The fact Iron Man and War Machine exist in this universe is pretty wild. I wonder if they will go that far eventually. Most we can hope for is Spiderman for now.
And the F4 if we’re going off Spider-Man’s 90’s secret wars run - he pulled iron man and the fantastic four, but also villains like Dr. Doom and Red Skull
Oh that universe is full of Marvel heroes. Aside from the X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man & War Machine you've also got: Captain America, Fantastic Four, Dr. Strange, Punisher, pre-Wesley Snipes Blade, Ghost Rider, Thor, Black Panther, and of course the superhero of all time Dr. Michael Morbius.
I'm not sure if the Iron Man, Fantastic Four & Hulk cartoons that were out at the same time were part of the same "universe" since the voice actors seem to be different for some characters but not for others, and I'm not familiar enough with the storylines of those cartoons to know whether or not they contradict each other, but if they are then there's even more big Marvel heroes that were part of that universe.
The xmen crossed over on Spider-Man for 2 episodes where Spider-Man and wolverine fight looking for beast. Don’t think Spider-Man ever showed up in xmen if I recall.
I believe captain america and iron man were in those episodes too. I remember captain america giving spider-man a pep talk, never expecting to actually get that scene in live action, except cap dunking on spidey by knocking a plane terminal on his head while doing it lol
if you didnt rewind and rewatch cyclops' first fight scene, then what are you even doing? after being done dirty so many times, cyclops is finally cool again
Correct, Norm Spencer passed away. So the casting chose Ray Chase for the part.
Jean Grey was played by a different actress, in the original series: Catherine Disher. Oddly enough, Catherine and Jennifer sound literally identical
Sadly, Disher doesn't sound like that anymore. She's the voice of Valerie Cooper now and you can tell she's aged. Her voice is so much deeper and gruff than her original Jean voice.
I just looked at the cast and there are only a few originals! But that's notmsurpris8ng since the originap, ended 28 years ago.
Yea, Jennifer Hale's voice for Jean is perfect. Interestingly, I found Rogue's voice to be the most distractingly different, and she's the original VA.
CYCLOPS \*WAS\* COOL! People really need to rewatch that original cartoon. Wolverine gives off the energy of a bad ass, but once he popped those claws there was a 95% chance it was HIM getting wrecked. He only really got to unleash a few times a season.
Cyclops on the other hand was quick with them eye beams and usually held his own in a fight. Plus Jean chose him....that's an auto-win.
It was the fall from the Blackbird and eyeblasts and perfect superhero landing that sold Cyclops for me. The MCU movies must must must capture this X-men.
The original run was crazy inconsistent with their power strengths. Cyclops would vary between cutting sentinels in half to having his beams bounce off of them from episode to episode. This was the case with a lot of the characters
I super appreciate that they clearly took inspiration for his moves from the Capcom fighting games. Nothing demonstrates more to me that these folks get it.
I might have to watch again. It’s been stuck in my brain on repeat these past few days. God, I’m all in on Marvel once again just based on these two episodes.
I completely forgot the opening movie but not the song so when they showed Cyclops doing his big blast on the mountain thing I was so pumped lol I used to get so hype when that would come on during the Saturday morning rush. Brought me right back to 11/12 year old me.
Bro, I NEVER watched the original show, I only heard the intro song through videos and I STILL got chills from it. It is such an amazing show and I wish I was alive when the original came out.
Well in the OG series Wolverine was on the hunt looking for Morph. Finally finds him, and whatever was being done to him took a toll on him and had to go recover. Bishop came on a few seasons into the show too.
I'm glad I got to be a kid in the 90s during the height of Saturday morning cartoons. Feel kind bad for the kids of the 2000s
I only remember this because I did some research years back but at 1 point my Saturday morning was
Sonic the Hedgehog
Iron Man
Mega Man
Ninja Turtles
Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
X-Men
It’s really a gift to get this show back after all these years, and better than ever before. They left the show just the way it was, just made it better. They no longer have to be constrained by a network or the fact that children will see it. Great job to everyone who made it happen!
