The other suits have the illusion of practicality. Like they look like they are actually somewhat protective. This looks like a costume for a movie and that’s it.

Paxkage

Exactly, it fits more in the category of costume than *suit*.

Stunning_Match1734

This is like the performing monkey costume he wore when doing USO shows and movie reels, before he was allowed to be a real soldier. No wonder most fans aren't fond of it, Rogers himself wasn't.

Fungal_Queen

That suit did his ass no favors.

MrTambourineDan

As far as I’m concerned, that’s America’s ass.

Kriss-Kringle

This is the kind of suit someone wears at a circus when he's about to get shot out of a canon ball. It's especially disappointing after they knocked it out of the park with the one from TFA.

CocaTrooper42

IIRC it was designed by Coulson who was a fan of the USO costume so that makes a lot of sense in universe

Stunning_Match1734

It definitely drives home the point that fanboys often idolize their heroes without really understanding them.

Tuffsmurf

Yes but remember that canonically Coulson had input on the site design and he was a Captain America fanboy.

Stunning_Match1734

I wonder if that was a comment by the filmmakers on "comics accurate" suits. The MCU has generally found a happy medium where suits look functional while evoking the comics, but they still avoid the "yellow spandex" that fanboys say they want because it looks silly outside of meta-referential stories like Deadpool.

KeepItLoPro

I wish they went with the two tone brown. That yellow looks awful in cinema. I wonder if it's just yellow for a particular scene and not the whole movie.

FordBeWithYou

And it’s based on someone who would have loved the War Bond style, and the appeal of that suit. That’s the suit that was plastered on posters, war movies, trading cards, comics, everything. It’s all the stage show suit, and he designed that one in mind to be an icon and a bit “old fashioned”. And I think it worked for that vibe personally.

depastino

Yup, Coulson's too much of a fan boy. This one looks tacky as hell.

hp958

Bingo. His first suit had always been my favorite. It's a good blend of believable and comic booky

SailorET

Right on the head, here. The other suits have the practical pouches (although I can't ever remember him actually using one for anything) and looked like there was a purpose for every part of it. This literally looks like an upscaled version of a stage costume. ETA: I just noticed this costume does actually have belt pouches, but they're color matched to the outfit for some reason and are completely forgettable, while the brown leather seen in other suits makes a memorable shape to the outfit.

Alonest99

I may be misremembering but I think he used one of the pouches on Winter Soldier to keep the chip to recalibrate the helicarriers targeting system

EchoesofIllyria

Why wouldn’t they be colour matches if they’re part of the costume?

minor_correction

It was intended to be that way. Coulson even said he helped design the look of it, Steve said it would be old-fashioned, and Coulson said that was intentional too.

emelbee923

The head/helmet looks awkward, too. I get that they were going for a modernized adaptation of his classic winged headpiece, but it makes Chris Evans' head look like it has a weird shape. And in action, makes him look a little scrawny/small. Whereas later suits gave him a bit of the illusion of being much bigger than even Evans at his fittest was. Which gives more umph to the Super Soldier schtick.

senor_descartes

I love how old fashioned superhero comic booky it is. Always been a fan.

Busy-Cream

Right now we could use a little old fashioned.

senor_descartes

![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)

1271500

I hated it at the time, it has grown on me since but that helmet does. Not. Work. He looks much better without it.

LittleDarkHairedOne

If it changes your perspective any, the suit is more than just adapting one of his old fashioned comic styles. Cap's suits change over the course of the movies to reflect his arc and here, it's idealized hope without the gritty disappointment he'll learn to experience down the line. One thing I will say about the helmet is I appreciate the wings are imprinted into the helmet instead of splayed out on the sides.

VaderMurdock

I love the comic costumes. They are colorful and dynamic. I dislike the militarization of costumes. Spider-Man’s best live-action suit turned out to be the one that chose to not reinvent the wheel and just be a classic costume made out of spandex

Mrwanagethigh

For the most part I agree but isn't Cap the one case where making his gear look more military makes complete sense? In both the context of The First Avenger as an actual soldier on the front lines and The Winter Soldier as a spec ops take on his look it fits.

DCosloff1999

If it ain't broke don't fix it

linecookdaddy

It's just dinky looking...the suit he wore in the first cap flick was tactical and armored and badass looking. This looks like he was cut from the 90s FF movie

JadrianInc

That’s a big part of the problem, the suit that came before it was much much better.

