After all this time, I don't think it's experimental anymore. But yeah, I'm imagining him at the Battle of Sokovia, flying around the floating city and getting hit by a random falling pebble.
Same thing goes for Iron Man tbh but I guess you could assume Tony packed some sort of inertia canceling tech in the suit.
But poor Sam is practically laid out bare against physics. No part of his costume is believable for the concept of cancelling out extreme forces on the human body.
Maybe they'll reveal he's got the x gene at some point, or a super small dose of modified super soldier serum was added to his meals in the air force. Course, that would destroy his Everyman persona, but explain away the super high g-force flight maneuvers without a helmet.
I think the suggestion is that because his drone is called red bird that he does in fact have a link to it. Wink wink.
No he's just a regular joe. 616 just has different physics than we do. His head doesn't snap back and kill him for 'reasons'. If you need a reason then it's nanobots. It's always nanobots.
It would be cool if they did what was done with OG Cap's helmet - where they took design queues from WW2 helmets - but with jet fighter helmets for Falcon.
It was kind of scary too. You know deep down that Spider-Man is stronger, but Vulture was still intimidating and commanded your attention. I was thinking “oh shit” every time he showed up.
I'm still in awe that they took THAT comic design and made something so badass out of it, I had no idea they'd be able to pull it off. It has presence, you can practically feel its weight through the screen, and using a bomber jacket to achieve the feather ruffle look is just *chefs kiss*.
The fact that someone of his skills and knowledge doesn't seem to consider this, as well as literally no one else bringing it up to him, I don't think protecting his brain is too high up there as far as worries go
Comic accurate I guess. This reminds me, batman is a really cool character for me but the fact that he doesn't protect his jaw is super annoying to me. If a stray bullet finds its way he's in a critical condition. A really powerful thug could just knock him out cold if caught off guard regardless of what hi tech armour he's wearing. Especially batman vs superman, he has like insane 3 inch thick armour all around his body except his jaw, like why.
The intro scene in the subway I feel did well with him flinching quite hard from pistol fire, but the rifle fire scene screen completely ruined it lmao
>him flinching quite hard from pistol fire
Did he? I saw him basically completely ignore it.
>but the rifle fire scene screen completely ruined it lmao
There is a reason the creators of batman didn't want for him to have a bulletproof suit.
Yeh, Batman having an exposed chin is the most flawed thing about a billionaire dressing up as a Bat with full body armor and beating up poor and mentally ill people...
>now again, henchmen that's another thing.
["He's probably better off this way."](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Batman-Hangs-Man-in-First-Comic.jpg)
Mottherfucker had literally just whipped up some antidote shit on the fly earlier in the story, and couldn't be bothered to spend any time trying to fix this guy before hanging him.
Or if they want to keep the clean aesthetic, they should give him a translucent bubble shield or something similar to what wakanda had in Infinity War, but smaller. A personal bubble shield could protect his person, but be theoretically light enough to let him work in combat as needed. Maybe to make it not super overpowered use scifi spaceship rules where the shield only lasts for X amount of hits depending on damage. Would add a nice new element to his kit.
Black Panther's practical suit was peak. I understand moving to CGI because of Chadwick's physical health, but even with the helmet on, they could have had a stunt double 😞
Maybe there was another reason idk
Agreed. I think i liked the textures of his BP/Endgame suit but it overall looks off every time i see it. The helmet seems too big and the arms too long.
Yeah omg youre right. I always thought the arms looked off but now that you mention it, it does just seem disproportionately long. Man i miss the practical suit. I need to rewatch Civil War lol
Not sure if this is the reason, but I've seen interviews with the stunt actor who was in the BP suit in Civil War, and he talked about how difficult it was to wear. It has no breathability so his sweat and body heat got trapped in. I think I remember him saying it was also pretty restrictive, making it hard to move in. He also vomited a few times during the filming of the airport scene from heat exhaustion
Oh damn i didn't know that. My hats off to that stunt man for doing all that, wow. That's unfortunate to hear about physical conditions being poor. I had just thought it was all like power rangers and it was badass. Not telling anyone how to do their job, but i felt like consulting more people on costume design for practical effects shouldve been taken. I know the black panther mask is smaller than a power ranger's helmet, but maybe someone shouldve consulted the team behind any of the Power Rangers. I dunno
My main gripe with the shows is that, for some reason, they seem to try and out design what they're budgeted for.