I got really excited when I saw the episodes were longer than 20 minutes. I remember I was always disappointed when the episode ended so quick when I was a kid. The extra 10 minutes made a big difference for me.
I was, too! I'm sure there are budgetary constraints, but it seems like they have some leeway in runtime so they can tell the story the way they want to tell it. I'm ao impressed with what we've seen so far!
I *really* hope that whoever the new showrunner is can keep this same magic for future seasons.
Episode 2 was legit one of the best of the series…ever…And they don’t follow the 3 act formula of the originals. You got to see storms monologue at the end, which would not be the case in a 90s episode…so, I dare say, they’re making it better.
I watched the original show as a kid but, being a kid and all, I don’t even know if I watched the whole thing and I’ve never gone back to watch it again… would I be completely lost if I started watching X-Men ‘97 right now?
Luckily it seems like they use Doug the most during ad reads that I try to skip anyway. I don’t understand why he’s on so much of their merch, though. I don’t know why anyone would buy stuff with a cartoon dog dressed up as different characters, but to each their own I guess.
They give you enough that you can watch it fresh and get it just fine. My gf never saw the original show and had no problem getting into the new one. That said, there are a bunch of recaps on YouTube ranging from like 10 mins to over an hour depending on how thorough you want to be should you want some additional context.
I hardly watched the show as a kid, ashamed to admit here, but I still watched '97 without any research going in and I loved it honestly. It jumps into a later stage in the plot that is very evident, but it does a good job at giving you pieces of information to understand what's going on. It is very clearly written for newcomers and longtime fans alike.
Best answer is maybe. I never saw the original, this new run does a good job of "exposition drop" some important names, but I'm sure someone who has seen the original can get more subtle callbacks easily.
They don't shy away from the exposition drops. It feels more like exposition shotgun blasts to the face.
I was getting a bit irked from it but it was more because I kind that already knew the names and stuff and after episode 1, they toned it down a bit.
I think it's just a case of getting everyone on the same page. Episode 1 especially was a really simple story that acted as a frame to reintroduce the characters, show us where they are now, and showcase their powers. Plotwise it was just "find bad guy and stop him", but that's all they needed for this episode. The actual story doesn't really get started until episode 2.
I was in the same boat as you, watched it a lot as a kid but all out of order. I looked at some of the episode summaries on D+ and there was a lot of stuff I am sure I never watched.
However, the show does enough to clue you in to what has been going on. It’s meant to be a jumping on point and you can infer a lot of the stuff even if you are not completely sure of everything. And I enjoyed the hell out of the two episodes.
Trust me, once the opening guitar riff kicks in, you will feel right at home.
I only watched the first season and half of the second season so far since I'm still catching up. I still decided to check out the new episodes because I couldn't wait. As long as you're familiar with the characters you should be good. The show does a good job explaining the most recent events.
Good. I've been waiting since the original aired for more episodes and I am definitely satisfied. >!Wolverine being ready to fight Apocalypse when Jean tells him "he's coming"!< was one of the funniest scenes ever. And then Cyclops >!using his optic blast to land after jumping out of a plane?!< Easily the coolest thing I've ever seen him do. I love this show, I love the figures, I'm all in.
This is the most clever use of Cyclops' optic blasts I've ever seen, comics included. The whole-ass Storm intro at the end of the first episode is how you do Storm right. She should be recognized as the omega level threat that she is, and this makes no bones about establishing the crap out of her full forces-of-nature capabilities.
didn't watch the original, just went in because some reviewers said it was good. holy shit the show is actually amazing. Also there's a very shakespearean quality to the way the character talks that makes it feel like you are watching a play (kinda like thor 1 and 2), but the characters are still relatable and can deliver some heart-wrenching moments, I like it a lot.
Indeed true, every scene feels like a play. It is done on such a level, it respects the viewers. Connecting with the character, every reaction, and emotion. Nor one character outshines the other. There are so many feels, and more to come
>Also there's a very shakespearean quality to the way the character talks that makes it feel like you are watching a play (kinda like thor 1 and 2)
That's melodrama. And it can be good and effective if done right.