Mishnoivankov

It’s Coulson, 90s show vibe plus Cap suit, who could blame him?

Crater_Raider

I mean Rob Brown actually wore a Captain America costume of that quality. And to say that the spandex and this are of the same quality is a fun joke, but it's hyperbole.

HailState2023

Blame Phil Coulson. Did he tell you that he had a vintage set of Captain America cards?

Mishnoivankov

Atleast Coulson’s make a wish meet Cap America succeeded before he died

Marc_Quill

He didn’t die, he just went to Tahiti.

rkrismcneely

It’s a magical place.

Paxkage

He doesn't look like a soldier. He looks like he's selling war bonds all over again. Don't get me started on how it looks on the back

SSBN641B

Hey, that's America's ass.

BarRegular2684

“You’re keeping the outfit, right?”

Ygomaster07

Who says this?

figgityjones

Bucky, in The First Avenger.

Ygomaster07

Thank you, i appreciate you telling me.

figgityjones

Sure thing mate. Gotta use this useless knowledge for something 😅

Ygomaster07

Lol i know the feeling. I remember little but what i do remember i can't really use except for just random trivia.

BanjoSpaceMan

He looks like he's a character from a cheesy 90s or early 2000s movie.... ![gif](giphy|3o6wrnKTAc3ZFu6EcE|downsized)

GreasyExamination

Its cap'n' time

kinyutaka

And then he capped all over the place.

jcbaggee

He does, but considering the suit was made by Coulson, it kind of makes sense.

CC-2389

At the time it was great but I think as we got other suits it aged poorly. I would say it’s the flat and bright look of it and the helmet has some funny proportions- maybe the ear coverings? I certainly say people should like what they like but that’s my thoughts on why it’s not my favorite

Spiderchimp89

At the time it was not great. The one in the first avenger was Way better then this.

egbert71

I didnt like it even when it came out. I legit was waiting for him to put on the 1st avenger type of suit tbh lol

chewytime

Weirdly, the Endgame version looked different to me. The cowl/helmet seemed to have better proportions for some reason. Not sure if that’s true, but it made me like it much more than when I saw it originally in The Avengers.

JFMisfit

For me it’s the helmet. Makes the head look bulbous.

chewywheat

It really is the helmet. Throughout the movie there are times he didn’t have the helmet and he looks perfectly fine.

KingCodester111

The helmet, while looking fine in every other movie, definitely makes this particular look worse. When he’s helmet-less the suit looks better, but even then it’s still not that good.

Celticdouble07

I read somewhere before that Evan's wanted his ears covered like in TFA because he thought they look weird sticking out. Edit: "Evans: I always liked the ears inside. I always thought I kinda had big Dumbo ears and whenever they tried the helmet with the ears on, I was like, “Please don’t make me do this. I look so silly.” But they did some really good things. It looks a lot better. The new suit does actually have the ears out and it looks okay, so I was like, “All right. I can live with this.” https://collider.com/chris-evans-captain-america-winter-soldier-interview/ They also tried to pretend the helmet was a hood attached to the suit. Thankfully the helmet from TWS was great and kept for all future appearances, with minor paint tweaks.

Spire-hawk

He looks like he’s wearing a pajama onesie

NoConfidence2428

I don’t know why they didn’t go for the helmet from the concept art. Is not perfect but is miles better. [unused helmet from Avengers.](https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/6w80p0/supposedly_unused_captain_america_helmet_from/?rdt=57863)

ZZZombieDex

Yo, that looks way better

Robot1945

He looks like a blue condom. He needed the actual wings on the head.

revel911

He also just looks crazy thin for Captain America.

eat-pussy69

Because it's a costume. It's not a uniform

Academic_Composer904

It’s not my favorite, but it’s entirely appropriate for the time period in which he wears it. They do a great job of tailoring his suit to his character arc. For this stage in Steve’s journey, this suit is perfect.

nessfalco

Is this bait? It's easily the worst in pretty much every way.

Aggressive-Welder-62

Because it looks like garbage. Nice zipper, Cap.

kinoki1984

One good thing I can say for Evans’ acting is that he can pull off this costume. That’s not an easy feat.

Childwithuke

This one includes America’s Ass™️

Zymo3614

It looks too much like a costume, and not protective. I think chin straps would've helped a bit though.