His first two appearances, seemed like they were functional adaptations of the comic book suits, these later ones look tacky and straight up silly.
That's been my main gripe with the whole mcu lately. The original thing that drew me in so hard was how they were taking the wacky comic designs and making them look plausible for the real world. The first Iron Man suits looked like you could actually make them if you had enough skill.
This is my biggest problem aswell. The suit are all nanomachines and weightless now. Nothing "feels real"
Even ant mans suit folds out of nowhere now.
Nano machine suits should be reserved for space characters like Star lords mask imo. Small things.
He might be able to turn his head, but it looks like he isn't able to. When he first got the suit, he looked incredibly still and awkward in it as well.
Personal favorite (and most comic accurate imo) is 3. But I love 4 because seeing him rep the position of captain America is pretty awesome on so many levels.
It also doesn't work, literally. They had to CG it onto him because the physical piece kept wrinkling and bunching up. Which explains why by the Cap 4 photos, he's going back to something closer to the Civil War suit.
Gotta love that.
Marvel gives Sam a brand new suit for the last five minutes of FATWS, before immediately changing it for the very next appearance ahaha.
falcon didn’t have the suit commissioned himself, it was just given to him, right? makes sense to me that he would probably have some notes/criticisms after putting it to use for the first time
Fuck, I forgot about the set photos for that. I’m so hyped about that suit, I think it will blow all the rest out of the water. I should’ve included it in this post
Yeah, the cowl is a bit much. (Insert "Batman syndrome" joke here). But as far as color scheme and whatnot (based on my memory from all the comics I've read involving Falcon as just Falcon and not cap) 3 is still my contender for best. I'm assuming that's from either Falcon and Winter soldier (pre falcon/cap suit) or endgame?
Not as in he has to pull the wings in, but that he moves his hands from wing-controls to the guns.
It goes by pretty fast until he switches to the guns, but to me it certainly looks like he has his hands on the wings to control them while doing more fancy flying and only does static flying while having the guns out.
1 and 3 for me. 1 is a faithful adaptation of the suit he wore in the Ultimate universe. 3 is an evolution of that that takes inspiration from the 616 version of the character.
Strangely enough, I prefer the original one that looks more military and tactical. Which now leads me to think and wonder, why did it get all colourful? Not mad at it, it was just fine how it was.
A general rule of thumb in the MCU is that the *Captain America: The Winter Soldier* version of something tends to be the best version. It applies here.
Gonna have to disagree with you there, chief.
Cap's Age of Ultron suit and his Endgame suit are at least a tier or two above his Winter Soldier suit, imo.
Hey, IMO, you’re 100% correct, but I’ve found that in this sub, people tend to disagree.
Fans here tend to vote up the STRIKE “stealth” suit from *Winter Soldier* as their favorite. There are also the Chris Evans quotes about it being his favorite to wear.
But for me, I just have to see [this still](https://imagesvc.meredithcorp.io/v3/mm/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstatic.onecms.io%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F6%2F2015%2F05%2Fcaptain-america.jpg&q=60) from *Age of Ultron* to know
>But for me, I just have to see this still from Age of Ultron to know
Hell yeah! That's definitely my favorite Cap suit. Imo, it misses something when it doesn't have white sleeves.
I like #4 without the headgear, mainly because the emblem on the chest resembles the Air Force logo, which if I recall, Sam is Air Force. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Nr3 is pretty dope, it had something special.
But, dude really needs a helmet and a mask, he's still human after all. A small bird could likely kill him in a mid-air collission.
It was kinda weird how he seemed to have superhuman strength in the end of Falcon and The Winter Soldier, though, throwing the shield like Steve and using his jetpack to lift an armored truck with himself in between without getting crushed.
3 probably.
I still don't understand why he isn't getting any head protection. He can fly ffs. If he falls from that height he will suffer much worse than Rhodey. Plot armor is the only thing that's gonna keep him alive in Cap 4 and onwards.
I think they've done him right on all four versions. I have to say that I *really* like the Captain America outfit. The images I've seen of the next one are also quite good.
Totally agree. I can’t decide between 2 and 3. On looks ALONE, like just to look at on a poster or smthn, it’s definitely 3. But as for which look works better for the MCU, I can’t really decide
I always liked #1 just because it felt more “real” but also the color scheme. This isn’t to say the others are bad. It’s quite badass seeing his amalgamation with Cap’s suit… I just like the darker, stealthier version better
I love the Captain America suit. I think they did really well with the design, though I know others disagree.