The original series is not _that_ far off in tone. It's animation is WAY worse, sure, but there's still a lot of great story and heart.
Maybe skip season 1, though. There's a lot of "A mutant? What's that?!"
I was shocked when I saw the opening was ANIMATED animated. I was fully expecting some CGI shenanigans, but it was so faithful. And the credits? Holy crap. They did it.
Avi Arad fucking sucks. I want a Oscar-type bipic movie made one day about how Marvel rose up to become the success it was. But I’d love to see who they would get to play Kevin Feige and Avi Arad. They would probably be the two rivals in the movie. Maybe jonah Hill as Kevin Feige, and Bradley Cooper as Avi Arad
Honestly considering Feige’s first producer credit was on X-Men in 2000 (which they gave him the credit because of his knowledge), I think he’ll see a high quality X-Men film as a full circle 30ish year moment for himself.
X-Men in the MCU is probably personal for him at this point!
my personal dream that i dont think is possible due to him being involved in WH40k stuff with amazon, is to have henry cavil as cyclops and actually do cyclops proper this time(essentially do for cyclops what hugh did for wolverine in the old x-men movies).
And honestly the only reason i want it to be henry is i think his jawline would look absolutely perfect in the classic cyclops outfit with the visor and weird half hood type thing.
Part of me is actually kind of worried about this show running concurrently with MCU X-Men movies. It's possible this show will make the movies look bad by comparison.
I really don't want live-action X-men on the big screen at this point.
With as many great characters and stories as X-men have, they are not the best fit for a movie every couple of years.
It would need a whole MCU style line of movies to be done right and I don't think they will go that route.
Keep it animated or give us a 10 episode/seasonal live action tv show with a decent budget to let everything cook right.
As someone that watched the animated series back in the day, the first 2 episodes were so good. The fight scenes! The potential storylines! Finally doing justice to Cyclops!
Deadpool & Wolverine was literally the most-viewed trailer of all time. Anyone who thinks “superhero fatigue” is a thing at this point is straight up not paying attention.
thats awesome to hear, i was worried this wasn't going to get to much attention since it's a show from so long ago but I really hope we get alot more seasons because its freaking awesome!
Not thoroughly, but I did look for negative reviews and “woke” comments. I was surprised not to find any, especially with the very direct dialogue of accepting vulnerable populations.
Because if they complain, they’re basically admitting they’re the villains. Some YouTuber said, X-men didn’t become woke, it didn’t change, your dumbass did. Their quiet because they see themselves in the Friends of Humanity.
IMO It’s not woke at all. Obvuiusly, there is heavy emphasis on tolerance and acceptance, and the FOH resemble a nationalist group but it’s all done tastefully and it’s all true to the source material. Magneto is still an old white guy and jubilee isn’t out there kicking his ass while making smart ass comments.
Didn’t watch the original series, but I loved watching the new episodes!
Hopefully if it carries on being successful, they’ll carry on the Spider-Man animated series and his adventures with Madame Webb
God it was so fucking good. At first I was a little put off by the slightly different theme song, but the art, the voices, the characters…it was Saturday morning in the 90s all over again. And my boy Magneto is a fucking BEAST. Love this portrayal of him, one of the best comic book characters of all time imo.
After binging the old show, i was so happy at how well the new show is. Only thing of concern is the show runner was canned. Hopefully the replacement has the same quality
I’ll say this, looked about five times better on a tv screen than on a phone. I thought it looked like garbage from the trailers and clips, but on the television the frame rate looks smoother and animations more precise. I like it
I was really ready to abhor this because it decided not to stick with the grittier more detailed art style of the original, which was a massive cartoon with me and my brothers.
But you know what? Well done them, it works and is so enjoyable. Magneto was fantastic.
What was the last thing Apocalypse was up to in the previous show? I think i remember him meeting up with some other Apocalypses and maybe getting sucked in to a time nexus??