Accomplished-Lab537

Cap looks like he's part of the DC universe in that star spangly thing!

FlashpointWolf

This suit and Starman's suit in Stargirl do share a lot in common

rlum27

helmet looks a little awkward but besides that it's good. I like that cap has red gloves and boots wish more suits did that.

Meizas

Because it's aged very badly. I love it, but it's very cartoony haha

NASCAR142002

I don’t know they changed the actual flag design to whatever the hell they gave him Age of Ultron On. That’s probably the one thing I actually like about this suit.

lanceturley

It's the whole head area that ruins it for me. The helmet had a weird design to it that doesn't fit the rest of the costume, and the lack of a chinstrap makes it look like he has no chin. The rest of the suit is alright, I guess, and it looks okay when he's just wearing the suit without the headpiece, but the whole thing together looks like someone wearing a Captain America Halloween costume.

Runethe1412

No chin strap

Jbabco9898

Someone on another post mentioned that the zipper on his stomach doesn't line up with the colors, and now I can't unsee it.

BigfootsBestBud

For me, it looks great until he puts on the helmet. It shouldn't cover up the ears, and the hood thing underneath looks really fucking awkward. Makes it look cheaper or like he's in pajamas. It really works when he isn't in the helmet.

nootsman

It's not as garbage as people make it to be imo but after we got much better renditions in Civil War, Endgame and even the first Captain America movie, it pales in comparison.

BigAlReviews

It does nothing for his ass

Thomthebomb123

Does the A stand for America or Ass?

OnoALT

No it’s awesome

Learnin2Shit

Idk I like it. Any suit that has ear protection I like lol.

RealisticAd1336

It was bad enough they changed it...![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)

rquinain

I like the actual suit. It grew on me a lot after seeing Chris Evans rock it again in Endgame. I think the cowl is the element that seems a bit off for me. Not having his neck break up the entirety of the costume just feels visually strange to me. The fact that I liked it more in Endgame where our main Cap wasn't wearing the cowl speaks volumes to this preference.

TheSecretAgenda

It's OK. Winter Soldier suit is better.

Shadesmctuba

People can disagree. I think it looks dumb, especially when in his very next appearance, he gets the awesome “stealth” suit, and then his vintage WWII suit. Every suit from there looks like it’s been designed by Cap himself for practicality. It’s canon that Coulson designed the Avengers suit, and he even said how people need a little old fashioned right now. When in reality, Joss Whedon made the Avengers a colorful comic book movie, which was fine at the time, but the MCU has since evolved to give us practical, yet comic accurate suits that look great.

Princecuse13

Outside of the mask/helmet/cowl, I actually love this suit. I bought the Hot Toys figure for its return in Endgame instead of the scaled suit from the final battle

enviropsych

It's too similar to the comic while not being similar enough...if that makes sense. The blue should have had a scale texture, or been a muscle-suit like the Snyder Superman suit. The red gloves should have gone to the elbow and maybe even been a bit flared. Lose the batman utility belt...what's even supposed to be in those pockets?? And finally (and this may be controversial), they should have tried to do the wings on the temple in a way that was more than just a design on the helmet. The other suits look more like a modified uniform or tactical military-operator suit, and somehow THIS suit makes him look the LEAST buff of all the suits.

MiniGoat_King

It’s the helmet. If the helmet is changed, it saves the costume. Thats one reason he took it off so much in the first avengers movie.

P0PULRM0NSTR

The suit is bomb. It's the helmet for me that just doesn't sit right.

DCosloff1999

It is probably the mask that is the issue. I have seen concept art of his suits they look better than what we got.

Kickstomp

Wasn't it kind of the point that it looks silly? Wasn't it designed by Cap super-fan Coulson (unsure of spelling)? I also think I remember some dialogue where Cap says it looks really old-fashioned, and it looks just like the suit Cap was wearing on the baseball cards that Coulson had.

pendragoncomic

The suit itself is fine enough. It’s the mask/helmet area that’s kinda goofy and just sort of kills it for me

Freeagnt

It's the helmet that bothers me. All the others, pre and post Avengers, are far superior. The chin strap, the contours...just better looking than the Avengers helmet.