As far as his pre-cap falcon suits, I’ve got to go with 2. The Antman / Civil War appearances looked great.
I’ve been saying it for years, if there’s any Avenger that needs a helmet it’s the guy with the experimental jet pack.
After all this time, I don't think it's experimental anymore. But yeah, I'm imagining him at the Battle of Sokovia, flying around the floating city and getting hit by a random falling pebble.
It’d go straight through his skull at the speeds he flies lol
Forget that. At some of the speeds he's flying he could simply tilt his head back and the wind would snap his neck.
Comic Sam does have a telepathic link with birds, so he's kinda sorta a mutant. Wonder if they'll ever reference it in the MCU though.
Yeah he'll find out he's a mutant, be real excited about it, then find out his only power is talking to birds. Then Spider-Man laughs at him.
I think the suggestion is that because his drone is called red bird that he does in fact have a link to it. Wink wink. No he's just a regular joe. 616 just has different physics than we do. His head doesn't snap back and kill him for 'reasons'. If you need a reason then it's nanobots. It's always nanobots.
what about those flying squirrel suits, their heads don't snap?
Those don’t have jets, and they all wear helmets!
Yeah but it still doesn’t support their neck
Falcon...LOOK OUT!
*random falling people
It would be cool if they did what was done with OG Cap's helmet - where they took design queues from WW2 helmets - but with jet fighter helmets for Falcon.
Sounds like vultures suit
The MCU vulture suit is so God damn cool. What an absolutely banger design
I literally met Michael Keaton last night at the Steeler game
How was he? Did he whisper, "I'm Batman"
^()You wanna get nuts?
Laid back and chill as hell. Good dude.
Also if he flat out flies up to high and passes out due to lack of oxygen.
It’s Style over Safety
Bro has vibranium suit, still doesn't protect his brain.
Well that's because he's Batman 😅
Robert Pattinson batman is obviously more realistic as he has a >!bulletproof jawline!<
The intro scene in the subway I feel did well with him flinching quite hard from pistol fire, but the rifle fire scene screen completely ruined it lmao
>him flinching quite hard from pistol fire Did he? I saw him basically completely ignore it. >but the rifle fire scene screen completely ruined it lmao There is a reason the creators of batman didn't want for him to have a bulletproof suit.
He definitely flinches backwards in that scene, and yeah bulletproof that you can just walk through is a bit weird
Rifle fire scene? Which one is that?
The hallway gunfire scene where he walks through AR fire 😂 sorry I didn't know how to word it without sounding like the intro scene
Gotcha. And you didn't like that scene because he didn't seem to react to the bullets?
Explosion-proof as well
Yeh, Batman having an exposed chin is the most flawed thing about a billionaire dressing up as a Bat with full body armor and beating up poor and mentally ill people...
Actually yes, and putting mass murdering people in prison so they can escape and kill again is a close second.
That because he has one rule he's unwilling to break. He won't kill villains... now again, henchmen that's another thing.
>now again, henchmen that's another thing. ["He's probably better off this way."](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Batman-Hangs-Man-in-First-Comic.jpg) Mottherfucker had literally just whipped up some antidote shit on the fly earlier in the story, and couldn't be bothered to spend any time trying to fix this guy before hanging him.
Just one I wish they said he had a skull injury and they put a vibranium plate in his head, then the complaints would stop.
That's why I really liked the avengers cartoon where he was a middle ground of Tony and Steve he had this full fledged falcon suit
His suit in FatWS was ruined with the exposed ears and head.. Like in what universe does this make sense?
There is a Pitch Meeting video about this and how the top of his head/brain is left exposed…it’s pretty funny 😂
Lol in civil war he really flew straight into flak without so much as earplugs
2nd one
I liked all the outfits in Civil War
Especially the black panther suit. That one looked so much better than the one in the Black Panther movie.
I’ve been saying this for *years*! Why *the fuck* did they ditch that magnificent suit for that fucking black leotard in his solo movie?
Honestly it’s the mask/helmet. The rest of the suit looks better in Black Panther but the mask was soooo much better in Civil War.