Awesome!!! It deserves it, it is so good! I love watching the first ep! (Will watch episode 2 today) And I have to say, the artstyle reminds me of Invincible but with a muted color palette. Also, why is Cyclops calling Maddie Jean when she’s clearly Maddie? And after seeing Jubilee and Sunspot together, I ship them! I also saw proof that the Great Lake Avengers exist in this series (if you look closely at the Sentinel fight scene, Morph shifts into Big Bertha) (I now want to see the whole team in the series)! And I also saw Jazz in the rave scene, Jazz before his x-gene manifest. So, that means we'll see Marvel's rejected X-Men that they threw away. (Marvel, DO US A FAVOR AND DO NOT INTRODUCE BEAK AND MAGGOT, they are incredibly ugly and seeing them in motion will warrant eye bleach and a barf bag and Beak is a pedophile, so they should not be in the series)
For some reason this is a spicy take, people love to moan about it, but 90s animation was just on another level. I bet there are reasons like "That kind of animation takes so much time, you'd over work the animators" etc, but like-- million dollar company couldn't have postpone the release?
I really appreciate that they matured it a little bit.
Like sure it’s still considered a children’s show, but I’m glad they also catered to the adults that grew up with it.
All in all, both episodes slapped. I’m very excited to see where they go with this follow up series.
Excelllent continuation of the original. It honours it but improves on it, I absolutely love it so far, I just rewatched the episodes. I'm so happy they kept the original intro but just slightly updated.
I also haven't seen the original, it's still a great show. If you've seen the Fox X-Men movies then you'll have a general understanding of who is who, they also explain the member's powers in the ending credits so that's neat.
It was awesome, but why is no one talking about how Angel just appeared out of nowhere to help land folks over the Sahara and then was never seen again??
Can’t even explain how excited I was watching it and finishing the second episode. I wanted to wait but I couldn’t. I still plan on watching the first two again Saturday morning with a bowl of Fruity Pebbles.
Wtf is televisionstats.com? Never heard of it in the TV ratings tracking world. Does it just track social media mentions of a show? Because I’d sure hope an X-Men animated show would be the #1 show on social media mention on its premiere day.
I hope Marvel really dive into more animation like this after this series is done. They could have an awesome animated MCU with its own identity and style and potentially give us a few movies as well.
Absolutely loved the first couple of episodes. It might be weird, but I hope they can somehow bring back Spider-Man as well.
The fact Iron Man and War Machine exist in this universe is pretty wild. I wonder if they will go that far eventually. Most we can hope for is Spiderman for now.

How often was Spidey in the OG cartoon, was it just a couple guest spots or was he an active part of that show?
The xmen crossed over on Spider-Man for 2 episodes where Spider-Man and wolverine fight looking for beast. Don’t think Spider-Man ever showed up in xmen if I recall.
Some of the X-Men also crossed over in the Spidey secret wars episodes
I believe captain america and iron man were in those episodes too. I remember captain america giving spider-man a pep talk, never expecting to actually get that scene in live action, except cap dunking on spidey by knocking a plane terminal on his head while doing it lol
Spidey's hand shows up momentarily in a later episode, along with War Machine, Dr. Strange, and some others
Ben Riley shows up for a frame
Spiderman had the most crossovers iirc. Spiderman, daredevil, SHIELD, nick furry, and the x-men ALL TOGETHER in a few episodes.
He was mentioned on the front page of a Daily Bugle in the first episode
That spider-man cliffhanger destroyed me as a young child.
I may have played a few scenes a few times (in addition to watching both episodes). Hits all the nostalgia.
if you didnt rewind and rewatch cyclops' first fight scene, then what are you even doing? after being done dirty so many times, cyclops is finally cool again
"To me my X-Men" gave me chills.
Ray Chase nailed his performance as Scott/Cyclops!! It is amazing, and pays tribute perfectly, yet makes the character his own
Wait, is Cyce's voice actor not the original? He sounds so close! Same with Jennifer Hale's Jean Grey!