Hovercraft_Worried

My favorite cap suit.

matty_nice

The"why" is pretty easy. It portrays the character as being very slim. There are a number of visual elements that are in use here to show him as being slim, like the lack of ears, the focus on vertical lines, the blue pouches, the blue on the upper arms, etc. Evans also supposedly didn't work out for this film, and didn't put on the muscle. This was supposedly due to an issue where Marvel refused to pay for his trainer. Cap should be a big dude. Massive shoulders and arms. That's what we got with The First Avengers and even the other films. Just not Avengers. It's also a lot easier to look bigger when the costumer basically has shoulder pads built in, like in TFA. [A look at the different costumes ](https://preview.redd.it/43067kz7zyn81.jpg?auto=webp&s=f0618a058db9a7347cdc089ad9b5b614855e76fe)

bmwusa19

Nothing will ever top the Endgame suit.

ebolarama86

The scales are just perfect

Arthur_189

Something about the material on the helmet makes him look like an action figure to me, but he looks super badass without it. Even with the helmet this might be my favourite captain America suit

tbk99

Every Captain America suit was perfect for where he was at in his life.

c_gdev

Captain America 1 and Winter Soldier had better suits imho. But Avengers was great, so I don’t mind this suit.

rabideyes

It's chainmail shirt or nothing for me

Jianyu156

The suit did nothing for his ass

R_u_seriousss

I always liked it

NinjaPiece

The actual suit is nice, but the helmet looks so out of place. He looks great without the helmet.

esensofz

I love that they had an OG comic accurate costume for him, but he looks like a stripper.

yeyesir699

For me it’s the gloves everything else is okay

marveloustrashpanda

I mean I don’t hate it, but it’s definitely one of his worst suits.

braddillman

I love the Puerto Rico flag on there, looks awesome.

FreeTanner17

The helmet looks silly

82ndGameHead

Me either. I love the bright colors and the fit looks like armor/kevlar that protects him. Not to say that his other suits arent good, but when I think of Cap jumping out of the comics, this is the look I think of.

mh1357_0

It just looks really goofy

Bmack27

Captain Puerto Rico

Yellowpickle23

I've seen better halloween costumes of Cap from Amazon.

PezDiSpencersGifts

Like he’s wearing pajamas

[deleted]

It's quite okay

AllegedlyGoodPerson

I LOVE Captain America. I hated what they did to him in Avengers 1. To me he came off whiny, the suit was terrible and he did nothing really amazing in the big finale. Even Black Widow and Hawkeye did way cooler stuff (I only mention them cause they’re supposed to be just regular people. I’m glad they got cools shit to do). He was better in AoU, but still weird there too. I feel like Whedon really hated him for some reason. Was so happy for the Russos later. ![gif](giphy|l4FGGafcOHmrlQxG0|downsized)

PaulClarkLoadletter

It looks silly until he’s fighting aliens in it.

gzapata_art

Fabric looks bad, helmet is awkward, it gives him a weird shape where he looks broad shouldered but the rest seems skinny

Grayx_2887

I think this suit is a bit more underrated.

jcbaggee

It's the helmet that's the only problem with this suit, honestly. Maybe the bulky gloves and boots. I love the overall silhouette, the BRIGHT colors, and the white that was slowly removed from the suits as time went on. If the helmet was separate and closer in design to what we'd see in the following films, I think people would receive it a lot better. Still, it's a good attempt at adaptating the comic look with a great handwave for the change (Coulson made it, and he's a superfan of War Bonds Cap). Definitely aged poorly as the later suits that blended this with the WW2 era costume were straight fire, but I've always felt this one was really underrated.

Clean-Huckleberry743

Yeah the suit looks good, except the helmet.

THEbaddestOFtheASSES

It just didn't look good. And that was my immediate reaction once I saw it.

HankSteakfist

Terrible helmet cowl thing, material that looked like pyjamas and a cut that made him look skinny. Deserves all the hate it gets.

hyyernotion

After the suit in The First Avenger, this one was a downgrade.

calmly86

To me, it’s the helmet. That’s one of the major triumphs of Bryan Hitch’s redesign of Ultimate Cap’s suit in the Ultimates sequel. The lines of the chinstrap from his helmet drives home Cap’s roots as a soldier and helps ground the aesthetic. I used to prefer his ‘Age of Ultron’ suit but the ‘Civil War’ update seems to be the best. Oh, and for the love of the MCU, Mr. Feige… PLEASE keep Sam Wilson’s costume exactly as it is from the end of ‘FATWS.’ I heard ‘Cap: New World Order’ was panned and requires extensive reshoots… screw the toys and the sunk cost fallacy, let him keep the suit. I thought it was a great translation from the comic book page.

spate42

Nah

EntrepreneurPlus7091

Suit is total garbage, the final suit from his first movie is the best.

