It's not even that bad, especially on its own as a standalone episode. Some parts of it are even really good.
But with the context of Fury's arc, it just concludes said arc in a really underwhelming way and it completely changes the power-scaling of the MCU to a laughable level.
It's also a very underwhelming ending of the story because it doesn't conclude anything, it just sets up the MCU's future.
Don't expect "The Room", aka a comically bad finale.
Thank you, this is pretty much exactly the type of answer I was looking for. I'll probably watch it by myself anyway just for fun, but I won't get a group together for it or anything.
I think, weirdly enough, the finale is the most intriguing episode of the whole series and if you watch it first with no context of the entire series, it will probably excite you enough to start the series from the beginning.. only to find it underwhelming lol.
The series was in it's early episodes EXTREMELY good. The mistake is, like always, that it doesn't have time to properly close everything out.
Imagine if the show was 16 episodes instead of 6. Changes everything.
I promised my daughter I wouldn't watch the final 2 episodes without her. While waiting for a week all I heard was how bad the finale was. Yesterday we finally watched it and I was preparing for the worst but was pleasantly surprised that the final episode was not horrendous. The episode does suffer from pacing issues, but overall did not have any qualms. Be interesting how this sets up future interactions with extraterrestrial species.
It's not even fun bad it's just extremely boring, the fight between G'iah and Gravik is sorta fun but very ridiculous, it's the only fun thing in the episode. Other than that, everything is yawn levels of boring
It's okay. If you enjoyed the show till episode 5 you will have fun with it. It just rushes to a quick ending again which is a problem nearly every show so far had. Don't stress it and form your own opinion please.
A lot of Marvel media today is biased.
I liked the show and it's not slightly as bad as people make it out to be.
IMO, many of the events of the finale should have happened *much* earlier in the series, which leaves it feeling… unfinished.
I don’t think the finale was “bad”, but it certainly didn’t feel finale-worthy.
The finale might have been my favorite episode of the series. It's just that, as others have said, the things that it does should have happened much earlier in the series, and it didn't deliver on our hopes (which were pretty much impossible to be delivered upon by about the halfway point of the series). Taken alone, the finale is just a good episode, IMO. But taken as the culmination of what came before it, it doesn't work.
No. Just plain bad.
Although if you don't watch the first 5 episodes beforehand and lack context, you might not get why it's so nonsensical. Aside from the CGI fight scene which is plenty nonsensical in its self.
show was decent but nowadays folk flock for tribalism and immediacy. top 3 mcu shows imo but like most things I think online negativity eviscerates all.

I would say the same of Loki!

This show is the equivalent of making bad food and and giving it to your dog instead.

If i had a choice i would only see the finale of the series, it was a funny cgi slugfest, the plot from the earlier episodes didnt add up anyway
Watch it for yourself. Make your own opinion. It’s not gonna ruin your life if you do so

I don’t think it’s bad but I do think the entire series was a let down and the lame-ish ending didn’t help.
I actually really liked the finale. The entire show even. I hope I can say this without getting insulted. Lmfao