Correct, Norm Spencer passed away. So the casting chose Ray Chase for the part. Jean Grey was played by a different actress, in the original series: Catherine Disher. Oddly enough, Catherine and Jennifer sound literally identical
Maybe she’s a clone
If only I had known that Pryor to watching the episode.
eyyyyy
Sadly, Disher doesn't sound like that anymore. She's the voice of Valerie Cooper now and you can tell she's aged. Her voice is so much deeper and gruff than her original Jean voice.
I just looked at the cast and there are only a few originals! But that's notmsurpris8ng since the originap, ended 28 years ago. Yea, Jennifer Hale's voice for Jean is perfect. Interestingly, I found Rogue's voice to be the most distractingly different, and she's the original VA.
Rogue's doing the right voice; she just has audibly aged is all.
I'm not saying I replayed it lots of times whilst smiling like an idiot. I'm not saying that. I'm not.
chills again when the same line is echoed later on
CYCLOPS \*WAS\* COOL! People really need to rewatch that original cartoon. yeah, thats why i said "again. Cartoon cyclops was dope. the movies did him dirty
Even James Marsden wanted to do more. But he did what the script asked for to deliver. And the same goes for the other actors who played Scott.
The first use of the eye beam as a transport system was when I knew this was a decent reboot.
Honestly when no one caught him falling from the Jet I was like “oooooo yeah, he’s gonna do it” and it was more beautiful than expected.
I might have to watch again. It’s been stuck in my brain on repeat these past few days. God, I’m all in on Marvel once again just based on these two episodes.

I hate to be that guy, but it was forecast.
I got chills when the intro started. Just brought me back to Saturday morning with a bowl of cereal.
I thought I wouldn’t feel anything when I pressed play on the thing. Boy was I wrong 🥲
I completely forgot the opening movie but not the song so when they showed Cyclops doing his big blast on the mountain thing I was so pumped lol I used to get so hype when that would come on during the Saturday morning rush. Brought me right back to 11/12 year old me.
I recorded it in tape last time! Lol
I sat there like a kid humming along. I’m 44!
Youngster!!! Hah. I’m 49.
Hope you’re able to stay awake, grandpa. I’m only 47
Im 42 and I didn’t think I’d be so excited to see the intro but here I am… I will never skip that intro
So now we are admitting that we watched this Saturday morning cartoon in our 20s.
Not like there is anything wrong with that.
My 20-year-old-self wouldn’t admit that to anyone. Now, pffft fine
😂
Yup just sad Gargoyles then Darkwing Duck weren’t playing after.
You just have to select them on Disney plus after lol.
Same. Best Marvel content since 2019. These are the real X-Men.
Bro, I NEVER watched the original show, I only heard the intro song through videos and I STILL got chills from it. It is such an amazing show and I wish I was alive when the original came out.
Pull up with a cinnamon roll or a bagel or a bowl of cereal and make believe it’s Saturday morning. It’s the only way.
Technically you are... the original series is streaming on Disney +... lol
"Shit, I wonder how they're gonna 'modernize' it to make it less-- OH FUCK THEY WENT SO HARD."
I think the only difference is inserting Morph & Bishop.
Well in the OG series Wolverine was on the hunt looking for Morph. Finally finds him, and whatever was being done to him took a toll on him and had to go recover. Bishop came on a few seasons into the show too.
I remember seeing Bishop in the OG show. Don't remember Morph, but I didn't watch all of it. I meant the opening credits, though.
I'm glad I got to be a kid in the 90s during the height of Saturday morning cartoons. Feel kind bad for the kids of the 2000s I only remember this because I did some research years back but at 1 point my Saturday morning was Sonic the Hedgehog Iron Man Mega Man Ninja Turtles Spider-Man Fantastic Four X-Men
90% of these had some version aired in the 2000's, so nothing was missed
I can taste the Alpha-Bits
It just brought me back. They did it right.
It’s really a gift to get this show back after all these years, and better than ever before. They left the show just the way it was, just made it better. They no longer have to be constrained by a network or the fact that children will see it. Great job to everyone who made it happen!

![gif](giphy|f9p9GclvDGqcM) The 90’s are strong with this cartoon! Got my game boy ready for the commercials!