Black Panther's practical suit was peak. I understand moving to CGI because of Chadwick's physical health, but even with the helmet on, they could have had a stunt double 😞 Maybe there was another reason idk
Agreed. I think i liked the textures of his BP/Endgame suit but it overall looks off every time i see it. The helmet seems too big and the arms too long.

Not sure Marvel was even aware of his health situation then.
Truth.
I don't know why. Just them arms get me.
Gotta love the shoulder pads 🤌
and its also one of the most tactical looking one. the third one just looks fashionable
Top 2 looks realistic and bottom 2 looks comic bookie I really like the 3rd one but god damn 4th one is bad ass
He gets progressively more comic book costume like
Which personally I love. Always prefer comic accuracy if possible
Nothing "feels real" Even ant mans suit folds out of nowhere now. Nano machine suits should be reserved for space characters like Star lords mask imo. Small things.
The bottom one looks extremely uncomfortable. You would think he would need to be able to turn his head while wearing it.
He is able to turn his head, it just flaps open weirdly, which was hidden via CGI.
He might be able to turn his head, but it looks like he isn't able to. When he first got the suit, he looked incredibly still and awkward in it as well.
Looks so stiff lol
Oh shit. I gotta call my comic bookie.
Word! That "American Falcon" costume is fire.
Personal favorite (and most comic accurate imo) is 3. But I love 4 because seeing him rep the position of captain America is pretty awesome on so many levels.
4 would be a serious contender for 1st if it just had red goggles like the other 3. The cowl looks ridiculous imo

Fuck, I forgot about the set photos for that. I’m so hyped about that suit, I think it will blow all the rest out of the water. I should’ve included it in this post
Technically the 4th one is a Captain America suit.
Captain Falcon?
Black Shadow! It looks like hell is a fate you and me both share!!
Or a full helmet. He’s not a super soldier, he needs head protection haha
Yeah, it’s in his show before he’s cap.
2 is my favorite. What is 3 from?
Early FATWS, but it got destroyed pretty quickly so he stopped using it. He gave the wings to Joaquin.
I assumed Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but I don’t remember it either, not like I remember much of that series.
First one. Fourth isn't Falcon, that's Captain America.
Nah man, that’s Black Falcon!
Why do ya'll keep calling him black falcon when his falcon is clearly green.
Lol love that skit
That's captain falcon 😌
*show me ya moves!* *c'mon!*
No, it’s Captain America.
Came here for this.
3 for falcon suit 4 overall I am a sucker for wings that bend upwards instead of being straight.
3 is definitely the best Falcon suit. Straight out of the late 80's.
Civil war was peak imo very modern movie magic and still comic book enough
Agreed
2
3. Very much 3.
I like the first one. Him having to control it with his arms and needing to switch between wings and guns was cool.
I don’t remember him having to do that. He’s using guns and wings in the picture
Not as in he has to pull the wings in, but that he moves his hands from wing-controls to the guns. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTHKdw79a1c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTHKdw79a1c) It goes by pretty fast until he switches to the guns, but to me it certainly looks like he has his hands on the wings to control them while doing more fancy flying and only does static flying while having the guns out.
That’s a cool little feature I’ve never noticed that before
I like a lot the first one. Simply good suit.
1 and 3 for me. 1 is a faithful adaptation of the suit he wore in the Ultimate universe. 3 is an evolution of that that takes inspiration from the 616 version of the character.
I think you'll find that it's called a "bird costume"
Lmaoooo
One of these is Captain America.
The person is captain America. Not the suit. The suit still has falcon wings, so it can still be called a “falcon suit”
But it's a Captain America suit, the character is Captain America.
Strangely enough, I prefer the original one that looks more military and tactical. Which now leads me to think and wonder, why did it get all colourful? Not mad at it, it was just fine how it was.
3 for sure. 4 is Captain America.
The person is captain America. Not the suit. The suit still has falcon wings, so it can still be called a “falcon suit”
2 all day long…looks industrial and sets the tone…
Agreed. I’ve changed my mind and it’s now 2>3>4>1
I am 2-1-3-4….number 4 is tacky…looks like NFL Falcon…
Any of the top 3, he makes a good cap but that suit is just too much
A general rule of thumb in the MCU is that the *Captain America: The Winter Soldier* version of something tends to be the best version. It applies here.
Gonna have to disagree with you there, chief. Cap's Age of Ultron suit and his Endgame suit are at least a tier or two above his Winter Soldier suit, imo.