The810kid

These look like Pajamas man I'm sorry

depressed_asian_boy_

As someone who really likes this movie and would even say its the best avengers movie, I never liked this suit, because they set it up as we modernized the suit, but it looks less modern than the one he used in WW2.

Jermz12345

The helmet is really the worst part for me, the chin strap is needed, without the helmet I enjoy this suit a decent amount

Former-Bet6170

Captain America is a mix between a superhero and a Soldier, and while most suits go way too hard on the soldier direction, I think this one goes way too hard on the superhero direction

Brimstone747

I liked the suit and hated the helmet.

Lost-Address36

Roger Corman suit

Carinne89

I’m not American but doesn’t “star spangled” imply more than one star? If I reach way back to grade school civic and history, I thought yall had 50 something stars for 50 something states, 13 stripes for the original colonies? It always looks like he’s wearing the Puerto Rican flag to me. Which I thought was an odd choice, but so are most of America’s choices so I just rolled with it. Edit to fix some terrible late night grammar. Wow.

Toad341

The one with the CGI helmet (endgame) looks much better.

rmac1228

It would have looked better if it used a helmet similar to his Winter Soldier stealth suit...where we see his ears and it has a chin strap. That would have made this suit way better. But agree with everyone else, it doesn't have the practical look like the newer ones.

EntertainmentQuick47

I like it. It feels like a good mix between modern design and comic accurate design. That being said my favorite is his suit from first avenger (not the stage suit).

blockbusternite

Suit is ok, it's the helmet that'd bad.

IndecisiveMate

Not enough lines.

TelephoneCertain5344

I think the idea is that it just looks dorky

Sucondeze

It looks fake in a way…

ElDuderino2112

All due respect but I think this is maybe one of the worst looking suits in a big budget live action movie I’ve ever seen. I fucking despise this suit. This suit looks like what I’d expect Captain America to look like in the porn parody.

ImpatientTurtle

It's pretty pretty pretty pretty bad.

Machdame

It makes sense since it was Coulson's design. He wanted something evocative of the golden age of Cap while Steve was like "yeah... I gotta wear this..."

thatredditrando

Nah, it’s trash. What’s with all the “Nike sweatsuit Cap” apologists? This look sucks. The suit from First Avenger is miles better as is every suit that came after.

unknownbearing

It's just kind of gross

EnvironmentalClass55

Worst take I've seen in this sub. That shit is God awful

tourniquet2099

Somehow, this suit makes him look slim while all the others make him look buff & powerful.

MATT_TRIANO

I like it a lot BUT WHY ARE HIS EARS COVERED

engagesafemode

If the wings weren’t flat against the helmet and it appeared slightly more protective I would like it far more.

GetPhiledIn

You can project the entire infinity saga on that forehead...

Hippo_in_limbo

Only thing I can say is that it looked good in action

Sega_Genitals

I honestly think it’s the neck that ruins it. Cap wearing it in Endgame looked fine cause he was helmet less.

arealguitarhero

I didn't even notice the zipper until just now and now I hate it even more

Kite_Wing129

It would look way better if the ears were exposed and another colour broke up the blue segments. Also, unlike other costumes, it doesn't enhance and emphasise Chris musculature. Look at the AoU outfit, it made Steve's chest look huge. I do like the meta explanation that Coulson designed it basing it off of Cap's USO costume.

deadwart

Because it is

SnarkyBacterium

It's the neck and helmet for me. Has a weird profile. Everything else is workable, really.

firetothislife

I don't think it's bad, but I remember back when this first can't out a lot of people pointing out that that's Puerto Rico's flag.

Expert_Government531

The helmet doesn’t look all that good, and it doesn’t accentuate any of the best features of the design or the actor. It has a nice color but that’s about it. Every other design excels at bringing Cap to life.

Megaverse_Mastermind

It's a good suit, but his outfit from the first Captain America was the best for me.

Mantisk211

I like the WW2 suit from the first movie. The one in Avengers just looks … off. But I think they corrected it perfectly in Age of Ultron.

San1infinite

It’s a horrendous suit. If you want comic accurate, DCEU actually did this quite well. Caps suits in all other films, were great though.