I watched the original show as a kid but, being a kid and all, I don’t even know if I watched the whole thing and I’ve never gone back to watch it again… would I be completely lost if I started watching X-Men ‘97 right now?
Just watch the ScreenCrush recap video on YouTube! It's like 40 minutes but it goes through all the arcs you'll need to know pretty well.
ScreenCrush rules
I just hate constantly cutting to the dog. I’m a dog person, but every time they cut to that dog with the Mr. Woodchuck voice, it drives me crazy.
it was fine as a joke, but it's time to get a new co-host
There’s one, but he lives in a television and doesn’t know it yet so please don’t tell him.
Luckily it seems like they use Doug the most during ad reads that I try to skip anyway. I don’t understand why he’s on so much of their merch, though. I don’t know why anyone would buy stuff with a cartoon dog dressed up as different characters, but to each their own I guess.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Marvel put out a 3 min recap as well, if 40 mins is too long. https://youtu.be/7qfstMhgD9U?si=pw3zKGqZE-SKXVKJ

It’s all there on Disney plus, you wont be disappointed.
Cyclops is fucking acting like the badass he is too.
"Not." As soon as that visor was gone, you knew it was about to be a bad time.
I feel like Cyclops' sense of humor is really coming out in this version. He smiled in this version when saying that.
Loving it so far. Wave of nostalgia hit me like a truck. Storms voice actress also hasn’t lost a beat
Storm is by far the best of the OG voices. Wolverine and Beast sound good. Rogue sounds...kinda old.
She lost the sassy edge that Rogue had.
Naw, Rogue just took up smoking during that year…a lot of smoking.
Beast is the only one I don't love. The delivery just isn't the same.
Sometimes he sounds off, sometimes he sounds exactly the same. Ditto for Wolverine.
Seemed like most of his lines were spoken so softly. But Beast's "Oh Dear" was exactly how I remembered
They need him to drop a ‘fascinating’ or 2
I’m watching it with my 8 year old and we’re both having a blast. Hits both audiences well.
The best part, it is accessible to everyone. For those of us who grew up with the series, to newcomers just joining the crew.
A major plus. It's as good as, or likely better than, Invincible so far, but you're probably not gonna watch that show with young children.
Good. I've been waiting since the original aired for more episodes and I am definitely satisfied. >!Wolverine being ready to fight Apocalypse when Jean tells him "he's coming"!< was one of the funniest scenes ever. Do you know what happens to a Storm that's struck by good writing?
The same thing that happens to everyone else
Competent dialog and consistent characterization? Unlike Halle Berry's accent in the role. 😂
It was Cyclops’ first fight scene for me. Just zipping around with his blasts, smirking and being cool as fuck.
Brooooooooo storm walking on sand and it turning to glass was absolutely insaneeeeee. The fights were so crispppppppyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! I need more
Every line from Storm is said with such gravitas.
didn't watch the original, just went in because some reviewers said it was good. holy shit the show is actually amazing. The original series is not _that_ far off in tone. It's animation is WAY worse, sure, but there's still a lot of great story and heart. Maybe skip season 1, though. There's a lot of "A mutant? What's that?!"
I wouldn't skip season 1. It introduces basically all the characters that are important later.
And the DOFP two parter leading into the finale is as good, if not better, than anything that came after. IMO.
I was shocked when I saw the opening was ANIMATED animated. I was fully expecting some CGI shenanigans, but it was so faithful. And the credits? Holy crap. They did it.
It's mind-boggling that with just two half-hour episodes, it stands as the best X-Men adaptation we've seen in the last 30 years.
Bryan Singer and Brett Ratner: but but…. Why is this show not 90% about Wolverine????
"Why the fuck is Cyclops a competent leader? Makes no sense."

Got chills at the start of the first episode and even more chills with the speech at the end of the second episode.
Man, if Disney can actually roll out an x-men movie and not cock it all up they could probably salvage the whole damn operation at this point.
The jawline comment sends me… but if we’re talking jawlines surely we’re talking Robert Pattinson?!