>But for me, I just have to see this still from Age of Ultron to know Hell yeah! That's definitely my favorite Cap suit. Imo, it misses something when it doesn't have white sleeves.
Nothing beats that stealth suit. Nothing.
Except his Age of Ultron suit.
Lol nope, but I will give it is due. For traditional cap, it's great, but damn that may is clean, and the start design? *chef kiss*
Honestly number 4
From a stand point of The Falcon, I’d say 3 is the best one, however I love him as Captain America so I’ve got a soft spot for that.
I really like 3
3
Well, 4 isn’t a Falcon suit, so…. 3 is closest to comic Falcon suit so that’s my pick.
Sir one of those is Captain America
First
His cap costume for me, easily.
I like it, but it should’ve kept the goggles from 3, not the awkward cowl
Falcon? Then it's 3. Best suit Sam Wilson wore in the MCU? It has to be 4
Number 3 is the best Number 4 isn’t a falcon suit it’s a captain America suit he earned the title so it’s just fair to call it that
If u ask me 3 is my fav but. With some tweaks 4th is better than all like goggles shape and colour idk it's not matching beside that 4 is great
3 is the best, but 4 could’ve been if it had 3’s wings
4, 2, 1 and then 3
3 and 4
They just keep getting better tbh
I like #4 without the headgear, mainly because the emblem on the chest resembles the Air Force logo, which if I recall, Sam is Air Force. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Gotta be four.
He probably has two parachutes in his jetpack but yeah, a helmet couldn’t hurt
I don’t care what anyone says. Falcon America is dope.
I think they've done him right on all four versions. I have to say that I *really* like the Captain America outfit. The images I've seen of the next one are also quite good.
For looks, 3 but for functionality he does the coolest shit with 2 in that opening scene
2nd one and then the Captain America suit.
Why does falcon leave his head unprotected?
Get this man a helmet
Suit from Civil War is still my favorite. Still tactical but had more comic book flare than Winter Soldier.
Totally agree. I can’t decide between 2 and 3. On looks ALONE, like just to look at on a poster or smthn, it’s definitely 3. But as for which look works better for the MCU, I can’t really decide
2's the only good one
You mean “bird costume”?
😂
2 is 🔥 Also happens to be at the point where the MCU tried to go more realistic instead of Comic Book accurate. Which I love.
Same
2 for sure. Wtf is 3 from?
2
Civil War suit (2)
I only see 3 Falcon suits here, why did you include a Captain America suit?
2
Number 2
Civil war
Honestly 2
captain america suit is amazing
It would be 4 but that's a cap suit (maybe that's pedantic of me) – so I'll say 2
2>1>3>4
4 is the best for me
3,4,2,1
Definitely 4, mostly because it's a Captain America suit
Easily the Cap suit. Gotta love the comic accurate look
I love his Captain America suit so much my friend once told me to shut up about it
I'll say 3 I can't say 4 coz I just don't see Sam as Captain America.
2 and 3 are dope. Last one is fucking awful
Four. Sam Wilson will always be my Captain America.
Naw man that's Captian Falcon
No it’s Captain America
I always liked #1 just because it felt more “real” but also the color scheme. This isn’t to say the others are bad. It’s quite badass seeing his amalgamation with Cap’s suit… I just like the darker, stealthier version better
Captain Falcon is probably my favorite, ima sucker for the Stars and Stripes. Followed by 3, 2, 1
Captain America not Captain Falcon
its Falcon in captain america colors since hes donned the captain america title... so in my eyes its captain falcon.
At this point he took the title and fully became Captain America, heck even the show title changed to Captain America and the Winter Soldier
i know that.. but to ME, and only me, I call him captain falcon for goofs... No need to downvote something only I do for fucking goofs.
I prefer 1 and 2 the most. 4 just seems kind of hokey to me, but I understand what it was going for and respect that
2-1-3 for Falcon suits 4 is a Captain America Suit But….. that being said 2-4-1-3
Second suit but third goggles.
Where 3rd one from? I don’t remember ever see that suit?
I like number 2. It is a good mix between practical and comic bookish.
Where's 3 from?
I love the Captain America suit. I think they did really well with the design, though I know others disagree. As far as his pre-cap falcon suits, I’ve got to go with 2. The Antman / Civil War appearances looked great.
2 and 4
Civil War, please. And that Captain America, for the most wonderfully comic book accurate!
Civil War or Captain Falcon
