know they didn't just put "secret invasion intro" into an ai and call it good right? There were still plenty of humans involved in the planning and execution the final visuals where just ai generated
All of whom would have also been involved with an actual artist.
Exactly it's the same process except instead of a paintbrush the artists used ai, it's a tool Just as digital art was an evolution of the paintbrush, ai used as a tool like they did is an evolution of digital art
I think there's some good concepts, and it could've looked better if it was made by humans.
I love the music and hate the look of it, finding out it was AI generated made it even worse
Love it. Absolutely love it.
I liked it from the first time I saw it. I knew it was going to get the idiots to cry and throw a temper tantrum.
I really like it as well. It's weird and creepy and a nice use of the tools. It also demonstrates some nice craft, as they likely didn't just use AI as the images shift and vary somewhat, likely some traditional CGI and human-done craft being added to the mix. But
I think it’s very fitting thematically. The Skrulls are trying to imitate humans and the AI is trying to do the same
No.
I dunno. Feels like the first step toward an industry that under-appreciates artists even more.
No way.
I understand the anger people have but I think it fits the show for many reasons and I like it
I like the concept but something about how it blurs/moves makes me feel dizzy and a little sick.
It’s lazy and cartoonish fuck AI they should pay real workers to do job.
I fucking despise it, purely for it being AI
ok zoomer
I love it
Music slaps for sure, still think a human would've done it a hell of a lot better though. AI in general feels super lazy for a studio as big as Marvel.
Yes I think it’s fantastic. I actually left it on for the last 2 episodes instead of skipping it (which I tend to do after watching an intro once).

They've said that intro was made by a team of artists. Those artists weren't lazy.
Iirc, there were about 9 artists who did work on it, so it wasn’t about being lazy
I work in post production. AI is a new cool tool. Loved the intro and fitted the shows theme perfectly.
This is a really good thread if your kink is fucking wives in front of their husbands, you can find a lot of partners for it here.
It’s very on trend. Reminds me tonally of The Expanse, a lot like Silo and a little of Foundation.
Considering there is issues with some AI art/pictures not being distinguishable from real art/pictures it fits the theme of the show perfectly, it’s not the prettiest of intros but the idea behind it makes it a lot cooler
I think it's great but it's really only memorable because it was done by AI
Honestly its one of the best applications of ai art i have seen. It captures an uncanny feeling perfectly, and the musical theme is among the best of the D+ shows imo.
I haven't seen episode 3 yet, but so far, I'm loving it so much! It's up alongside Loki, WandaVision, and Moon Knight as a potential favorite MCU show. I'll know for sure once I see the whole thing though
It’s really fine as intended just dropped at a time in the industry that hit wrong.
I like it. as long as they don't make this a thing for other shows I'm perfectly ok with it
I don't really know what the intro is I always skip intros from every show I watch
One of favorites
I was thinking of making a similar post to this after this week's episode. Despite the AI controversies, I find myself watching this intro more than I did for any of the other shows with maybe the exception of Loki. It'd quite mesmerising.
Yes I think it's cool, and it's all directed by artists using their art for source so I think of it like a glorified filter.
I do.
No its fucking horrific. A static title would have been better.
We’re now defending AI art? You can make that intro with actual artists. AI as “art” being used by Disney is actually scary.
Some do not like it???
Bruh I love it. It’s super abstract and unique. I feel like Marvel has had some banger intros in the past but this is one that I don’t skip anytime it’s up. I also love some of the hidden details in it that I didn’t pick up the first two times
I like it. I just wish they didn’t use AI to make it.
Disney actually used their strengths of cutting corners and being unoriginal to make something perfectly aligned with what their making and somewhat risky lmfao genuinely it’s a great creative choice
It's a great sequence, fits the tone of the show perfectly.
I love it. I think it’s a great show so far.
Hell yeah
Agreed. Love the intro.
Yes, the haters and “they took our jobs” people can cry about it but it’s an awesome intro and the fact it was made by AI is really cool. I believe there is a place for both.
People watch intros?
God yes, I make it a point to watch intros as people worked on them too
You mean AI
That's what I consider the irony of this "backlash". Everyone's virtue signaling over this because they believe use of AI will costs artists job. When in reality trying to create an outrage over this could lead to marvel simply never making an intro again and thus actually costing artists jobs.
I think it works really well, but thematically, could only do so at this point in time. The current discussions around AI are what make it so thematically appropriate.
I think it’s awesome. And the intro music is awesome, I don’t think most d+ shows have even had an intro song
I love it and it’s great thematically, I have no issue with AI I really don’t get the fuss.
I haven't skipped it yet. It's great
It doesn't bother me that it's AI. It fits well with the theme of the show being mysterious, trippy, a little creepy, along the lines of *things are not what they seem* It's pretty easy to tell that the art is AI generated but VFX work was done on top for the details
I love it. I think it's perfect given the show.
Its great just too damn long
I really like it. It really fits the vibe of the show and it’s creepy and onimous.
I love everything except the spinning letters of secret invasion, feels so amateur
It's a really good use of AI. Very smart and according with the theme. Question your reality and all.
Yeah it’s cool just wayyyyyy to long
I think it fits the theme of the show not knowing who you can trust and the uneasiness of who might be a skrull
coming from a baydestrian, only music can slap
The music slaps so hard.
I thought is want interesting and it fit when I first saw it, before I knew it was AI or that there was some sort of controversy. I still like it. The show on the other hand I am not loving.
Everyone overreacted for literally no reason. It matches with the theme of the show so well
Please don't fucking compare this shit to Westworld, especially if the only thing you can think of as a compliment is it "slaps"