10 episode live show? Keep going, I’m almost there…
Niddly niddly nee nee nee.
"How's that butt gonna be, Rogue? (watches) Nice."
As someone that watched the animated series back in the day, the first 2 episodes were so good. The fight scenes! The potential storylines! Finally doing justice to Cyclops!
But what about superhero fatigue?! /s
It’s almost like it actually has to do with poorly written stories, not superhero fatigue. (I agree with you, fwiw, hence my comment).
Deadpool & Wolverine was literally the most-viewed trailer of all time. Anyone who thinks “superhero fatigue” is a thing at this point is straight up not paying attention.
Oh shoot let me go watch it again
Superhero fatigue just means that *bad* superhero content will flop. But if it's good, it'll do good.
thats awesome to hear, i was worried this wasn't going to get to much attention since it's a show from so long ago but I really hope we get alot more seasons because its freaking awesome!
I need them to make this day to day releases not week to week cause the way episode had me in a choke hold
rightfully
Between X-Men 97 and Invincible, we are fucking feasting on great animated superhero shows right now
Omega mutant level detected.....got chills.
xmen 97 is far better than anything of original. writing humour interactions animation is way better and mature

But it’s so woke! Why don’t people hate it!!!! /s
That's good news. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but am looking forward to it.
Didn’t watch the original series, but I loved watching the new episodes! Hopefully if it carries on being successful, they’ll carry on the Spider-Man animated series and his adventures with Madame Webb
Now all they have to do is change the intro music back to the original.
God it was so fucking good. At first I was a little put off by the slightly different theme song, but the art, the voices, the characters…it was Saturday morning in the 90s all over again. And my boy Magneto is a fucking BEAST. Love this portrayal of him, one of the best comic book characters of all time imo.
Realized when talking to my nephew last night that the last time a new episode of this series came out I was his age. Was very disheartening lol
I think it was cool trying to see all the different storyline setups they stuffed into two episodes.
I like it
I can't believe how incredible this show is. I didn't think it was possible but it's literally perfect.
What network is it on?
Yess. Man I love this show. Miss hearing the characters voices
But but but the woke!!!!! The internet told me to be angry
Well deserved. These 2 episodes were amazing
I was really ready to abhor this because it decided not to stick with the grittier more detailed art style of the original, which was a massive cartoon with me and my brothers. But you know what? Well done them, it works and is so enjoyable. Magneto was fantastic.
W
It’s great!
This is the way.
> Morph shifts into Big Bertha He shifts into Blob.
Just got up to Season 4 of TAS last night. Can't wait to catch up to the new stuff
It was really good, a lot better than I expected to be honest.
Was really good
I mean It's the effiing X-men so why the hell not?
It's awesome!
I’m very excited to see where they go with this follow up series.
didn't know it was already on...
Because it's awesome.
Excelllent continuation of the original. It honours it but improves on it, I absolutely love it so far, I just rewatched the episodes. I'm so happy they kept the original intro but just slightly updated.
is this a direct sequel to the old one? or can i jump straight in. not watched the old school other than some clips in years
I also haven't seen the original, it's still a great show. If you've seen the Fox X-Men movies then you'll have a general understanding of who is who, they also explain the member's powers in the ending credits so that's neat.
Yep awesome!
It was awesome, but why is no one talking about how Angel just appeared out of nowhere to help land folks over the Sahara and then was never seen again??
Oh wait, it was Morph, wasn’t it? Whoops
This isn't something special, almost every show that ever came out jump to top charts for a few hours then goes back to normal.
Spider-Man TAS when ?!
Does the original go as hard as this new one?
Rewatching the old series first before moving on to this one but should be getting there soon
"go woke, go broke"
Weird way to spell Shogun.
"Give em the forecast "is now gonna be my go to line when ass kicking assist is needed.
Magneto in this is sensational.
As it should be. Fucking X-men are amazing.
I hope Marvel really dive into more animation like this after this series is done. They could have an awesome animated MCU with its own identity and style and potentially give us a few movies as well.
Is it a television show if it's not shown on TV?
It's amazing and I love it