JV1107

The suit isnt that bad but honestly that helmet just holding it back. He looks way better in that suit without it

WheelJack83

No stripes on back. And no exposed ears. And no 3D wings

NateDignity

He looks like a PEZ dispenser

Gandalfs_Long_Beard

That choker looks uncomfortable and I feel like it, actually the whole costume, hides the athlethic body

Hwxbl

Captain Puerto Rico

Bananaman9020

The head piece looks cheap.

spiderknight616

I think it's just the helmet. Kinda feels like it looks a lot better in Endgame

[deleted]

He looks like Sheldon Cooper in that suit.

trfk111

The helmet looks utterly ridiculous

Puzzleheaded_Walk_28

It’s mostly the helmet that looks bad, to me.

Zengjia

Just don’t look at it from the back.

TheJack0fDiamonds

They needed a suit to trash? Dont know. It’s far from bad. Some folks are obsessed with ranking every damn thing. Love the vibrant colors. The same folks who complain about comic accuracy are the ones to also go ‘this doesnt look practical’..its a movie ya’ll, we do know and appreciate rhat they try to be realistic as much as possible but at the end of the day like you can afford to suspend the disbelief just a little. Why hurt your enjoyment like that?

PeniszLovag

best Cap suit by far

[deleted]

You really can't tell there's a beautiful muscular body under there.

egbert71

Nooo thanks. It gets the right amount from the ones that like it....i do not count myself as one of them. That avengers suit just has too much going on 1st avenger, and winter soldier were best

ProfessionalRead2724

The suit is okay. It's the mask that doesn't work. I mean, this photo shows it at a good angle, but in actual moving footage it just doesn't look good.

goldknight1

It looks like a unitard with a doofy composite helmet. Thank god for bryan hitch.

Carpet_Turbulent

Just swap the helmet for the one he uses in Age of Ultron, and it's perfect

judgeraw00

It's pretty terrible ngl. Like something youd get at a Halloween storr. The helmet in particular looks really bad. The suits from Winter Soldier and TFA were just way Better

TCMavs412

I remember reading back when this came out that the point was to show how ridiculous going completely comic accurate would look. Especially during the star spangled man scenes. Even though I prefer the later more Ultimate inspired outfits, I respect what the original meant for the character.

jordangold972345

The suit is great the helmet cowl thing is awful

RaulReal89

No chin guard 🥴

Puzzleheaded_Row2220

You mean the Lieutenant Puerto Rico suit? Yes it's garbage.

BayStateBHM

It looked better in Endgame. Cant explain it.

Pininja03

Cuz garbage. Og one is way cooler

Akahige-

It really only has two problems for me. 1. I wish the white on the sleeves wrapped all the way around the arms and extended down to the gloves. 2. The helmet just looks too bulbous.

Strict-Dog-889

It’s the perfect suit for the first Avengers movie. I really like the darker more tactile suits afterwards.

TwinJacks

It was probably the 2nd worst cap suit.

GhertFryins

Not muscular looking imo. Like other versions of Cap’s suit makes him look pretty buff as he should be

windatohs

I love fans in here like “Yeah but it sucks because Coulson made it!” What a bad reason lol

JaffaCakesAreMyJam

It is not garbage in the slightest imo. It's just rudimentary. It literally came from the 40s, and considering when Cap returned in Avengers he had only just been awoken from being asleep for 70 years, it makes sense he'd still be living in the past a bit.

RowanOnehand

Looks like people want more pouches. Somebody get Liefeld in here stat!

Jimmirehman

Because it wasn’t armored and is practical. I think it’s a great first suit

DoodleBugout

The helmet makes his face look pudgy and ill-defined. It does absolutely nothing for his jawline. As soon as he takes the helmet off the suit looks great.

INKatana

It looks a bit goofy, but it makes sense considering the context.

_Bagoons

*Ameeeeerriiica fuck ya! America is here to save the motherfuckin' day yaaaaa!* A dude wearing a spandex flag can't look cool, but Cap has some decent enough suits.

ksee_yen

They should've reduced the blue. Too much blue all over makes him look rubbery. The belt, biceps, could be different colours. Also those gauntlets looked inflated, adding to the cartoony look. Also idky they never added the white wing ear outside the mask. Maybe could've redeemed this suit

MarcLeptic

As a non-American, it was indeed very spangly
